Creative Suite trial stuck in "extracting"

Trying to download free trial of craetive suite5.5 and it is stuckin  extracting. tried again to download indesign and same thing. I am putting it in the applications file and it creates a folder for it and just the dmg file is in there. when verifying it says the image disc cannot be opened. help!

oh, ok. I did undo the checksums and opened it and then redid the checksums. I had seen that offered as a solution in the faqs. I have downloaded indesign and had tried to do the CS5.5 suite to have photoshop too. can I do the suite if I already have done the indesign? WhenI go back to adobe it still says "extracting" for the suite will it let me go back to place it on the desktop?
thanks for the help, I will know next time.

  • Creative suite trial extracting for 2 days

    Hi
Ive been trying to download the creative suite trial and 2 days ago, it reached the extracting stage and has since frozen. Ive tried solution 4 as it comes up with error 105, but it just seems to have frozen as I cant pause or delete it or anything, Ive even tried to delete the download assistant and reload it again and the same thing happens. How do I get rid of it? as I said, Ive looked at the troubleshooting section but its not been any help for me
    Thanks

Ninaf95 if you are continuing to experience difficulties I might recommend removing the Adobe Download Assistant, removing the preferences and cache, and then try the download again preferrably in a different web browser.
You can find the preference and cache files in the following locations:
    Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\[user]\Application Data\com.adobe.downloadassistant.AdobeDownloadAssistant\Local Store
Windows 7 and Vista:  C:\Users\[login]\AppData\Roaming\com.adobe.downloadassistant.AdobeDownloadAssistant\Local Store
    Mac OS: /[user name]/Library/Preferences/com.adobe.downloadassistant.AdobeDownloadAssistant and /[user name]/Library/Caches/com.adobe.downloadassistant.AdobeDownloadAssistant
Tip: On Mac OS Lion, press Option and click the Go menu to reveal the hidden user Library folder.

  • Creative Suite Trial Fail

I downloaded the creative suite trial and photoshop worked briefly but failed to open pdfs and all the other apps failed to open with plugin errors or bomb reports. I uninstalled but now cannot download again for a clean install. If this is the future of cloud apps, I'll have to stick with CS3.
When I try to download again, I get the error message that the protocal aam isn't associated with any program. And the drag and drop page doesn't work.

    Hi mulepull,
Photoshop is not used to view pdf's, Acrobat is. Please let me know what errors you get while opening other apps  with screenshots if possible.
Also let me know te OS version you are using.

  • Creative Suite trial expired, can I use it again?

Hi there, I purchased a trial version Creative Suites cs5.5, I installed it on my old laptop Toshiba (2006) but infortunately the programs didnt work very well, specialy 3D objects. I bought a new laptop Sony Vaio  2-3months ago, which work pretty good,  after 2 weeks i had to send the new laptop to repair, it took them 3 weeks to repair my new laptop, when I finaly had my laptop back from repair the Adobe Creative suite trial version expired. I reinstall my computer so I could use it again. When I start its says 3O days trials start now but while I open programs its says my trail version expired. It is there any chance I can continue use 30 days trial on my new computer if I already install it before but I couldnt use it due the laptop repair? Regards. Katerina

You cannot run a trial of CS 5.5. However, CS 6 is now available. You might be able to try that.

  • Creative Suite trial downloading

I can't activate Creative Suite trial after downloading.  It won't accept my password.  I can log into MyAdobe though.  Any thoughts?
There were some errors during the download.  It paused 3 times.

Micheal's recollection is right. There is no concept of activation for Trial , doesn't make sense to have it.
When exactly is it asking you the password ?
Have you installed the software on your computer ?
    What is your OS ?

  • Looking for direct download links for Creative Suite trial versions?

Trial versions of Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop Elements, and Adobe Premiere Elements are downloaded using the Adobe Download Assistant — a small application that is meant to improve download reliability and avoid issues that commonly occur during large downloads, such as frequent disconnects.
What do we mean by "large downloads"? Photoshop CS5 and Photoshop Elements, for example, are each over 1.1 GB. The approximate download times for files this size are:
    • On a cable connection (3 mbps): 50 minutes.
    • On a DSL connection (1.5 mbps): 1 hrs. 39 minutes.
The Adobe Download Assistant helps most people manage the download of these large files, for example by enabling pause/resume of the downloads, and checking to ensure the complete file(s) are downloaded before actual installation begins.
While we strongly recommend you first attempt to download trial versions using the Adobe Download Assistant, we also realize that some people just prefer to manage their own downloads directly, using a web browser. For those of you who do, please follow the instructions carefully here.
Update 5/5/13: Please utilize the Photoshop Elements page at http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=photoshop_elements&loc=us to set the trial cookie to allow the links offered at http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cs6-direct-download-links.html to function successfully.
Update 5/17/13: The Prodesigntools site - http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cs6-direct-download-links.html has been updated.  Please follow the Very Important Instructions section to complete the download process.

