Creative Vision M Usb Charg

Hello!
I've had a Zen Micor for some time but now teh hardri've has started making these beepnoises and the earphone completely **bleep**ed so I'm planning to get a new player.
I was just wondering since i have my usb charger from my Zen Micro, can i use it with a Creative Vision m? Because what i've heard they are no longer coming with an ac adapter.

Creative vision M: not charging, not even through wall socket.

I had my vision M for some time now, but it as not been used for around a year now.
The other day, i wanted to use it, i plug it in the wall, came back a few hours later it had not charged at all.
I could scroll through my music, but the battery was still "red" i let it charge over night, still nothing.
It seems like the battery has died on me for reason or another.
Is there a way to jump startet it, or is it bricked.

Anyway to turn off screen of Vision M while USB chargi

When I plug my Zen Vision M into the USB port to charge the screen turns on and stays on. Is there any way to turn it off since I am only charging and sometimes leave it overnight?

I'm having the same problem. I just purchased the CZV 60GB. There are no programs running in the background. However, when I power down my player, then put it in the lock position, then connect it to the USB charger, the screen immediately re-lights, a window pops up on my PC asking me what I want to do ? sync with this player, etc... and then no matter what I do, I can't get the screen off. I thought that maybe when the player was fully charged, the screen would finally go off, however, the next AM, the screen was still lit. I don't want to damage or "burn in" the screen. I couldn't find this USB charger on your web site. I purchased it from another retailer. It's a solution for charging your battery when a PC (USB port) isn't availble. What other MP3 players can use this product?
I've noticed a number of questions in re: to charging issues.

From what I remember the Sleek has a special connector that goes to a USB socket, which you then use with a USB cable. Perhaps the Zen Micro car charger will work with it. You either take a risk and get it, or see if one of the Moderators here knows.

And how about a home charger that doesn't have to use the USB cable too? Whoever came up with that idea must be crazy (and me even more so for buying it when I knew this is the way it worked!). Other than that, it's a great piece of kit.
Do you mean USB cable to the PC, or just the USB cable in general? Doesn't the Sleek come with a mains adapter? If not, then you could take the risk again of getting the Micro mains adapter.

Can you try running the recovery tool?
If the screen stays black, please get in touch with support. Check the "Support" folder on your installation CD for Customer Support contact details.

Creative Vision M Probl

The other day the screen on my creative vision M froze so I hit the reset button on the bottom and continued to charge it by USB at my computer. However my mom used it the next day and told me that it seemed to not have charged at all so I decided to retry charging it so i plugged it into my computer again and the blue light by the power switch flashed slowly (which indicates that its charging i think) but nothing appeared on the screen and i can't even power on the mp3 player now... suggestions?

ah.... i guess my mom ran the battery too low, the screen has come up now after about an hour of charging... thanks

When you run your Zen Vision: M off any charger and use it while its plugged in it doesnt take any power from the battery, it uses power from your plug that is transfered through the adapter. Using your Zen Vision:M while charging does slow down the charging process a little bit, but not by much. I hope this explanation has solved your question.

My Vision M stopped charging a while ago, thought it was a faulty charger as the light on the charger plug stopped appearing. Then found that it won't charge via the USB lead. Now when I connect it to the PC all I get is a flashing blue light behind the power switch but no on screen charging symbol, even when left conected for hours. Tried using the Recovery Tool but it says it cannot detect any device. Very frustrating having downloaded 2000+ songs and videos onto it. Any ideas?

How long did you have the player connected to the computer for charging? It may take quite some time to charge up the battery and for the charging symbol to appear. Make sure your player battery is at least 50% charged before you try the Recovery Tool.
If you continue to experience difficulty charging the player, it would be advisable to contact support.

Creative Vision M help

Hi, Ive had a new laptop with windows 7 for around 6 months and a creative vision M for around 5 years. The vision M has worked fine with the laqtop till this weekend. On saturday I thought it would be a good idea to move all my music onto the laptop, incase the mp3 player ever broke. I started the process but an hour in i accidently removed the usb cable. Today I tried to start the process again and now it says "device driver not succesfully installed" when i try to connect it. However, the player still says "docked" but the pc just wont recognise what the problem is. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Im anxious to fix it as only my vision M has my music on it, and now I cant take anything off it, or put anything on. Does anywhere know if I can download a new driver?

Well I finally decided to format?all and it did so(took about 0 minutes). Now when I plug it in it reads it and has the little window on the bottom of the screen that reads "Docked". And when it showed "Docked" which only happened every once in a while before I formated it if it said this then when I tried to add new firmware it would seem like it was working but crash right before it ended. Now even though it says "Docked" when I try to?add new?firmware it says the Zen is not connected.

I found a belkin AC to USB adapter and here are the specs:

That would be for the house. And it should work with a .5V difference, but dont hold my word on it when your player gets hot. Also this is for a Zen Micro?

Hallo all!
During my holidays a tried to charge my Zen Micro Photo without having a PC. I tried two methods - first I used a common power supply with 5V and a little workaround with two wires to load the built out accu. It worked fine until the accu was loaded apporximately up to 80%. I thought o.k., it looks that I can't save the money for a special UBS-travel-charger. That was my next step, I bought a little USB-charger (5V / 500mA)and spent nearly 30 Euros - the result was the same! Has anybody an idea or a hint for me?

I would guess that 500mA is just plain not enough power to charge the device the whole way. I have a Vision:M and the A/C charger it came with is something like 3.6A (3600mA) I believe.

Zen Vision:M power charger/mains supp

Hi all.
Just bought this off Ebay so that I can charge my ZVM in less time than the USB lead takes. I believed when I bought it that it was also a power supply, as in, enabled the ZVM to run off the mains and so not use up the battery. Am I wrong here? And if so, what should I be looking for for the latter?

I'm thinking of buying the SE Zen Mirco, so it won't be coming with a wall charger.
does the usb charger have some known problems? what are its drawbacks (aside from more time to charge).

USB Charg

I have a Creative Zen Touch 40GB (firmware version .0.03), and I'm using a PC with Windows XP SP2. I'm using Windows Media Player 0 and have installed Create Meda source also. My computer is a Dell XPS (Gen 2).
I love this little thing, but for the life of me I can't get it to charge via USB.

When the USB port is plugged in my computer recognizes the device and I can download to it, but the battery icon does not start alternating between battery and battery w/lightining bolt as it does when charging via the AC adapter.
Is it secretly charging and just doesn't want to let me know? Is there some trick to getting USB charging to work?

The Touch will only charge when turned off. It can't support both the data and the power connection.
