we bought creative suite for windows 7 but we need to replace the laptop now. Can we reinstall creative suite on a new windows 8 machine or will it not work?

BTW the platform swap is for current version of Adobe software only, if you have older version then you may have to look for Cross-platform upgrade. -

Creative Suites for Windows - Forum Problem
Why is the latest post in this forum dated 2 years ago?
Going back a bit, the Creative Suites forum was much more active. More recently, the activity has been targeted at the products within the suites. This was really evident back with CS2 Production Studio. As it added early versions of ADL (Adobe Dynamic Link), there was then more of a reason to discuss things under the umbrella of Creative Suites. Now, the implementation of ADL in the products, that made up the old Production Studio, mean that discussions relate more to the individual products. I have also seen a marked decline in Creative Suite activity, and have not even checked in many months.

I am considering purchasing Creative Suite 6 Design and Web Premium Windows. The designer I work with does all of our work in the same program, only it is version 5. Before I make the purchase, I want to make sure the two versions are compatible. Will I be able to make changes to their work when they send it to me in version 5?
Also, where would I even begin to look for a class on how to use this product?
Thanks!Yes, you can open up files from older versions in newer versions, it may just not always work the otehr way around. Your otehr question is too generic. We don't know what kind of work you do and pointing you to random tutorials may not at al lbe productive. If you feel so inclined, spend a little time looking up some basics video tutorials for the programs, but anything specific is best asked when you actually encounter the issues.

CS3 is also too old to have an "upgrade path" and is no longer sold or supported by Adobe.

Windows 7 crashed after Creative Suite 6 Design and Web Premium completed an update. The only Windows restore point that worked was pre-installation of CS6 software. Now when trying to reinstall I get the 'installer failed to initialize' message. Have tried using the CC Cleaner Tool but nothing works? Any solution please. Was new computer and newly purchased CS6 software downloaded 2 days prior to the upgrade.
