I have discovered that my question above is a non-question. A user triggered by looking at the below article about Illustrator 2014 cc 17.0.2

He had recently upgraded from wht we now know is 18.0 to 18.1 which is the latest version. He read the above artic
le and supposed that it was a bug fix release for his version - because the v17 ov18 number is not often displayed. It is usually just 2014 CC.
I have asked him to post a bug report about Adobe Illustrator CC 2014.1

I don't think there is any upgrade that you can purchase for CS2. If you need to reinstall CS2 then see the following...

Creative Cloud Packager - Mac

What's up group!
In Creative Cloud Packager 1.5 for Mac, when we click on the 'Change' link to configure the custom settings, and change the 'Adobe Update Manager Behavior' from the default to 'Admin users update via Adobe Update Manager', the option under the help menu in any of the CC applications is grayed out when we log into the local admin account to preform updates. Our users do not have admin rights to their logins.
How do we get this to work?

After playing around a bit more I have found the solution. Open the CCPLauncher that you downloaded and then drag the CCPLauncher.dmg to your hard drive. From your hard drive, modify the permissions with the following in terminal "sudo chmod -R 755 CCPLauncher.app/".

Creative Cloud for Mac (latest version) has a "leak" error

The latest download of the Mac Creative Cloud app has a bug. After receiving the latest CC (today) my system console continues to inform me of a "leak error" at the rate of abot four per minute. For example: "10/6/14 5:18:09.479 PM com.adobe.AdobeCreativeCloud: objc[190]: Object 0x699153a0 of class __NSCFData autoreleased with no pool in place - just leaking - break on objc_autoreleaseNoPool() to debug"
Any ideas on a fix?

Adobe creative cloud for mac os 10.6

Is there an older cloud version for a Mac Os 10.6 System (I only have this available for training) so that I can user at least "After Effects and Premiere" on? If yes were can I download these two packages as a registered Adobe Creative Cloud student - the newest version unfortunately I can not download on my iMac.

you might be able to use cs6 apps with your cc subscription.
but it would be better if you upgraded you os (it's free), Apple - Upgrade your Mac to OS X Mavericks. (though i realize you may not be able to do that).

Can I use Creative Cloud on MAC at work & Win8 at home

I work on a MAC at work but I work on Win8 at home. Can i install Creative Cloud on both from the same account? I am running it successfully on the MAC but I keep getting a Server Error when I try to download it on PC at home.

Make sure you don't have any "old" activations. Recently, I had to reimage my work laptop and it wouldn't activate because I already had 2 active machines. I think you can deactivate machines from the account profile page on the Adobe website. Other issue is make sure that both machines meet the minimum requirements. The site says it is 10.7+.

How to get a fresh start to successfully install creative cloud for mac?

I start with install creative cloud for download trials, however, since I'm in China, the creative cloud somehow automatically defaults and installs the software in Chinese version(for example, there is no way that I can choose the language of premiere, then it already been installed in my mac system in Chinese). I thought that perhaps it's because my account is set in China, then I try to uninstall all the trials, and try to delete creative cloud from my mac ios platform, but because I'm not familiar with the IOS platform, I think I didn't delete the creative cloud properly, after that, even I successfully install the English version of PRE, the creative cloud couldn't work. And I couldn't open AE v12.0 with mac IOS v10.9.4 unless upgrade AE to v12.0.1, and since the creative cloud wouldn't work, the adobe application manager is also not working. When I try to open application manager it shows this(even though the creative cloud is already installed):
And I download creative cloud again from the URL, try to install, after that, creative cloud is running, but it shows still damaged.
So all in all, how could I fix this crisis circle?
How could my IOS system get a fresh start to install the creative cloud, it's there some files that I suppose to delete or what? Please try to give me a clear instruction with this, there are similar problems with people around me as well, I want to help them, too.
And also what is the difference between adobe application manager and creative cloud?

Had my mac crash on me, and its not repairable. Bought a new laptop that is windows 8.1 and now cant get access to my creative cloud ? Dont want to pay for stuff that i cant use on this comp as will not buy a mac never more.

Does Creative Cloud survive Mac "migration" to new computer?

