I am a Christian Preschool Art and Computer Arts Teacher (K4-Kindergarten and Elementary School age) and am the parent of two 10th grade high school students who attend a Technology Academy and are studying engineering/video gaming and architecture engineering/marketing. We are interested in purchasing Creative Suite for a variety of reasons but most importantly to assist in the various projects that each of my 10th graders work on at school. Im looking at purchasing the Creative Suite Teacher Student Edition and am wondering if we are eligible to purchase. Both of my children have school id's and whatever ids are necessary for verification. I have an Id from my school as well. Can this be presented at time of purchase at the store?

I'm not clear what you are saying here. Since for S&T versions registration is mandatory, you have a permanent serial on your account and those function just liek any normal serial number of a comemrcial package.

Adobe has announced the new Cloud-based model for software distribution, along with new terms for boxed product upgrade eligibility. Beginning with the CS6 releases, when they happen, upgrade pricing on boxed products will only be availble one generation back. Based on the current information we have (from the blog post), which may not be correct and which you should not rely upon:
There is some confusion about the word "discount." As used in the blog post, in general there are no "discounts" for upgrades, there is the upgrade price and there is full price. But, also in the blog post, there is a special "discount upgrade" if you choose to upgrade to CS5.5 today (prior to Dec. 31, 2011), which is 20% off the regular upgrade. However, Peter used the word "discount" to distinguish between upgrade pricing and full price. It's probably a good idea to avoid using that word there because of the potential for confusion.
I have CS5 InDesign in work. So I will be able to upgrade that to CS6 when it comes out at the discount price?
You will be able to upgrade to CS6 at upgrade pricing. Not the 20% discount, but it is "discounted" from the full price of CS6.
I'm still using CS2 Illustrator and Photoshop, for the little work I do in those programs, they're fine. But if I want to upgrade them to CS6 I have to pay the full amount of an upgrade, with no discount... or will I have to pay for CS6 in full for both of these programs?
You will have to pay the full price (not the "full amount of an upgrade," whatever that means).
If you elect to upgrade to CS5.5 prior to Dec. 31 of this year, however, then then you can pay the discounted upgrade price to upgrade to CS5.5 (well, CS5 since Photoshop CS5.5 doesn't exist), and then you can pay the CS6 upgrade price in March/April. So you can pay for no upgrades (full price) or two upgrades (one of which is 20% off).
At the moment I can upgrade CS2, photoshop and Illustrator for €240 each, to CS5. So wouldn't I just be able to do that now and then buy the CS6 upgrade at a much later date perhaps just before CS7 comes out?
Yes, you can do that.
If CS6 has the tools to basically go "File>Export>Epub" and I get a fully working epub file without having to trash about in code afterwards or make complex tagging in InDesign, then I'll be buying it.
It looks like EPUB is evolving pretty fast, so even if ID CS6 fully supports what you want out of EPUB on Day 1, I bet you'll need to be prepared to postprocess it on Day 2. Or at least long before Day 200.

But I thought that all of you who have posted requests to this wishlist might like to get specific responses to some of the items on this list.
First of all, though, I'd like to point out an innovative set of features that I think addresses a request that many of you have made... just not exactly as you asked for it. All of us have wanted a better way to see into and navigate among nested compositions (precompositions). The Composition Mini-Flowchart and Composition Navigator make moving around in a complex project much, much faster and easier. Telling you to see the
"Opening and navigating nested compositions" section isn't going to do this feature set justice. You'll only appreciate how slick this is when you get your hands on it.
Oh, and we reversed the behavior of double-clicking versus Option-double-clicking a precomposition layer: Now double-clicking opens the source composition in the Composition panel, not the precomposition layer in the Layer panel.

We've had features for using the pen dynamics with the paint tools for a while. See

Adobe Creative Suit 6 Design & Web Premium fulfilment online Problems???

Just bought the Adobe Creative Suit 6 Design & Web Premium and iv been trying to fill in the adobe student and teacher edition order fulfillment online but it doenst do anything when iv filled it out and pressed process???.... iv spoken to someone on the help chat thing but that wasnt really helpful as all i want to no is what do i do next?? How do i no if the information has gone through? I no that i need to wait to hear back and recive my serial number if it has, but while am waiting can i put the cd in as it says something about being able to do the 3o day trial while i wait?

