Creative video converter problem

when i first got my creative zen (just the creative zen) i could easy use yt downloader and put the videos on my player not when i use the creative video converter it would keep saying its unscessful at 36%. i tried a video at .9mb and it work but when i tried a 9.2mb it would not work.

$video files all come from youtube using the youtube downloader. when they are downloaded they are flv files. i change them to wmv files and the converter says not a valid source so i use the youtube downloader converter that converts it into another wmv file (V.7 WMV) and the file has a pic from the video. so i put it through the creative converter it would work or don't a spot between .9 and 9.2

  • Creative Video Converter Prob

    Hallo everyone..
I'm new here, sorry if Im in the wrong forum.
This afternoon I tried to convert a video file ( with creative video converter from Zen M Vision Software ), but at 60 % , my computer always shut down automatically.. with another videofiles too..
dunno wheres the problem .. maybe someone can help me ?
    Thank You.

Well I know it'll do avi and wmv, but probably not the other. Did you try transferring them individually?
Also does this happen in the process of transferring, or just when you manually open up the Video Converter from the start menu programs.

  • Creative Video Converter B

I have recently been trying to convert some .wmv's into a smaller video file so that I might import them onto my Zen Vision: M and save some space in the process, yet during each attempt at video conversion, the following message appears.
"Creative Video Converter has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
The conversion never even begins, and i'm quite confused as to what to do. I have reinstalled all software including WMP0, any ideas?

I had the same problem and tried to solve the problem. Now I' ve found the solution. I downloaded and installed the upgrades und updates:"Creative PlaysForSure Devices Plugin 5.00.36 for Creative MediaSource 5 Player_Organizer__"and"Creative MediaSource Player_Organizer 5.0.38__".You can find these upgrades by clicking on the link : "Software AutoUpdate[/b]" This site searches especially?for your?system and player the necesarry?updates.Attention: Your player must be connected while the online software autoupdate is searching for your missing software!I had another problem. My player didn't import the albumcovers althoug it did some time before. This problem is gone away, too.Hint: refresh your player firmware version

  • Creative video converter image fl

    Hello,
I am having trouble using the creative image converter every time I try to convert video it works but it flips the image upside down and horizontally so that I would have to flip my playe upside down and watch in a mirror to see it right.
It looks the same as the problem 20772 forums.creative.com/creativelabs/board/message?board.id=dap&message.id=20772, but it still occurs when I untick 'Use advanced hardware overlay' in the DivX configuration tool.
    Thanks for your help.

mteitler, I would suggest you do what I do: completely forget about the Creative video converter and download the free program BADAK, then use that for a very fast conversion of your videos for the ZEN. For more info go to my previous posts or contact me so that I can provide the details. BADAK just is the best I have found for converting videos. macqueline.

  • Creative Video Converter

I am looking for the program Creative Video Converter. I had it on my PC, but then I had to reinstall the System and lost the program. I have been looking for it all over, but no success. The program is needed to convert Videos for my ZEN XFi 2. BADAK does it, but is not quite as good as Creative Video Converter. So if there is someone in the community who can help me, I would be very grateful.

Are you referring to Creative Central? If yes, you can download it from the support site. Click on the support link above and go to MP3 players section. Click on ZEN X-Fi2. Under Downloads->Application section, download and install Creative ZEN X-Fi2 Starter Pack 1.16.02. The pack includes the user guide and the Creative Central app.

I am having trouble using the creative image converter every time I try to convert video it works but it flips the image upside down and horizontally so that I would have to flip my playe upside down and watch in a mirror to see it right. Does anybody know what I am doing wrong or how to fix this. Thanks for your time.

I'm guessing that the videos you are trying to convert are divx, if so, no need to mess about with codecs etc, probably much simpler.Go to Start-Programs-DivX-DivX Codec-Decoder Configuration Utility and then untick 'Use advanced hardware overlay', try again and hopefully that should fix it.

  • Problems With Creative Video Converter: iTunes

    Hi,
I have recently been trying to convert some video files i got off of iTunes to a format compatable with the Zen 8g. It keeps saying that the conversion is successful, but when I play the video files on my player the entire video is just a gray box. Some videos won't even go through, they just fail with the converter. Thank you for your help.

Hey I'm having the same problem, and thought that maybe we'd get more help if a few people had this happening? It won't even install for me, when the camera is almost done, the camera beeps twice to say its on and then my computer turns blue and dies. i dont really like that screen, so if anyone can fix it or tell me what to do?

  • Zen Vision M video convertion problem: image upside d

Tried to copy .avi videos to my ZVM, but after the required convertion?(via Creative converter to .wmv format) the video appeared upside down. Tried several times with different files -- same result. Any idea?

I'm not sure what exactly is the problem with the video, but whenever I upload it, it will only play up 00:08 of 24:0. For some reason, it fails to recognize the other parts of the video, and only shows the video length as 8 seconds. The video works fine when played in Windows Media.
The size of the video is 70 MB, and the data rate is 966 kbs.
I would say maybe the data rate is the problem . I use this program to encode my videos & it has a preset for the Zen that also works well on the Zen VM. http://forums.creative.com/showthread.php?t=527380BTW just because a video plays on the computer does not mean it will play on your device.