I was trying everything I could think of on my end to download the InDesign trial from this link:
    http://prodesigntools.com/trials2/AdobeProducts/IDSN/8/win32/InDesign_8_LS16.exe
I must have tried it a hundred times using every browser, download manager, login, logout, whatever.  At one point the server sent me a 1.2 MB file that was corrupt, but on all other attempts it just errored out.  The current response entity is:
    Access Denied
You don't have permission to access "http://trials2.adobe.com/AdobeProducts/IDSN/8/win32/InDesign_8_LS16.exe?" on this server.
    Reference #18.6daeacd.1343153129.1c78627
When I switched to the 7zip file and after many more attempts it finally downloaded.  The exe link never worked.
I don't know if this is a security thing or a failed server but it is not a good way to distribute software either way.

  • Creative Suite: Trial versions despite subscription

    Hi
We habe bought the Creative Suite with 2 seats some days ago, we have three Adobe IDs involved:
    A = Plan administrator
    B, C = Team members
B and C are set as team members (yes they are invited!), when they start an Adobe App (under Windows by the way) they get a screen, that they are using the trial version. When trying to license the software we get to a screen where we have to enter a serial number which we don't have (we bought via a reseller). The Application manager is up-to-date, the apps are up-to-date, we tried re-inviting, re-installations, those link provided by Adobe staff here http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/trial--1-launch.html. NOT WORKING because we cannot deactivate the app.
I tried Adobe support chat, which results in "this sounds like an technical issue, please call technical support at: 800-833-6687" - which my phone says is invalid, I guess there is some prefix missing?
What can I try next? Will there be help from Adobe, I'm asking because there are a lot of open discussions here concerning the same issue?
Maybe someone can also point out professional alternatives to Photoshop and Indesign.
    Regards,
    Stefan
(PS. this forum js editor has a serious issue with ie9...)

So the editor seems to work again, here the short version, because I'm writing this for the third time. I really hate Adobe by now. Support is very bad, hotline numbers are hidden (or support numbers are marked as sale instead of support), chat support is restricted to "thank you for your information, this is a technical issue, please contact technical support".
Our issue was that the application manager was set to german (which is default) instead of english. Pretty obvious, ha? After that we had to reinstall everything. (I'm still not finished)...
The austrian hotline number is +43 (0) 179 56 74 84, you find that on that page: http://www.adobe.com/de/aboutadobe/contact.html# I don't know if it is possible to find this page when you don't have the link.
    Regards.
PS: PLEASE FIX THIS FORUM TO WORK WITH IE9!!

  • Getting a serial number when going to the Cloud from a Creative Suite Trial?

How do you get a serial number to get your Creative Suite 6 Trial software to continue working after you've joined the Cloud?

    Hi galioz110,
Once your subscription is active you should only need to sign-in with your Adobe ID and so long as you are online the products should automatically activate.
The process for converting a trial to a licensed version is explained in this document
    http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/convert-cs6-licensed-under-ccm.html

  • Download of Photoshop CS5 trial stuck in "Extracting"

    Hello,
Today I went to download the 30 day free trial of CS5 and got through most of the steps, an error message popped up but now I am looking at the still open Adobe Download assistant which just says "Extracting..." with the status bar moving.
    Please help!
    Thanks

Where are you choosing to download the install files too?

  • Effect on licensed ID installation if CS5 Master suite trial is installed?

Can a licensed InDesign CS3 installation be preserved (with future ID point product upgrade options intact) if a CS5 Master Creative Suite trial is installed on the same machine?  If trial period ends and a Creative Suite license is not purchased, will the prior point product ID license survive?  Or will it be effectively overridden by the Creative Suite trial installation?
Similarly, if a CS5 Creative Suite Trial expires can a point product license for one of its programs be installed on the same computer?
    Thanks.
    Lee

Thanks, Bob.  If I understand correctly, then, worst case would be the need to uninstall everything (trial and licensed point product) but reinstalling the licensed point product should work?  And reactivating the licensed point product might be necessary but permissible (possibly with some assistance from Adobe support)?

