Creative Suites 1.1 Reactivation failure. Solution?

I had to repair my computer so the configuration changed. I have CS1.1 (yes, really) Reactivation using the Serial No and Activation no. provided during re-start failed. Everything opens except Photoshop (because of the activation failure).
I found this on Adobe's help page: http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/creative-suite-2-activation-end-life.htm l. A salesperson claimed it WOULD work to replace my CS1.1 but when I read the instructions, there's no mention of "CS2 or earlier;" it just says it's for CS2. I'm reluctant to remove the whole suite from my computer to try the CS2 install if I could lose ALL the suite software.
Does anyone know if I'm safe trying this re-issued install of CS2 to replace my CS1.1? If it doesn't work, will I be able to get my Illustrator, Acrobat, etc. back using my original disks since those programs apparently don't need activation?

The CS2 version offered by Adobe following the decommissioning of the activation servers is a FULL installer. It needs no prior version installed and your original disks are not needed at all.
What you will need is to download the new serial number(s) provided on the same page, as your serial numbers do not work any longer.

BOGUS CS2 Creative Suites serial number need solutions

So I own CS2 Creative Suites Premium and it has been working a treat on my Macbook Pro with no issues at all. My harddrive did decide to pack in after water damage got it fixed tried my Adobe it did not work, and after tlaking with the Adobe helpline and going onto the CS2 section for an alternative serial number so I can still use my product it also does not work.
What is the solution?
Adobe what do you have to say for yourselves?
And I am not interested in Creative cloud and I cannot afford CS6

I am checking this old thread in need of a few answers. My iMac G5 (OS 10.5.8) running CS2 Professional had a drive failure. So, right now I am unable to access any of my artfiles. But I had an extra copy of CS2 Professional from a previous purchase and tried to load it on an older G5 iMac (OS 10.5.8). Ran in to the same activation issues. So, went online to the Adobe site, downloaded the CS2 files provided. But, as described earlier, the site did not provide or make available the last 2 Disk Images for the Professional Suite - which includes Acrobat 7.
I am dire need to complete the Suite. any information on how to obtain the missing files?

How do I fix an activation failure for Creative Suite 5.5 Design Standard? I uninstalled this from my old XP computer and re-installed it on Windows 8.1 two weeks ago. I am in NZ and got error message #129.17. I used the recommended fix of changing the time zone when I did the transfer and this seemed to work, but today when I tried to use Acrobat Pro I got the activation failure message with the same error code again. This time the fix doesn't seem to work. Is there anything else I can try?

Installing Creative suite 6, failure to initialize/restart may be pending win 7

During the installer initialization it arrives at the machine restart may be pending however HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager. does not contain InProgress key
I have previously rebooted the computer because of issues stemming from an older version of NVIDIA graphic card interfering, in conflict with a windows update, with Revit Architecture software.
Both programs are needed for school.
After not finding the problem it resolved in just failure to initialize for a decent amount of time. This left nothing for adobe support advisor to even recognize.
Please help.

Please navigate to C/Program Files(X86)/Common Files/Adobe/and look for Caps and OOBE and rename both.
Run the installer again. If it says restart is pending just select ignore and proceed with installation.

Creative suite 6 install says genuine software verification failure when trying to install from a genuine disk

When trying to install a genuine copy of creative suite 6 from disk, i keep getting the message that the verification failed and that the copy is counterfeit.

and use your serial numbers aso. from your disk.
Maybe it's necessary to delete first all the rudiments from your former installations.

Downloading Creative Suite after 90% installed, said Error w/ no solution?

Downloading Creative Suite 5.5 and after 90% installed, told me to quit Firefox, I did, then it said Error (1) with no instructions as to what the error is and how to solve it.
Do I need to be connected to the internet by any chance? I'm wireless and never have my computer hooked up downstairs but can move it if that could be the problem.

Adobe Creative Suite Premium All Re-install Except PhotoShop

I have been using Creative Suite Premium for over 4 years. It was working fine until several days ago when Photoshop locked up. After closing it, I have was not able to get Photoshop to run. I have tried to uninstall and re-install the entire suite several times. All of the programs in CS installed fine and I can open them and work in them, EXCEPT PhotoShop. PhotoShop is the main program I use. When I tried to install just PhotoShop, I got an error message that the serial number is invalid. I re-checked and re-entered the serial number several times, but always got the same error message. I don't understand whay happened in the first place and why the problem is only with PhotoShop.
I use PhotoShop on a daily basis with my job, so I need it to be up and running. I am also on a limited income and budget and cannot afford to buy their expensive upgrades, nor should I have to since the program has been working fine all this time.
I tried the Tech suppport chat and after a lengthy wait and discussion, was told that Tech Support does support CS. I know Adobe is trying to force me to spend hudnreds of dollars to upgrade, but if I am forced to buy new software, it won't be from Adobe.
Does anyone out there know of a solution to fix this? Thanks.

Before uninstall/reinstalling any software always try to fix the preference file first. Reason is, if the file is corrupted, reinstalling the app will not fix it, as it assumes that you want to keep your prefered settings, hence preference file.
Most apps will recreate the file if it can not find it, but to be safe, moving the file to another location, will allow you to put it back if it does not recreate the file.

Help! Upgrade Fireworks CS5 (from Creative Suite 5 Web Premium) to Fireworks CS6 not working!

Today I bought and downloaded Fireworks CS6 from the Adobe webshop as an update for my Fireworks CS5 that was included in my Creative Suite 5 Web Premium-set.
But during the installation of Fireworks CS6 the serial number of my Creative Suite 5 Web Premium - needed for the installer to verify that I could 'legaly' upgrade - was not accepted! So now I can use Fireworks CS6 only as a try-out-version...
What can I do? If Creative Suite 5 Web Premium isn't the right upgrade-version: how can I get my money back? Or is there another solution?

This http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html is not working I am afraid. I understand that I need to uninstall the creative suite before I run CS cleaner. But as I explained in my first question, the uninstallation is not working at all. Even I could uninstall the software, I am afraid that I may get into trouble if installatin is not working. All I want is that my photoshop error " save for web devices " which was grayed out should work as normal. This error happened after I moved the plug-ins.
