Creative cloud menu bar

The creative cloud client on my Mac is in the menubar. But it appears way to often. When I start my Computer and occasionally. The window just appears.
Is there any way to hide cc from the menubar and keep the cc client window from appearing?
This is so super annoying as I don't want to view a list of apps I can install when I am working.
Also, if the cc client would have been a real menu bar applet, it would disappear, once the user clicks on other applets in the menu bar.
I want to hide the cc client completely, so it only shows up, when an update is available.
Any ideas?
I am using OS 10.9.4 and CC 1.71.418

I tried this. Didn't work.
Never mind, I renounce on the cc client entirely. Lightroom sync works, and I will use Dropbox and upcoming iCloud Drive for synced files.  And every 30 days, CC will lunch, so I can sign in and check for updates.

  • Creative Cloud Menu Bar Bug (Mountain Lion)

I see this everytime I use Mission Control when CC's menubar item is running. Could we hope for a fix in the next update?

I'm glad I found this thread, because it helped me decide never to give Adobe another penny for their sloppy, user-hostile software and extortionate business practises. I was about to make the mistake of installing Creative Cloud, but within 10 minutes it became crystal clear that no-one – NO-ONE – at Adobe gives a flying fig for the user experience or even bothers to think about what a customer's first impression of the software might be.
First off, while trying to install After Effects, I was greeted with the insane "Please close AdobeCrashDaemon to continue" message loop. Have you muppets ever tried actually installing your own software?? This problem has been around since CS2, at least. Who operates like this and thinks it's Ok?
Then I discover the issue reported by tzeruk below, where the Creative Cloud menu bar item bounces you back to whichever Desktop space you were in when it was first launched. This remains unfixed for over 3 months. In truth, it's probably been there since the very beginning.
All of this before I've even got to use the actual application I was downloading.
As others have said, once it gets customers signed up to providing a regular income stream, Adobe has a vastly reduced incentive to provide bug fixes, and it was never very good at it in the first place - Adobe is still the only major software company I know of to release a major new version of an Application (Adobe GoLive) without providing any bug fixes or improvements to the previous version.
Adobe has justified the move to Creative Cloud as a way to combat piracy, but the fact is there will always be a certain level of piracy. To avoid mass-market piracy you just have to provide good software at a reasonable price. Adobe has proved themselves institutionally incapable of doing this.

  • Creative cloud  - Menu Bar and Palette's are tiny font.

I just downloaded creative cloud on my lenovo Yoga Pro 2.  The size of my Menu Bar and Palette's are tiny font.  However, Lightroom menu bar and palette's are in a normal size easy to read font.  Can anyone tell me how to change just Photoshop?

For now the solution seems to be using the Scale 200% setting in Edit>Preferences>Experimental Features.
There is also a setting in Edit>Preferences>Interface>UI Font Size that enlarges some of the fonts, although not the menu bar.
After changing either setting, you need to restart photoshop to see the changes.

  • Creative Cloud menu and OSX Full screen mode

I recently uninstalled CS6 and installed the Creative Cloud version of all the Adobe CS apps on my computer the other day.  So far, I like it, and that part if things is working well.
However, there is this annoying behaviour that I would like to fix if I could...
On a Mac it's possible to put an application into full screen mode and then use a swipe gesture to move between fullscreen apps.  Whenever I do that, and then swipe back to the desktop, the Creative Cloud menu insists on dropping down on the main desktop screen... Every. Single. Time.
I then have to click the CC menu bar icon to get rid of it. Again, Every. Single. Time.
Because I use fullscreen gestures a lot, this continual dropdown of the CC menu is starting to get REALLY annoying.
Anyone come across this before? Do you know how to stop it doing it?

Jaredtorres the original issue disucssed in this discussion was addressed on 7/15/13.  You can find the current release notes listed at Creative Cloud app for desktop | Release Notes - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/release-note/cc-release-notes.html.  By default, after updating, the Creative Cloud Desktop application will also be in Window mode.

  • Creative Cloud menu app switches desktop when opened

Every time I open the Creative Cloud menu icon it switches my OSX view to a random other desktop space, usually my fullscreen Evernote.
This is either a strange bug or very silly default behavior. I don't want to have to unpin it from the menu bar just to get it to work.
    Please fix? Thank you.

    Hi David,
This happens in both OSX 10.8 and 10.9 (I'm on 10.9.1).
See this video for what it looks like: https://cloudup.com/cikWwZsFCbB
You don't need any CC apps open besides the menubar app.
It seems to default to the 2nd desktop space, so sometimes it is over a normal space, and sometimes it is over whichever fullscreen app is currently in the 2nd space.
Try switching to another space from the one you opened the CC app in and try clicking the menubar again.
I haven't tried the dragging it to the dock and assigning to all spaces yet, but that shouldn't be necessary to fix this behavior.
Another small bug is that when it switches from a fullscreen space to a normal space, it doesn't know the fullscreen button in the menubar disappeared, so the position of the popup is to the left of the actual menubar icon.
    See this for example: https://cloudup.com/czCAogNkLkg
    Thanks.

