Creative Jukebox 20gb MP3 player - need explo

Hi, this things about 4 years old... I dont know if anyone remembers it - it looks like a discman. Anyway, I dont know how I am supposed to access the files on it on my computer, since I dont have the explorer program for it....and i've looked all over the site and can not find any information about my product. Does anyone know where I can get this, or another way I can transfer songs to and from my mp3 player?

Do you need Creative MediaSource?
You can download that from online. Go to Support, Downloads, and select any player (Pick your favorite ), and select the software. Is that what you were looking for?

  • New MP3 player needed!! Must have FM recording functio

    Dear all,
Please could you let me know what you would suggest in relation to needing to buy a new mp3 player, (i currently have a zen micro 5gb but need more memory) however i need to be able to use the FM recording function as i record college lectures which are broadcast on the radio to save everyone having to turn up to each class. howver i have spotted though these posts taht this function is being removed. so could people please suggest a sutiable make and also could Creative mods etc please explain why this is being removed. as personally i find this the best feature and is the only reason that i have brought 3 creative products so far and am going to buy more! (i have also encouraged 6 others to but creatives rather than a well known fruity brand of mp3 player!)

So does the Zen Sleek Photo 20GB. I love mine, the sound is excellent, it is a very attracti've looking unit, it has an FM radio and recorder and plenty of memory to save recordings, different screen themes, and as an added bonus, it is the only MP3 where you can use personal photos as screen wallpapers

  • Suggestion for creative's next MP3 Player, connection for USB Flash Driv

I would to see a connection for USB flash dri'ves to be added to the next mp3 player Creative makes. This way we don't have to rely solely on expensi've and limited in memory SD Cards.

I'm a bit confused as well, flash dri'ves are all more expensi've than the SDHC cards I have of the same size, and a whole heck of a lot more bulky and oddly shaped. I can't see myself strolling around with a ZEN with a plastic knob sticking out of the side, but that's just my opinion.
I like SD cards, they are slim, extremely light weight and easy to carry (mobility is pretty much the entire point of a portable player). It makes it really easy to purchase a few SD cards and use them like interchangeable disks. They are also pretty cheap and rapidly getting cheaper.

  • Creative Zen Nano mp3 player not showing on ext monitor

I am having a problem getting an mp3 player to show in the finder when my powerbook is closed and I am working off an external monitor.
I have a Creative Zen Nano 512 mb which shows on the desktop of my powerbook when the lid is up. Once showing I can close the lid and it will still show on an external monitor. If I eject and plug it in again, it will not show. I can restart the powerbook but I cannot connect the mp3 player to a closed powerbook and get it to show up on the external monitor. I can only get it to show in the finder when the powerbook display is functional. It will show on both.
    Anyone have info on this.
How can I get this MP3 player plugged into the USB port, to show on the desktop viewed on the external monitor when the powerbook is closed lib?
    Thanks

    Harmz,
I think you may get better info if you post on the Powerbook G4 12" Discussions. (I think you just hit the wrong button.)

  • Creative's flash MP3 player strat

I don't understand Creative's strategy in the flash MP3 player market. The n200, v200, Muvo Mix and Muvo tx fm seem too similar. I like the idea of leaving out the radio, line in and mic on some models to lower the cost, however leaving off the display is imo a great mistake(I could do without the backlight though). How about more di'versity in the flash player offerings? How about a slightly larger player that takes a AA battery and has both an AM and FM tuner? How about a flash memory based player with 2 gigs of storage(Have the 28 meg players all been phased out? Perhaps soon the 256 meg players should be phased out?)

From a business perspecti've Creative have to tally all of these bugs against resource and impact. If the bug is small, unlikely to be found and/or doesn't affect many users, chances are they won't fix it. It may irritate the hell out of a small group of users, but that's business unfortunately, particularly in large companies.

  • MuVo N200 MP3 player need more explicit operation instructions that are given in provided manu

Is there a tutorial that will give more information than is provided in the owner's manual that comes with the player?

    creativejoy,
Perhaps you could post up stuff that you are unclear of. I believe the forum member here would be able to help with most of the question. Also, here's a simple tutorial guide for MP3 player in general not specifically for N200 which you could browse if you're interested.

  • Possible new Creative Zen 40GB MP3 play

Hi there, does anybody know if there would be a new Creative Zen 40GB MP3 player due out soon? Here in Malaysia, the new Creative Zen 20GB MP3 player has replaced the Zen Touch 20GB player, and only the Zen Touch 40GB player is still available. Been wondering if I should wait for a new Creative Zen 40GB player instead of getting the Zen Touch 40GB player now. The Creative Zen has better specs then the Zen Touch except for the battery life which is only rated for hours. A big let down from the previous 24 hours battery life of the Zen Touch. Now, it would be just perfect if the new possible Zen 40GB player had the improved specs together with the 24 hours battery.

