Creative Suite 6 installation stuck on windows 7

Bought creative suite 6 Design and Web Premium and started the installation on windows 7
Went with default installation and selected all (default)..  After around 20 min or so
it keeps accessing CD drive while installing acrobat X.   Looks like it got stuck..  Waited for
several min and I had to shut down the PC.
Started another installation and now de-selected acrobat and see how it goes..  need to
wait for an hour I guess to see whether it will be successful
Any knows issues.  BTW this PC is isolated for photo processing only.. and I connect to internet while
uploading my photos.  So it has an old ver of Windows 7 and I do not update windows 7 since I want to keep
this PC virus free..
Thx
Ramesh

Are you running Windows 7 or Windows 7 Service Pack 1?  In addition to running the cleaner tool I would also recommend reviewing your installation log files.  You can find details on how to locate and interpret the log files at Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cs5-cs5.html.

I want to do a clean install of Windows 7 Pro on my computer and my installation of Adobe Design Premium CS3 is not functioning. I cannot start it to get in and deactivate the Creative Suite installation.

if you're using the same computer hardware to reinstall your cs3, you don't need to deactivate first.
but if there's a significant hardware change you can ask adobe support for an activation count reset. contact adobe support by clicking here and, when available, click 'still need help', https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html

I have a Student license for Creative Suite 5.5 for WINDOWS. Is there a way to transfer it to MAC?
As I'm satisfied with what I've got. I would like to avoid purchasing a new license for almost exactly the same thing.

    Hi Sven,
    Welcome to Adobe Forum,
    Please delete the C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Local\Adobe\AAMUpdater directory.
    Rename the C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE\OPM.db to OPM.old
Then please try reopening your web browser and downloading and installing the Creative Cloud application fromhttps://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud.
    Or you can try:
Until this gets sorted out, here are the Creative Cloud direct download links...  As/when needed, you can use these to download the Windows or Mac OS installers for any CC program without using the Adobe Desktop App manager.
Please refer to : http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-creative-cloud-installation-download .html
    Hope it helps you.

  • Is adobe creative suite version1 compatible with windows 7

is adobe creative suite version1 compatible with windows 7

Unfortunately, while I imagine it could be made to run on Windows 7, you simply won't be able to activate it on the new system because Adobe has taken the activation servers offline.
For a while Adobe published a version of CS2 with a special no-activation serial number, specifically for folks who have run afoul of the activation server problem, and at first it included users of CS and CS2.  Unfortunately, the language of that page has changed to make it clear that only licensed users of CS2 may take advantage of the download.
You can judge for yourself here:

No, CS2 does not qualify for a platform swap.  Only the most recent version (CS6) qualifies.

You cannot install CS5.5 Windows onto your Mac.
You must either purchase a new copy of CS6 for your Mac or join the Creative Cloud (and pay the monthly fee).
If you join the Cloud you can then install CS6 (and soon version CC) on both your Mac and Windows for the same membership fee.

    Hi management-2,
    Welcome to the Adobe Forums,
The best option would be upgarde to the present version as CS3 is not supported by Windows 7

  • Adobe Creative Suite 5 / Upgrade System Windows Vista to Windows 7

    Dear customer service,
I am a customer of Adobe as I bought two years ago the Adobe Creative Suite 5.
My system is still Windows Vista. Now I wanna buy the Microsoft Home Office 2013 and now I have to upgrade from
    Windows Vista to Windows 7.
My question is if there will be any problem with the Adobe Creative Suite 5? Or can I only put in the upgrade CD,
leave the Creative Suite on my pc and have nothing else to do than just installing?
    Thank you for your reply.
    With best regards,
    Nicole

Correct. You only need to run the CS5 installer and have to provide the pertinent serial numbers in the process. Just make sure you run Help --> Deactivate bevor nuking your Vista install and reformatting your drive. If there are issues during the install, ask in the Download, Install & Setup forum.

  • Problem Deploying Creative Suite 5.5 to Windows 7 64 Bit

    Hi,
I`ve been looking into deploying CS 5.5 Design Premium to our teaching machines for the last few days now.
Finding it very difficult to get the suite to deploy.
Have used the  Application Manager Enterprise Edition to package the software and then put this on our network.
I`m  then using windows group policy to deploy the software to our workstations.

