Creative Cloud LR Mobile

Does anyone know if there is an additional charge to use the LR Mobile app on your iPad if you are a CC Photography member? Most things seem to suggest it is part of the package but on the CC LR web site the following note is included: Note: If you don't already have a Creative Cloud Photography or complete membership, your free 30-day trial for Lightroom mobile will start when you begin syncing photos. If it is included as part of the membership why would there be a 30-day trial?

Well, why are there trials for PS and LR at all? To get people to buy stuff. Trying LR mobile could get people to buy the full package, after all, could it not?

My husband and I subscribe to the creative cloud. We have 2 computers with programs installed on both, With the new lightroom mobile we would like to separately sync. I have a different photo catalog with my computer and I would like to sync with my catalog, but currently if I sign in - I sync w/ his. How can I have a separate lightroom mobile synced with MY computer?

Do you mean you are trying to sync files from Creative Cloud to mobile and it doesn't work? I don't know much about Lightroom. It's better to ask your question at Photoshop Lightroom.

Lightroom Mobile is not a cloud storage service. You shouldn't treat it as a way of backing up your files. You are merely storing Smart Previews of your files in the cloud space, high-quality JPEGs of your files regardless of their original format on your desktop. The point is that they are there so you can continue editing them in a Lightroom-like environment even while away from your desktop/laptop computer. The files in Lightroom Mobile can only be used in Lightroom Mobile.
This is very different from what is offered by the Creative Cloud storage, which can be used to synchronize your files between any device (that can support the individual files).
The vast difference in how each service works and its intended use is why they are separate.

I have just upgraded from Lightroom 5 standalone to Lightroom 6 standalone. I appear to have been automatically enrolled for a 30 day free trial of Lightroom Mobile and Creative Cloud. Reading the FAQ, it appears that after the expiry of the free trial, if I do not sign up and pay, I will only be able to view my pictures on the desktop but not edit them - surely this cannot be true. How do I un-enroll for the 30 day free trial of Lightroom Mobile and CC?

When I was signed into Adobe (which was a requirement for installing the upgrade), Lightroom 6 told my at the top right corner that I had 30 days left of my free trial of Lightroom Mobile and Creative Cloud. In parallel with this forum posting, I am chatting with Adobe support. he is away to find out how to prevent any synching with Creative Cloud during the 30 day free trial. I do not think that Creative Cloud is an application that gets installed on your PC. I'm using PC with Windows 8.1. I got onto the Creative Cloud and downloaded "Flash Professional CC and Mobile Device Packaging (2014)". <--- That would be the file. I can't open or run it from CC and I couldn't find a file in my computer either.
I've also found direct downloads for the trial version and hit the set-up button, it loads up, and then nothing happens.

Is there a way to temporarily ignore the Creative Cloud Desktop update? i.e. Mobile data use

I am a mobile tablet user (Windows 8). I am connected via mobile data wifi sometimes, and I need to grab a font or make a quick update to an Illustrator or InDesign project with a new font etc. The problem is that when a Creative Cloud Desktop update is available, it forces you to update. This can be slow and expensive over a mobile network. Is it possible to ignore an update temporarily so that you can function without the update? Quite frankly the Creative Cloud Desktop application seems to have an update every three to four days --- Makes it bothersome.

Please follow the below mentioned steps:
Windows: C/Program Files(X86)/Common Files/Adobe/AAMUpdaterInventory/1.0/AdobeUpdaterAdminPref.dat and rename it.
Mac: Library/Application Support/Adobe/AAMUpdaterinventory/1.0/AdobeUpdaterAdminPref.dat and rename it.
Now there should be no update prompt.

I hope I get the solution now after trying days and days I am a member of CC and I pay every month. So why there is not a good helpdesk to communicate with.

Try this:
Go to http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cc-direct-download-links.html and download and install LR5.4 from there.
You MUST follow the instruction under the heading "Note: Very Important Instructions".

Since I joined creative cloud, I have not been able to sync. Why the difference? Worked good during initial trial.
Also I had installed the Mosaic app for ipad before Lightroom mobile came out and I cannot seem to get rid of it. How can I get mosaic out? I have cancelled, I have deleted, I have looked through the files for visible remnants.

The sync count is 60 and static. The total number synced so far is 500+. None have been synced from the ipad except for corrections made there on those already synced.
I have deleted the Mosaic app from all machines and checked the library folder and have contacted the Mosaic tech support and they have discontinued my subscription. I still get mosaic messages on initiating Lightroom and sometimes at closing.
I have not tried to sync fewer yet, but some catalogs that I have tried are smaller numbers. Initially, it did well on good connections. Nothing works on my home connections over satellite.

Lightroom Mobile works inside Creative Cloud?

I've always backed up my photos with a custom database to Google Drive so I could access any of them at a moment's notice from my iPad or iPhone on the go. I've done this to be able to submit photos to stock websites when special requests are made for a specific picture.
I've considered instead making Lightroom my primary database and backing up catalogs every year or so in the Creative Cloud. However, Adobe only offers 20GB. If that fills up will I need to move old catalogs to a different cloud?
Also, does the Lightroom feature that syncs to the iPad work inside this 20GB limit? Meaning I can only view up to 20GB of photos from my iPad at a time?

Hi Tyler,
Most versions of Creative Cloud include Lightroom Mobile access. It uses its own storage separate from what is included with Creative Cloud. I think the storage amount is unlimited so long as you maintain your membership. Its storage is for images themselves not a LR catalog. This FAQ might help too: Adobe Lightroom mobile – FAQ

Is use of Lightroom Mobile included with Creative Cloud Student and Teacher Edition?

I am enrolled in the Creative Cloud Student and Teacher Edition. However; Lightroom 5.4 on my mac says I can only use Lightroom mobile for a 30 day trial period. It seems to me my Creative Cloud membership doesn't entitle me to the use of Lightroom Mobile. Is this indeed the case?

However, the photos on the Ipad seem to be just random photos from the collection THEN the rest of the collection is in the correct order after that.

You can trigger the Lr Desktop diagnostig log via LR Desktop preferences -> Lightroom Mobile and when you hold down the alt key you will notice a generate diagnostic log button.
The Lr Mobile app log can be triggered when you open up the settings and long press the to LR Icon a diagnostic log will be generated and attached to your local mail client. While opening the settings could you double check if you are signed-in?

Lost mobile functions after upgrade from Adobe PDF Pack to Creative Cloud

I think mobile functions ar part of Creative Cloud (Student) with respect to Acrobat Pro XI module: e.g. PDF conversion
I have contacted Adobe Chat already and shall now contact this forum as very next step.
However, my Reader App does not support PDF conversion any more since Adobe PDF Pack licence has expired but still a Creative Cloud licence is in effect.

Mobile application of Creative Cloud.

More than slightly irritated that Apple is exclusive to the mobile application of the adobe creative cloud programs. I signed up a few months ago when I purchased a desktop fast enough to run everything sufficiently and have just recently discovered that mobile applications are offered. I was excited at the thought of post processing on the road, however I soon discovered that because I've made my choice on android mobile devices that the mobile market is not open to me to take my creative cloud account on the go.

Looks like I had done all you advised except delete the Adobe Creative Cloud and Application Manager folders under Utilities. I did that and now CC installation is proceeding. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! I spent an hour waiting for someone to get to me on Chat and gave up and was not looking forward to calling Adobe tomorrow.
