Creative Suite CS3 and InDesign CS4 Issues

Hi,
I'm hoping this is the right place to post. I installed parts of Creative Suite CS3 on my system (just the basics, PS, ID, Illustrator, etc.).
Later on I just got Photoshop CS4 and Installed that.
Now, months later, I want to instally the rest of CS 3 on my system, yet half way through Disk 1, it ejects the disk and asks me to install the InDesign CS4 disk. I don't have InDesign CS4! I did install the trial version but then uninstalled it.
Any ideas?

Uninstall anything CS4 (use Adobe's uninstaller; do not just drag to trash). Install your CS3 components; then install Photoshop CS4 again. It would seem there is either some dependence upon certain components shared by both versions; or maybe it's the way some data is transfered behind the scenes from one version to the other.
Remember to repair permissions and run DiskWarrior to fix any permissions, disk or directory issues that sometimes crop up.
On a slightly different note, on my well-maintained system, I had the Master Collection CS3 on my Mac; then installed the Master Collection CS4. When I recently decided to uninstall most of CS3 (per instructions), I found that for a few CS4 apps, I had to enter my password the first time I launched them. But Photoshop would tell me some scripts were missing, and the solution was to uninstall Photoshop CS4 and reinstall it.

I'm hoping someone can help me :S
I have designed a card measuring 210mm x 74mm. The printer has asked me to impose as head to head, 5mm double trims and bleed. I have no idea how to do this and seem to be wasting my time tring to google it. Trouble is I am trying to impose 4 pdf's into the 1 indesign file and when i export it as a pdf i can't see any trim mark/crop marks surrounding the edges of any of the 2 files (apart from the corners of the pages). I've probably just confused the hell out of you now but if you can help me I would really appreciate it. If I need to clarify anything please let me know.

No... if you do not have CS3 installed, you will enter your CS3 serial number when asked for proof of a qualifying product... and then you will enter your different CS5 serial number... every version, new or upgrade, has a unique serial number

Creative Suite 3 and InDesign

first of all, no experience with CS3 or InDesign. sorry.
i am a support technician. our graphics department just recieved new Dell 3007Wfp lcd monitors. when they use InDesign and maximize it, the document dissappears from the screen, and the background shows up in the application window. if they make the application smaller it displays the document correctly.
made the ie7.0 temporary files setting to 1024GB.
specifications
Dell T5400 Precision Workstations, windows xp pro
3.5Gb ram
150GB primary hard drive with 500GB secondary drives
Nvidia Quadro 1700 video card.
The creative suite has been fully updated, the video card and computer have been fully updated and the hard drive defragged.

there are 4 systems total, all same with t5400 and the 3007wfp.
they were using dual older dell 19" lcd that were only capable of analog singals. so a big change for them. they are not interested in going back to the 19s.
the video drivers are updated.
1 user is using current dell driver, 1 is using the nvidia driver.
the problem does appear to do this with the other portions of creative suite.
one of the systems hangs frequently, but the others dont. They didnt have this problem before the deployment of the monitors.
i found that system restore was turned on for these computers and turned them off.
increased the page file to 7.1GBs. on Bridge, increased the caches size to maximum. set the nvidia control panel to use the application settings for deciding on how to manage the 3d settings (closest i could get to hardware accelleration).
now, 2 are sort of behaving, but will drop minor things occassionally, like the user tried to put guides down and the first time it failed.
the 3rd is still not displaying menus or the documents when maximized. if i lower the resolution 1 lvl it works fine.
havent touched the 4th yet, leaving it as a control. might reattach the 19s. they also have lost the ability to print to a ps cmyk printer.

Installed, licensed, and working Creative Suite CS3 fails. How do I clean Adobe off my system for new installation?

