Creative Suite 2 - upgrade required

I am using a Power Mac G5 - running OS 10.5 Lopard. I have Creative Suite 2 and want to upgrade to 5 if I can or CS4 if not!
I can download these or buy second hand discs!
How much will an Install / Licence cost?
Thanks in advance.

I don't follow. Used licenses have nothing to do with Adobe beyond the license transfer. The rest is between and the seller. Adobe only sells current versions, in which case none of this is relevant, anyway. you are long beyond any upgrade cycles and can only buy a fresh license. That said, none of what you are trying to do really makes sense. The last version that fully supported PPC was CS3, in CS4 only Photoshop, illustrator and InDesign support it still and in CS5 only intel Macs are supported. If you were to spend any money, buying an affordable new computer would be almost inevitable to actually run your then to be new software...

  • Adobe Creative Suite upgrade to OS 10.56 from 10.39

I have Adobe Creative Suite 1 Standard on my Powerbook G4 10.39. I have bought a Macbook Air and I use OS 10.56 on it. I found this page on Apple where I can buy an upgrade for Creative Suite 4. However, I don't know whether I can do that on my computers.
    http://store.apple.com/ca/product/TW594LL/A
The system requirements say the OS has to be 10.4 - 10.54. Does this mean I can't upgrade CS either on my Powerbook or on the Macbook Air?
I really want the CS4 on the Macbook Air. That is more important than doing the upgrade on the Powerbook as I do not use the Powerbook much anymore.
If it is possible to put the upgrade on Macbook Air, how do I do that? Do I put the Creative Suite 1 on the MBA first, and then download the upgrade?

    System Requirements:
PowerPC G5 or multicore Intel processor
    Mac OS X v10.4.11 through v10.5.4
Java Runtime Environment 1.5 required for Adobe Version Cue Server
1GB of RAM or more recommended
10.3GB free hard-disk space for installation; additional hard-disk space required during installation (cannot install on a volume that uses a case-sensitive file system or on flash-based storage devices)
1024x768 display resolution (1280x800 recommended) with 16-bit video card
Some GPU-accelerated features require graphics support for Shader Model 3.0 and OpenGL 2.0
    DVD-ROM drive
QuickTime 7.4.5 software required for multimedia features
Broadband Internet connection required for online services
Your MacBook Air meets or exceeds these requirements so you should be OK. You PB G4 doesn't, either by hardware or OS.

  • Adobe Creative Suite upgrade for 3.3

I cannot figure out how to upgrade the Creative Suite. I have CS3 & an upgrade 3.3 for the whole package, but all I have on the DVD is ADOBE ACROBAT 9 PRO
    It shows 4 folders
    ADOBE ACROBAT 9 PRO
    APPLICATIONS
    READ ME
    EXTRAS
Where is the download for the Creative Suite. I did download ADOBE ACROBAT 9 PRO

    Cara,
As Bob says. Do not delete/uninstall your original CS3 installation -- although you don't need Acrobat 8 installed anymore after you install 9.
For software as for any other significant purchase, always carefully research, read and understand before you buy.

  • Creative Suite Upgrade?

I just found out that Adobe had a deal last month where you could upgrade any copy of Creative Suite from CS3 and up. Is that deal still available?

No. You can however get intro pricing to Creative Cloud. First year is
    $29.99/month.

  • Creative Suite Upgrade Question

Once I upgrade my Creative Suite to CC, do I need to uninstall all the CS6 programs from my system or leave them?

    Hi ccapers,
Your existing Creative Suite installation will not be affected by installing the new CC applications. For example, you can install and use both Photoshop CS6 and Photoshop CC on the same computer.

  • Creative Suite Upgrade?  US vs UK?

I currently have the Studio 8 suite.
Why is the upgrade to Creative Suite $499.00 in the US but,
    in the UK, is
    £540.00??
Can I simply purchase a US upgrade? What about if I was in
    the states and
brought the software back with me?
I find this pricing most confusing and, to be honest, a
    little bit of a rip
off. US customers are being asked to pay half the price UK
    customers are
being asked to pay? That doens't seem right to me.
    Nath.

Hi, Phew, not just me having a rant then!
I've signed that petition. What a rip off!
Me thinks, however, that it will be a case of "take it or
    leave it"....and
small businesses will suffer. Given that Adobe are, in their
    pricing,
considering the cost of doing business in the UK, are they
    then ignoring the
fact that it also costs ME money to run my business in the
    UK? The smaller
the business, the larger the impact of Adobe's inflated UK
    pricing.
    Nath.
PS. Does Fireworks have a "dashed line" tool yet! (one for
    regular readers
    there!)

  • Why is my Creative Suite Program requiring Windows to run?

I purchased the Creative Suite Student & Teachers Edition today.  The download just finished, and when I tried to open the program, it displayed an error and said that I couldn't open the program because it required Windows to run and I'm on a Mac.  When I purchased Lightroom a few weeks ago, there was a separate download option for Mac's, but I can't seem to find that on the Creative Suite.  Does anyone know anything about this?

Contact support if you have been given a wrong platform download link. Otehrwise you can use the trial version and activate it with your serial.

  • I currently have CS 5.5 Maser Suite Collection, I will be upgrading my computer from PC to Mac laptop and Mac desktop... What would be my best option regarding Creative Suite upgrading?

    Hi
I currently run CS 5.5 Master Suite Collection.
I plan to upgrade my computing platform from being a PC laptop, to a combination of a Mac laptop and a Mac desktop.
Can you please advise on the best fit in terms of upgrade for my Adobe Suite? Do I need two purchases, one for laptop, one for desktop? Or will one purchase cover both?
Can I be logged into both laptop and desktop att the same time? For example using one to work on Photoshop while the other renders video and animation in AfterEffects and Premiere?
would I need to install each component on each platform, or can I have a common set up easily rolled out?
    Cheers

Normally one purchase is good for two machines, but that is under the condition that only one machine is using the purchased software (the suite in this case) at any given time.  If you intend to be using the suite on two machines simultaneously then you will need two licenses (or subscriptions, depending how you upgrade).

