Creative MuVo v100 battery cover

Hello,
I own a Creative MuVo v00 2GB mp3 player and it has worked fine for me for a few years. However some time ago I managed to drop the battery case cover and subsequently stepped on it. And naturally it broke a little bit. I had an earlier creative mp3 player (don't remember the name) which was a similar system of player module + battery module but the cover from that does not fit into this one. I have a few questions:
- Is it possible to get a new battery module from somewhere? I li've in Europe but any online stores around?
- Which creative player models have battery modules that are compabtible with MuVo v00 ?
(I could by a second hand player and regardless of the state of the player module, I could take the battery module for my machine)
Right now the player works fine but I dislike taping and retaping the battery cover back every time my batteries run out.
Best regards,
~skyde

  • Creative MuVo v100 cleaning

Creative MuVo v00 cleaning So I have the Creative MuVo v00, gb model. I've had this mp3 player for many years, and enjoy it greatly. It still plays music fantastically, and I love the design. I wish they still made mp3 players with this design. I would love to get an 8gb device with this design, but alas it does not exist.
Anyways, over the years of having this mp3 player in my pocket EVERYWHERE, dust has built up on the inside of the screen. Between the outer screen and the inner display. It is at the point now where I can't make out the display anymore. I am wondering if there is a way I can safely clean this. Is there a way I can remove that screen cover, clean it, and then replace it, without destroying my Mp3 player?
Any and all advice is greatly appreciated.

mine is/was pretty dirty too. ?It recently got wet and stopped working. ?After letting it dry for a day, it still refused to work. ?In desperation I dunked it, without the battery half, into slightly soapy water and shook it vigorously, ?After spending another day drying, it worked! ?And the screen was even a little cleaner. ?Obviously, dunking your otherwise perfectly working MuVo into water to clean the screen is not something I would recommend. ?But it worked for mine.

  • Muvo V200 battery cover's tab l

    Hi from Spain,
I've lost the battery cover's tab of my Muvo V200. I've read that Creative has a service in USA were they can supply some spare parts. Anyone knows which is the situation in Europe?. I can't use my Muvo without the this part and is frustrating, 30 euros to the bin, and a wonderful player, for a piece of white plastic.
    Thanks

First of all many, many thanks for your help :-D. I will call the phone number today and I hope I get a positi've response. I plan to buy some items from the creative shop for my lovely Zen Micro (I like Creative products, you know, Sound Blaster, EMU, Creative cam... :-)). I was held by this incident though. Why? no one wants a product that is difficult to get spare parts for, at least not me. I trust Creative and I hope their customer support is as good as their products or as their comunity :-D.

  • MuVo V100 battery door probl

I was wondering if the battery door problem has been corrected on the new MuVo V00 (the one w/ the usb built in)?
This was the only problem with my old N200. Unfortunately, I lost it and am looking to buy a new player.
Thanks in advance.Message Edited by enviro_23 on 0-2-2006 02:58 PM

The V00 is more like the V200 than the N200. My son has one of these and the latch on the battery cover is much thicker than on my N200 so I doubt if it will break as easily.

  • Muvo v100 battery problem?... can one h

hi?wondering if anyone has this problem that i have got with my creative muvo v00 mp3. See i brought a pack of new AAA batteries for the mp3 player. and i just put in a new battery in and listened about 30mins of music, then i switched off the mp3 player as normally. But the think is i noticed my mp3 player wont switched on anymore? at first i thought it was broken, so tried to put songs in it on my computer and it still works.. so i put a new battery in it then it allows me to switch it on again and then i tried it again? with the battery that i listened for 30mins.. and it wouldnt switch on... so its it just me that just cos u listened to 30mins of music and the battery wouldnt switch on. cos if so then its a bit of waste of money as u need a new battery very time u want to listen to music. so does anyone have this problem?...

first of all thnx for answerin me... and yes its duracell, anyway even if it poor battery make,
It still should allow me to switch my mp3 player on after i 30mins of used..
and it isnt just happening with one battery its happening all the time with other batteries... and different battery makes?just it seem odd, cos it mean i have to use new battery just to open it and listen to it.. edit: whilst other mp3 player can last like 2hr on just one battery...Message Edited by jyu on 03-9-2007:58 AM

  • Creative MuVO V100 freezes

CMy 23 months old Creative MuVo v00 freezes often. I? reformatted? it a?few times. It works for a while then freezes again. Then it may recover by itself somehow. Then? it works for a few days then freezes again. This cycle then to repeat itself. Sometime you can't ?access it at all for reforamtting. ?Any permanent fix ? Thanks.

    Hi
I am not able to format my Creative Muvo V00 model Mp3 player. As i connect it to pc to format it is showing the icon but when i right click on that icon to get the format option it is not responding?me.More i tried in windows explorer also there also it is not responding to my instructions. So please suggest me which?antivirus will resolve my problem.
Even i dont know how to upload my firmware..Can u suggest the site where that firmware will be available for me in free of cost. I need help please call me 996957368

rusaus: I'm guessing there aren't a lot of MuVo? owners here. You could try the manual (which you can download here I think), or ask the same question over at JumpingCholla's Usenet server which definitely has some MuVo? owners.

