On creative.com, go to support and then downloads. The site will walk you thru it from there. If you still can't get it to work you can go to support and contact customer support. It will give you phone numbers so you can call customer support. I have called them before and they were very friendly and helpful.

Creative extigy soundcard prob

Hey all.
My Laptop stopped recognizing my creative extigy soundcard. The soundcard powers up and will work In stand-alone mode, but when I connect the soundcard via usb cable to my laptop, nothin happens. I've tried different usb cables to see if that was the problem and I hooked up different usb devices to the usb port so i know the usb port is working.
The card worked fine up til a few weeks ago.Does anyone know what else I can try?

Yep, same problem for me. Since I found this problem yet another time some months ago in this forum, it would be very nice if there were some statement how this could happen and if anything could be done.

NAT. INSTR . FM8, ASIOv2, CREATIVE EXTIGY SETTINGS?

I have a AUDITION 3.0, CREATIVE EXTIGY SC, ASIOv2 and MS- soundcard. What do I set the settings for each so that I can record the actual direct sound from the FM8, my drum machine, guitar and bass? There is a million setting configurations that I have tryed and nothing seems to work. I need the direct sound from my sound card to go directly into my AUDITION so I can record them in real-time? Please help!! Brian

Magic Music Maker and Creative Extigy

I bought an Creative Extigy to do some recording and mixing.
On guitar Rig the Extigy didn`t work `cause it don`t support Asio.
Does the Extigy support Magix Music Maker?
I only ?get "dry"sound out of my?speakers,the soundeffects don`t seem to work and I cannot record my guitar when I line it'sinto the Extigy.

Well, in short: You'll get much better answers on the Magix forums on your questions 1 through 3. You will not find many users here who actuall use those programs... For cinema a variety of formats can be used and it will all depend on what they actually want to feed their projectors. Inquire with the cinemas and possibly facilities who do the film transfer/ DCI conversion. Everything else would be pointless guesswork.

Creative Extigy and Optical In/Out with Dolby Digi

I have a Creative Extigy sound card and for christmas got the Logitech Z5500 Digital speakers with decoder capable of decoding Dolby digital AND DTS (THX certified). So now I'm working on hooking up my game console (XBOX hooked up to the optical in with digital and DTS options enabled) to my Extigy and my Extigy outputting to my speakers through the optical out. I have disabled Extigy's decoding and have everything pass through to the speaker's decoder. I put DVD's into my computer and they come through pure digital or DTS (I know because the speaker's decoder indicates digital sound). However, whenever I put in an XBOX game (currently Halo 2 because it has digital sound), it does not come through digital. The Dolby digital light is on on my extigy unit, yet the output is not digital, only Pro Logic II. I've messed around with every option and looked through many forums, yet have not found any resolution yet. It's not my speakers, because they do output digital sound from my computer's DVD's. Is there something I am doing wrong here? Thanks in advance.

Awesome jason, all I had to do was setup my dvdplayer (menu) to doubly digital and turn on the compressed thing. Then as you said on the other post I just openned my audigy cp on the control panel (windows) and setup the device controls - SPDIF input from default to double digital/DTS and voila! It works like magic!!!

Creative Extigy replacement rem

I need a replacement remote for an Extigy if this is not possible do anyone know whether any of the other Creative remote would work with this box.

Yep, same problem for me. Since I found this problem yet another time some months ago in this forum, it would be very nice if there were some statement how this could happen and if anything could be done.

Creative Extigy 10.5.8 problem

Hello! It has been the same with 10.5.7 update , but was easy resolved .
Now same problem no sound card in system preference .

I had actually called Apple suppport when this problem came up in 10.5.7
and they said they had entered into some internal bug report
database. Well it appears they never fixed it, probably simply because
they have no Extigy to reproduce the problem (and they have always
the "third party" excuse if a customer complains ...).
For now it is not a problem, but the chances are pretty slim that the
10.5.6 kernel extension will still work under Snow Leopard. So this is
yet another reason (apart from the usual ones) not to buy & install
Snow Leopard when it comes out.

My Extigy won't work properly with Wi

I have upgraded my PC to WinXP. I have a Creative Extigy with 5. speakers, and on my old PC it all?worked perfectly. With the new computer?the 5. rear?right and left speakers won't work. The others work just fine !?There seems to be no signal coming from the Extigy when I play from Musicmatch Juke box. But if I play something throught MixMeister3 it works just fine. Any ideas what the problem is ? ... thanks ... Roger

hey..actually i have same problem 2 days ago n yesterday my imessage finaly worked..
in my case i use another sim card/not original bundling,then i use my original sim card/carrier, n it instanly worked..
so actually carrier does take the problem..

