CS2 is completely unsupported under Vista and 64 bits adds more problems.
Best advice is to upgrade. CS5 will be shipping soon.

  • How do I fix Creative Suite CS2 reinstall with error message "Missing or Invalid Personalization Inf

How do I fix Creative Suite CS2 reinstall on same Windows 7 Pro machine, with error message "Missing or Invalid Personalization Information / Missing Resources Library" when I attempt to reinstall from installation disk set? Was having trouble with Adobe Acrobat Pro 8; Uninstalled and am now stuck. You can email me if you like at [email protected] Thank you.

    Hi Bill:
I don't remember deactivating (after my XP PRO harddrive scattered)
when I did the first Windows 7 pro install of these programs and it went
fairly well except AA8 was a little problematic when converting from MS
    Word.
In my case the AA8 came with a Studio 8 suite of programs as follows:
         1) A Studio 8 installation disk
         2) A Creative Suite CS2 Premium set of installation disks.
         3) A Creative Suite 2.3 Premium upgrade disk with AA8
I uninstalled AA8 and when I tried reinstallation the directions
said to do the Creative Suite CS2 Premium set of installation disks
first followed by the Creative Suite 2.3 Premium upgrade disk with AA8.
Now I'm stuck; What a mess.
         Thanks for trying to help.
I will do as you suggest and go to

  • Note: Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard & Adobe Creative Suite CS2

    Hello,
here is an important note for Apple & Adobe business users who are using the Adobe Creative Suite CS2 package for their daily workflow.
    http://www.adobe.com/go/leopardfaq
    <--- quote from Adobe --->
Question: Will older versions of Adobe creative software—such as Creative Suite 2 and Macromedia Studio 8 software—support Mac OS X Leopard?
Answer (Adobe): While older Adobe applications may install and run on Mac OS X Leopard, they were designed, tested, and released to the public several years before this new operating system became available. You may, therefore, experience a variety of installation, stability, and reliability issues for which there is no resolution. Older versions of our creative software will not be updated to support Mac OS X Leopard. ...
    <--- Quote from Adobe --->
In clear words. If an application of the Adobe Creative Suite CS2 package does not work properly under Mac OS X Leopard, you might notice several issues such as bugs, crashes and other incompatibility problems.
So, in the end this means:
" Dear Apple & Adobe user. Use Mac OS X 10.5 on your own risk. "

" Innovation is good. Too much innovation in a short period of time is becoming counterproductive. "

Thanks Tony, this helped me get some functionality out of InDesign CS2. However, is there a way to get it to keep all the palette options?

  • How do i download "ADOBE PREMIUM CREATIVE SUITE CS2 WEB BUNDLE"

Does anyone remember this Adobe product.  It was the product that combined in one package "Premium Creative Suite CS2" and "Studio 8"?   I had my system crash on me and do not have my installation disks, just my serial number.  I desperately need Dreamweaver 8, Flash 8 etc, as I am setting up a new website.  Any help would be appreciated.  I have been refered to this site for anyone who uses version MX 2004!

  • Creative Suite CS2 thinks Photoshop already installed

During the install of Creative Suite CS2, I keep getting the message that Photoshop is already installed.  It has been uninstalled and I have deleted all folders left in the program files directory and all folders in documents and settings.  I have also used a registry cleaner that removed all "obsolete program" entries referencing photoshop.  I have seen that adobe has a cleanup tool for CS3 and above, but have not found anything for CS2.  Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.

The windows install cleanup tool resolved this issue.

  • Creative Suite CS2

I have just downloaded creative suite cs2 but to install it I seem to need a serial number.which I don't have.  I printed off the installation instructions, but they don't seem to correspond with what I am having to do

    Where from? Which link?
If you got it from https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/entitlement/index.cfm?e=cs2_downloads (which is the only one which now works) then you also need to enter the serial number provided on that page.

  • After downloading & installing application of adobe creative suite cs2 version 6,  screen of adobe photoshop cs2 is not opened by clicking icon . message is giving " ausba4.dll " was not present. Please guide me.?

I have downloaded & installed adobe creative suit cs2 version 6 but when I click the icon of adobe photoshop in desktop it is not opened & giving message " this application has failed to start because " ausba4.dll " was not found. reinstalling of the application may fix the problem " I have reinstall & opened many times but even then it is not opened. Please guide me accordingly.

I'd try disabling the Twain_32.8BA plugin in
    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS2\Plug-Ins\Import-Export
You can disable the plugin by putting an ~ (tilde) in front of the name or moving the plugin to your desktop.
Then try photoshop cs2 and see if you still get the error message.
I suspect the error has to do with your scanner driver, since photoshop cs2 does not have an ausba4.dll

BTW the platform swap is for current version of Adobe software only, if you have older version then you may have to look for Cross-platform upgrade.

  • Problems with Windows Vista Installation

Hi, I'm a new Mac user. I just received my Macbook about a week ago, and I am, so far, impressed with it.
However, I have been experiencing difficulties installing Windows Vista (SP1, 32bit DVD) via Boot Camp. After partitioning to a 32gb drive, I insert my installation DVD and click "Start Installation." After my computer reboots, the CD drive begins spinning, but then my screen is filled with black. Only a little white blinking underscore appears at the top left.
I've left my computer there for a while, in hopes of something occurring, but to no avail.
Is there anyone able to help me figure out how to smoothly run the Windows Vista installation? I'd love to catch up on work and gaming that I've missed this past week.

    Welcome to the Apple boards:
There have been some "issues" with BC and the newest Vista which has embedded SP1.
I am running Vista Ultimate 64-bit on this box, but I installed it under Tiger and BC 1.3 beta and just kept upgrading.
I recently installed Vista SP1 and BC2.1, but you are starting from the top, so to speak.
I am not sure there is an answer yet for your situation.
Other posters may be of assistance.

  • How to install developer suite on windows vista

trying to install the dveloper suite on windows vista, keep gettting error that the pagefile(swap file) size is 0 and need to fix this problem.
did any one have this problem
using developer suite x86-101202 (compatibility mode xp sp2)

Have you followed the steps under "III. After the install completed" in this thread?
Forms 10g installed and running on Windows Vista
And note the fourth paragraph from the top. There is a BIG bug in Forms Builder 10g running on Vista. When you try to compile a program unit (procedure) that calls another one that has compiler errors, the Forms Builder crashes. So it can be pretty frustrating if you actually try do any forms development work.

Hi I've just upgraded my MacBook Pro from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion. Now my installed programs:- Quarkxpress 6.5 - Adobe creative suite CS2 - Adobe Acrobat 7.0 professional and Microsoft Office 2004 will not open - I get a banner saying not supported by power mac. Can anyone please help me I really need these programs for my work. Thank you!

    hi tuggerose
i think it is bad new for you. if it's any consilation i went through the same thing when i loaded mountain lion when it first came out. i think the problem is that mountain lion is a pure 64bit operating system and the software you have is 32bit. earlier os's were able to emulate 32bit but the new system does not. the answer is new software. i did it and it cost me a load of money and much angst so your not alone.

  • Creative Suite version 1, Vista 64 bit?  Is this possible?

Can the first version of Creative Suite be installed on vista 64 bit?  If so, how?
    Thanks.

You can try, but I wouldn't count on flawless performance. The earliest version of Creative Suite that is Vista (32 or 64 bit) compatible is CS3.
In other words....you're on your own. CS is also the earliest version eligible for upgrade pricing and right now you can save $200.
