Creative Suite 3 software authorization number

When I try to launch my Creative Suite 3 software on my new computer, it asks me for an authorization number which I originally obtained via telephone. Now this service is unavailable and I don't have the box with the authorization code. What can I do? I have my serial number and activation number ... Please help!

    I just got a new computer with Vista (64bit). I successfully installed Creative Suite 2--it accepted my serial number initially--but now when I go to open any of the programs, I get the prompt for name, company, and serial number. Each time, my serial number is rejected as invalid. (I've checked many times, and I'm positive I'm entering the correct serial number.)
    I'm fine with purchasing the upgrade to 4, but I'm concerned that I'll buy it and it won't work. I assumed I would need to install 2 on my machine before I could upgrade, which is why I did it--even though I've read about problems running 2 on Vista.
    Should I go ahead and get the Creative Suite 4 upgrade--and troubleshoot at that point if I have problems? I'm just worried about losing all that money if it doesn't work!

    The above references XP64 but also applies to Vista 64.
    But you do not have to have CS2 installed to upgrade to CS4. Just have the disks and serial number handy. If you do upgrade make sure you install in the default location.

  • I purchased the Creative Suite 6 software in August. I just suscribed to cloud & DW won't download?

    I purchased the Creative Suite 6 in August  -  the Design & Web Premium software package.
    However, I can not get the animation I made in Edge Animate into the website I made in DW CS6.
    I was told I could only accomplish this with the Cloud subscription.  
    I am a student,  My final web site project is due Monday.  I need to insert the Edge Animation I have made into my DW CS6 website.  
    Since the Edge Animation Insert update to DW CS6 is only available to Cloud Subscribers,  I purchased the monthly subscription today.  
    However,  Creative Cloud will not download Dreamweaver CS6 to my computer because it is already downloaded.   (my store purchased version)
    How do I get access to the Cloud Version of DW CS6  (the updated version with the Insert Edge Animation update)?
    And,  still have access to my store purchased DW CS6 that is already downloaded on my computer.

    There is no such thing. Only one version of DW CS6 can exist at any given time. The cloud version will simply replace your otehr version. Do a Help --> Deactivate, then run the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool and elt AAM reinstall everything.

    I have the discs from when I purchased creative suite 3. The serial number is registered to me. I recently bought a macbook pro. I would like to get my creative suite over to the new computer. Any suggestions on how to do that?

    Just install the application from the discs and use the serial number to activate.  You are allowed to have two machines with activated installations if you wish to keep both working.  If you wish to free up the extra activation then open an application on the old machine and choose Help -> Deactivate.

    Well, it's a different world out there.
    Some years ago, I did a report on the death spiral of the CD/record stores. The electronic delivery system was taking over and people were finding that downloading .mp3 files for their digital players was more than just a little adequate. And it was cheaper.
    The only stores I have seen selling boxed software are Wal-Mart and the Apple Store. And I have to wonder how many of those boxes Apple actually sells out of their store—I've always seen them as being more an indication that Apple computers run all sorts of software for everyone's needs than an offer to sell. And Apple sells everything at the MSRP—no discounts. Adobe's download or Cloud policy will end store discounting of their software, and most of that is from the various online stores like PC Connection and The Software Tech Store.
    I wonder if they'll collect Connecticut sales tax, which is 1% for digital downloads…

    I have migrated from my old mac to my new mac, but adobe creative suite wants my serial number. Problem is on the original box or disc I can't find it anywhere. Is there another way to retrieve it off my old computer before I wipe if clean? Can adobe give me the serial number if I give them proof of purchase or box number/barcode? I bought the disc 2 years ago from a retailer. Any help would be great if Adobe staff can contact me?

  • Activation server shut down for Creative Suite 2, Acrobat 7, and Macromedia products

    Effective December 13, Adobe disabled the activation server for CS2 products and Acrobat 7 because of a technical glitch. These products were released over 7 years ago and do not run on many modern operating systems. But to ensure that any customers activating those old versions can continue to use their software, we issued a serial number directly to those customers.  While this might be interpreted as Adobe giving away software for free, we did it to help our customers.
    If your software is affected by the activation server shut down then you will receive an error that the Activation server is unavailable.  The specific affected products are as follows:

