Creative Cloud stopped working...on Windows 8

Creative Cloud has stopped working on my Windows 8 laptop. As of last week the CC app was working perfectly. Yesterday I opened the app and nothing appeared in the apps area. All I get is a CC app window and the options under the dropdown menu at the right are "Help", "Pin to Notification Area..." and "Quit".  My membership expires in March so that's not the issue. I have uninstalled CC and reinstalled using today's download. NOTHING I have tried from other posts is working. UGH!

    Uninstall CC desktop from Control Panel.
    Please navigate to C/Program Files(X86)/Common Files/ Adobe/OOBE and rename it to OOBE.old.
    Run the cleaner tool and try installing again: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html.

  • Check my billing information? It's all right so why will Creative Cloud stop working?

    I keep getting a pop up everytime I open Photoshop or Illustrator or any other of my Creative Cloud applications that says I need to check my billing information because there is an issue with the last payment and that Creative Cloud will stop working if it is not addressed. Well I looked online and everything on the credit card information looks fine so then I clicked edit payment info and it says "Thanks! We received your payment." Well if you have then why does it still keep counting down the days until it shuts off? If everything on the credit card info looks fine why did the payment not go through?

    I did check the payment portal, Adobe could not obtain payment from your Bank, it was tried on December 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th. of 2013.
    Please contact with the bank to check the error, once that is done, do contact Adobe at http://adobe.ly/yxj0t6 to regularize the subscription after payment update.

    The specs say works with XP or Windows 7.  Does this mean they do NOT work with Vista?

  • My laptop install of Creative Cloud stops working when Internet drops

    how do I use this product without the Internet connectivity? I am about to spend two weeks in the middle of nowhere with no Internet connection and I need to be able to edit my photos and videos and need Creative Suite to actually work instead of prompting me to log in and not allow any of the tools to work. I need this thing to function properly without the Internet...ideas?

    I received an email earlier, asking me to reinstall the application manager. I thought it was from support but apparently it was sent to many users. After that discussion and the reinstallation, I signed back in again with the reinstalled application manager. Jeff told me that he sees in the logs that I logged in again last night May 13th, 2013.
    1)  I am online now. I will reboot and see if the error returns. After I had logged in last night, the CC tools acted differently, like they did when I first installed them.
    2)  The message I received from the system was either a "disconnected from the Internet" or a request to log in with my Adobe user/email and password.
    3) I am going to be offline for approximately 7, maybe 8 days. I'll be on a cruise ship in the middle of the caribbean and there is limited connectivity at .55 cents per minute so I'll only get online when absolutely necessary. And connections from the ship are closer to dial-up speeds than the broadband I am accustomed to here at home and at work.
    4) the email address to which this is registered is [removed]

  • Premier Pro downld from Creative Cloud Stopped Working - HELP!

    I've been using it regularly with no issues and it was working fine today until suddenly it just crashed, then it was difficult to open but starting working again, then it seemed to work EXCEPT that the playback window was missing any preview and wouild not play back and the entire thing crashed when I tried rendering - it has since failed to open at all.
    I looked in Computer Management unter Event Viewer//Windows Logs/Applications and found the following Application Error:
    Faulting application name: Adobe Premiere Pro.exe, version: 7.2.2.33, time stamp: 0x532c3999
    Faulting module name: GPUFoundation.dll, version: 7.2.2.33, time stamp: 0x532c367b
    Exception code: 0xc0000005
    What can I do to get this up and running again????

    What does the detailed crash report say?
    And have you updated your video card drivers from the GPU maker's website? (most crashes on launch are due to bugs in out of date video card drivers)

    This would increase installing speed since all those needed files would be available from Local Area Network, which is faster and my broadband and it also would allow hard drive to focus on installing files instead of current simulataneous reading and writing to same hard drive.

  • Creative Cloud stops after 10 sec

    Hi,
    I like to update Lightroom and Photoshop, so I start Creative Cloud and after ± 10 seconds Creative Cloud stops without any message whatsoever.
    So I tried to uninstall Creative Cloud, but the uninstaller progress bar is standing still even after 30 minutes. The process manager showed the uninstaller was hanging
    So I repaired the filesystem permissions, an still the uninstaller was hanging
    So I ran the CC Cleaner Tool only for Creative Cloud removal
    After that I reinstalled a fresh Application Manager, which downloaded and installed the new Creative Cloud
    But the problem is still not solved and Creative Cloud still shuts down (crashes) after ± 10 seconds.
    Please what can I do? during my trial perod I had no problem whatsoever, but sinds I start paying this is happening.
    Specs:
    Creative Cloud subsription
    MAC OSX 10.9.4

    The install of prem. Pro,,,it did install but no desktop icon and none of the icons in cloud work..I was able to go into C drive then into the prem.pro folder,found the icon for the application and that opened the program..It ran ok..I have found no way to reinstall anything from cloud without first removing said program.Thats what I am doing now,uninstalling prem.pro and cloud in hopes of a clean install will fix the issues.Not going to hold my breath tho as I really don't think they have fixed the bug yet.
    On the plus side LightRoom did install with a working icon.
    PS cc 2014 did not put out a startup icon but as with prem.pro was able to open by going into the file folder.
    I am running Win8 64 bit with a 6 core cpu
    Modern Tech.....Isn't great when it works...But when it doesn't...Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr      LOL
    Will post the results of reinstall.
    Note....CLOUD STILL claims Pre Pro is there..Guess will have to remove cloud also and reload it before I can get anywhere.  grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

    I can't open my Itunes program in my laptop computer with windows 8. the message is "Itunes has stopped working. A problem causess the program to stop working properly. windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available". I reboot  the machine, Uninstall and re install the  Itune program, stilll the same message pops up.

    The first thing to try is System Restore to take you back to a point in time when it did work. If that is not successful, create a new user on the computer. log in with that and see if ID will start. This will tell us if the problem is in the system/program or the user account.
    If it works in a new user account, see Replace Your Preferences and in addition to replacing the prefs, empty the InDesign Recovery folder that will be in the same location and the InDesign SavedData file.

    I had this exact same problem.  I found this fix and it worked for me. 
    Step 1:
    Browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support and copy the filen named QTMovieWin.dll. 
    Step 2:
    Browse and past that file into C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes.
    Hope this helps you.  I wish I could remember where I saw this originally so I could thank them.
