Creative Cloud thinks it's a trial!?

Have had Creative Cloud for months, suddenly it thinks it's a trial and refuses to believe i have an active account (even though it says my account is active and does not run out for ages)
I'm on a mac on OSX, everything worked fine until today. Spent 6hrs trying to fix it and been hung up on TWICE by support who do not know how to help.
Please HELP!
Things i've tried -
- Fonts, removing fonts
- checking to see if i have adobe host addresses (i do not)
- uninstalling everything
- running the Creative Cloud cleaner
nothing works... i'm just in a trial which says it'll expire in 30 days still

JUST FIXED IT!
Hope this helps, I'm going to pop it in a few threads just in case. (For Mac OSX)
I created a new OSX user profile (admin) and booted that up. Loaded up Illustrator (which said it was a Trial still) and authenticated it again. This time it didin't ask for the serial and told me my Creative Cloud sub was fine!
Booted up the old user profile and it worked there too.
Really hope this helps other people with this problem on Mac.

  • Full Creative Cloud membership apps start as trials?

I have a new, fully-paid Creative Cloud membership, converted from a prior Creative Cloud month-to-month single app membership.
And I've built a new box, exclusively for Creative Cloud apps and primarily video processing using Premier Pro CC.
Using Adobe Application Manager ( Adobe - Adobe Application Manager : For Windows : Adobe Application Manager -- which installs as Creative Cloud ) I've consolidated my CS single-use apps on two other computers and have installed Premier Pro CC on the new, Creative Cloud-only box.
So, after Premier Pro CC is installed, the Creative Cloud front end offers "Begin Trial" as the only way to start Premier Pro.
What gives? If I have a fully-paid CC membership, why am I being offered a "Trial" and am I going to be asked to "Buy" Premiere Pro CC when the trial's over?
    Very confusing...

I'm having the same problem. Subscribed to Creative Cloud. All the apps showing as 'Try' rather than the 'Download' buttons that apepar on a colleagues machine (who subscribed a few months ago). When I load the trial of Indesign, if I select 'licence software' - no space to put Adobe ID, only serial number which I don't have with the Creative Cloud membership.
Tried everything that has been suggested. Updated everything in Adobe App' Manager. Gone back to open Indesign - still just has boxes for serial number.
Please sort this out Adobe. I've wasted half a day trying to install on my machine and still have the rest of the studio to do.

I have an Creative Cloud accound but photoshop keeps gooing back to the trail mode. I have tried the help provided bij Adobe but this does not work ( Creative Cloud applications unexpectedly revert to trial mode | CS6, CCM ). There should be an deactivate option in the help section but this is nowhere to be found. Hope there is an other sallution or maybe i should just delete and reinstall everything. But then i need a way to recover my action's.

in cc apps there is no deactivate option.  that's been changed to a 'sign out' option.

  • The files for after effects are not ther but still creative cloud thinks its installed

My Macs Creative Cloud thinks that I have After Effects CC installed but when i search my mac no files are there :/ help me get a sollution as to how to fix this.

    Hello,
as strange as it may seem I fear it's a challenge for Adobe's Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool.
Sometimes - for whatever reasons - CC doesn't "want" to work. In this case you should CC completely delete and reinstall by help of Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool. (A try to uninstall by own resources is not enough!)
I quote: ... helps resolve installation problems for Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Creative Suite (CS3-CS6) applications. The tool removes installation records for prerelease installations of Creative Cloud or Creative Suite applications. It does not affect existing installations of previous versions of Creative Cloud or Creative Suite applications.
Please use: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html  and follow the prescribed sequence of operations
Sometimes the "opm.db file" is the culprit. In this case you should delete it.
If necessary and for further questions and if "open" please use chat, I had the best experiences.

  • I have a Adobe Creative Cloud account, But I have trial versions of Adobe products? Why?

I have a Adobe Creative Cloud account, But I have trial versions of Adobe products? Why?

