Creative Inspire T6100 Connection Problem ...

Hi,
I have just purchased the Creative Inspire T6100 and intended on using them for my Laptop, I am not so good with technology but I bought these speakers purely because of the good reviews it had.
The PROBLEM I have is that when I connect the 3 wires i.e. Black, Green and Orange , I only have space for one headphone jack on my Laptop as a result sound only comes through two of the fi've speakers. I realize that all 3 headphone jacks must be plugged into my laptop, but I simply do not know where to place the other two.
Therefore I was wandering is there some sort of device which would allow me to connect those 3 wires into my laptop. Perhaps some sort of 3 to converter
(Please remember I am a complete Novice on technology)
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank You

If you are using your motherboards existing inbuilt sound card then you arerequired to check the balance level. to check balance level. to check the balance you please click on start > control pannel > then click on " sound & audio devices"? In this menu click on " Advance" here you will found balance level of both master volume & wave . checkbalance sould be at center level. secondly go into your cards application software and select 5.1 or 6.1 speakers,to check the sound take a headphone and attach each output of sound card if sound is coming both channels then it meanssound card is ok. Check your T6060 speakers audio leads should be fully Inserted into sound cards socket. If your are using creative sound card then set it to factory default setting and check the problem will be automaticaly solved. Creative T6060 speakers are 5.1 speakers & it requires proper sound card . It is recomended to install creative Sound blaster5.1 or Creative Audigy Value sound card for exelent performance. • Creative Inspire T6100 5.1 Speakers problem

Hello. I have Creative Inspire T6100 5.1 Speakers with SB Audigy Live! 24-bit installed Sound Card (it supports up to 7.1 speakers). Also I have Stereo Surround CMSS 3D settings (EAX)enabled. However when I'm listening to music or playing games my Rear Left speaker makes no sound. Before I had problem that Rear Right wasn't working (however rear left and right sound was on rear left speaker), but after replugging Rear Left doesn't work. Any ideas what might be the problem?
    Thanks for reading...
EDIT:: I tried changing Rear Left and Rear Right speakers with each other in Subwoofer (where it connects) and Rear Left is working properly.

Hi all do you have any idea to solve my problem?
Currently, I'm using the P5800. My problem is sub can't working. I fix together with SB24Bit External sound card.Previously is working. I'm very proud with the sound, after I decrease the master volume and bass level volume my sub suddenly quit.what happened actually?
-Is that mean I need to change the sub speaker or the coil inside the magnet core is burned?
-or maybe my component circuit like ic,capacitor, diode burned?
If I plug n unplug the power to the sub,I can heard that 'bump'. Is that mean my circuit in good condition or maybe the charge and discharge for capacitor?
    Please answer me...
    Thank You

my old creative set up has broke and now it is time to renew. my problem is.... i have a 5.1 decoder amp it sends the sound out separately to front L,R, back L,R, center and sub. this allows you to power them all separately. i am considering buying 2 sets of the creative inspire t6100 one set for the back L,R and one for the front L,R. and i would like to know what other users of the t6100 think of the system more to the point how many users have had problems. i am reserved on weather creative speakers last very long as my 2 sets of fps1600 have broke ( set the sub went and the other sounds like it is under water) and my 2.1 i-trigue 3200 (5 months old) (center speaker on my set up) is having problems with the wired remote. i am reluctant to switch companies as i think when working properly creative have an amazing sound. i would like to know if any one has any opinions on logitech (rival company if you will) as i have never heard anything from their speaker range. http://images.europe.creative.com/is.../dot-clear.gif

  • Help setting up Creative Inspire T6100 (5.1) to HP Laptop

Hi I recently bought Creative Inspire T600 (5.) speakers. I am unable to connect this to my HP DV6T laptop having only one input for speakers where as creative t600 has 3 pins in black, orange and green colors. I am stuck here. Could anyone please tell me how to connect the 5. speakers to my laptop? Appreciate your help.
    Arun.K.S

Not really 100% sure (I only have a Creative T3030 2.1 that has a single 3.5mm jack) but from everything that I Googled, it looks like a stereo 3.5mm to RCA adapter and a Logitech 5.1 Game Console Adapter should work.

