Creative mediasource installation problem --windows er

every time i try to install mediasource, a windows fatal error appear and the computer automatically restarts. i have a jukebox 3 40gb plugged in to my cpu, run windows xp, and have installed the newest driver for my jukebox. Can someone please help? thanks a lot.

I cannot get Media Source Player to work at all. I always receive an error message called:
"Creative MediaSource Player has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." Also, there is an error report that I am asked to send, but I myself can't understand it. Also, I cannot uninstall "MediaSource" from the "Add or Remove" prgram in 'control panel'. I can't install it or uninstall it. What the hell can I do?

  • Creative MediaSource Playlist problems!!

(Creative MediaSource Playlist problems!!i Hello!? I am having a huge problem trying to add music to my playlist that I created using MediaSource (I have a 30GB Zen Vision M)
I'll create the playlist, but it is only saving the last track(s) I added to it.... for example:
I add "Human Touch", "Walk of Life" and "Sultans of Swing" at the same time
Those three songs show up on the playlist
Then I'll add "What's love got to do with it" by itself
Playlist now only contains "What's love got to do with it"
I should note that I recently had to perform a system recovery (since my computer crashed but I didn't lose any data). I have the latest firmware for my Zen Vision M and the latest version of the Creative Media Source Version 3.30.35)? Any questions please ask!
    Thanks!

, I would suggest using the Zen Media Explorer for your device to make & edit playlists. It is on the install disc. MediaSource is not that good. Of all the Creative software the Zen Media Explorer for each player is one I do use often for this reason.

  • InDesign/Creative Suite Installation Problem

I just installed Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 to a new iMac, using the Adobe chat to assist. Both Photoshop and Illustrator open without any problems. But InDesign will not open. I did use the Mac Migration Assistant progrtam to move everything from my old iMac to a new iMac, which in hindsight I"m not sure I should have done. Any ideas on how I can get this resolved?

never migrate adobe products.  they should be properly installed.  http://prodesigntools.com/move-adobe-cs5-between-computers-or-windows-to-mac.html
undo everything you can, clean your computer and then properly install your software per http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html

  • Adboe Installer - Initializing Installer problems Windows 8.1?

Is anyone else having issues with the installer for the Creative Cloud working on Windows 8.1 (64 bit system)? Mine just hangs and never updates. What I do get is the Window that displays the progress bar, the CC logo in the top left, the Cancel button is displayed but disabled and nothing more than that. After an hour of doing nothing I need to cancel through the task manager. Very frustrating, and without this working properly I can not get my to other Adobe applications which basically makes my subscription worthless. Thanks in advance for any help on this.

    Hi Romsinha,
Made the changes according to suggestion (caps_old and OOBE_old), rebooted the computer and it did have a different affect: Now I get the Adobe Installer window (CC logo top left) message: Downloading Creative Cloud desktop, Cancel button lower right corner is enabled, but it does not start the download... it has been sitting this way over an hour.
Computer is connected to internet and able to download files from multiple locations except for Adobe Creative Cloud. I know it can download from Adobe successfully because it updated Adobe Air this morning with no problem. Any additional ideas? Thanks in advance.

Strange that WMP doesn't detect it, presumably you have v0? Worth checking the link "problems with connecting using MTP firmware" in the FAQ post and installing the hot fixes.
Also make sure you have the latest software with MTP updates, by downloading and installing the following:
    . Creative MediaSource Player/Organizer 3.30.2
    2. Creative MediaSource Plugin for PlaysForSure devices
    3. Creative Zen Micro Media Explorer Web Update
Before installing connect the player to the PC. Then install 2 and 3 (the player must be connected for to verify you have a Creative product).

Ha ha ha! Sucess at last!
    I got it working now!
I was missing a step in the second suggestion (link posted by DM) to edit the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\U SB and add "EVERYONE." Plus I didn't reboot right away! I guess that would help too. Sorry forgot to do that.
THANK YOU! The support on this fourm is wonderful! Glad to see the help is here for Creative products.

  • Adobe creative cloud installer problems.

I have tried to install Adobe creative cloud and what would happen is that the installer bar would'nt go very far and would just randomly shut down. I dont know why this is, is there anyway I can fix this problem?

  • BF2 disk drive and installation problems (Windows XP Home on a MBP)

So I've taken the leap and installed Windows XP Home on my MacBook Pro. It makes me cringe.
It was not an easy process. Installing Windows took me about 4 hours. There would be an error, I would have to eject the disk, reboot, and the promised 39 minutes seemed to be 5 times slower than it actually was. By the time I got Windows installed it seemed to be running ok, until yesterday.
Yesterday, I tried to install Battlefield 2 Deluxe Edition onto Windows. I inserted the first disc (1 of 5) and my MBP spit it right back out. This happened almost 10 times until finally when viewing "My Computer", the MBP accepted the disk. I then started to install. It froze up a couple of times, so I restarted. Same problem: the MBP wouldn't accept the disk. It finally did, I started install and it finally went. And then, about 4 or 5 percent of the way in, it stopped and said somethign along the lines of "BF2 installation failed, please restart install from the beginning". I did, and got the same message.
    Any ideas?
2.0GHz MacBook Pro   Mac OS X (10.4.6)   1.5 Gb RAM

Now that I have thought about it, I would have to guess that the problem is my SuperDrive.
That would attain for the slow Windows Installation and the BF2 problems.
I also am having problems importing a CD into iTunes. Seems like enough of a problem to make a visit to the Apple store.

