Creative Cloud - Sync stuck in loop

Does anybody know how to remedy this?
I've logged out and logged in to both computers with CC installed. On my MacBook Pro, there's no issue but on my Windows 7 machine, this is all CC does - "Syncing files 12 of 17". Or it starts with 16/17. It's always one of the two and it just does that infinitely. It does it incredibly fast, appearing like a flash. Help/advice?? Thanks!

  • Creative Cloud is Stuck on the InDesign Install

    I am running Creative Cloud. During the install of InDesign the CC app asked me to shut down a copy of Adobe Acrobat. I shut Acrobat down but Creative Cloud is stuck on the InDesign install. I shut down CC and restarted it but it is still stuck. Is there a way to stop the CC install of InDesign?

  • Creative Cloud syncing turns itself off

    I have noticed that Creative Cloud syncing turns itself off whenever I open InDesign. I suspect that the link file ID creates is responsible for this. It is a new development and used to work fine until a few days ago.
    Does anyone else have a similar experience?

    I too recently started having this problem. I thought by uninstalling everything and then re-installing would solve the problem but now I cant get the CC app to run and install the individual products that I need for work. My CC icon appears for a brief moment like yours and then disappears.
    Have you found a solution to this by any chance?

  • Creative Cloud is stuck in "Updating File Sync ..." mode

    Okay, since last night on both of my computers (Windows 8 PC & MacBook Pro) creative cloud seems to be stuck in an Updating File Sync mode that shows like this:
    Is it normal to take so much time to actually update file sync? Or there is something wrong?

  • Launching Creative Cloud Desktop shows a looping notification about add-ons (OSX)

    Hi,
    Since some days after launching Creative Cloud Desktop (eg. at bootup) I get a looping notification saying
    "to install or remove Adobe add-ons it's necessary to have administrative rights" (shown in Italian here)
    This notification goes away after 5 seconds as OSX standard and comes back in loop for 5-6 times then stops.
    If I click on the notification I'm asked administrator password, but the problem is not solved.    
    I've already tried to re-install CC Desktop, repair disk permissions without success.
    This is not started with the new CC2014 release but was happening a few days before as well.
    Any help? Logfiles?

  • Creative cloud sync - Stops working until update.

    I am about the closest thing to an IT administrator we have at a  small newspaper that has recently transitioned to Creative Cloud for our production and file sync. While much of our experience has been good we have had some weird problems that make it fairly hard to rely on the file syncing feature of CC. Primarily, recently adobe issued an update to Creative Cloud (Which they do a lot!) that required us to update before it would work again. The notification for this update came in as an icon blip in the menu bar on our mac systems and the system tray (which hides most icons) on the Windows system. As a result only one of our artist updated right away, and the rest ignored/didn't see it. The problem was file syncing stopped working until the clients updated. The end result was that people's artwork wasn't syncing and about a whole days worth of work was delayed until someone figured out that things were breaking and alerted me. So my complaint/suggestion is this:
    If you issue an update:
    Allow the old versions to keep working until the update is installed.
    If the update is important enough to require updating, notify at least the CC Team Administrators in an obvious way (email is a great way, since you already don't mind emailing us about other stuff)
    Also why you are at it if you could ad a "Sync Now" button that would be appreciated.
    It is a little frustrating to be chewed out over something  that you were not aware of over the weekend. Especially since CC is marketed as the backbone of the Adobe system. I know that many of our artist should have paid attention to the icons, but their job is to design their work and get on with it not to be system administrators. They can't all be verifying updates and checking if CC is working all the time. Especially since a traditional server set up wouldn't have this issue (though the cost of setting it up is obnoxious).
    To the community: Have any of you experienced and issue like this before? If so how is the best way to solve this issue in the future. Do I just need to insist that everyone always checks for updates? The problem is compounded by the fact that I am part-time/freelance and thus can't babysit many of our artist.

    You have to provide system info and other details like what program(s) you actually mean. There are no technical reasons that should affect the apps just by disconnecting your computer...