But to be safe, it might be best to check with Creative and see what they recommend for connecting it to the iMac.

  • Probelm with Creative Inspire T6100

Hello everyone, I'll really appreciate it if someone could help here. Just bought a new PC with sound card on board.Motherboard is: GB P35-DS3 /P35/LGA775The sound card is Realtek High Definition Audio. Along wiht the PC I got a 5.1 channel speaker system - Creative Inspire T1600. I installed the latest drivers for the sound card, also made sure the speaker system is plugged into the sound card slots as per the user guide and yet there is no sound coming out at all from the speakers. I also tried plugging out the speaker system and plugging in a normal pair of headphones, still no sound?.... I have re-installed the sound drivers a few times and there is no indication the issue is with the driver. Please help. Thanks a lot

Hey, thanks for your reply but I've figured it out. It was a problem with the sound card driver... It works now and it's great!

  • Creative Inspire T7900 - Connect to Macbook Pro

    Hey Guys!
A long time ago I got a Inspire T7900 7.1 Soundsystem I found It again in the seller and I wanted to install it. I realized that there is no connectivity possibility. Well I could connect over the control device of the soundsystem by a chinch cable but only the 2 frontspeakers work. (Over the device)
On the bottom of this page (http://www.xsreviews.co.uk/reviews/other-products/creative-inspire-t7900/2) you can see the connectivity cable.
    Quote:
"Annoyingly the connectors for use with your computer are the multi-pole type, with the center/sub (orange) and rear (black) each with 4 separate strips rather than the usual 3 strips. This means that you only have to connect 3 plugs (orange, green and black), rather than 4 (orange, green, black and grey) to drive the 7.1 system. However, not even Creative’s own X-Fi cards support this feature fully so you’d be better off with another cable (4 plugs to 4 plugs, rather than 4 plugs to 3 plugs). The system will work without multi-pole support but it’ll resort to 5.1 rather than full 7.1 or even 6.1. For the sake of an extra cable, Creative has made the wrong choice, especially considering as I’m yet to see a motherboard that has multi-pole over the additional grey plug.
Unlike higher-end systems, you won't get an optical or coaxial inputs meaning that the your SPDIF port will be left unused."
Is there maybe an adapter from the 3 to one of the macbook ports. If this should not work is there like a external soundcard you can put the 3 cables in and connect to my Macbook.
Thank you in advance for your help

Hey! I'm in exactly the same situation, so I wondered if you've found some kind of solution already?

  • Creative Inspire T6200 Subwoofer Problem

    Hi,
I am using Creative T6200 speaker set for one weeks and I have a subwoofer problem.
    The problem definition:
-Nearly no sound from subwoofer (you hear it only when you close your ear on it)
-I didn't experienced or noticed the problem since yesterday. Yesterday while I was listening music on Winamp, the subwoofer sound suddenly disappeared. From that moment on, I was only able to hear the subwoofer two times but then it's sound disappeared again.
System specs and What I have done to solve:
-I have Vista 32 bit, Sound Blaster Live! 24 Bit, also another sound card (Realtek) embedded on my Asus motherboard, but this sound card is disabled from Bios.
-I am using the latest drivers.
-I tried various media players and some computer games but no change.
-This time I disable the SB Live!, and enable the Realtek sound card, but no change still.
-I had an old Philips 5.1 speaker system. When I plug it on, it's subwoofer works fine and loud, but when I plug T6200, it's doesn't!
Do you have any recommendation? I can't tell the problem is software or the hardware, maybe you can help me.
    Thanks...

I also have these speakers, but haven't had any problems so far.
    You could:
    - check if every cable is connected firmly to the subwoofer.
    - check your soundcard/media player settings: maybe the lower end of the equalizer has been killed, being the reason no sound comess from your sub.