  • Video converting problem

after i converting video files, like "mpeg"
the converted files play the image without any sound
and the same problem also happened when i try to play the videos on ipod.
how can i solve this problem?

Join the club as there are a number of threads out there on this topic. I tried to use QT pro to do it, but it does not bring in audio. According to a buddy it has to do with QT Pro's ability to play sound, but doesn't have an engine to encode it.
I got Podner 1.3 and that worked for me. I'm a little disappointed as I wanted to use QT pro, but I guess that has yet to be determined.

  • PC suit ver. 7 video converter problem w/ Nokia N8...

Recently I have upgraded my PC suit software from ver. 6.84.10.3 to PC suit ver.7. My PC has dual-core processor and OS is windows xp, service pact 2. My cell phone is Nokia N80ie (with firmware ver. 5.0719.0.2). When I converted my video clip of the format wmv, avi or any other format it converted to Mp4 format and copied to my cellphone's the gallary. But when I played the video clip in my cell phone the error message " Unable to play either sound or video clip, Trying to play partially" displayed in LCD and later, only sound of the clip is played. But when Nokia N73 is connected in my PC with the same PC suit ver 7 and the same video clip is converted into Mp4 format and transfered to N73, the video clip is played clearly in N73 with visual and sound. Secondly, when the video clip mp4 format is transfered from N73 to N80ie via bluetooth, the mp4 format can be played in N80ie with visual and sound. Therefore I cannot get why, when the video clip is converted directly with PC suit 7 via my PC to my cell phone Nokia N80ie it won't play the video clip?... Plz help me if anybody has any ideas. OR PC suit 7 is not compatible with N80ie?...

    Hey prabin,
I dont have any idea if Nokia has some conversion tools to convert its mp4 into 3gps, so you have to rely on some 3rd party applications to do this ( to convert mp4 files to 3gp) and transfer this file into your phone and view it... Googling for 3rd party applications will help for your solution. I know this is not exact solution to your problem, but still i dont know if Nokia has some software for your solution

Many Many thanks for your reply. Now I again reversed back to my old PC suit software 6.84.10.3. Now I can play the converted mp4 format video clips in my Nokia N80ie by PC suit software 6.84.10.3. It is the best to use xillo soft third party software to convert any video clips in mp4 to play in N80ie. The visual quality is excellent.
    Anyway thanks for your help.

  • IPOD DVD/VIDEO CONVERTER PROBLEM

After testing cucusoft converter software successfully recently, I made the plunge. It worked fine for a day, now when I go to play the DVD/Video on the Ipod, I get an album-like cover (on the IPOD screen) and audio, but no video. Any suggestions to correct this? Could it have something to do with the re-setting of the default player?
    Thanks,

  • Creative video converter malfuncti

I just bought the Zen V Plus and am trying to put some videos on it. however the converter only converts two or three of my vids...they are all the same format (mpeg) and i cannot spot any reason why some work and others dont...

Some of your videos may be in the wrong format. If you have like youtube or google videos then I suggest that you dl the SUPER video convertor and use these settings to convert your videos to .AVI format
    Output container: AVI
Output Video Encoder: Xvid or DivX
    Output Audio Codec: MP3
    Video: no change (resolution
    frame/sec 25
    bitrate 768
    options high quality/48k audio

  • Zen video converter problem..the size comes out way to B

I dont understand I just finished converting a .wmv music video with the software my zen v plus player came with and the file size came out to 98mb when it was originally 20mb. Why does it do that? shouldnt the size be smaller?

I have also tryed to pass a .avi file into the player and the converter pass the file from 30MB?to 300MB. I have tryed to use a preconverter to leave files smaller, but it doesn't work. Does anybody have a solution?

  • Creative Zen - video converter issues

I've been trying to convert AVIs and MKVs to view on my Creative Zen and keep running into a problem.
No matter what settings I seem to use on any video converter, my player refuses to play the resulting WMV.
I am encoding to as close as possible to the required specifications, making sure no bitrate, frame rate, or resolution is too high for the player, but nothing seems to want to play.
Exactly what settings are required to convert a file to work on a Creative Zen?
I know the Creative Video Converter works, but the time taken to convert each file is far too long.

    Hi there:
    No worries!
Here I would like to offer you my opinions.
First, we should have a basic information of Creative Zen. In terms of its formats supported, it generally supports AVI, WMV, MPG, MPEG-, MPEG-2 and MP4. But there are still some users feeback that it can not perfectly accept AVI. Okay, based on my own experience using video converters, I am sure that Moyea Video Converter got via Google can definitely help solve the problem.
Step one: free download Moyea Video Converter and install it.
Step two: load AVI and MKV files to this program, select output format as "Creative Zen-Zen Player Video (.*WMV)" from pull-down menu of Format, and then locate the destination folder.
Step three:expand "Settings" button to enter the Profile section, in which you can easily modify resolution, Codec, size, sample rate, channels, and audio streams. (If you just want keep the original settings, you can skip this Step and directly continue Step four.)
Step four:click "Convert" button on the main interface to begin with the conversion.
Step four: Once the conversion above is completed, you can drag or put the converted files to ur Creative Zen or other portable devices for playback or entertainment.
By the way, Moyea Video Converter is much easier and faster to operate. Moreover, it applies Dolby TrueHD audio technology, which can enhance the output audio effects.