Most probably, you know how Creative is making a Zen Photo or something, does that reminds you of the iPod Photo You'll just have to wait though, currently I'm just happy with my 5 Gig, it has more than enough space

  • Flash memory 5GB mp3 player..to Creative Managament.

I was hoping that Creative would come up with a Flash Memory Base 5GB or more mp3 player...
I got my first Creative Nomad II mp3 player with a 64MB MMC way back long ago and this year a got my self the Creative Media Player with 20GB harddri've.
Knowing that you are using a Flash memory base unit feels more reassuring, even if you are running or jogging, you are not putting the unit into a lot of mechanical stress that could be damage like that of harddisk base unit.
I travel a lot but my Creative Media Center proves to be very bulky (for me at least). I am more into MP3 music and audiobooks, so i need a lot of memory from a small/compact player at the same time the unit should be robust enough to face the toughest usage.
Anyone who supports that idea Creative should come up with a 5GB or more Flash Memory Base mp3 player. please....... I hope a lot would be willing to pay for the price of a higher GB's.. I would!
Thanks and more power to Creative.
By the way.. my Creative Nomad is still functional though i selldom used it anymore because of limited capacity....sure do loved it all the time...

  • Creative mp3 player compatibility with PFS car au

I was wondering if the "Plays For Sure" compatible Creative Players will work with the PFS compatible car audio receivers from Kenwood and Alpine. I'm mostly wondering about my Zen Xtra, but I'm sure others would like to know if their players would work also. Is Creative pursuing testing this, or should I just assume that all PFS works with all other PFS?

I purchased music from iTunes, but there is one
problem, I can't play it on my Creative Zen Vision
    MP3 player.
    Yes, you are right.
I even burned a CD with
the music, and it won't play on my car stereo??
You must burn a CD-Audio to play it in your home/car stereo.
If you also want to play those songs on your Creative player, once you've done the CD-Audio you can rip it again in MP3.

  • Need a mp3 player that plays wav fi

Does Creative make an mp3 player that plays wav files and uses removeable memory?

Mobile_Hackbox: Most, if not all, Creative players play WAV files.
The problem is that the Zen range at least use tag data to play the files, and WAV files don' t have tag data, making it very very difficult to navigate the files.
I think very few players have removable memory. Perhaps the MuVo Sport C00.

  • Is Creative going to make a mp3 player with the 24-bit Crystaliz

I have dropped my Zen Touch 20 GB a few times (I know, I'm clumsy), and the most recent drop really damaged it. It still plays, but I can only scroll down with the touch pad (scrolling up goes down as well), and rarely the song skips forward randomly (progress bar does not skip forward though, this has happened ever since I got much Touch, but it happens slightly more frequently now).
I've tried pushing in on the touch pad as some have suggested, and resetting the Zen Touch did not help.
I was considering investing in a Zen Sleek Photo, but I think I will stick my Touch since I mostly use Shuffle play anyways.
However, has Creative announced any plans to create a mp3 that uses the 24-bit Crystalizer from the X-Fi soundcard series? I have a X-Fi Fatlty edition, and the sound is absolutely amazing, it blows standard CD and mp3 players away. If Creative made a mp3 player with the Crystalizer, I would buy it no questions asked, death to the iPod!
... That's IF Creative makes one, so does anyone happen to know? It may not even be technically possible, but heck if I know

Yes, it is technically possible and Creative will incorporate the X-Fi technology in its future MP3 players.
This was confirmed by Creative CEO, Mr Sim Wong Hoo when Creative announced its quarterly earnings about a month ago.
At that time, Mr Sim also said that the earliest we can see the X-Fi technology on Creative's MP3 players might be early next year.
But as Creative will be releasing a yet-to-be-announced product in Paris tommorrow (8 dec), i'm not sure if we will get to see it earlier than expected!
Just keeping my fingers crossed, but what ever new product Creative release tmr, it will definately make my xmas more merry!

  • Using Purchased iTunes Music on my Creative MP3 player?

I purchased music from iTunes, but there is one problem, I can't play it on my Creative Zen Vision MP3 player. I went to iTunes because they seem to have the best selection, but if I can't play it on anything that an iPod, then what's the point? Can anybody help me so I can play it on my music device? I saw the info in the knowledge base about converting music to mp3 from AAC, but you can't do that with purchased music. I even burned a CD with the music, and it won't play on my car stereo?? Help!!!

  • Setting up Simple Flash mp3 Player

I have a page with some links to mp3 songs.
I would like to set things up so that when user clicks a mp3 link, a small flash mp3 player (embedded in the page) starts playing with that songs. The user could click on another song that would replace the last one at any time and have basic controls.
    - flash mp3 player - need 1 that has start / stop and volume buttons (simple)
BTW: I set this type of thing up in the past with a frameset - top had quicktime player embedded - and bottom song links went to top frame - all was fine but kind of bulky.... looking for something a bit slicker...
Also would like to do the same for flash / quicktime videos
Also if there's something free or close to free that is a jukebox type where the song list is part of flash - that might be fun too....
    Thanks in advance - dave
