DesertKristin: I too am hitting the same wall and the links provide by Adobe Forum Staff do not address this CS6 issue (the above 3 links are not bearing fruit).
I am now trying to download the specific item I am interested in updating per Re: Update runs into Errors from this page: Product updates
So while this may not stop the spew of errors on an automatic universal update from within the app, I can at least isolate what I need and get that updated. (In my case it was Illustrator I wanted updated.)

After Effects CS6 Update fails with the code (U43M1D204)

I was just downloading and installing the latest updates on both my windows workstation and my Apple MBP. Everything went fine on the windows machine but I keep getting the following error when my MBP attempts to update After Effects CS6:
Update Failed
The download appears corrupted. Please try again after a few minutes.
(U43M1D204)
I am running the latest version of Yosemite (10.10.2). Is there some half downloaded file I can delete to make this work? I've waited. I've rebooted. I'm VERY reluctant to delete my current installation of CS6 if this is what is required. I'm an instructor at a local community college. The college currently only runs CS6. I teach an animation class that uses After Effects and as such I need CS6 working on my MBP. If this update is non critical I'll just let it ride. Oh, yea and I also keep AE CC and AE CC 2014 for no other reason than I can take a students CC 2014 file all the way back to CS6 so they can work in class. I'm guessing I'll need to add CC 2015 or what ever they call it so I will have 4 installations of AE just to do file conversions..... but that is another thread.
Any help on the current install issue would be appreciated

What update is it? What current version of CS6 do you have?
It may be a permissions thing. Mac OSX goes all screwy in the permissions whenever it updates. Try fixing that first. fixing permissions problem that impedes start of Adobe applications

Why am I getting "Update Failed" for CS6 in my Creative Cloud updater? I am a paying CC member and the updates for CC work but not for CS6. I may not like keeping CC and want to default to CS6. What is going on with these "Update failed" app updates warnings?

To resolve the any update issue with cretive cloud applicaitons , perform the steps mentioned below

Creative Web Suit missing files; won't finish it's updates

I noticed my adobe web suit package of software was not updating when I opened each app and did updates. I also have an error happening that always asks me to reboot in order to finish the install but after reboot it asks to be rebooted again.
I completely uninstalled the web suit and reinstalled but still the same errors. When I do an add/remove and ask it to reinstall it displays the error can not find "
adobecolorcommonset1.0.1all.msi" and "adobeextendscripttoolkit2.0.2all.msi"
I did a search on the hard drive for those files and their not there. I did a search for them on the disc and their not there.
I think my flash player is affected by this problem and won't finish installing, so I have to finish the suit install. Flash wants to reinstall each time I load a web page with flash on it.
I hope to try and hook up with tech support again but they kept me on the phone waiting for two hours and I missed the tech when he answered, any help anyone can provide might save me time with the tech.

I have uninstalled Web Suit and reinstalled in separate partition in its own folder.
When I restart I still get the error you need to restart the system. I also can not update the software.
I have read the help notes above but they either did not apply or I’ve already done.
“Note: CS3 products are not fit to run on Windows 7 and may also cause problems on Windows Vista”
Tech said this is not the case CS 3 will work on Windows 7 64 bit.
Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool
I’ve download and ran after uninstalling Web Suit-the cleaner found nothing to remove and quit.
Regarding Flash Player:
Tech support said Flash will not work with Internet explorer 9 just IE 8 and told me to start using chrome. Even using chrome I’m having problems with flash on some videos.

Same issue here:
UPDATE FAILED: The download appears corrupt. Please try again. (U43M1D204)
Tried several times. Tried logging out. Tried rebooting. Used the Adobe uninstaller and reinstalled the app. Same thing. Running Yosemite.
(Lightroom did the same thing, too, but I just uninstalled the old one and installed the new one. Bridge was acting up too, but I just got rid of it.)
I'm not really enjoying this. If I'm missing something obvious, this would be a good place to point it out :-)

Resolved - CS6 Updates Fail with U44M1P7

CS6 Design & Web Premium - all product updates fail with U44M1P7 since Creative Cloud was introduced.
Two questions:
1. I saw earlier case which pointed to http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/photoshop-cs6-updates-dont-install.html. For my clarification, does this solution mean I have to Uninstall & Reinstall CS6 from scratch?
2. I did not mean to install, nor do I want Creative Cloud. So how do I get it off my computer and keep it off?

