Creative Live Motion - Vista - no pan and tilt softwa

Everything seems to work. The driver installed perfectly and the webcam center also. Did anyone find or download pan and tilt software for this webcam for vista thanks much

Have found another used Creative Live Motion cam. I guess the one I have has got some malfunction.
Trying to replace some part of my new one from the donor old camera. Will post the result with pictures.
For all the people experiencing extremely slow frame rate, a non-documented and not known fix is simple. Just disable the Auto Exposure checkbox in the camera settings first tab and see the smooth results. Manually adjust the exposure to a reasobable value according to camera placement and enjoy.
Say thanks if your problem is solved.
Thanks.

  • Pan and Tilt Camera Recording Duration

Whenever my Pan and Tilt camera motion sensor goes off, it only records 12 seconds and not the full 30 seconds it should.  My other regular inside camera records motion for the full 30 seconds.
Anyone else notice this?  I've looked for a setting but as of yet have not found one to change.  If you know of one please let me know.
The time stamps on my email notifications show 20 seconds (28:50 - 29:10) but as you can see on the screen snapshot, it only shows 12 seconds.  Just to say it before someone asks, yes the 12 seconds is the total time and not the remaining time.  Sorry I just had to add that.

I use to have the same problems and found a solution. try this:
    1. Export via Final Cut Pro using a quicktime export (not quicktime conversion!) Use your current settings. Now you should have a full quality exported Quicktime file.
    2. From there, open DVD SP and go to your preferences. Click on the encode tab and set your SD encoding settings. I advise using
    2 Pass VBR Best
    Avg Bit Rate 5
Max Bit Rate 7 (I dont see the need for 9 as I have been told 7 does a similar job and saves room for audio bit rate)
    Motion Estimatio: best
I like to set it for background encoding as well, but you can encode on build too.
    3. Click the apply button
    4. Now, bring in you full export file from step 1. You will see the progress in your asset tab (if you background encode). Done!
This should work for you as it has for me. I think the reason is because DVD SP does hardware encoding rather than software encoding, but this is only my guess. And FYI, compressor is completely fixed on mpeg2 encoding in version 3, but I still find myself using the above route simply because it has never failed me and is much more reliable.
    Hope this works.

  • USB 2.0 Problem when installing Creative Live Motion Webcam

I currently have a Compaq desktop PC running Windows XP SP2 with all the latest Microsoft patches. However, when I try to install the Creative Live Motion drivers, it warns me that the software components required to support USB 2.0 are not installed.
As a result the Webcam will not function when plugged in directly to the USB 2.0 ports in the PC (either at the back or the front of the PC).
However, if a plug in the Webcam via a USB 4 port Hub (running at USB .) it then works okay.
Can any one please advise how I am suposed to upgrade the software on my PC to convince it to support USB 2.0 attached devices and why does the Webcam not function under certain conditions. Note that I have tried various BIOS configurations regarding its ability to support legacy USB - both Auto and Disabled.
    Thanking you in advance.

  • MPEG2 pan and tilt artifacts using Compressor

Is there away to improve my Compressor/DVD Studio Pro MPEG2 encoding. I had decided to switch to DVD Studio Pro in order to get a better
quality encode. I find that it looks better everywhere except where
there is a camera move. If the camera pans or tilts, I get horizontal lines in
the video and it looks like crap.
I've been encoding through compressor using these specs
    DVD Best Quality 90 minutes/ALL
    Field Dominance: Automatic
    2 Pass VBR Best
    Avg Bit Rate 6.2
    Max Bit Rate 9.0
    Motion Estimation BEST
My project is a HDV 1080-60i Final Cut Pro v5.1.4 project.
I have been exporting a MPEG 2 file through Compressor using v2.1
Have you ever come across this problem? And if so, have you found away
for Compressor to handle motion better? Or should do you let DVD
Studio Pro encode? Does it do a better job?
    Thanks!

    Hi:
I find that it looks better everywhere except where there is a camera move. If the camera pans or tilts, I get horizontal lines in the video and it looks like crap.
That's the nature of interlaced video. Where are you judging in: Playing the MPEG2 in QT? DVDSP simulator? Did you build a disc and tested it in DVD player?
Try making a build in your hard drive and play the VIDEO_TS folder with DVD Player and set it to Deinterlace.
    Hope that helps !

  • The motion on a pan and zoom over a still is at times a tad shaky.  What might I be doing wrong?

