Creative DDTS-100.

Hi,
I own an audio card (mobo integrated) that has 6 channel audio output. I connected the speakers to the switch box and from my soundcard ( the 3 ones ) to the switch box but i still get no sound from the DDTS-100, i only hear stereo like the DDTS-100 is not connected at all. Anyone can help ? My soundcard is not a creative, it's an AC'97 that is integrated on my mobo. Thanks, -Andy

Creative ddts-100 center trouble

i have a creative ddts-100 and all speakers work but the center doesn't want to run."test" speakers is ok but when i run a dvd no voices in the center.i don't know what can i do, have you an idea ?

I was wrong, the minidisc has optical only line in, the line out is not optical. I checked and i didn't see the red light, while when i conencted to a dvd for home use there was red light. I will have to buy the x-fi platinum the 22th and will see if my decoder is defective. Thanks, -Andy

Creative DDTS-100 Decoder Switchbox

Hey guys, I've got a Creative DDTS-100 Decoder but I'm in need of the switchbox that comes with it as my decoder never came with one. Does anyone know where i can get one from or anyone who has one but don't need it.

i have the exact same problem
i bought it so that i could use the dolby prologic II from my playstation, everything works except for the sub-signal
if i use the test function on the remote control, the sub does work though
i tried optical in (all 3 of'm), analog in (all 3), different cables, different games, different speakers
i tried it with the optical out from nvidia soundstorm, but no sub-signal either
and when i use the nvidia test function, the sub makes a noise again
i bought this because most reviews where rather positive about this product, and now it's kinda useless, racing / gaming / watching a movie without bass is ridiculous
please give us some help

European to UK Adapter work on a Creative DDTS-100?

Hi
I got a Creative Decoder DDTS-100 of a friend but it only comes with a European AC power supply that has two round prongs and I need one for the UK mains, so I was wondering if anyone knows whether one of those European to UK Adapters would work with the DDTS-100 and if they would then what strength of fuse would would I need in order to power the DDTS-100?
I have tried a adapter my mom gave me but it only has a amp fuse inside it and it didn`t power the DDTS-100 so i`m wondering if it would be because the amp on the fuse is too low?

Creative DDTS-100 Decoder - Stereo - Surround

Hello,
I ordered the DDTS-100 and stands with the Ddts-100 now before a problem.
I wanted to connect the dvd-player and tv with the DDTS-100 and enjoy then surround sound, but I heared that this the DDTS-100 not really can do, tune that?
If I cannot let stereo sound on 5.1 sound, for what is the decoder then good?

Creative DDTS-100 Crackling Issue

So I've been using a DDTS-100 decoder for about a year now. However, when I first turn it on, I almost always get crackling. To get rid of this, all I need to do is turn it off and back on again (perhaps several times), and it only seems to occur on the optical inputs.
I read that this is a fairly common issue. Was there ever a fix for it's

Need help with deciding digital options... creative ddts-100, ddts-610, x-fi i/o cons

first off i mainly game and listen to music on the pc or listen to the music while gaming... i currently have the logitech z5300e speaker system, creative labs x-fi fatalty pro gamer sound card... i wanted to purchase a receiver to go digital except thats a bit too much for me right now, if i was to get a receiver it would be for my home theater. so i looked around and came up with a couple alternati'ves, except i am not sure if these options will work with what i have now...
?st option, i could go along with getting a creative labs inspire digital 5500 speaker system because that sytem comes with a decoder box that creative labs no longer makes... this decoder box has 2 optical in, coax in, also has a adaoter that connects the speakers to the decoder box as well... runs around 200.00 dollars?2nd option, i found on creatives website a new decoder called the dts-60 except this option would require a receiver because this newer model does not come with the speaker adapter as the dts-00 does... but since i am going to upgrade my home theater receiver i would have that one to use with the coax connections. this option runs 00.00 dollars?3rd option, i? found on creatives website a x-fi i/o console so far from what i read it works with my sound card ... i am still not sure if i can just connect the speaker cable to the console but this would run 80.00?4th option , on there website there is also, a dribe bay x-fi i/o upgrade. not sure if it will work with my soundcard but i was thinking it may be an option to use cause the card i have has built in decoders i think..
??what would you guys do ?

