Creative EAX Console audio effects don't work like before

My audio effects on my eax console used to make a bigger difference. ?I used to use Concert Hall and the reverb effect was much greater just until recently when I downloaded some upgrades creative said i needed. ?I have tried to edit the audio effect individually except there is no edit button like the "help" menus suggests me to use. ?wtf

Hmmm. You seem to have tried, without success, most if not all of the methods of resolving a Ken Burns black screen issue.
Some thoughts that have occurred to me:
1. Perhaps your G4 500mhz Mac is not fast enough. I think that the minimum spec for iLife '06 is 733mhz. Might have nothing to do with this problem, but I just mention it.
2. Are the sizes of your images too large, as can happen with some of these new high def cameras? iMovie has trouble working with very large images.
3. Do you have any 3rd pary plug-ins, particularly in Quick Time, that could be causing a conflict?
4. Do you have enough disk space for the project to operate?
5. Have you done a recent Quick Time update? Some users have reported a problem with that.
6. From your post, it appears that you have continuously worked within the same iMovie file that exhibits the Ken Burns problem. If this is true, try creating a new iMovie project and experimenting with a few clips to see if the problem persists in the new project.
Ken Burns issues can be very frustrating. I think that you will need to keep trying things until something works. Wish I could be more help, but perhaps some of the tech experts on this forum will have some workable suggestions.
There is an application called Photo to Movie that reputedly has a far better Ken Burns type of effect. If you can't resolve your problem, you might try downloading that app. I believe that it offers a demo download.

Effects Don't work with Ray-Traced 3D?

Hello,
I'm working on a 3D logo for a company, and I'm trying to snaz what I have done with some effects, but the effects don't work. For example, I tried adding the CC Light Wipe Effect, but it will only show up when I switch back to the classic 3D renderer. Google searches aren't exaclty effective when I my serach quiere has "Effects" and After Effects" in it, so I'm forced to come here looking for the answer.
Are effects supported in this new renderer? If so, how do I get them to work?

Pre-composing and then switching off Ray-traced rendering in the main comp gives you the ability to apply effects to the pre-comp. This may or may not work for your situation.
Another option is to pre-render your Ray-traced work and then apply effects to the footage. There's almost always something you can do if you think about it for a while.
Still another option is to put a 2D adjustment layer above your 3D Ray-traced layer and apply the effect there.

Audio files don't work in FCE

I have clips that I want to use in Final Cut Express that have audio in 48 KHz, 16-bit integer mode.
The FCE manual says "16-bit audio: For video capture and output, 16-bit audio is almost always used"
When I import the clips into FCE and place them in my sequence, I get the dreaded red line over the audio, and I can't seem to "render," so essentially, my clips have no sound.
The default audio settings for my sequence are 48 KHz, 32-bit floating point, about which the FCE manual says "Final Cut Express HD mixes the audio in your program internally at 32-bit, floating-point resolution even if your source audio is 16-bit. The result is that all audio calculations are made with higher precision, maximizing the quality of your program’s audio."
But since my audio files don't work in FCE, something is not right, and I don't know how to change it. The only way to change sequence settings is to load presets, none of which give me contol over the audio settings at this level. How do I get my audio files to work?

Ok, so I opened up one of the orignal clips in QT, and clicked on "Export -> Quicktime movie." Under settings, I made sure the compression was DV/DVCPRO NTSC, and the audio was set to 48 KHz, 32-bit floating point. And exported. And then imported the clip into FCE, and it worked! (Even my teacher in my Final Cut class couldn't answer this one for me).
Question is, if all cameras record at 16-bit interger (as the FCE manual says) and FCE requires 32-bit floating point (as it seems to), why doesn't it do the conversion automatically (as the manual suggests, but does seem to actually do)? I guess I don't really need this question answered, since I now have a fix, but I still need to use QT to convert every clip before I can use them in FCE, which is still a pain.

Motorola S9-HD audio controls don't work with 3GS?

I'm the recent and proud owner of a 3GS and Motorola S9-HD headset. The headset easily pairs with the phone and plays music flawlessly (sounds awesome too). Only catch is that the only controls that work on the headset are the volume. The audio controls don't work at all.
Anyone know of a work around for this or if I'm just out of luck...