I've written on this forum about my problem with this, too. Today, being the first of the month (I suppose) evreything comes up saying it is the trial version again. I hit continue trial, but today Acrobat comes back everytime it gets launched asking the same frustrating question. The only advice I was given was to uninstall and reinstall. I've done that more times than I can count since I signed up for Creative Cloud months ago. I also own TS4, and I've wondered if there is some interaction problem there - especially with Acrobat, as it TS4 also comes with that "module" as well as Bridge, Application Manager, etc.
I *really* wish they would get the bugs out of this whole Creative Cloud licensing thing...

  • Trial version of AcrobatXI uninstalled, Creative Cloud thinks it installed?

How can I install Acrobat XI when Creative Cloud says it is up to date and already installed?
I uninstalled it prior to purchasing and installing Creative Cloud on the recommendation of customer service.
CC will not let me install Acrobat now?

That is interesting.  After a couple of tries deactivating and uninstalling then reinstalling Creative Cloud with no success, I tried the following:
I uninstalled Creative Cloud and any Adobe remnants.  I logged out of my account, shut down the computer and restarted logging on to the Adobe website.  I tried to download the trial of Acrobat XI, it wouldn't let me install in the applications folder but would let me install it on my main computer folder.  I installed it, the app showed up in the Applications folder I then logged into my Adobe account and  installed Creative Cloud.  It all worked.  That was the only way I could get the Acrobat XI application on the computer.
Adobe XI shows installed and up to date and it allowed me to install Light Box and other Adobe apps as well.  Adobe XI when opened makes no reference to a "trial version".  It works like it is supposed to and I'm hoping it continues.  5 days and all is well so far.

  • Lightroom is not installed but Creative Cloud thinks it is!

I have completely uninstalled the entire Creative Cloud set of products including Lightroom 4.3 and Lightroom 5 (both 64-bit).  The icons changed to generic icons, indicating that the application link was broken, due to the fact that the product was no longer installed.
When I go to Adobe's CC website to try and download Lightroom 5 after signing in, my web browser asks which application I want to use to open the download link.  I choose the Creative Cloud application but nothing updates in CC Desktop.  I am on Windows 7 64-bit SP1.
I do not know why Creative Cloud Desktop still thinks those apps are installed and does not give me the button to install it.  Instead it shows "up-to-date".
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
P.S.  I also checked with the Adobe Cleaner Tool to make sure no CC apps were installed.

Lehestro (and anyone else having this problem on a Mac), I had this same problem tonight and solved it. I got a new hard drive for my Mac Pro today and did a clean install of Mavericks on it. When I installed Adobe Creative Cloud for the first time, it thought I alfeady had Lightroom installed and "Up to date" for some reason even though I hadn't installed anything but the Creative Cloud Desktop. It's possibly because it detected the application on my old hard drive, which I had mounted to transfer files to the new drive.
Anyway, I first tried installing the Lightroom trial application because I read that Cretive Cloud would update it to stop asking for a serial number. I installed the trial, then moved all of my relevant Lightroom settings over from the old hard drive to the new one so I could keep all my settings. I got most of these files from the various preferences files inside "~/Library/Preferences" (including all files and folders that start with "Adobe" as well as "com.Adobe" and "~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom/". I believe that's where all the files I transferred were. And of course I copied my Lightroom catalog, backups, and previews files to my user folder as well (just do a Google search for "moving lightroom files to new computer" and you'll see what files to move). I used the same directory structure on my new hard drive so there would be minimal confusin when moving all my files over.
While that did keep all of my settings quite nicely (and I mean everything, including camera calebration defaults that I had changed and things like that), it still asked me for a serial number.
What eventually worked was simple. I dragged the "Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.app" icon out of my Applications folder and into the trash. I then logged out of Creative Cloud, shut down my computer, unmounted the old hard drive, rebooted, and logged back into CC. Once I did that, Lightroom wasn't listed in my installed apps anymore, and became available as a new download. I downloaded and installed it from CC, and voila! Now it launches without asking for a serial number, and it still kept all my settings that I dragged over from the old hard drive. The only thing I had to do was go to the Plugins Manager and re-install my Picasa and SmugMug plugins. When I did that, it still even still retained their settings and had all the images in the galleries I had built on and published via my old system.