  • Creative Zen 32GB - connection problem with 2nd PC

    Can anyone help?
Have had my ZEN for 2 years now & (touch wood) it's still going well.
I want to be able to upload music from my laptop when I'm away so I installed the software & registered it without any problem. However my laptop can't detect the device.
My ZEN has just connected quite happily with my main PC so it can't be the devce. Is there a restriction against using the same device on two different computers? If not why can't my laptop detect the device?
O/S Windows XP SP3 on both computers.
    Thanks

    Many thanks for your response.
I have tried connecting using another USB without any success.
I think my lap top should be powerful enough - it has a 5 inch screen and I can connect my Philips 32GB GoGear without any problem.
(My Philips is my back-up in case anything goes wrong with my ZEN but I don't like it as much )

  • Inspire T6100 subwoofer problem

My speaker system was working excellent ... but i have a problem with my subwoofer since 4 days ago ... it starts an uproar? when i open volume more than half of it ... what can i do ?

    Hi,
Can you do a check making sure that there are no loose connections?
If that does not help, it would be advisable to get in touch with support for further assistance.

  • No power to my Creative Inspire T6100 speakers.

I received my new speakers today and i was eagerly anticipating listening to them. I plugged them all in to the subwoofer and shoved the AC lead in to notice that there was no light on the power/volume speaker. I have tried a few things but have now ran out of ideas. Should i send them back? last thing i wanted when they arrived this morning. Any help is greatly appreciated

    Hi,
I ealier encountered your message in hope that there might be a reply, as i had the identical problem. I continuaslly tried many methods to try get the blue light on the speaker to come on, however in the end it was due to the connection between the main spaeaker and sub. Have a close look at the pins to ensure they're not bent, and fiddle with the connection, with a bit of luck mine suddenly appeared and i was rock and rolling. Im sorry if this doesn't work for you, but you could also check the transformer is warm to check the adaptor is working. Once your in, control panel, sound, advances setting and select 5.1 surround sound.

  • Creative Inspire T6100 5.1 Speakers

Im looking at buying these speakers for my boyfreind, but will they be able to work with his tv and PS3. I was just wondering if any one new! many thanks beth

The line out on your mac is 2 channel stereo. There probably is a way to wire all the speakers together but you won't get 5.1 surround, which would be a waste of all those speakers.
I think your best option is to buy a good PCI sound card. The M-Audio Revolution 5.1 has good reviews, seems good value and probably addresses your problem.

  • Creative Inspire 5200 - Bass crackle

    Hi,
I have creative inspire 5200 connected to Philips DVD Player. The combination works fine with less bass level. When i increase the bass level, i am experiencing crackle in subwoofer where as satellite speaker works fine(no distortion in sound). The distortion is not continuous, it comes and goes off(once in while). Please let me know the solution for this.
    Regards
    Abhinandan

(Re: Creative Inspire 5200 - Bass crackle, abhinandan_gs,
I suspect you're just overdriving the subwoofer input, and when you have an LFE signal, you're experiencing digital clipping.
CL speakers are designed to accept an LFE-level signal which is 10dB softer than standard line-level. The DVD player is putting out line-level, and then the speakers are amplifying it +10db further, which puts it out of balance with the others. To test this, disconnect the subwoofer cable and see if the crackle goes away. I expect you will still have bass coming from the subwoofer, because the normal bass is in the non-LFE channels, and the speaker crossover will redirect that to the subwoofer, but I don't know what kind of bass management the DVD player might also do. If you think that's the problem, the next thing to do is to lower the subwoofer output 0dB before it reaches the speaker input. If you can't do that with the DVD player's controls, we can go into how to add a simple volume control to the subwoofer cable connection.

  • Creative Inspire T900 problem, just 2 front speakers work when connect to a laptop

    Hi everybody,
I have just bought a Creative Inspire T7900 system, it's in good quality I think.
But I just got a laptop without 5.1/6.1 or 7/ sound card ( one output only ), therefore i cannot use the 7.1 Audio Cable.
I tried to use a stereo-to-stereo cable to connect my laptop to the input in the wired remote but only the front satellite speakers work. Is that a problem with the Wired Remote ? Or the problem with the system ?
Can I laptop use all the speakers ?
Please help me, thank you very much.

    thanhvtd86,
There isn't any problem with the speaker system nor your laptop and it's normal. Stereo consists of only 2 channel and that's why you are experiencing output from only the two front speaker. You won't be able to utilize the full capability of the speaker if you don't have a 7.1 capable soundcard.