Word is the OS3.O for iPhone does not support full implementation of music controls via Bluetooth. Not a defect of your headset. As we all know, Apple has been dismal at implementing Bluetooth on its devices. However, word is that OS3.1 update for iPhone will fix this. I have both the Motorola S9-HD headset and the Motorola S805. Neither has full control with my iPhone 3GS using the current OS.

I'm new with flash and don't know why the timers don't work like i would expect. In VB.NET timers are how you move stuff, but it doesn't look like they are ideal for moving stuff in flash at all (really slow). I'm making a game in which you throw a ball around the screen. i am using a timer to get the ball to move. this doesn't work well for 2 reasons; 1: the ball jumps alot, and 2: the timer should eventually run out of time. If anyone can help, i'd be thrilled cus this is my first post here, so yeah

Timing for movement would be more often dealt with using something that operates at the frame rate of the file. The ENTER_FRAME event is usually selected for this purpose.

Console in WinXP don't work

I updated my OS to XP, my weblogic console does't work now. In the left
side of the console there should be a tree like control, but now nothing but
a "x" on the left side. Can somebody please tell me how to solve this
promblem? I did download and install the jdk1.3.1 virtual machine.

My console works now. I install the JDK1.3.1, it contains the JRE, now it
works. Because My system have jb6, weblogic6 installed, I seldom install a
JDK. But I still don't know why the JVM from sun(which is installed
automatically) doesn't work, while the JRE in the JDK1.3.1 works.

Video/Audio Chats Don't Work (Screen Sharing as well)

From the time that I got my mac, I have been able to both audio and video, although not screen sharing. I can live without screen sharing, but it would be nice to have if fixable. Now though, audio and video chats don't work at all. I always get an error message that reads,
"There was a communication error during your chat.
Failed to start Video Chat because:
_________ cancelled the connection."
I know that my friends aren't canceling the chats, and especially the appleu3test02 bot.
Any ideas?

Creative Audigy 2 ZS - ASIO don't work in Vista 64 bit APPs

My problem: don't work ASIO in 64 bit applications, such as?cakewalk sonar 8 (64bit), Guitar Rig (64bit) etc. In options of these applications ASIO not available, but in 32 bit version of applications Creative ASIO is visible. I used all drivers from Creative Download Page for Audigy 2 ZS, even beta, but problem still actually. How it is possible to solve the given problem? Sorry for my english.

?I was having the same problem like your having, I have the X-Fi XtrememMusic soundcard, Vista 64-Bit OS and SONAR Home Studio 64-Bit. I could not get the Creative ASIO to load and activate. I now use the Cakewalk Driver Mode (below)?to switch between mode easy now without any problems.
This may or not work, Below is a separate program by cakewalk ?"Cakewalk Driver Mode" that forces?when selected the ASIO, ?WDM/KS and MME 32-Bit modes.
Just install and before going into your SONAR software, use the "Cakewalk Driver Mode" to see if your software is listed. Select that software your using and then select ASIO, click apply and go into your SONAR software.
If your software is NOT listed, this software will not work, But, try it out to see if this works.

Sound effects don't work

I am using iPad 2. It all works fine except for one thing. I have lost all sound effects. I can watch a YouTube clip and there is sound? however any sound involved in the running of the iPad or any apps does not work. I have tried many things but to no avail.
The keyboard doesn't click, there is no locking sound when I close the cover or charge the iPad. I read lots of Zinio magazines and ones like the national geographic are interactive with sound. There is no sound on Zinio anymore. The alarm clock does work and the alarm sounds. So I am most confused. Why do some things have sound and not others.
I hope someone can help. It has been like this for awhile. I have just updated to iOS 7 but the problem still exists. Any suggestions to try would be appreciated. I have tried rebooting. I have an idea that this problem has only happened since the revamp on the iPad interface with the previous upgrade.

Well I don't believe it. I have solved my own problem after months of having it. I had the side button selected to mute. I was still able to change the volume so figured that this is what it was for. I changed the side button to lock orientation. However it still works as a volume button and I now have all my sound effects back. I am confused as to why it works like this but the fact that I now have the sound I want I am happy regardless.
I will leave this post in case it helps someone else.