This was a Windows7 Ultimate 64-bit system
No Replies, but persistence prevails ...
Following resoplution steps worked for me, resulting in all products being Up To Date post reboot:
1. Start > Control Panel > Uninstall "Adobe Extension Manager CS6"
2. Reboot
3. Reinstall "Adobe Extension Eanager CS6"
     a. I had original download files saved and used them.
     b. But, download from http://www.adobe.com/exchange/em_download/em6_download.html produced same files
4. Reboot
5. Performed Validations:
     a. Started Adobe Application Manager (which starts Creative Cloud)
         1. Select "Install or update an application" and all products are noted as "Up to date".
     b. Started Adobe Creative Cloud
         1. Select "Install or update an application" and all products are noted as "Up to date".
     c. Selected "Help > Updates" from within Dreamweaver, Fireworks & Photoshop (64-bit) CS6 (random choices)
         1. All products are noted as "Up to date".
FYI, I noted that some other cases noted resolution with install of "Extension manager CC" (i.e. Createive Cloud)
     I did not install this product.
Case closed for me. Hope this helps someone else.

I will suggest to uninstall the Photoshop CC and completely clean Photoshop CC using Creative Cloud Cleaner tool.
you can download CC cleaner tool from : http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html
and cleaning reinsall phothshop CC using Creative cloud and then try to update the application.
Please let us know incase if you still face any issue

Why does Photoshop CS6 Update fail?

I subscribed to Creative Cloud (CS6) and none of the Photoshop PS6 updates work. Every time I attempt to update PS6 the past four weeks, I get this error message: "Update Failed- Errors encountered during installation.(U44M1P7)." How to fix? My PS6 won't update, and Adobe tech support hasn't been able to help, I've contacted them via CHAT twice. I'm running an iMac with 12GB of RAM, OSX 10.8.4.

In February 2013 I installed CS 6 Design Standard on an iMac 2013 with Fusion Drive running OS 10.8.4 and I've never been able to update.
The updates always fail with this report: There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later. Error Code: U43M1D204.
When you click the customer support link in that message you go to a Creative Cloud page with no useful links.
I am still using CS 6 but I would like to update.

Recent Media Encoder 2014 and Premiere CS6 Updates Fail

For the past month or so the Media Encoder 2014 and Premiere CS6 updates are failing to install within the App Updater. The error message is U44M1P34.
What's the solution?

CS6 Update failed

I saw there was an update for CS6 in my Creative Cloud app, so I clicked "Update", but it was unsuccessful. I'm not using it much these days, and it seems to still work fine, so I'm wondering, am I missing something major by not having the update?

That's the one I have... And mine says it's up to date.

If it's telling you that you need a Photoshop CS6 update, maybe it's an update for Camera Raw?

I am trying to download the new update (Adobe Illustrator 16.0.4 update) for Ai CS6 and it keeps telling me "Update Failed: Updates cannot be applied" What might be the problem? Help!

CS6 Update Fail

I was updating InDesign CS6 in order to open PageMaker files. While attempting, I received the "update fail, download error, press retry to try again or contact customer support (49) error message. I attempted a couple additional times with no luck. PLEASE ASSIST.

I had a similar problem, most likely caused by MacKeeper which had removed some "not used" information. I reinstalled CS6 and then from within CS6 (under help menu) started update again and all worked fine.

Run the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool, let AAM reinstal lthe apps, then try to ru nteh updates again. These are blocakges/ version conflicts across different Adobe products using specific shared components where program A's updates prevent program B from doing its thing...