I run Macbook Pro with Mavericks. I have a licensed copy of Creative Suite CS3 installed. It simply stopped working. InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator close upon opening. Tried repairing the installation, uninstalling, and reinstalling. Didn't work. The reinstallation did no provide an opportunity to enter the serial number. Tried CS5cleaner. Didn't work. It left the applications installed and deleted the uninstall application. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Creative Suite 6 and Lightroom 4 serial number issue

Hi my name is Teresa.
I bought the student edition Creative Suite 6 and Lightroom 4 a year ago through the bookstore of my university in CD download format and installed it in my desktop. I got the serial number through an email that they sent to my university email address. I must have deleted that email by mistake because I can't find it anymore. I didn't register the two softwares on my Adobe account so I can't see the serial numbers on that.
I just bought a laptop today and I want to install the same applications but not knowing the serial number, it is impossible to install. I contacted Adobe Customer Service but they kept referring me to another person to another person, and eventually wasted 3 hours without solving anything.
Is there anything I can do? I am in a puzzle. I need help now.
P.S. I have the exisiting softwares on my desktop but not on my laptop.

If support can't help you, then nobody can. We don't have access to their databases here. Still, try to contact them again and escalate this to the higher levels.

Installing older software,Illustrator CS3 and Indesign CS5, on new laptop

I've had to abandon my desktop as it was beyond repair and have tried to install Illustrator CS3 and Indesign CS5 (cds) on my laptop. I get a message saying that there was a problem with licensing. I own the software and can't find anyone to speak to at Adobe. What is the next step?

Current Status of Creative Suite 3 and Snow Leopard?

I currently have both CS3 Web Design Premium (which includes Photoshop) and Adobe InDesign CS3... both suites essentially comprising all the apps and features of the standard CS3 Suite plus web design.
I know this has been discussed before, but I am assuming that further additional testing and usage has continued... and problems are being solved or not. And in the end an overall opinion or judgment has been reached regarding upgrading Leopard to Snow Leopard. I've been waiting it out to see what the outcome would be.
My Mac is the intel chip 24" Alum. 3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Is the CS3 suite compatible with Snow Leopard? If not, what will be the cost or loss in terms of the applications? And, is it worth upgrading to it?
Experienced and knowledgeable feedback is very welcomed and appreciated.

Thanks.. have decided not to touch it. You make this kind of investment into software, you are not looking to have to compromise with erratic unpredictable software which in turn burns your time and patience.
Adobe's position is definitely unfortunate unfriendly and unappreciative. It's the arrogance towards what they have developed and a denial of the kind of investment it took to get into their software. The least they could have done was to offer a generous discount for upgrading.

CS 3 is sort of compatible, but if you are using CS 3 for your livelihood, then stay with Leopard.
For example, Photoshop CS 3 functions adequately for a time, but ultimately starts to show erractic errors, then crashes. Also, excessive memory usage builds the longer it is used.
Adobe has stated it only supports CS 4 and 5 with Snow Leopard. I doubt further modifications will be made by Adobe to CS 3 to iron out the Snow Leopard incompatibilities. Rather unfortunate position, and certainly not a customer friendly approach, especially for anyone investing over $1,000 for software only 3 years old.
To add further fuel to the fire, CS 3 apps now crash in 10.6.3 due to Serial Number/API changes, "unforseen" by all parties.

I have restarted the FLEXnet Licensing server but still get error when I attempt to open any cs3 app.

There's no 64 bit TWAIN so you need to use the 32-bit version of Photoshop. Personally I'd recommend that you use the scanner software as a standalone application and forget TWAIN, which is rapidly becoming obsolete and more or less abandoned everywhere. All it does is call up the very same scanner software, only from within the PS UI, and tying up Photoshop in the process.

Adobe creative suite cs3 design premium

I've recently bought the new macbook pro (10.9.2) and was wondering if the ADOBE CREATIVE SUITE CS3 DESIGN PREMIUM software would still work on the new laptop? If anybody could help me, it would be most appreciated.

I just had a look at some of the Adobe CS3 products at Roaring Apps (http://roaringapps.com/apps?index=a) and it seems that most of the apps in the CS3 Design Premium Suite will, surprisingly, work with Mavericks.
Not you'll just have to find a way to install it (unless you're restoring from a backup - in which case you'll probably still need your activation code).