You need to first confirm where you have purchased your Education version product from. If you have purchased the product from Adobe Online in US, you can send your Proof of Eligibility under "My Adobe" > "My Orders". There you will find the Order date, and once you click there, you will find the option called submit Proof. Click on this option and fill in all the details and attach the documents.
Secondly, if you have purchased the product from a reseller, it depends where you have purchased whether it is from your school or from a reseller and also it depends on the country from where you have purchased.

Creative Suite 2 to Creative Suite 4 Production?

Is it possible to upgrade from Creative Suite 2 Premium to Creative Suite 4 Production Premium? I couldn't find Creative Suite 2 Premium anywhere in the "upgrade eligibility" section.

I just dug out my old boxes. You're right! They did not use the word "Design" on the box -- but from the contents, that's what it was -- along with Macromedia Studio 8 products if you bought the Web bundle. But as no After Effects or Premiere, etc. was in the box, I'm not sure how this is going to sit with Adobe for a discounted upgrade.
Again, we're talking semantics. The definitive answer would have to come from Adobe customer service. Please get back to us after you call and let us know what they say.

One-year subscription Master Collection possible to upgrade to Creative Suite 6 Design & Web Premiu

I've read the FAQ and Forum but couldn't find a clear answer for what I was looking for.
I have a one-year subscription (Master Collection) for a few years, this was arranged with Slim.nl (Netherlands) that arranges student licensing. I've found out after these years that I actually use some software packages but not all. Creative Suite 6 Design & Web Premium fits my needs on this.
Today my license has been ended, year is over again (time goes fast).
My question:
Is it possible to upgrade from a one-year license to a upgrade home version of Creative Suite 6 Design & Web Premium.

Subscriptions/ Creative Cloud don't have any eligibility for standalone perpetual licenses. You use them as long as you pay and then it just stops. If you're still a student, simply buy a standalone package for the discounted price.

Upgrade only Photoshop in Creative Suite 2 Premium

I have Adobe Creative Suite 2 Premium. Is there any way to just upgrade the Photoshop portion to CS5?

Hello Chris, you can upgrade from suite-to-suite, but not from suite-to-component...
For more details see the "Upgrade eligibility, pricing, and purchasing options" section of Adobe's Creative Suite FAQ.
BTW, CS2 is the oldest version that would qualify for the discounted upgrade pricing to CS5.

Help with Creative Suite 6 without a disk drive

I have a new mac and bought adobe creative suite 6 design standard, teacher/student edition. I do not have a disk drive so I installed creative cloud to download the products on adobe design standard and then license them as adobe does NOT have a direct download for Creative Suite 6: Design Standard which is the problem because the serial code I received from adobe support after identifying my proof of eligibility did not work on the products I PURCHASED. Very frustrated here, please help!

Purchasing Creative Suite 6 for a company?

We have a number of users using older versions of the Creative Suite product set and we are currently looking at the upgrade options available.
Having spoken to the end users about the differences between Creative Cloud and CS6, it appears that all of the functionality they require is included in Creative Suite 6 Design Standard, and that would be their
preference at this time. However, I understand that CS6 is no longer available via a volume license agreement (as per http://www.adobe.com/uk/products/cs6/faq.html#purchasing-policy) and can only be purchased via Electronic Software Delivery from Adobe.com (as per http://www.adobe.com/uk/products/cs6/faq.html#upgrade-eligibility).
Would it be acceptable to Adobe for us to use the same company credit card details to make 10-15 “individual” purchases?

Can't register my Creative Suite

I bought a Creative Suite at an Apple Store and I can't register my softwares. The product number on the box doesn't work and I don't have any order number to get a serial number and use my tryout version already uploaded on my computer.

If you bought CS it should have included a serial number unless you bought an academic version which may have required you to submit proof of eligibility before getting one.

I do not know if CS2 products still qualify for language change eligibility. If you acquired CS2 on the rumor that it was being offered freely by Adobe then you might find you don't have any such option. You should post back with any information you have regarding your attempt to get the language cvhange so that others can benefit from your experience.

Where can I download Creative Suite 6?

I recently bought Adobe creative suite 6 on an education addition. I got my proof of eligibility ect, however am unable to install it due to my mac book having no cd drive. I went out and bought an external cd drive which was no help and did not work. What do I do now? This program cost me a lot of money and so far I cant even use it. Please help.