  • Lightroom 4 installation problem (windows 7)

Hi, I'm having trouble installing Lightroom 4 on my Dell studio 15 laptop (64 bit-Windows 7, 4 GB RAM).  The installer seems to stop after the pop-up saying it is 'extracting Adobe_lightroom4_x64.msi'.  The pop-up disappears and nothing else happens.  I've tried restarting, uninstalling Lightroom 2, running ccleaner, re-downloading the installer, turning off Microsoft security essentials and the windows firewall, and starting up in safe mode (the latter gives a message saying it can't install in safe mode).  What else should I try?

It sounds like for whatever reason the installer isn't able to extract the 64 bit install files. Lightroom comes as one file but it is really just a bundled up archive with both the 32bit and 64bit installers included. When you run it the installer extracts these and then runs the one relevant to your system (in this case it would be the 64 bit installer).
As you have another machine where the install goes ok you could run the installer on this machine, it will extract the install files at which point you should be able to copy those files onto a USB stick or something, take them home and then run the installer directly. Hopefully this should get around the problem that the installer is having extracting the files and allow you to install the program directly.

  • Application Installation Problem: Windows 7

    Hi all,
I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit installed and booted via bootcamp.
I have an installation file which, when I double click, presents me with the following error:
"The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need and x86 or x64 version of the program, and then contact the software publisher"
I have checked the file on a PC with the same Windows 7 installation and it works fine.
I haven't encountered this problem before and wondered whether it could be a boot camp specific error?
    Thanks/

System - Advanced Protection - Configure - allocate 15GB - then create a new restore check point.
Any install or update will create new restore check points.
If your system is updated, then ability to install should be fine. But run sfc just to check.
And for malware/AV I would definitely recommend MSSE unless you feel good that what you use is W7 compatible and working.

  • Flash Player upgrade installation problem - Windows 7 x64 & Firefox

    Hello
It is impossible to upgrade the Flash Player to version 11.7.700.224 or 11.7.700.169
The antivirus DrWeb detects the installer as a virus (Trojan Downloader) and blocks the download process, but even disabling the antivirus and stopping its services (rebooting included) another problem appear:
The OS Windows 7 x64 rejects the installation saying that there is a program or component required that is not present.
The present version of Flash Player that I have installed is 11.4.r402.265, with this version is not problem for install, uninstall or configure, but Firefox claims that the version needs to be upgraded.
Also a new and strange and  disturbing function has appeared.
In the address bar of Firefox at the left has appeared an Adobe icon the request if I want or not to activate Flash for each web page that contain flash elements.
For example: In YouTube each time I open the page is nescessary to reactivate Flash for to allow the video function, if not the video screens reamain in blank.
Many pages that have active contents force to reactivate Flash a lot of times.
For example: The free web storage servers (rapidshare, hotfile, etc) have routines of showing publicity during the login and startup of the upload/download process.
Each time that I need to reactivate Flash the whole page is reset and makes incredibly slow the use of the cloud storage services.

    Hello
Google Chrome has it own Flash Player built in.
So you cannot uninstall it seperatly, only deactivate it.
And it is not Flash Player v11.2.x at this time.

  • Photoshop installation problems - Windows 8.1

So I got adobe elements 13 & adobe premiere elements 13 in which i recieved via a gift card. I have followed the instructions on how to install e.g
    1. visit the website
2.enter the redemption code from the card
3.download the software using the provided links
    4. install the software, enter the serial number when prompted.
When i download the software, i clicked a little button at the bottom "open when installed". After 2 hours, it didn't open nor did any other tab appear on my screen. I went to downloads and the files are there, except no further installation process so i am currently stuck on what to do. I have restarted my laptop 2x and i cant find the files. I also went on control panel, uninstall a programme to see if it actually downloaded but it isn't there? I feel as if i have the folders and documents on my laptop except for the actual aplication.
    NEED SOME HELP

When I insert the disk a message pops up saying that the CD is either corrupted or there is an error with software. • Creative Suite Installation problem

I lost my original Dreamweaver 8 during OS change to Vista - I successfuly downloaded the 3  Disc Creative Suite to my desktop. Right clicked "Run As Administrator"  to begin the download to my C:\Program Files
After  Disc 1 is complete, the installer stops and asks to insert Disc 2 to  continue. After I right click "run" again for Disc 2, disc 2 does not  continue the installation, but I am asked to install it in another  folder.
Any idea how to continue this installation properly?

If anyone is running into any problems installing Creative Suite, try running the 'Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool' it resolved the problem I was having trying to download Photoshop CS6 from the Adobe Application Manager.