Not working like before

I just upgraded to Windows 7 and things aren't working the same.
1. I no longer get the creative modules like before it's just a generic box the old one kind of looked like a jam box.
2. I doesn't have the creative icon in the tray it's just the generic windows speaker icon.
3. I don't have an EQ anymore it just gives options on where are we playing... ?Like Jazz Hall.

Before when I clicked on + for open a new tab, a tab opened. On the new tab I could see icons for famous web like Facebook, YouTube, Google , yahoo and ....
But now when I open a new tab I can't see these icons. I want my Firefox becomes like before. Please help me.

I have this problem also. I use Firefox 32.03 on a Windows 7 64-bit machine.
At first i thought it was one of the many add-ons i use that was causing this problem, but after restarting Firefox in safe-mode (without any add-on) it still wasn't working properly.
I also tried the same website in Internet Explorer 11 and it works fine there, so it looks like a Firefox bug to me.
I have this problem since i updated Firefox to version 31 from 28.
If it wasn't for the "Classic Theme Restorer" add-on, i probably would have removed Firefox from my machines after being a Firefox user for about 8 years since version 2. What a mess Mozilla made of the Firefox UI... i hate it.
But back on topic: like the maker of this topic said, it doesn't always open de weblink in the same tab, in most cases it works as intended and opens a new tab when i use <CTRL> + <Mouse Left Click> on a weblink.

Ken Burns Effects Don't Work in iMovie HD (I've Tried Everything)

Version:
OS X 10.4.10
iMovie 6
*Hardware 1:*
PowerMac G4 Dual 500 Mhz, 1GB RAM, Internal 40GB HDD and Internal 320 GB HDD
*Hardware 2:*
PowerBook G4 500 Mhz, 512MB RAM, Internal 20 GB HDD
Problem:
This problem occurs on both of my G4 Macs. In iMovie HD, I imported a JPEG from iPhoto with Ken Burns Effects on. The still photo appeared properly in the Clip Viewer initially, but appeared as a black screen in the iMovie Monitor. Once the imported photo with the Ken Burns Effects completed rendering, the clip in the Clip Viewer turned white and appeared as a white screen in the iMovie Monitor. I have tried almost everything I read about in these forums in search of a resolution.
*Resolutions that Failed:*
1. The photo is definitely a .jpg
2. Tried importing the actual .jpg file as well as importing from iPhoto.
3. QuickTime and all other Software updates have been applied and are running on the most current release.
4. Repaired disk permissions.
5. Created, saved and manipulated the iMovie file in the standard Movie Folder on my main internal hard drive. (i.e. – I'm not saving to an external HDD)
6. Created, saved and manipulated the iMovie file in the standard Movie Folder on my secondary internal hard drive. (i.e. – I'm not saving to an external HDD)
7. Deleted the 'mac.imovie.plist' file and created a new one.
8. Attempted to do apply the effects logged on as a different user.
9. Saved file, restarted machine and reopened numerous times but the problem persists.
10. Tried a lower resolution photo and the problem persists.
11. Attempted to import all the photos I planned to use, added transitions to all of the clips and rendered completely. Saved the file, restarted the machine and reopened the file with no change to the blank clips.
12. The iMovie trash emptying issue did nothing to help.
*Additional Notes:*
1. The problem is confined to the Ken Burns Effects in iMovie. I am able to work with true video clips without incident.
2. Ken Burns Effects operate properly in iPhoto 6 using the slideshow functionality.
3. I would use iPhoto, but it seems like it would be easier to line up specific sections of an audio track with certain Ken Burns Effects in iMovie. (i.e. – a crescendo at the 16 second mark of the audio track coincides with the end of a 'zoom' on a photo, transition from second 16-17 second mark, new photo at the 17 second mark and pan left to right from 17 second mark to the 25 second mark.) Point is that it lines up precisely with the markers on the audio track, which seems far easier to do in iMovie than iPhoto.
4. Please help me, I'm going nuts troubleshooting this bug! I can't find any resolution that works.