  • Lost CD of creative MuVo V100 2GB

I lost my CD of my MuVo V00 2GB. I need the Creative Media Explorer where you can transfer songs to the player and set the order of the songs. Is there a download for it's My firmware is .05.0e. I already looked here http://support.creative.com/Products...ame=MP3+Player but the software I need is not listed there.
    Thanks in advance

Re: Lost CD of creative MuVo V00 2GB8 The software is at FileSavr file hosting.
This is the creative labs software for the Muvo mp3 player. This version will work for Windows XP. I did not upload these to infringe on any copyrights, I uploaded them so that people who have lost their Muvo software for XP can reclaim it. The version of the software on this site is for Vista only.
    Here are the files:
    http://www.filefactory.com/file/a0456f/n/muvo_exe
    another version:
    http://www.filefactory.com/file/a045...o_software_nbi
The first is a winraw file. Put it on your hard dri've, extract, and it should install. The second version is for folks who have nero. Download it, burn it onto a CD, then instal it from the CD. Either way, if anyone finds this useful, I strongly suggest you burn a copy and save it for yourself. The files will only stay on the site as long as people keep downloading them. Once the files are gone from the site, that's it. I will not upload them again.

  • Creative MuVo V100

    Hello,
My uncle gave me a as a gift, but it didn't come with the installtion CD. Is it possible to download the installer for the Creative MuVo Explorer? I have seen the available installer on the downloads page but that is not compatible for XP, which is the OS I am using.
    Thanks in advance.

? http://support.creative.com/Products...e=MP3+Players#? When you get to the downloads page for your player go to the(bottom left of page) MANUAL SELECTION BOX & choose your O.S. to find the MuVo200 pack. click on the SHOW DETAILS & READ THEM before downloading to computer. Note any REQUIREMNETS.

  • Creative MuVo V100 2GB - USB 1.1 only!

I recently purchased a 2GB MuVo V00 player in the US. Although both Creative's website and the retail box claim it had USB 2.0 connectivity, when connected to my laptop (which is USB 2.0 enabled) it showed the speed of USB ., which is times slower! It take over hour to fill it up with songs or files. How can it be that a reputable company has false specifications claims everywhere on this product!

Hello everyoneHere's the message I just sent to Catherina about this lie on the V00 (usb 2.0)in red i put a new comment that is not in the original mail?Hello CatherinaI'm a happy user of the Creative Muvo N200 and I decided to buy a Muvo V00 2go to my girl friend ... but .... what a sad surprise when I saw the speed of the V00.
Don't lie to me, I saw all the posts on the Internet about this issue with NO answer of Creative [color="#ff0000"](except saying : "it's probably a computer problem, look at?your driver" and else?... I'm not a beginner on computers and I've got a? TX 52, Muvo N200 go, Muvo V200 256mo and I HAD NO PROBLEM AT ALL WITH THEM on HP and Toshiba laptops except this V00!!!)
I think, as a represtentati've of Creative, you have to answer to everyone clearly about this factIf V00 is USB2 as Creative says, transfer must be quicker. For the same folder size (00mb for ex) it takes about 4.5x much more time to copy on a V00 than a V200 or N200.
That is really UNACCEPTABLELast thing, I don't see on the support the V00 product choice (only the v200). Why ?Thanx for your time and your answer to me and all the customersSincerely,M. PireddaMessage Edited by spiredda on 2-0-200708:49 AM

  • Muvo V100 - battery - rechargeable or

    Hi
can anyone tell me what the battery is on the Muvo. I dont have access to a computer and my mate will put the songs onto it
    is it rechargeable?
an i use standard AAA batteries?
Can i use rechargeable AAA batteries from a seperate battery charger or do I have to charge via the computer?
    thanks

The battery you is alcaline, it's not rechargeable. You can use any of AAA batteries: that cheap, alcaline, rechargeable. You will need to buy a recharger as the player itself can't recharge batteries through USB or in other way.

  • Creative MuVo V100 showing "no music" in disp

Hello. Newbie here, just bought this today and I have loaded it up using the software provided. But when I remove the media storage and plug it back into the player, it displays "no music". Can someone help? I have looked everywhere online and the user manual is totally useless. I put the removable media back into my pc and it shows as dri've F: and shows to be full of music (mp3s). What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

haha - I kept poking around and finally solved the mystery! So disregard... found my music! Sorry to bother...... but I learned something at least!:smileyvery-happy:

  • Need battery cover for muvo tx fm mp3 play

Absentmindidly while changing the aaa battery, I thought that I could use the tab on the battery cover to dig out the battery. Of course it broke!?How would I get a new battery cover? I'm hoping to get the metallic blue cover, but anything would do.
Nothing on ebay and customer support isn't working.
    Any ideas?

To transfer files from a CD... I place the cd in tray, close it, open Creative MediaSource Organizer and rip the CD...now what are my settings? I have it set on WMA Stereo, DRM enabled, 28 Kb
    ps.
Rip the tracks I want to my PC Music Library. Insert my mp3 player (hard calling it that as it yet has to play a track of anything), and set the Muvo TX FM as the destination source and transfer files. After transfer, close all windows, open My Computer, open Dri've F and there are my tracks...yeah, but wait. I safely remove hardware, and insert it into player and attempt to turn it on...3 seconds later...denied. SIGH. Okay, reinsert player, open Di've F...ohh surprise..not formatted. Click on my exe. with latest driver (see original post), reinstall original driver again. Reformat again using FAT not FAT32 per tech support. Safely remove hardware. Insert into player, turn on...yeah turns on, no music, but can access FM..okay so not a TOTAL waste of $$$. Reinsert into computer, open my computer, dri've F, empty file. It's recognized and formatted. OPen Creative MediaSource Organizer...transfer files..no error messages..repeat....repeat...repeat. Same result. Should I try FAT32? Should I try to rip a cd w/o using DRM enabled? Does the LCD screen need to come on when in usb port? I have not tried to rip CD's using WMP0 yet as CMsO came with the player. Is it better?Message Edited by drewj28 on 09--2006 09:38 PM
