Creative Mediasource doesn't detect zen to

Hello,
I have a Zen Touch and I have it for a year now but I had installed Creative mediasource a time ago again and now he doesn't find my mp3 player. But my Windows Media Player detects it and with WMP I can put music on my zen touch but not with CMS and I like to do it with CMS. I have installed all drivers and now I don't know what to do. Can anybody help?

New firmware but Creative software doesn't detect Zen To

I installed new firmware (a story in itself) but since then creative software doesn't detect my player. It works fine through Real player (but slow) and Media player but I preferred the creative software. I have installed updated software but still the same. Not much joy as yet from Creative and I have tried troubleshooting which involves sync-ing with Windows media but it just froze most of the time and was incredibly slow. After rolling back Media player 0 I re-installed but same thing happened.Anyone have any ideas?

I have had the same problem. I've tried to update the firmware and now thw PC software does nor recognise the zen. Tried everthing and in the process of seding it back to creative. Anyone any ideas. could be cheaper to buy something else that works longer than 4 months.

Windows doesn't detect Zen V Plus he

I've just purchased the Creative Zen V Plus 4gb for my girlfriend but windows doesn't want to detect it, I have followed the?online suggestions with no?luck. It shows in my device manager but with an exclamation mark next to it, I've tried re-installing the driver with?no luck. I've tried this with media player 0 and just updated to series but am still having the same problem. I think all I need is a driver for this player but the software that came with it is not helping me! I have a ipod which I use on the same usb port and that works fine so why doesn't the Zen work!?

Creative MediaSource doesnt recognize Nomad Zen X

Hello,
I'm using the latest Creative MediaSource Version 3.30.2 and when I plug in and turn on my Nomad Zen Xtra it isn't recognized/listed in mediasource (however windows detects it, the latest drivers are installed and nomad explorer also detects it). What can I do to get MediaSource to recognize my player?

Did your previous MediaSource detect your Zen Xtra?
For MediaSource to detect your Zen Xtra, you need to install the MediaSource plugin for your Zen Xtra. It should be available from your product CD. Alternati'vely, you may download the following plugin from the product download site:
NOMAD JukeBox Type 2 Version .0.03 (English) Web Release
I am not sure whether the plugin in your product CD is newer than the one in the Web download. Do visit the Web download regularly for new updates to MediaSource and the plugins.

PC DOESN'T DETECT ZEN MICRO

after I downloaded the latest firmware updates/drivers for my zen micro, my pc doesn't detect my player. i can't view songs via windows explorer, creative interface or windows media player.
i tried uninstalling and then re-installing all of the creative software from cd, but that didn't work.
everything worked before i installed the drivers...
please help?

i got my player to work on my pc again... FINALLY. in the device manager, i hit 'update driver' and my player was detected (at least signaled on the player). when i tried to access songs via windows explorer, it then said it wasn't detected and then the icon on the player was gone again.
sooo000, i hit 'update driver' again and again the icon reappeared on the player saying it was docked. while the icon was still there i reinstalled the driver (. ) and replaced the existing driver.
voila!! it works again!!! hopefully this post will help someone else out there. it's a great player and i'm just happy i can use it on my pc.

Creative MediaSource doesn't have the Burn opt

I recently bought a new Dell desktop. And with it came Creative MeadiaSource. I went to burn a CD and there wasn't that option. So I looked under the Help to make sure you could, well it shows a picture of a CD with a little flame and it says Burn. Is there a way to get my MediaSource to have the burn option?

I don't know what player you have but you can get the CD Burner plugin from the downloads page for most of the Creative players such as Muvo Micro or Zen Micro.
Go to Support->Downloads and choose your player or one of the ones I've listed.
When you get to the downloads page look for Creative MediaSource Plugin for CD Burner 3.0.8
If you haven't got a new enough version of MediaSource you can get that there as well.

Help Please! Creative MediaSource vs. WMP10 - Zen Mi

Okay, so when I first got my Zen Micro, I used the Creative MediaSource that came with it to organize all my music, and I thought it worked perfectly. However, I -just- updated the firmware, and now it's sync-ed with Windows Media Player 0. At first I thought it would be no problem, but I totally can't get used to Windows Media PLayer 0. I tried use Creative MediaSource again, but now I can't get my Zen Micro to sync with it!

Ok. The way i did it:
. Download the version .3 and then delete the version 2.whatever upgrade file oof of your PC.
2. Now go onto the Zen Micro and go into recovery mode (take out the battery and then hold the power switch to on while re-inserting the battery)
3. Scroll to the menu option "Reload Firmware". This will erase the current firmware.
4. Start the version .3 update and then poof TA-DA, you have the excellent firmware on the Zen Micro.