I'm currently evaluating FPC X vs Premiere Pro.  With one exception FPC X has Premiere beaten.  My test project is a slide show in which some images have pan and zoom applied.  The general formula I follow is to establish the shot at the iinitial position and scale.  Then move to the ending position and scale, and hold that for a second.  On some shots the movement wobbles during the pan.  I've no extreneous keyframes and I've redone a few slides several times with the same result.   I'd really like to use FCP X, the UI is really crisp and it's less then half the price but I can apply the same fx and they work smorothly. I hope I'm doing something wrong, any advice?   If I decide FPC X should I go the extra $50 and get Motion5? Does it work better?

If the images fill the screen, then Tom's suggestion to keyframe the crop function is clearly the easiest way to deal with it.
Otherwise, I can confirm that my earlier suggestion to change the interpolation at each keyframe from "smooth" to "linear" avoids the wobbling.
I did a small test by having a picture move horizontally, then stopping for a while at the right edge, and then move down and out of the frame. Like predicted, it moved up before it started down. Changing the interpolation to linear solved the issue.

Hello, I have a Creative Li've Motion, the camera is very good, but the blue light on it doesn?t work, I have to do something on a program to lights work?
    Best Regards,

There isn't any setting to disable/enable the blue lighting. If the WebCam is working properly and the light isn't showing, it does sounds faulty.

  • Need to Fix Bad Panning and Tilting

Hey I just watched some footage I shot with a DP, but unfortuntely the DP was not very good at panninga dn tiltiing so the subjects are not framed centered. Is there any way to fix that in FCP? I have a jib shot where they sorta go out of frame, but since I am keeping a wide frame as final cut there is a bit of left over frame I can work with to keep themn centered.
I really need to move the image so it starys centered throughout the clip. Not sure what tool I need. I tried Motion under viewer, but wasn't very successful. Any suggestions?

That would require zooming in on your footage...blowing it up larger than it normally is. And that will cause it to take a quality hit. As a rule, I never increase DV above 5%, and uncompressed 8-bit above 10, or it starts to become noticable.

    http://ask.creative.com/wwenglish/vi..._matrix_de.htm WebCam Live! Motion32-Bit Treiber Q4 CY2007?64-Bit Treiber TBC Q4 2007 Its a bad joke, isn't it?

Hello, i've had my Creative Live Motion working fine under Vista for weeks until today after i have uninstalled the Logitech Quickcam software from my computer (as it doesn't work with my Sphere only the new Sphere MP). After that the Creative driver stopped working, i have searched around on internet and in this forum and looks like everybody have the same problem under Vista. after having tried everything else I have decided to reinstall the latest Logitech Vista driver :http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/do...,contentid=003 and then the 2000/xp driver for the Live Motion from Creative website which finally installed correctly and is again working fine. I have developped webcamXP and i've been using this driver under Vista for days without interruptions and without any problems, everything is working fine including the directX functions to control the pan and tilt through software. This worked for me i hope it'll work for you

  • Creative Live Vista IM (VF0420) Problem, PLEASE HELP!

    Hi
I use Freetrack to play Airplane Combat Simulators, it's a program that uses the WebCam and a hat with 3 LED to simulate the head movement inside the cockpit.
I'm using Creative Live Vista IM (VF0420) installed the CD drivers and it works perfectly with the Freetrack and all the other programs.
Recently i've bought a Joystick (Saitek Aviator), so I installed the drivers on the CD plugged in the Joystick and it was also working perfectly.
The problem is that now the camera it's not working and the only way to get the camera working is to unplug the Joystick and restart the computer.
After the restart I tested the camera and it was working ok, but again, just after I plug in the Joystick the camera freezes the image and stops working until the next restart with the joystick disconnected.
Resuming, this camera only works when the joystick is disconnected since the computer restart. LOL
    I'm using Windows XP 32 Bit + SP2
I tested with other webcam (also Creative) and had no problems working with Freetrack and no conflicts with the Joystick.
I see no conflicts on the Device Manager.
Anyone with the same problem or with the solution please reply.
    Thank's in advance.

I have a dual boot sys, I installed SB drivers in win98se and it worked well. no problem (although sound card specs didnot said its compatible with win98)
then I installed drivers to winXP sp2, it worked well untill i used cd rom.whenever cd rom is reading data sound gets very distorted (sound is from Hard disk files; mp3 wav, ..). I used different players problem remain,in games the sound distorts when cd runs.cant play a Audio CD, sound is too distorted.
I have changed the Sb's PCI slot and booted first the problem was gone, then restarted and problem remained.
I have questined creative support but no answer.
    Please help me !!
If you use cable between CD-ROM dri've and sound card, disable the "Enable Digital Output ...." setting on Device Manager --> DVD/CD-ROM dri'ves --> your dri've name --> Properties --> Properties -tab. If not using cable, then try with cable instead (disable this setting then).
Check if DMA transfer is activated for CD-ROM dri've(s) (try if enabling/disabling it makes any difference).
Disable the Creative CD-ROM detector (service).