  • Cannot install cs 5.5 design premium creative suite upgrade

It took many many hours and attempts to download the software-I was very  unhappy about that and not it will not install. I have the student/teacher version. I restarted and still get this error message and I canont install the upgrade. If this cannot be upgraded from cs 5.0 to cs 5.5, , I would like a refund please.
There currently are no phone oeprators available for service, but there was always one for sales. This is very upsetting.

  • CS5 creative suite upgrade

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has upgraded to CS5 running on an iMAC with only 2GB's of RAM? If so, how is it working for you? Fast, slow??
    Thanks!
    Dawn.

    Hi Bob,
I'm running on an iMAC 2ghz intel core duo. My applications I'm using are Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver. I would upgrade my RAM to 4GB but my iMAC only accepts up to 2GB. Don't know why apple made it that way.
    Thanks,
    Dawn.

  • I have Adobe Creative Suite 5 Design Premium (Teacher and Student Edition.  I've purchased the upgrade to Adobe Photoshop CS6 - Trying to install, but it says my serial number is invalid?

I have Adobe Creative Suite 5 Design Premium (Teacher and Student Edition).  I've purchased the upgrade to Adobe Photoshop CS6 - Trying to install, and it says the Adobe CS6 is valid - but only provides 'photoshop' options for entering my old serial number, rather than the adobe creative suite. How do I move past this so I can download it on my computer.  I don't want to upgrade to Adobe Creative Suite 6 - as I do not need all the programs, just photoshop.  From looking online, I read forums that said this was possible.  Please advise

I don't want to upgrade to Adobe Creative Suite 6 - as I do not need all the programs, just photoshop.
Unfortunately that option is not possible.
You cannot upgrade a Creative Suite to a standalone product.
Creative Suites can only be upgrades to other Creative Suites.
You'll need to return Photoshop CS6 upgrade since you cannot use it.
Return, cancel, or exchange an Adobe order
    Some options:
Buy a Creative Suite upgrade, or
Buy a full new copy of Photoshop CS6, or
    Join the Cloud

  • Can't install Illustrator from Creative Suite (serial number not recognized)

Years ago, I bought the first Creative Suite (upgrade). Illustrator was working fine on my old computer. Since then, I've upgraded Photoshop and Dreamweaver individually (I didn't upgrade Creative Suite).
Now I need to install Illustrator on my new computer, but the installation fails:
    (1) I tried to install Illustrator separately (from the Illustrator setup.exe file on the disks) and I input the only serial number I have (which is for Creative Suite) and get a "this isn't an Illustrator serial number".
    (2) I tried to install Creative Suite but it prompts me for the location of Photoshop ... an OLDER version of Photoshop. I've got Photoshop CS5, but the installation correctly says that isn't an earlier version.
I believe I purchased my first Photoshop in 1997-ish. Do I really have to start from the beginning and install EVERY VERSION of Photoshop that I ever bought/upgraded in order to install Illustrator from the CS upgrade disk?
I tried looking for an Adobe phone number, but no joy.

    > Which versions of which software do you have exactly?
    Have, or installed?
I have Photoshop LE, Photoshop 4.1 (I think it was -- the first version with layers), Photoshop 5.5, Photoshop 6, Creative Suite, Photoshop CS2, and Photoshop CS5.
After I purchased Creative Suite, I just wanted to upgrade the individual programs rather than the whole Creative Suite. However, I believe I purchased upgrades all along the way.
For Dreamweaver (though not the issue here), I started with the Macromedia programs, so the upgrade line started 'way back at Macromedia (and the installation of Adobe DW upgrades requires live tech support; unfortunately, as I can no longer find a phone number for Adobe, I guess I'd better hope nothing ever happens).
Anyway, does that help? You can see why I don't want to reinstall all those versions just to install Illustrator.
    (And thanks for your help.)

  • Are My Adobe creative Suite installation disks dated 3/05 still installable? How?

When I try to install this in my new apple laptop I receive a error message  "Power pc applications are no longer supported".
    What is my alternative?

I am sorry Peg but the system requirements for Creative Suite 2 require a PowerPC processor.  Without Rosetta it will be impossible for you to utilize the software on your new Intel processor based Macintosh.

  • Suitable Creative Suite Package for PC

    Dear all,
I need some help as I am a bit clueless.
I am thinking of buying a Creative Suite package for my PC but wondering if any will work with my system spec which is as follows:
Intel Core 2 Duo Processor 2 GHZ
    Running on Windows Vista
    Memory 4 GB RAM
    32 bit operating system
    Hardisk memory 456GB
Any thoughts as to what creative system will work on this system?
I beleive Creative Suite 6 requires a lot more power?

CS6 may not be supported officially on Vista, but most apps will work just fine on your system - that is the ones that are 32bit. Should you need After Effects, Premiere Pro and a few otehrs, those will be missing, as they are only 64bit. Which suite you get will of course depend on what you do, but as per your own observation, using any of the current Adobe apps on a system like yours won't be the most enjoyable experience. They will run, but due to the shortage of RAM and your weak processor you may notice considerable lag in some of them. Also, for Photoshop and others GPU acceleration via your graphics hardware may not be available depending on what card or shipset you use. So in summary: It won't be impossible, just not necessarily fun.

Under this address, CC has been purchased in July  21st, 2014, that is the reason it is not allowing further purchase as under one Adobe ID, only one subscription of CC( Individual, single app, Team) can be activated & used.