  • Opening the Creative Cloud menu in OS X force-switches spaces/full-screen apps in the latest update.

Whenever I want to access the Creative Cloud menu in the menu bar from a full screen app, Creative Cloud forces me to the normal desktop, and then opens the menu.
This is interesting since the latest update to Creative Cloud Desktop fixed a similar bug where switching spaces/full screen apps would automatically open the Creative Cloud menu.

Wow. Just wow. I am increasingly disappointed by Adobe's nonchalance towards the Adobe Creative Cloud application. Previously the app would pop up whenever you switch between desktops or full screen apps. We waited weeks for a fix. Now after the update they think they could get away with it by forcing the menu to only open on Desktop 1. Do they really think we are stupid?
I was skeptical when I heard about Creative Cloud, but I subscribed anyway because I was enticed by the new features Photoshop CC offers. Now I would rather go back to CS6, and the effects would be miniscule.

  • Lightroom not in Creative Cloud Menu

Lightroom isn't showing up as an option to download in the creative cloud menu. I have all system requirements and I know LR5 works fine as my trial of LR ended a few days ago. I now have creative cloud and want to access LR but I can't. Any ideas?

I updated to Muse CC (2014.2) recently, but this morning it appeared in my Creative Cloud menu as needing to be updated again. Is that a minor upgrade with the exact same name?

The update is for few bug fixes and will show 2014.2 in CC as the update includes hotfix : Release notes | Adobe Muse CC
For exact version details you can check about muse from Muse menu options.

  • Creative Cloud menu icon appears on other Mac user accounts

My Mac (OS X 10.7.5) has several user accounts, but I am the only Adobe user, and for security I don't want to log in or do anything with Creative Cloud in other peoples' accounts.
But they see a Creative Cloud menu icon, grayed out and not logged in. Why does this happen and how can I get rid of it?
There is nothing in these users' login items.
    TIA

Thanks for this.  In the Cleaner App, I only saw Application Manager for OS 10.6 (other than my installed CC apps).  I cleaned this one only.  However after restarting, athough the cleaner said the uninstall was successful, I could not find any log file for the Cleaner App.  I still reinstalled the CC Desktop App, but with the same results.
Do I need to uninstall ALL the CC apps?
    Thanks again.

  • Creative cloud menu item disappears (Mac OS 10.8.5)

I cannot get the CC menu item to remain in the menu bar on the top of the display.  It appears briefly at startup, then disappears.  When I search for Adobe Creative Cloud (the App) and launch it, the same thing happens.

  • BeHance Invite Will Not Update in Creative Cloud Menu App

I have the current version of Creative Cloud, and everyday when I power up my Mac, the same BeHance Invite appears and I reject it, but it will not go away. The request is from "Semih Turk" to join his Feedback Circle. I click to reject this invite and the notification in Creative Cloud goes away, but at the next startup, Creative Cloud shows the same notification to join Semih Turk's Feedback Circle. I have rejected this invite at least 10 times, and I am really tired of seeing the same notification everyday. I have changed my Adobe Creative Cloud preferences to stop receiving these invites and have also logged directly into BeHance and rejected it - BUT IT STILL APPEARS AS A CREATIVE CLOUD NOTIFICATION AT EVERY STARTUP.
NOTE: There is no active request from this person when I log into Behance.
Is this a bug in the CC Menu app? Why won't CC successfully update BeHance when I reject this invite?
I am going to report this bug with BeHance as well. Hopefully, BeHance and Creative Cloud will work together to figure out why this invite keeps appearing in Creative Cloud at startup, and why it will not go away.

Has no one still answered this? It has been almost an entire year since this was first reported. Collaboration invitation requests also do not go away, whether accepted or rejected, and keeps popping up regardless of which of my four computers I sign into.

  • Creative Cloud Menu does not show installed Lightroom App

I'm wondering if there is something I can do to fix the problem.  Lightroom does work as long as I dig through menus to find it.

Did you have a stand alone light room ?
You need to uninstall the stand alone Light room from the Computer. Then you can follow these links:
    1. Lightroom Mobile app says I'm running on a trial but I have been using LR 5 for quite some time now on my laptop. Will my trial expire and roll over to my account, or will I have to pay?
2.Re: I´m a CC member (PS and LR). Why does LR say it´s 28 days left on a trial for LR mobile?
3.Why doesn't LR show as installed in CC
    Please refer to:
Lightroom 5 is installed but Creative Cloud doesn't think so… can't update LR
Re: Creative Cloud not showing apps.

  • Lightroom 4 appears in Creative Cloud Menu even though it has been removed

Lightroom 4 shows up under the Creative Cloud applicaiton Apps tab, saying it is "up to date", although I updated to Lightroom 5 months ago.  I don't have the Lightroom 4.0 app on my machine, and I've deleted all Lightroom 4.0 files from my Library folder.
How do I get Creative Cloud to forget about Lightroom 4?