I plan to join Creative Cloud later this month, but also plan to upgrade my Mac Tower to a new one next Spring. I will be using the built in "migration assistant" in the OSX to do a hard drive "brain transplant" from the old Mac Tower to the new one once I purchase it. As I understand it, to make that work properly, I would need to deactivate ALL Creative Cloud programs first. Would I also need to "uninstall" them? Or should I deactivate them on the old machine, but then not transfer them at all to the new machine? Then download them fresh on the new machine? In the past, I have upgraded computers every four or five years, so assumming that the Creative Cloud is the way to go from here on out, this brain transplant needs to go smoothly, without counting as a "third copy" of the Creative Cloud apps. I've done the workflow you describe personally on my Macs. The deactivation is probably not critical but it definitely won't hurt and a good idea. Our licensing technology has improved in that if you attempt to activate on too many computers it now gives the end user an option to de-activate themselves versus having to call into support for assistance. I probably would also recommend uninstalling and then reinstalling on the new system. Reason being the installation of some products looks at the current system configuration when installing, using the migration assistant circumvents this occuring and could potentially cause issues. I'd also make sure your permissions are in order after the migration.

RemoteUpdateManager for Adobe Creative Cloud on Mac OSX

I am trying to get RemoteUpdateManager working on a Macintosh OSX machine with Adobe Creative cloud, so we can remotely update Adobe CC for a user, as his account does not allow him to run updates.
When I run RemotUpdateManager from terminal (or by double clicking on it), it gives me a popup screen saying:

The update did not take place, and no remote Update Manager log file at ~/Library/Logs/.
Any suggestions why this is happening, and how I can run get RemoteUpdateManager working to get Adobe CC updated ?

Adobe Creative Cloud app, Mac OSX, "The Creative Cloud installation is no longer functioning..."

OS: 10.9.4
For about 2+ weeks I've been getting the following message in the Creative Cloud App:
Download Error
The Creative Cloud installation is no longer working
uninstall and download again from http...
I've searched through various discussions and followed every suggestion I had come across, including:
Uninstalled/reinstalled Creative Cloud
Renamed files in the following directories:
~/Library/Applications support/Adobe/OOBE
/Library/Applications support/Adobe/OOBE
~/Library/Applications support/Adobe/AAMUpdater
/Library/Applications support/Adobe/AAMUpdater
Deleted files in above-listed directories.
Checked all network settings including proxy, DNS, etc.
Logged in as myself, I launched Creative Cloud as root (sudo /path/to/app)
Between each step I uninstalled/reinstalled the Creative Cloud app. The logs (in ~/Library/Logs/) don't show any major issues, other than claiming that a preference file can't be read. I tried deleting all preferences related to ACC and the log continued to show the same message.
Any suggestions outside of the standard list of fixes would be most welcome, at this point I'm ready to cancel my CC subscription, I feel Adobe made a big mistake by changing to this format. When it works, it's great, but when it doesn't it causes loss of productivity and immense frustration.

Tried this with no success. Although, your mention of permissions led me to launching Disk Utility and repairing permissions. I then noticed my hard drive had a failing S.M.A.R.T. status. I swapped out the hard drive and restored from Time Machine backup, repaired permissions, uninstalled Creative Cloud, repaired permissions again and removed all files mentioned in my original post. I then reinstalled and: still get the same dang error! This is ridiculously frustrating.

アプリケーション＆サービスのページから、Creative Cloud Connection をダウンロードします。
ダウンロードしようとすると、ダイアログが出るので「アプリケーションの起動」を選択。
すると、Adobe Application Managerが起動するので、そこでCreative Cloud Connection
の「アップデート」を選択。すると、半分インストールした所で
続行するには、次のアプリケーションを終了してください：
- Adobe Creative Cloud Connection
［アップデートをキャンセル］［再試行］
と表示され、ここから先に進みません。（再試行を押しても同じ）
ちなみに、このアプリは立ち上がっておらず、実行中なのはAdobe Application Managerだけです。
もちろん、このアプリを使ってインストール中なので、これを強制終了するとインストールは中断します。
バックグラウンドでCreative Cloud Connectionが起動しているのでしょうか？　それとも、名前は違いますが、同じソフトなのでしょうか？同じなら自分をアップデートするのは難しそうですが……。
アップデートのしかたを教えて下さい。

システム環境設定の

の設定をすべてオフにしてからアップデートすると、最後までできました。
これ常識？
だいたい、勝手に同期していいなんていつ許可したんだろう。
したんでしょうね、たぶん。これからはオフにしておこうっと。
