Creative Cloud - Your application install seems to be damaged, Please reinstall the application.

I have purchased a year subscription to Creative Cloud. I am able to successfully download and open Creative Cloud and download an app. When I try to open the downloaded app, a message appears that says "Your application install seems to be damaged, Please reinstall the application." Upon uninstalling AND reinstalling the app, the same message appears. It's not just one app in the Creative Cloud, it is ALL of them that this happens to.
I am using OS X 10.9.4
Please, please help!

  • "Your application install seems to be damaged, Please reinstall the application."

So I have been trying to contact chat support for the past hour and no answer. I spoke to them earlier about my Creative Cloud app having froze and they talked me through how to solve this issue. However, now when I try to open any of my downloaded apps such as Photoshop or InDesign, it gives me these messages:
"Your application install seems to be damaged, Please reinstall the application."
"Adobe Application Manager, required to run your product, is missing or damaged.
Please download a new copy of Adobe Application Manager from
    http://www.adobe.com/go/applicationmanager_uk."
I have tried re-installing all the apps & downloading a new copy of adobe application manager, but still there's no change. I currently am working with an OS X 10.9.5
    Thanks!

    Natacha,
The error message  "Adobe creative cloud is needed to resolve this problem. However, it is missing or damaged. Please download and install a new copy of the Creative Cloud from http://www.adobe.com/go/adobecreativecloudapp" means that the installation of the Creative Cloud Application was not successful. I would recommend uninstalling the application, manually removing the folders mentioned below and trying  the installation procedure again.
    WINDOWS ::  C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE & C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\AdobeApplicationManager .
    MAC : /Library/ApplicationSupport/Adobe/OOBE & /Library/ApplicationSupport/Adobe/AdobeApplicationManager.
Please let us know if this works for you.
    Regards,
    Pattie

  • "Your application install seems to be damaged, Please reinstall the application." What do I do?

I have a full Creative Cloud account. Every time I open any application, I get the message: "Your application install seems to be damaged, Please reinstall the application."
I have uninstalled all of the applications including the CC Manager, and reinstalled and the problem persists.
One thing to note may be that I had another problem and someone at Adobe had me delete cache files and some other files. Not sure if that matters but thought I'd mention it. I never had this message before that. But before that, I could not download or update any files.

  • Please reinstall the application

After having the computer video card replaced, I now get the following for both InDesign CS6 and Illustrator CS6. "Your application install seems to be damaged, Please reinstall the application." How do I go about reinstalling these applications?

    delete your indesign.
    run the cleaner: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html
    then reinstall and activate.
if you've already activated twice, you'll need to reset your activation count via adobe support:  http://www.adobe.com/support/chat/ivrchat.html

Since I joined creative cloud, I have not been able to sync. Why the difference? Worked good during initial trial.
Also I had installed the Mosaic app for ipad before Lightroom mobile came out and I cannot seem to get rid of it. How can I get mosaic out? I have cancelled, I have deleted, I have looked through the files for visible remnants.

The sync count is 60 and static. The total number synced so far is 500+. None have been synced from the ipad except for corrections made there on those already synced.
I have deleted the Mosaic app from all machines and checked the library folder and have contacted the Mosaic tech support and they have discontinued my subscription. I still get mosaic messages on initiating Lightroom and sometimes at closing.
I have not tried to sync fewer yet, but some catalogs that I have tried are smaller numbers. Initially, it did well on good connections. Nothing works on my home connections over satellite.

  • Creative Cloud Subscription - Application & AAM Updates - What's manual & What's not?

This may seem a silly question, but I'm finding updating apps more complex now that I have Creative Cloud membership -- or at least it seems more complex.
    Questions
The question is, what updates come through AAM and what updates must I go to adobe.com, download, and install outside of AAM?
It seems that if I install outside AAM, AAM could be lost in a state of not knowning what Creative Cloud apps I install (getting out of sync showing "Install" when something already is "Installed").
Then there are security updates (like the current certificate issue for Windows users) -- are these handled by updates coming through AAM or do I go to the website, download, and install.
And what about AAM itself? Do I manually (go to adobe.com, download, then install) install updates for it? Or does it automatically udpate?
Add to this a perceived need to "uninstall" apps before updating (or maybe that's not necessary??) and its quite unclear what "I" take care of updating and what "AAM" automatically updates.
    AAM Feature Suggestions
It may be helpful to consider a couple features for AAM that might help clarify things.
Add the version # of each "Installed" item to the list of applications.
Add an "update" link (button) to the right of each "Installed" item if a newer version exists. The link would manually trigger updates for those apps that don't do an "automatic" AAM update by taking you through the proper paths to keep AAM in sync with what's installed (assuming here we're talking only of Creative Cloud apps).
These last features are possible solutions for quirks I've noted so far...
Give users the opportunity to set the install path before the first install
When you first install AAM, it doesn't allow you to set the desired install path for the very first install.  Which means that first application is always going to install in the default location. You can only set the preference after that first app.
So in order to put that app where you want it you'll need to uninstall it then reinstall it (I think?), when it could have been installed in your desired location if you had a chance to set that before that first install.
    Remember the install path preference
The AAM also seems to "forget" the desired path. When you go to AAM sometime after having installed apps, it seems to lose that preference -- the value in the dropdown is empty. So, each time I enter it again -- just in case I want to install another app.
Overall I like the products in the Cloud. But need some clarity so I can avoid update pitfalls.
Thanks to anyone who can shed some light on the updating processes!
    -Bonnie

Bonnie thank you for the feedback.  Feel free to also document your feedback at https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform.
As for your initial question I would recommend you choose Help>Updates from one of your point product installations.  This will trigger the update portion of the Adobe Application Manager which will not only update AAM but also any applicable updates to your software.