Creative mediasource organizer not recognizing zen microph

I jusr recently had to restore my laptop to factory settings so I had reinstall creative. But now when I open the mediasource to try to get songs off of my microphoto on onto my laptop, it doesn't show my zen in the little dropdown where it shoes pc library, burn cd and something else. Any ideas what's wrong?

Windows Vista doesn't detect Zen V P

I'm hoping someone can help me with this problem. My laptop has Windows Vista on it, but it will not detect my Zen V Plus when I plus it in. My computer at work, which has Windows XP Professional, detects the player just fine.

Creative Mediasource Problems Organizing (Nomad Zen Xt

I would appreciate anyone's help or if anyone is having the same problems.
My MP3 player (Nomad Jukebox Zen Xtra) works, and I just have a tiny discrepency. After downloading and installing all the new firmware and the latest plug and play and the latest version of Mediasource, I find that my experience using Mediasource isn't as comfortable as the older versions used to be.
My main problem is that when I connect my Nomad, it comes up in Mediasource as a bunch of files. Its shows up on the far left window and it's divided into two folders: Music and Playlists. It did not used to have this distinction. The problem is that when I click on the music and it finally loads up, the music isn't sorted and organized the way it is when I browse my PC MUSIC LIBRARY. There is no seperate windows for Artist and Album in the Nomad Music folder...and I remember having that before i updated all the software. I have to sort all my music in one big line rather than divide it up into artists and albums the way you can with your PC Music Library.
Also, playlists on the MP3 player are a hassle now too, because they show up as yet another seperate folder of the artist WITHIN the Music folder. This means I have duplicates of songs now in different albums on my MP3 Player without realizing it because if I have an album on my MP3 player, and then I make a playlist on my computer and send the playlist into my MP3 player, it puts the song in AGAIN, and I have all these unwanted duplicates. The only way to avoid this is to make a playlist within my MP3 player but I frankly find that to be an unpleasant hassle to go through all my music which is poorly divided and organized. It also won't let me upload tracks that have the same file name, such as a song from an album and then a li've version of the same song, with different tag information but a filename that is identical such as "Cherub Rock.mp3" even if they are from two differen albums and folders on my computer. It didn't do this in the older versions, but I can't use the older version because the new firmware doesn't work with the older version apparently.
I just want Mediasource to work the way it used too. Does anyone else have this problem? Can I organize the music on my Nomad in Mediasource any easier?

Is there an way to get the Genre/Artist/Album views back once the PalysForSure version is installed? It seems like this is a giant step backwards for the CMS Organizer, especially since the firmware is presented as being an "upgrade".

NOMAD Explorer doesn't detect Zen To

I open NOMAD Explorer and it says not connected. I would really like to look at the files in my player and edit the tags and whatnot. I can still use the Windows Explorer thing to access the player. Any help on getting it to detect or anyone have another way to edit the files?

Are you using the PlayForSure firmware(verson 2.xx.xx) for the Zen Touch player now? Nomad Explorer won't work with the new firmware. You can download the Zen Touch Media Explorer suite from the website and use that instead to replace the Nomad Explorer.

Mediasource doesn't detect device.

i lost my installation cd and tried to put mediasource on my laptop by downloading the components online. i got the drivers and the application and something to do with sync manager but the program still wont' detect the device. the laptop itself is detecting it just fine.
when i installed the application it said it wasn't detecting the device, and it would now download the necessary drivers for detection. it did, and it STILL wont detect the device. please tell me exactly what i need!!

There should be a plugin to install - this is the bit specific to your player (which model do you have?) so it is needed. PB

MediaSource doesn't detect my no

I have the latest firmware, driver, and MediaSource versions, and when I want to transfer tracks into the nomad, I just can't see it and select it in the program.
(I have Nomad USB2.0 20GB)

Creative MediaSource Organizer w/ Zen Micro Probl

Hey, i just recieved my refurbished Zen Micro from creative, and my Creative MediaSource Organizer wont wont.(It used to work on my old zen micro when i first got it, but then after a while, the organizer wont even open). So i uninstalled all creative programs i had, and reinstalled them using the Zen Micro Installation Disc. The computer can detect my Micro and i can put songs on through Zen Media Explorer. But it was much more convinent to use Organizer. Got any ideas? Thanks.
p.s. when i click on MediaSource Organizer, it says it cannot find CTCMS.exe and before i re-installed it, i clicked the icon and nothing happened.