    EN version is not so eaqual in all with CZ version, I have PREMIUM one, not Standard.
    So I download these EN versions and Acrobat 7Pro separately.
    It look that it works, I have it installed on my presentation laptop. I ussualy work on PC and laptop is for bussines trips mostly.
    When I was working on my PC I found in menu one interesting option. I have installed CS2 in 2010 so it works OK, still in CZ. What I found in menu is called "Licence Transfer".
    I didnt try it because I dont want to loose my activation on PC, but could you please say to me what does this option means?
    Is it possible to copy licence on flash disk and use it on laptop, but it still be in PC also? Or it is only for deactivation, so you will loose it, and after this you can do new activation (which is impossible by server shut down)?
    And one question to the end, if I buy some later version like CS4 or CS5 (from some graphic studio which have one licence to sell-transfer) so do Adobe plan to shut down server too, for CS4, CS5 or after this non user/customer friendly solution (I mean for CS2) will Adobe do some application which we can install on our local PC and this app will say to CSxx "Your licence is OK, just continue in work" ?? --- this would be much better, I think if Adobe do this so it will be the same like no-activation versions in EN only but without so many complains and impacts on your customers.

  • Cannot unistall creative suite 2

    I have just installed the new cs5 programs, so I would like to get rid of the old cs2 versions that are on my computer. The creative suite 2 was never fully installed due to some errors, but the programs still appear in the adobe folder and they still try to open even when I am trying to open the new cs5 version. I tried going to "uninstall program" in the control panel, but when I click on "uninstall/change creative suite 2," I get the following message:
    "Installation cannot continue until all adobe creative suite applications are fully closed. This includes adobe acrobat, which may be running in the background. Please close all your applications and restart your computer to continue with installation."
    Acrobat is never running when this prompt comes up, and I have tried restarting the computer to no avail. I also get the same prompt when I try to finish fully installing the creative suite 2 software. I am at an impasse. Any help would be greatly appreaciated. Thanks.

    All Adobe products (Flash, Acrobat/Reader, Photoshop, Creative Suites, etc.) leave a VERY pervasive footprint on your hard drive. Addobe Cleaner Tool only works for CS 3 and newer; do not know how effective MS Cleanup Tool is. Here is a way to manually clean everything up. I did this 4 weeks ago and everything works flawlessly now.
    SOLUTION (not easy, but it works):
    Before doing anything, make document and any database/presets/cache back-ups beforehand (keep notes on their designated location*); manually create a System Restore point. (Be prepared to restore or reinstall Windows if necessary - I did not have to do either.)
    Completely and meticulously eradicate (clean) your hard drive of ALL Adobe programs [uninstall, remove remaining folders, and remove only the registry entries that have the Adobe name attached (unless you are an expert and fully understand the other entries)].     Do a Custom/Manual reinstall of all your Adobe products *in order of release dates* (OLDEST first).... do not include Reader, Flash, etc. If your CD will not automatically run at this point, click "Open folder to view files" (use Computer/Windows Explorer, if necessary). Click "Adobe Creative Suite (or your desired program) ==> Setup.exe" (IMPORTANT: Make sure that Reader, Flash, etc. are unchecked.)
    After each of your desired Adobe programs are installed, test to insure they boot up. Then download the latest Reader, Flash, etc. apps and install them (I did this in order of release date - oldest first). Do test boot(s) again.
    Copy/Paste your document and any database/presets/cache back-ups into the appropriate folders (*this will vary depending on your programs and your filing system).

    My question should be obvious:
    Which is it?
    Does the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool apply to Adobe Creative Cloud or to the shipped version or to all listed in the first paragraph?
    This is another example of why SO MANY OF US are so frustrated by your support.
    Please answer the question without a link to another article with contraditions or, for that matter, any article.
    It's a simple question.

    i have a user that run the creative suite cs6 software and after a few hours of using the software the machine becoming slower and slower.
    she as to close some software or reboot the machine to be able to work again with adecent speed.

    We cannot know. You are not telling us anything about the machine, what programs, what steps. Sorry, but just calling it a memory leak doesn't make it so and without an exact scenario to reproduce, this is pretty useless. In fact this could be just as well a generic system issue with swap space filling up, graphics card buffers not flushing, clipboard data accumulating or the system continualyl covering your behind by handling driver crashes quietly, but remnants of this obstructing operations. And then of course the usual - security tools blocking stuff, network access exhausting bandwidth and what have you. Otherwise of course any program can bring even the most powerful computer to its knees, if a user uses "bad" settings liek excessive History in Photoshop, but we realyl need a lot more details before we can even begin to take even a guess...