Creative ddts-100 crackling with Optical In Use.

. Hello, in the first time, sorry my english, i have some crackling issues like a lot of others users after a certain time when i use the optical in of the decoder. Since this trouble exist, are there any solutions other that power "off" and "on" the decoder ? because the trouble appears since the beggining and even after a come back in warranty to Creative support.

Creative DDTS-100 Computer Audio Q

Hello, I am about to purchase the DDTS100 and was wondering if anyone can help me out. Does it play MP3's in full surround sound mode? I have Logitech X530 speakers, which I know aren't top of the line, but how well does it work with TV audio, DVD's, games, etc?

It works but it really matters what you feed it. DD and DTS tracks are no problems, and stereo sources can be matrix upmixed. But just don't expect wonders, it is still just a decoder, nothing else.

Creative Decoder DDTS 100,

Hello,
I.m using a creative decoder DDTS 100. When i switch on the decoder i set the volume, in which mode it should be, the volume of center and rear speakers. My problem over here when i switch off and switch on the decoder it comes to the default setting. What i want is my settings needed to be saved each time time i switch off and should come up with the same setting when i power on. Please provide me with a solution for this.

i dont know much about them and not sure if all componenets are there,the box it was in had a piture on the front of the actual decoder and remote, i have both those and a power lead, box and instructions, it mentions here and there in the intructions about a switch box, which i do no have but can look again for it.
if you are intertested i can list the item on ebay with a price that we can arrange for you to buy and i will post it off to you. where are you?

Creative decoder DDTS - 100 replacements? or new model?

Well I wanted to buy ddts-100 but i guess i was too late and it got discontinued . I was about to get it on E bay but it went for too much. Can you guys recomend something as good or better to get then ddts-100 decoder? is its replacement coming soon? I have creative inspire T7900 speakers just in case thanx.

Creative Decoder DDTS-100 parts list ??

'Creative Decoder DDTS-100 parts list mspecifially the value for the capacitor "C06 "? this one is at the front of the unit.
or if any one still has a working DDTS-100, and they don't mind taking it apart to read the value of this cap, that would also work as well.
also, maybe? some one could also help me with the issue i have. regardless of the source, both headphone jacks on the front work as they should, the issue is with the audio outputs on the back, center/sub, rears , and the front right, no sound output, the front left, has sound output but it is very faint only can be heard when all volumes are set to max. could this be releated to the possible missing capacitor, C06 ? or could this be related to something internal, like one of the wire connectors that connect each board to each other ?

DDTS-100 Switcher Alternative?

Hello, I recently purchased a Creative DDTS-100 Decoder, and could not be happier with it. Unfortunately it was a refurbished model missing the switcher box (PC/Decoder to Speakers) and Remote Control. The remote is inconsequnetial as the decoder is not more than a few feet from me, however, the switcher box is considerably more important. Due to my X-fi being unable to output 5.1 (to my knowledge) on any socket other than the 3x3.5mm stereo on the back of my PC, I have to change the plugs every time I want to use full 5.1 on my PC or decoder. I am aware that the X-fi card is unable to output full 5.1 over the SP/DIF out, Optical out or flexijack in Vista due to hardware issues.
My question is, is there any way to hook up the DDTS-100 and my X-fi to my 5.1 headphones (also using 3x3.5mm) with adapters, or is there another product which will allow the same functionality as the DDTS switcher?

You might want to consider a low cost home theater receiver and connect the satellite speakers directly to the receiver. You'll probably have to make your own cable to use the line level output from the receiver's subwoofer channel to the Megaworks subwoofer. Just be careful not to overdrive those little speakers with the receiver. As an added benefit, you'll probably get much better sound quality as well.