    Hi Mike,
I'm also trying to deploy the package in an Education environment. So far we've worked out that the path tends to eat up quite a length and ideally should be reduced. Out deployment tool at the moment is Altiris, and there's a call in with them to fix a specific problem with that.
As a result we copy the package locally and install it from a slightly shorter directory structure. Also of note - to deploy and run the package:
You'll need to SHIM the java.cpl files and Adobe Extension manager exe, using the Application Compatibility Toolkit from Microsoft (or google Manifest + Windows 7). The SHIM fix you're looking for is RunAsInvoker as far as I can work out.
Unfortunately the package we've created still doesn't deploy 100%, the set-up.dat file deep inside the package seems to work and starts creating shortcuts etc but then fails at some point later in the installation. We're still investigating what's gone wrong as it then rolls everything back.

It says "display requirements not met", which means your screen resolution is either actually too small or misconfigured in such a way that the installer can't detect its settings...

  • Loading creative suite 4 on a windows 8 computer

I have adobe creative suite 4 and have obviously had it for several years.  I am borrowing a computer while mine is in repair and tried to install and got a message that the installer is corrupt. Could this be because this computer is using windows 8?

    no.
if using  cd, copy the install files to a desktop director and install from that directory.  otherwise, check the downloaded file sizes for corrupted downloads.

  • Creative Suite 5.5 for Windows

I have downloaded the Creative Suite 5.5. I have read the installation guide, started the installation, had serial number success, but EVERY time I try to install it will get to the item downloading as "AdobeHelp" and the % never changes but the minutes blow up from a mere 73 minutes to 6987 minutes! I have tried installing the entire CS 5.5 twice and it always hangs there (which is 10%) and then tried only installing components of it (Flash Pro & Photo Shop) and it hangs again on AdobeHelp (which is 24%). I downloaded yet the other support thing required (Adobe Support Advisor) only for it to run and say there were no installation problems and to contact technical support.
    Can anyone help?
I am at my wit's end. It shouldn't be this complicated to install software.
    2. If I call and cancel the download version and have them ship me the discs in a box will it fix this? Ugh.
I left it for 36 hours straight on a wired connection to no avail.
    Thanks in advance!

Wow. When I am not an "industry professional" or whatever your title is and when there isn't a "sticky" at the top of the forum (like other forums have) stating what specifics to provide, I thought someone merely may have run into the same problem as me. I didn't expect such a rude response. If someone can help without condescending tones, I would love a response from you all.
I am still attempting to install this on my pc. This computer has Windows 7. It is 64bit. I have downloaded all the files, attempted to install, removed the files, attempted again, numerous times. Regardless, it gets hung up on "AdobeHelp". I have tried installing the entire Suite as well as only Flash Pro & Photo Shop. I have been trying this for 3 days now. I don't know what other specs you all would need so if you reply kindly and tell me where to find it, I will provide it. I have done all the troubleshooting tips on Adobe's site and the last one stated to try this forum. Thus, the reason I am. It will go from a mere 16 minutes remaining to over 6,000. After 24 hours, it was still at the same % complete & the minutes continue to multiply.
So if you are a more positive person who is kind enough to provide guidance, I'd greatly appreciate it.

  • CS4 Creative Suite Installation Error

    Hello,
I am trying to install just the photoshop from the creative suite 4 (design premium) onto my windows 7 computer. The computer i'm installing it onto already has the illustrator, dreamweaver, indesign etc already installed from this suite (this was installed 1-2 years ago). At the time I installed these I had just photoshop 5 on the computer so didn't install the photoshop 4 from the suite. I have now uninstalled the photoshop 5 and put it onto a different computer. I now want to install the CS4 photoshop from the suite onto the computer with illustrator etc. I start the installation (just for photoshop from the suite) and it gets about 3/4 of the way through the first disc when an error message appears (see attached image). It says that the error is AdobeColorCommonSetRGB, Error: Error 2. I would prefer not to have to uninstall the entrie suite just to install the photoshop section of the creative suite, but will do this if required. I think I have completely unistalled the photoshop 5, but is there any way this may be preventing the cs4 photoshop from installing properly?
    Thanks,
    Shannon

I would run the Adobe Cleaner Tool
    http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html
    Then reboot. Then reinstall.

  • InDesign/Creative Suite Installation Problem

I just installed Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 to a new iMac, using the Adobe chat to assist. Both Photoshop and Illustrator open without any problems. But InDesign will not open. I did use the Mac Migration Assistant progrtam to move everything from my old iMac to a new iMac, which in hindsight I"m not sure I should have done. Any ideas on how I can get this resolved?

never migrate adobe products.  they should be properly installed.  http://prodesigntools.com/move-adobe-cs5-between-computers-or-windows-to-mac.html
undo everything you can, clean your computer and then properly install your software per http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html