  • Does not complete processing of "Home" of the Creative Cloud desktop application

Someone know the way to fix the following issue?
After installed some Creative Cloud Software, I had uninstalled Adobe application manager manually and installed Creative Cloud desktop application manually.  because automatic upgrade of creative cloud desktop application from adobe application manager does not work.
The creative cloud desktop application setup had been completed successfully.  but,  seems that  it does not complete processing of displaying the history if I chose "Home".   The progress Icon will stay in continuity.  And any contents does not show on it.
    Regards,

I'm posting this in a few threads to try to catch everyone having the problem.
The good news is that I found a way to fix this.
The bad news is that it involves uninstalling everything.  (Note that reinstalling over the old installs won't cover it, I'd tried that one once too. You'll have to fully uninstall each program before redownloading/reinstalling.)
I spent many hours with tech support yesterday running through options unsuccessfully, and can very thoroughly assure you that uninstalling the desktop app, renaming any number of folders, and new user accounts all will not help you.  From doing a lot of research on various similar problems, it appears that it's possible for this to spontaneously resolve within a couple of hours.  If it doesn't, though, you're stuck with fixing it yourself.
The best theory I found was that it's caused by updating or installing a program without doing it through CC.  If you've downloaded an installer and run that or clicked "Check for updates" in the help menu inside one of the other apps, this is you.  Other people have noted that if you know which app you did this with, you can uninstall that one to fix it.  If you have no idea, the simplest path is to just uninstall everything.  You can try doing things one at a time, but you'll need to reboot every time the uninstaller tell you to do so and then see if it's fixed.  (Personally, I got sick of that by the second time through.)  I do remember clicking "Check for updates" right around the time this started for me, but I don't know which program it was in, just that I knew it would trigger the updates I knew existed but CC wasn't acknowledging.
I will also note that once I had everything uninstalled, I ran the Cleaner Tool and did a "Clean All". If you're going to or need to do that, make sure you've backed up all of your preferences, customizations, plugins, and so forth as needed.

  • Remove Creative Cloud Desktop Application

    What's up Group!
Can someone please tell us how we might go about removing the Creative Cloud Desktop Application?
It simply does not work.Tells us everything is up to date when its not.
We get better results using the Help > Updates menu in each program. The old Adobe Application Manager (7.0.0427) works like a charm!
We didn't even know there was an Indesign 8.0.2 update and a 9.1 update until we accidentally used the menu option.
    Please help!

The CC Desktop Application is for some purposes and installation actually still in tandem with the old AAM ! Some stuff seems not to have been ironed out, yet. But I have the impression it's getting better by the week. Nevertheless, in quite a few situation where the status of some applications seems to have gone cuckoo, it might be wise to 'kick' some serious installation settings into the trash.
Read the section about removing (or renaming, if you want to retain a backup copy) the "OOBE" folder and files within. These files keep track of all installations and their whereabouts on your system. They will be recreated upon 'freshly' logging in again. Oh wait, before you rush off to do this trick: quit all Adobe applications, log-out your CC account, and then go and give it a try: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1002729
Most Adobe Helpdesk staff would kindly tell you to first completely de-install all Adobe applications, run the Adobe Cleaner tool, and then continue to that OOBE step. But I've heard of numerous sitautions being resolved with just ditching that OOBE culprit. But don't hold me responsible for any bigger mishap...

  • Creative Cloud / Adobe Application Manager

Do Creative Cloud & Adobe Application Manager do the same thing/ duplicate each other?
Creative Cloud says Photoshop CC is up to date & on checking the version, it's on 14.1.1
CS6 (which i already had installed before joining CC) recently updated itself to CS6 'Extended' & currently shows as version 13.0.1
Adobe Application Manager popped up today saying there's an update for Photoshop CS6 & Photoshop CC to 13.1.2   it states:
"This Adobe® Photoshop® and Photoshop Extended 13.1.2 update installs new features for Adobe Creative Cloud members and Photoshop subscribers. It offers exciting new capabilities for design, photography and more, including the freedom to nondestructively edit with Blur Gallery and Liquify using new Smart Object support, the ability to export text and shapes as CSS, the option to create Conditional Actions, and support for new HiDPI displays that enable a dramatic improvement in image fidelity and resolution. Other new workflow timesavers are also included. Customers with Photoshop Extended will also receive new 3D options including improved live previews that simplify the creation of shadows and reflections in 3D artwork and a 32-bit color picker for better illumination control, and more."
Am I too assume that Creative Cloud only updates Phtoshop CC & that Adobe Application manager updates CS6?
I guess too that if i click 'update' in Adobe Application Manager, it will update CS6 & leave CC as it is? (if I deselect the CC update, it deselects the CS6 update too).

