Lboger83 do you receive any specific error messages when downloading the Creative Cloud applications?  Please see Error downloading Creative Cloud applications - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/error-downloading-cc-apps.html for information on how to resolve download errors.

We officially support Mountain Lion, so that shouldn’t be the issue. Can you please do the following: Please place a blank file named asu.trace in $HOME/Library/Logs folderLaunch Adobe Application Manager and initiate the download/install of any application that you expect to failAfter the failure, send us the following files as e-mail attachments (abatra AT adobe.com):
    $HOME/Library/Logs/PDApp.log$HOME/Library/Logs/AdobeDownload/DLM.log$HOME/Library/Logs/Ado beDownload/DLM_Native.log

  • Creative Cloud will only "run" when started in "Run as Administrator"

For some reason, sometime in the past month Creative Cloud will not give me access when started from any of the normal methods; the Task bar Shortcut, the Start Menu shortcut, or even directly from double clicking on "Creative Cloud.exe." It starts in the background but does not appear on the monitor. This is confirmed with Task Manager. I have found that if I use Task Manager to "End Task," I can start the program (from any of the above methods) by choosing "Run as Administrator" and it appears on the monitor and I have complete access.
Today, I updated to the newest version and the situation remains the same (except, that before I did not have to "end Task" in Task Manager prior to "Run as Administrator.)
What is causing this and how do I fix it?

I tried every solution I found online suggesting deletion of apps, fresh installs, deletion of folders, permission changes, etc. I finally had an hour long chat session with an Adobe tech who had me do much of the same thing again, only to have the issue remain.
Here was the end solution which worked for me:
    1. Create a new Admin account
    2. Log out of your computer, and then back in under the new admin account
    3. use the Creative Cloud uninstaller app to uninstall CC desktop. (Doing this prompted an alert message telling me I couldn't do this because some CC apps required it. So, I deleted the 2 CC apps I had installed, Lightroom and Photoshop)
    4. After the uninstall completes, install a new copy of CC desktop. (Once I did this, it opened and ran correctly.)
    5. Log out and log back in under your usual account.
    6. If CC desktop doesn't start on its own, double click the application itself to start up.
After completing step #6, CC desktop started up on its own. I re-downloaded Photoshop and Lightroom through CC and all is working normally so far.

  • What do you do when the creative cloud will not update?

Creative cloud will not update on my Mac.. therefore I cannot use InDesign. How can I get the Creative Cloud to update? I have tried un-installing and re-installing 3 different times now. Thank you.

Not sure.  I am not having any problems opening files in current version 8.0 except for files that have been created/modified in current version 8.2 of course. That is why I need to update.
I've tried uninstalling 8.0 version before updating and a direct download of installer/updater of 8.2... still no luck.

Please check if the Creative Cloud Connection is Active or Not?
    How large are the files?
If you can find the logs at the following places, and paste them here, it would be good.
Here's where to find the log:
    Windows - c:\users\<yourusername>\AppData\Roaming\CloudSync\CloudSync-2013-05-0 9.log
    Mac - /Users/<yourusername>/Library/Application Data/CloudSync/CloudSync-2013-05-09.log

  • Adobe Creative Cloud will not uninstall

I bought a new macbook last week, so I used the Migration Assistant to transfer all my stuff from my old macbook to my new one.
Now, Adobe Creative Cloud doesn't work and neither does Photoshop CC. (Photoshop CC is a free trial)
    1. Everytime I turn on my computer or click Adobe Creative Cloud in my applications folder, it always says "Adobe Cloud is needed to resolve this problem. However, it is missing or damaged."
    2. I try downloading it again, but it repeats the message above.
    3. I try to uninstall it, but it says "Uninstallation of Creative Cloud completed with errors." It doesn not uninstall.
I don't know what to do, I thought this was fun at first, but now I just want to get rid of it. I really want to just put everything in the trash bin, but I don't think it's recommended.
Also, I don't have any back ups of my computer.
    thanks

Mac migration (or Time Machine) does not always work with Cloud programs
Uninstall... run the Cleaner... Restart your computer... Reinstall
    -http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/install-apps.html (and uninstall)
-using the cleaner after uninstalling and before reinstalling will usually help

  • InDesign 6 Creative Cloud will not allow me to type some words

I am on an iMac, running Mountain Lion and Creative Cloud.  Our corporate font is Montreal, when I am using InDesign I can't type the word "office" as soon as I type the "i" the second f and the i turn into an "x".  I can type off and ice, just not together.  Another word is flawless, it turns into lawless.  I have checked the autocorrect and the dictionary and see nothing out of place, there are no hidden characters and I have tried in various document.  If I change the font all is well.  I do not have this issue in Illustrator or Photoshop.  Not sure what else I can check, suggestions?

    Hi there
I would try posing this in the general InDesign forum - http://forums.adobe.com/community/indesign
The folks over there are InDesign experts who will be able to comprehensively address your issue.
    Good luck!

  • Creative cloud will not install on my computer - why?

I download the installer, it begins to initialize and then the dialog window just disappears.

Which installer did you download the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop Application or one of the large download archives to install Photoshop directly on a PC or the other archive for the Mac.
If you downloaded the Creative Desktop Application you install that and open the creative cloud application.  From it you can install Creative Cloud applications.  The Applications are large and it will take quite some time to download and install a product like Photoshop CC 2014.
If you downloaded the Windows PC archive "Photoshop_15_LS20_win64.7z" you can use 7zip to extract the files and run set-up from the extracted  "Adobe CC 2014" folder.
The Mac archive "Photoshop_15_LS20.dmg" is used to install Photoshop CC 2014 on the Mac.  Once you have it installed  use Photoshop cc 2014 menu Help>Updates to install the update for it.

  • My creative cloud will not download apps

I just purchased the cloud and am desperately trying to download the necessary apps to do work on.  The cloud seems to be frozen.

    Good Morning Jeff.
    In answer to your questions:
I am receiving no specific error messages.
    I am using iMac 2.8ghz core i7 on OS X Yosemite 10.10.1
One thing bothers me, though - when I go into the Adobe Creative Cloud App in my Applications folder it says both the Creative Cloud and Uninstall Creative Cloud are aliases. Would this be right? I seem to be able to download fonts, access the Community and Assets on my desktop window.
Still, today, I can access no apps. I can reach the apps area on the CC website but they only allow me to download trial versions of the programs i want to use. I have attempted to download a few times and I have let it run for over 5 hours. I use a modem with ADSL connection. From the CC website download calculations this is WAY to long to wait.
I want complete access to full programs. Is this not what I have paid for?! I am a sole trader design studio. Give me some help here. please. If this is NOT what I have paid for, please let me know what I need to do.
