Creative Suite 5.5 Production Premium Disk space and Permission Errors

Win7 clean install, Dual Core 3.0, 4gigs ram, Audigy Sound Card, nvidia 8800 GT video card, 600 gig HD space, no anti virus, no firewall, no other programs installed.
Download manager and alteritive method both result in extration error " A problem occured while extracting some files. Check avaibile diskm space on your computer and write priveleges on destination folder ". A whole week of trying to sort this out but no joy. Adobe tech says D/L file directly to C: trying that now but has anyone else had this problem? Thanks

D/L from another location and onto different computer, extracted the 
file with Winrar from the root drive not from a user account and Bingo 
not corrupt files.Then moved then to the host machine and installation 
work perfectly.  That took a week and a bit to figure and I hope 
others can benefit from my experience.  ( In Adobe Ninerva now ! )

    We cannot know. Your information is hugely insufficient. Check Your Windows Event Viewer and tell us the "fault module" plus provide detailed specs for your computer. Runtime errors usualyl mean that A DLL is missing, a security tool is blocking critical functions or that the processor is not compatible in teh first place. Just as well this could be a driver issue with your SATA bus or whatever.

    I have a fully registered copy of Creative Suite 5.5 Production Premium installed on my desktop.  I now have a faster laptop...CAN I INSTALL IT ON IT TOO!  Some software can be installed on two computers...is this the case with this one?

    Actuellement travailleur independant (domicile) mais souhaitant l'année prochaine prendre de nouveaux locaux, ajouter (peut-être) des machines de travail (PC) je bosse sur mac et surtout embaucher une personne (et donc avoir a plus ou moins long terme besoin d'autres licences)
    je souhaiterais un conseil avisé pour l'acquisition de la suite 5.5 Production Premium : quelle licence acheter sous quel statut ?? travailleur a domicile (et donc choisir de suite la plateforme pc ou mac (peut etre est il possible d'avoir les versions pc et mac si elles ne sont pas utilisées en meme temps ??)

    Le numéro de licence que vous achetez est spécifique pour la plateforme (Mac ou PC) et pour la langue du programme.
    Par exemple, vous ne pouvez pas utiliser un numéro de licence pour la version Mac sur une installation PC.
    Par contre, il est bon de savoir que vous pouvez installer votre programme avec le même numéro de licence sur votre ordinateur de bureau et votre ordinateur portable si ce sont 2 macs ou 2 pcs...
    Vous pouvez aussi regarder du côté de la "location" de programmes. Une nouveauté introduite depuis la dernière version. C'est intéressant pour un dépannage sur un ou deux mois par exemple ; mais je vous le déconseille fortement pour une location à l'année.

    I am interested in purchasing the Student Edition of Creative Suite Production Premium CS 5.5 but I'd like to clarify the licensing terms before I do. I intend to install it both on a laptop and a desktop which I know is fine with the commercial licensing, however I got a bit confused when looking at the education section where is says 'may only be used on the students privately owned computer' (or something similar!)
    Does this mean you only get one license per computer with the student edition, as opposed to one license per person or can I still install the student version on my laptop AND desktop?

    No, you still have 2 activations. The licensing model is no different than for the commercial version. It just adds this extra stipulation on top of it.

  • Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Production Premium: Number of DVD discs and content

    I am currently trying to source Adobe CS 5.5 Production Premium second hand. Is anybody able to tell me the number of discs (DVD's) this package is on. I thought it was four, but may be incorrect. I am concerned of buying from someone not having all the discs. I am refering to the full retail version for UK (European) if that makes any difference.
    Could anybody please clarify this and ideally what they are (Application Disc 1, etc...)

    Yes, I realise ordering replacement media would require a valid license. It was my intention to purchase this product second hand, used, not new... The intention being to save vital money. As I stated, my concern was that I had found this product with only three discs and believed there should be four. However, you suggest it should come with three, so it may just be my mistake:
    Application Disc 1, Application Disc 2, Application Disc 3 (or whatever they are called)
    + Bonus disc with x86 versions of older products NOT included in x86 versions in CS5.5 (or something like that)

    No point. Serial numbers are platform specific. You simply cannot use your serial number on Mac. You have to upgrade to CS6 and make the platform switch.

  • Creative Suite 5.5 Production Premium Installation

    Hello, I have been running into some problems when trying to install this product from the disk. I followed the instructions by inserting disk 1. The window pops up and says "Initializing Installer." But when the progress bar reaches the end, nothing happens. The window closes and nothing else pops up. The instructions say that a window asking for my authentication key should pop up, but it doesn't. Please help!!

    Okay, Bob is right. I mixed up that thing with that 20% promo and didn't look up the prices. Apologies if this caused confusion... Other than that being leftovers or not updated prices from the previous 50% "switch to Premiere Pro" promo, I have no rational explanation for the prices, but anything is possible. The US markets are much more flexible and volatile than the rigid pricing here in Europe...

  • Can I download Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium on a new Mac if I've had it installed on my old one since December 2011? I have the product key and serial number.

    I bought a new Macbook Pro 13 inch in December 2011 and I bought the Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium shortly after and installed it on the computer.  The other day my friend spilled his drink on my computer and it is now going to cost me $800 to get it fixed so I am considering getting a new one instead of getting mine fixed I'm not sure if the memory is still ok or not either.  It didn't get that wet and Apple told me it is more than likely ok but there is no guarantee that they are going to keep the memory when they fix it.  So I was wondering if I get a new one if I can install the Suite on the new one I still have the product key and serial number for the Suite.  Or if I decide to get mine fixed and the memory is swept, then can I reinstall it on mine after it is fixed?  If anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated!!! Thank You

    I purchased Adobe Creative Suite 6: Design & Web Premium (software download card), the download package appeared on my destop. Then the zip files: Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design & Web Premium MAC.zip and Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design & Web Premium MAC.zip.cpzg. Whenever I click to unzip once it finishes it goes away and nothing happens. I've searched my computer for the files and the Adobe Creative Suite 6 application, but I can't find anything.

    try removing the file extension and just leaving the zip.

    Hi guys
    Hope someone can advise.
    I'm installing Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design & Web Premium Education Edition and it's just waiting at 61% 'Currently installing Acrobat X Pro! It's been stuck at this point for about 30 minutes.
    I'm reluctant to click the Cancel button but might be forced to How can I overcome this problem?
    My computer is a Sony Duo 13 running Windows 8.1 Pro.

    An Update:
    After 86 minutes, I clicked the Cancel button and waited and waited and you've guessed it, waited some more - probably another 30 minutes and nothing happened! Had to uninstall from the Control Panel as best I could.
    Just wondering if there's an updated installer/software version I could download - my version is probably a year or more old!

    Now I'll need to find a way of getting Acrobat Pro installed - maybe updating the Adobe applications will help.