Yes, it looks like they've screwed up.  Some people have been able to update CC to LR6, some people get half way through the download and it fails, some people (me included don't get any option to upgrade to LR6 in the CC app... It's all very annoying.  I tried the help chat, and I got "log out of the CC and try again in 2-3 hours".  Well, that was half an hour ago, but I'm not holding my breath for getting LR6 today.

  • Can I put my money on Motion for Glitch-Free Pans and Zooms?

    Hello all
I'm an experienced FCE user, who is tired of the unreliabilty of keyframe for producing good smooth pans and stills.
iMovie, Photo to Movie, I tried em all ....
Do I have equipment related issues? (absolutely not)
Cutting right to the quick, I'd like to find a motion editor that will handle whatever file resolution I throw at it, and give me reasonable results without the unwanted Anti-aliasing glistening appearance, and jaggedness of a pan or zoom that keyframe and iMovie produce.
Within reason of course, but I'm frustrated at having to worry about calculating, and resizing a photograph just to have it behave smoothly as a pan or zoom is applied.
Have you guys had good results with Motion in working with stills? Specifically photographs (tiff and jpg files)
    Thank you

    Hi Patrick
    Thanx for your reply
Well I just purchased, (and still testing), 'Lyric Media Pan Zoom Pro'
First indications by it's initial usage, seems to be good news because it would seem that varying pixel sized images (even very large ones), are being rendered and processed WITHOUT the typical Jagged edges of iMovie, or the unstable movement from keyframe.
The nice thing about it, is that it's a 'FC Plug In' and it was only $49
I do realize that there's a slight (very slight), loss of crispness, but this is probably done as a benefit so that the image will move very smoothly, with no 'aliasing' - So far so good.
    Here it is:
    http://www.lyric.com/fcp-plugins/panzoompro/pzp.htm
By the way, if I were to get Motion, I'd pick up older version 2 as a stand alone
(I know where to find them - legit)
    Patrick you say:
"my graphics card limits me to a 2048x2048 size graphic"
Well, I'm not sure what you mean by this? Are you basing this on my system specifications? My ATI 9800 Pro? This 256MB card was a big improvement from the stock 64MB card.
I'm convinced that all the still image glitches that I'm dealing with are because of the very nature of the iMovie's engine (as read and confirmed here), and by the very nature of 'keyframing's shortcomings'
Looks like I'll work with Lyric Pan & Zoom, and see how it goes ....
    Thanx
    Mike

  • Easy way to do smooth motion pan and zoom on a video clip?

    Howdy..
As a recent convert from Vegas and Premiere Pro, I'm very happy with FCP6, with 1 issue: Easy moves on video clips.
It's very easy to setup a move with the motion filter, but the problem is that zooming with moving on the clip with 'ease-in' is problematic.
The scaling and motion seem to accelerate at different rates, making it very tough to achieve a smooth pan and zoom at the same time (either one by itself is easy).
I've tried using anchor points, but that's difficult when doing several moves on a clip.
Basically, is there ANY way (either native or via a plug-in) to set up simple pan+zooms on a video clip, with smoothness turned on without having the 'slingshot' effect that you get? I know I can mess around with the acceleration points, but this is tough to do with 100 of clips that need adjusting.
I'd appreciate any help you can offer..
    Thanks...
    Best,
    Ben

    Howdy...
Usually I set easy-in/out on the canvas window (for center) and then 'smooth' on the keyframes (for scale) in the motion window.
Can you actually set smoothing for center in the viewer? I think you can only set easy-in/out for center in the canvas. (could be wrong on this one).
I wish it worked like in Motion. Much easier and more intuitive, but one shouldn't have to jump to a different app just to do a simple pan and zoom...
    Any other ideas?
    -Ben

  • Simplifying the process of making lots of pans and zooms

I saw a plugin somewhere for helping to automate with creating lots of pans and zooms across images and videos, though I have no idea where it was. Does anyone know where I can find one? Anyone know if it is easier to do lots of pans and zooms in Motion vs. FCP?
    Thanks.

It boils down to keyframe interpolation. < </div>
    Boils down to creativity.
Easiest pathway to random Ralph Berns effects is iPhoto (or ay of the i-apps with links to your photo library).
If control over the action is not important to the OP, the quality of the rendered output cannot be important either.