    Hi Les,
Creative CLoud Desktop App and Application Manager are the same thing . The pop up that you are getting is from Adobe Application Manager updater and the sole purpose of this application is to connect to the Adobe servers and find out if there is any update available or not .
The update window that you have got is for CS6 only as there isnt any update for PS CC available right now( current version is 14.1.1) .
    Cheers,
    Kartikay Sharma
Thanks Kartikay. I'm sure i'd read somewhere on the forums that Creative Cloud when installed would replace the Application manager? However, I went ahead and clicked on 'update' in Application manager & it said it was trying to apply 'Photoshop 13.1.2 for Creative Cloud' (no mention of CS6). Tthe update failed with the following message:
    'Photoshop 13.1.2 for Creative Cloud
    Installation failed. Error code: U44M1P7'
I've tried removing Photoshop CC from the list of programs to check for updates for in Application Manager but that made no difference either - the update for   'Photoshop 13.1.2 for Creative Cloud' remains & failed again when I tried to apply it.
I then tried removing CS6 from the list of programs to be checked in Application Manager & then it reported all my programs are up to date; when re-checked the box for CS6 the update reappears.
So it seems there is an update for CS6 but there's the 'Photoshop 13.1.2 for Creative Cloud' update linked to it which cannot be unticked without removing the CS6 update as well. If I try to check for updates within CS6, the same problem occurs.
So if the update is indeed just for CS6, how can i apply the update?

  • Premiere Pro, Creative Cloud & Adobe Application Manager all wont open.

One day it was fine, the next it's not. My Premiere Pro, Creative Cloud & Adobe Application Manager all wont open.
No error messages, it just doesn't open. I can't get through to talk to staff (because why should you be able to right? You only pay for the service..)
Could someone please shed some light on my situation?
My Lightroom and Photoshop are running fine as normal. I wish I could provide more information but it's really that simple - none of it will open.
    Thank you!

At this point, I think I'd just download & run the Adobe CC Cleaner app, and use it to uninstall & clean up your PrPro & the Creative Cloud desktop app itself ... then download a fresh copy of the CC desktop app, install & sign into your account, then download & reinstall PrPro ...

  • Installation Error (7) Adobe Edge Animate - Creative Cloud Desktop Application

I would greatly appreciate help with this, I have scoured the adobe forumns and google and am unable to find a solution.  I am trying to download Adobe Edge Animate from the creative cloud desktop application (PC) and it gives me this error
    !Installation Failed - Learn More
When I click on learn more it says
    Installation failed
    Errors encountered during installation.(7)
    More information
However the more information button does not do anything when clicked.  I have had no problems installing my other application, updates and trials with the creative cloud desktop app.
I have ignored this issue for weeks but I have reached the point in a work project where I need to use the program.  The Desktop application is up-to-date and I even tried disabling my firewall/antivirus but it made no difference.
    Few other details:
I ran the adobe cleaner for CS6 programs before installing the creative cloud.
The program fails at 51% Installation.
Please please please help. Thank you for any information you have and any time you can dedicate to this issue I am having.

Thank you Jeff, I followed your directions and may have found the issue yet I do now know how to resolve it.
    Some Background:
When I first installed the Creative Cloud Desktop Application a couple weeks ago I had my main hard drive partitioned into  C: and  D:.
Because of limited space of my C drive I changed the application install directory (in the Desktop App preferences) to D:.  Despite this it was still installing all the programs to the C:/default path.
I had posted concerns about this on the forumn after trying restarting and reinstalling yet nothing worked. Despite it listing D: as the install directory it would not install there.
So finally I just decided to unpartition the drive back to only C:  Prior to the unpartition I was transfering the conents of D to a seperate hard drive and I changed the preferences back to C: in the Desktop app.
As I was waiting for the files to transfer I decided to start a trial install (as the transfer was taking a while.)  Pushing me over the line of frustration into amusment it then proceeded to install to my D: drive.  At this point it was just doing the opposite of what I wanted.  Regardless I continued with the unpartition and all the applications I have downloaded installed fine since then to my new larger C drive.
When I looked into the error log for the Edge Animate I noticed this
    08/09/13 15:21:39:504 | [INFO] |  | OOBE | DE |  |  |  | 4300 |  - 0 fatal error(s), 1 error(s)

This issue just wont leave me alone.
As I mentioned before the install directory has been set back to C since before the unpartition and all the other programs have installed fine.  Are there somewhere that secret preferences are stored?  This is all the more unbelievable as I prior to reading your instructions I uninstalled the creative cloud desktop app, ran the adobe cleaner for any pre-CC applications as well as a registry cleaner and reinstalled the Desktop App and tried again.
Thank you very much for directing me to the reason for the error, can you help me figure out why the CC Desktop App is doing this?
