Creative Clous Apps not launching after downloading

I just subscribed to creative cloud, but cannot open Illustrator or Photoshop, it says they are downloaded, but the 'launch app' functionality is not shown. I tried to fix this by uninstalling previous trial versions that were on my computer of CS6 Photoshop & Illustrator, but now these apps still show up in Adobe Application Manager as though they have been downloaded, but are nowhere to be found on my computer. I tried to re-download them from Adobes page, but no luck.
The "Launch App" button never appeared for any of the apps when Adobe Applicaiton manager first installed the items.
Please, is any one has any suggestions it woudl be greatly appreciated! I really need to use these apps today!

Ananda this is completely expected.  The launch application option will only be avaiable after you initially install the program.  The idea is to allow you to easily test it's functionality.  After that you will want to launch the application in the manner usual for your operating system.  Which operating system are you using?

    I'm having a very similar issue, paired with iTunes not being able to get online.
    iTunes shows up in processes and then hangs at 17,000 K or so -- sometimes it will start up, but that (if it occurs) is a delay of literal hours.
    Pretty meticulously went through all the 'cannot connect' trouble shooting, and have uninstalled, restarted, and then reinstalled every piece of apple software; issue is just as firm. Starting in safe mode or admin mode don't fix it; signing in as a different user doesn't fix it.

    Try using the Adobe Cleaner Tool (available for free download here: http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html) to completely unistall Muse. Once uninstalled, you can download it again from Creative Cloud.

    I just downloaded LR CC after using the standalone LR5. But when I click on the new LR icon to launch it nothing happens. The splash screen appears for a very fast split second, but that is it. I tried restarting my computer, but still not launching. Do I have to do something with my LR5 first?

    Well, it worked, but it is ridiculous, that Adobe hasn't tested even this obvious and simple case. It is a shame.
    It costed me several hours to find out what is going. I am very disappointed.

  • CS4 Apps not launching after install

    Hi,
    I have an imac running OSX 10.5.6, with CS2 installed on it. This morning I received my CS4 upgrade discs. The installation ran without a problem. I opened CS4 Photoshop with no problem, then I opened CS4 Acrobat...a window popped up asking for a serial number (odd I thought) so I put in my CS4 serial number, but it didn't work. I decided to restart the machine. After restart none of the apps would launch, they appear in the doc for a few seconds and then close up. Acrobat will launch briefly, but it asks for my computer password, after that it says I need to launch another CS 4 app bc it is part of a suite and acrobat closes. CS4 Bridge is the only app that will launch and stay opened. So with the exception of Bridge and Acrobat (which doesn't really open in the end) all the other apps just appear on the doc for a few secs and then close.
    I was on and off the phone with tech support for about 6 hours, installing, uninstalling (CS2 and 4 using maccs3clean) making new user logins, using safe boot, more uninstalling and reinstalling. Then they tell me they are out of ideas and will need to do research and since it's Friday, I won't hear from them again until Monday. Obviously this is a bit aggravating.
    Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? I'd almost say the discs were duds, but after that first installation I was at least able to open PS without a hitch, but the trouble seemed to start when I opened acrobat, and it asked for a serial number.

    Thanks for chiming in. After several hours of phone time with  tech support, they had no answers and said that would have to get back to me Monday. But I’ve found the solution on a forum and it literally took me less than a minute to do. I removed the "FLEXnet Publisher" folder from the Preferences folder that’s within the Library folder. All CS4 apps opened right up without a problem.

    Hello. I purchased a used ibook running system 9.2 and used my firewire drive from my original ibook ( OS 10.3.9) as a startup disk. It mounted the drive and operated but Safari and Mail were un able to make an internet connection. Mail needed a Force Quit to be able to Shutdown. The firewire drive is the only drive used with the original ibook and contains the OS and applications. Since then several but not all applications will not launch on my original ibook. Safari crashes then launches. Mail launches but will not work. Incidentally, I do not have any s OS 9 files on my original ibook. I have repaired permissions.     One possible fix, clear your System and Kernel Caches on the firewire drive. You can do this using a Utility such as Onyx - Panther version. Restart.
    If that doesn't help, since your problem is OS X related, the Mac OS X v10.3 & earlier forum would be a better place to post your problem.

  • IPAD 2 - IBOOKS app not appearing after download

    I have been able to download COMCAS and SONOS apps without problem and they show on my screen (I have only one screen) but I have tried several times to download ibooks using my itunes store, then syncing with my IPAD. I never see any app on my IPAD. It is NOT on any 2nd screen page and I have tried off/on with IPAD, then a soft reset and nothing works.
    Would appreciate any help since using IPAD as a book reader was one of my main reasons for buying it.

    When you say a soft reset, do you mean : pressing and holding both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignoring the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear (you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot). If not, then give that a go. A number of people have had a similar issue with iBooks (and I've only heard about it affecting iBooks), and it's then appeared after this type of reset

    Save the file to the desktop and start the installation with a double-click on that icon after the download has finished.<br />
    If you keep having problems then temporarily disable your anti-virus software during the download and installation in case it is causing problems.

    After I realized dreamweaver wouldnt boot I checked both to cloud and dreamweaver for any errors in the load.... nothing. It was a combo deal, trial and then dreamweave.
    Cloud works. dreamweaver doesnt even boot up.  When cliching the dreamweaver icon, the cursor shows its thinking about it, but it just stops, and goes no further.  Rebooted the my laptop... and still doing it.

    sometimes - for whatever reasons - CC doesn't "want" to work. In this case you should CC completely delete and reinstall by help of Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool.

    My iphoto app will not launch after talking with an apple tech support who had me sync my iphone 4S with my mac desktop.  The pictures downloaded from my iphone and after disconnecting from the Apple help, my iphoto had disappeared from the very bottom of the screen and will not launch.  Can you help me retrieve my pictures.  They are still on the computer.

    The current version of Lync for Android is
    5.5.3.8935.
    I don’t test it on M8, but on other Android 5.0 devices it works fine.

    Quite possibly this problem happened because of something else I did. However I just now noticed today that Aperture will not launch after I installed 10.5.6 last week. This is the first time I tried Aperture since I updated.
    Help! This is VERY important to me as I do all of my photo ediing these days with Aperture. I have a couple of thosand photos waiting .

    try going through the application maintenance steps. You mentioned that you ran repair permissions prior to installation, this needs to be run AFTER any application install. As it could be any number of things causing the issue I have listed in sequence some steps to take for trouble shooting/maintenance.
    1. Repair permissions on system drive and drive with application on it.
    2. Verify and repair the disk with the library on it. If on your system disk run verify to see if it needs repair.
    3. Remove the application preferences found here:
    system disk/users/users/library/preferences/com.apple.Aperture.plist
    •test application
    4. CMD+OPT when clicking on the Aperture icon to launch it and choose consistency check
    •test application
    5. CMD+OPT and choose rebuild library
    •test application
    6. Remove any installed plug-ins from following directories
    system disk/users/users/library/application support/aperture/plugins/
    system disk/library/application support/aperture/plugins/
    •test application
    7. Hold the Option key down and launch Aperture and see if you get the option to create new library or choose library, try both of these steps.