  • Why is Creative Cloud sync causing photoshop touch on iPad to force close?

    Sometime on March 28, 2014, having the sync function on or attempting to sync files from your Photoshop touch app to the creative cloud causes force closing. Within 4 to 5 seconds of being in the organizer view the app simply shuts down. As long as you are off-line or you have the sync capability turned off the app works fine.
    Obviously this is a major problem because your creative cloud membership doesn't really do anything for you. Rebooting the iPad does not fix the sync/crashing issue. Downloading the Photoshop touch app on a different iPad results in the same problem.
    Is anyone at Adobe who is responsible for the functioning of the Photoshop touch app and the creative cloud aware of this issue? Before this began on the 28th of March, I had never encountered a problem like this. A solution to this problem would be greatly appreciated. Nothing that I have tried from my end changes the current problem. Please, please, help!

    I FIXED IT!!!
    So it seems that at least my issue may have been a RAM memory problem. And no amount of restarting was fixing it...
    Now, this may sound shady, yet it did it for me so I thought I'd share. There are a couple of free apps that "reallocates" the RAM in your iPad or iPhone. I tried one that didn't seem to fix the issue. Then I tried another and TA-DA! Not only PS Touch didn't crash, but it synced and remained stable. Beautifully!
    Below is the link for the free app I used. You can use this or do a search for a similar RAM allocator. Once the app is downloaded, get it to reallocate your device's RAM a couple of times, it's pretty self-explanatory. Then restart PS touch.

  • Moving creative cloud sync files on local drive

    Upon the latest update to the Creative Cloud app, all my sync files were moved locally from my secondary (data) hard drive to my primary boot drive, without notification or permission. 
    Now the software won't move them back, even though I reset the default file location back to where I want them.
    How can I restore my files back to where they where without messing up all the sync data with the cloud?

    We are aware of this issue. Can you open the Creative Cloud Application and click on Assets from the top menu then files and finally click on open Folder. This will take you to the location of your files.
    You may change the location of the Creative Cloud files folder to the location you had before from Preferences>Files>Folder Location

  • Creative Cloud Sync folder placed inside Drop Box folder

    Would there be any real issues with placing my creative cloud folder inside of my dropbox?
    I know i would be duplicating uploading of files but dropbox offers nice features and so does adobe creative cloud storage.  So I want best of both worlds.  Does anyone foresee any major issues with this?

  • Adobe Creative Cloud syncing/updating/installing problems

    Hello Forum,
    I am experiencing problems with the Adobe Creative Cloud application. It is telling me that 13 Adobe applications that I have deleted from my hard drive using the included uninstall apps are, right now, "Up to Date" on my hard drive. Additionally, when I try to re-install one of these deleted yet "Up to Date" applications (Acrobat Pro XI), I cannot because it's listed as "Up to Date."
    Does anyone know why the Cloud app is not updating itself since my uninstalls? Or what is lingering on my system that may be confusing it? If it's the latter, is there a universal uninstall app for all Adobe application files on one's hard drive? I figure if I can do that, I can start over fresh. I already used the Creative Cloud's own uninstall app to delete it and re-install it, though that didn't change the information it's giving me.

  • Creative cloud is stuck on an old trial acc i no longer have access to. how do i switch upon opening client?

    i have tried uninstalling the program and redownloading it but it is still linked to a trial account i used a long time ago, its saying its sending me confirmation emails to that account when the program opens up but i no longer use or have access to that email. i am trying an account now with my university details and want to use this account to upgrade and purchase but im worried it will still be linked to the old account, thus locking me out of the program.

    I fear it's a challenge for Adobe's Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool. Sometimes - for whatever reasons - CC doesn't "want" to work. In this case you should CC completely delete and reinstall by help of Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool. (A try to uninstall by own resources is not enough!)

The tool removes installation records for prerelease installations of Creative Cloud or Creative Suite applications. It does not affect existing installations of previous versions of Creative Cloud or Creative Suite applications.