  • Windows8:integrated flash player corrupted after uninstall Adobe Creative Suite

Initially, after conversion to Windows8, the flashplayer worked fine. After uninstalling Adobe Creative Suite trial software, the flash player corrupted and only the video portion works, no audio. Followed every single forum solution on Adobe Help site, endured 3+ hours of hold time with Miscrosoft warranty department, to no avail. Downloaded uninstall for the flash player and then uninstalled it and the system still reports the flash player is integrated in Windows 8!!!!!! and functioning. Do I have to re-install the operating system?
    Please, someone? Anyone?

Do I have to re-install the operating system?
    Nope.
    Repair Internet Explorer: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/318378
That'll put the embedded Flash Player back.

  • Can't install or extract CS6 Creative Design suite trial

Unfortunately I'm having a terrible time getting a trial of Adobe CS6 Creative Suite Design to install. I've put around eight hours into it now, having downloaded it through the download manager numerous times, along with downloading it twice through the direct download links that you can find on these forums.
I've used different browsers to download the files.
I've cleared out the temp files folder to open up space, and made sure that when I ran executable files that I ran as an administrator.  My computer has plenty of space, with hundreds of gigabytes free.
With the adobe download assistant it has no problem downloading the files.  Then it goes into extraction mode, spends a good amount of time churning the hard drive, but then comes up with the following error:
“Error extracting the product installer (Error 101). Check for available disk space on your system and try downloading the product again.”
As above, I made sure that the temp file is clear and I have plenty of space on the hard drive.
When I do the direct download files, it will run for awhile, but eventually it stops and presents the following error message:
“A problem occurred while extracting some files.  Check available space on your computer and the write privileges on the destination folder.”
I know that with both routes the issue is extraction.  I've made sure I'm not aiming the files at protected directories, checking the properties to ensure no weird permissions or read only status is in effect.  I've tried this with several different locations on the hard drive.
I've also the tried the manual extraction suggested that I'd read on these forums.  I got winzip and then manually tried to extract the large file.  It would get somewhat into the zip file and pulling it apart, but eventually it sends off it's own error message as particular files choke winzip.
I've tried this with both direct downloads.  I suppose in theory I might be able to navigate through both downloads and get good extracted versions of the files, but I don't think I can put the time in to tediously go through the whole zip file like that.
I feel like I've explored all the low hanging fruit solutions.  I've been pouring over forums to find solutions, trying them out.  If it's some simple little fix, then I think I've already tried it.
Windows 7 machine with an i5 processor, 8 gigs of ram and hundreds of gigs of space available.  The hard drive is 1 TB.
I've got a big wad of money ready to buy the Creative Suite, but the thing has to actually function for me before I buy.  Somebody help!

    Just an update:
I found a useful set of directions to sort out the issue of not being able to get a larger partition:
    http://www.brandonchecketts.com/archives/how-to-shrink-a-partition-with-unmovable-files-in -windows-7
So after a few hours I was able to at least slice my 1TB hard drive in half.
I then tried the direct download trial files, but unfortuantely the same error popped up.
Next I went back and did a fresh process of the download assistant approach.   Unfortuantely it just popped up with the same old error 101 message.  I've been using computers for over two decades and never seen such an intractible problem. If this wasn't work related I'd have given up long ago.
One thing that makes this process really difficult is the insistence on the download assistant to redownload the file to attempt the extraction process again.  With over an hour for each attempt it doesn't make troubleshooting easy.
Unfortuantely the other computers I have access to are too old to handle all of this stuff, so I've got to find the solution on this computer.
I'm going to log into chat now and see if something specific can happen.

  • Problem with download Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium trial

I have downloaded Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium Trial but at the end of the download it brings up this error message: "Error extracting the product installer (error 101). Check for available disk space on your system and try downloading the product again." I am using a Dell laptop. I definitely have ample disk space. I don't want to download the product again as it has taken many hours and 3.6 GB to download. Please help! Thanks

Did you customize the location for the trial to download?  We often times see this happen when users select their Program Files folder to download the install files too.  I would recommend trying to download to your user folder or desktop.