The FM adapter is here on the USA store. Creative also sell a cassette adapter here on the USA store, but you can buy these in other brands. Line-in is more complicated and predicated by your car stereo.

Extigy prob

Hello, I own the creative extigy for around a year now. It always worked fine untill yesterday. I was playing GT legends and suddenly i had no sound. I thought: ohh, ill just re-install the drivers. When i inserted the CD and clicked install it said there was no soundblaster connected to my computer. So, i tried downloading new driver from the support site, but it didn't help. So i checked the manual but didnt find a solution. Also, when I plug it in after 30 minutes without power, it doesn't say new hardware found: Creative Extigy but i says : New hardware found: Multimedia audicontroller. But again, when i try to install the software it says there is no soundblaster connected. Anyone got a solution for this problem?

statet to be compatible with Creative's external (USB) soundcard models:
- Audigy 2 NX (48 kHz only / not on Mac OS X yet),
- Extigy (48kHz only),
- MP3+ (48kHz only),
- SoundBlaster Li've 24bit external
Limitations using Creative Extigy with this driver: 48 kHz, stereo output, line or
mic input (digital input only while output is muted), no MIDI, no remote control
functionality. We worked hard to change this, still it seems to be impossible at the
moment. 
USB ASIO is commercial product, but there is a demo version available, so you can test
if it would make your life feel easier (http://usb-audio.com/download.html).

I understand your concern. I regret to inform you that Mouseworks 3.0 on 10.5 breaks the native Ctrl + Scroll to Zoom functionality, but for now the solution is to Uninstall Mouseworks if this functionality is preferred. As we test the Expert Mouse & MouseWorks on the release version of Leopard and found that all functionality/programmability works with MouseWorks installed except for scroll wheel zoom.
However as we have forwarded the issue to our software development team, we are expecting an updated release very soon.

Audigy 2 Value EAX Cr

I know there are a couple of threads on this floating around but I couldn't find them. I just want to know if there are any new solutions to this problem (whenever I use a game with EAX the computer crashes and speakers emit screeching sound) This is really annoying me because in World of Warcraft there is no option to turn off EAX, so I don't know how to play it without it crashing on me, other than uninstalling the soundcard drivers.

Wow,st time I looked at this forum. I'm having the same problem.Was doing it in both the Nascar season 2002,2003 sim's.When I was in the car and change view get the same loud screeching sound and then the PC would crash.2003 uses the EAX,2002 doesn't,so I tried 2002 same thing happened.had my Sound card ACC hardware lowered to basics,tried everything.Plus Creative does not have any newer update drivers for this Card,and may never have,there latest driver is real old,so what does that tell you?Now I can't play the 2 Nascar sims,had to remove them. I'm not going out to buy another Sound card,already got to much mony in this darn PC.Chip set is up to date.Drivers are. I had Creatives Extigy External card,did not have any problem,except low FPS because it would use the CPU to do most of the work and rob FPS,that why I went to a Internal Sound card,Better FPS in all games. If I new I was Going to have this Problem I would have gotten a diff. card,diff. CO.At the time I thought it was SP2,I turned a lot off in SP2,Firewall,so on.Did not help,by the time I did all these test ,Fry's would not take Card back.Oh well that's the way it goes,until I upgrade on a new PC. I have been waiting for an X-fi external solution since the advent of the X-fi series... But can any of you Creative Contributors help me with the following questions?!?:?. I have a high-end laptop with a Creative Extigy attached/connected into Klipsch promedia 5.'s and a large wma collection encoded at 92kb

For BEST musical/audio results will the Xmod go between the extigy and the speakers or will I effecti'vely have to 'dump' the extigy as it will not connect the two together and/or render the extigy redundant??2. Will I fully appreciate the Xmod when utilising 92kbps encoded wma's? - Have heard differing reports that it works wonders with 28kbps mp3's but not with 92kbps compressed files. What is the amplitude of the output of the amplifier? Both full scale signal and expected noise in the absence of a signal. What is the frequency range or bandwidth of the amplifier? Is the noise bandwidth significantly different from the signal bandwidth?
Do you have a DAQ device? If so, which one?
What is to be done with the data after it is acquired? Display, save to file, control something?
What interaction with the software will the user have? What inputs does the user need to enter? Is there data to be read from a file (test parameters for different amplifier models for example)? What outputs will be presented to the user? Raw data measurements, Pass/Fail indications, other...?

Controlling RealPlayer 10 with Rem

I have a creative Extigy with the remote RM-000, and i want to be able to controle real player 0 with it. i have tried this before you have to write a .key file that converts the key pressed into an asci code. but i cant seam to get it to work with real player, as the short cut keys are ctrl+p for example. also how does the remote recognise the key file to use, does it have to be named the application name, of the exe file name or what. Any info would help or even better has any one got a working one, for real player, they could send me.
