Creative webcam live!

i just bought first time i used it it works perfectly and the second time it doesn't work anymore it say's No supported creative camera detected. please plug in but it was plug in to continue, i open it again this time in my ym it say's webcam is not connected but ut was connected. if someone could help me i really appreaciate it, it's my second creative webcam. Help please!!!

Are you getting this error from the Webcam Control software or is this appearing in the task bar from the Wecam Detector program?
Do you have any additional hardware installed typically a scanner or maybe a tv capture card?
Try going into Scanners and Cameras, what do you see there?

I have trouble with my camera and the Live! Cam Doodling software. The program say that the camera is not supported. Is there anyway that i not have an Live! camera model. On the backside of the camera the model number is : VF0070 Thanks in advance.

I'm afraid your Live! Ultra webcam isn't compatible with the Live! Cam Doodling software.

My Creative WebCam Live! VF0050

At first i thought my seperate creative microphone that arrived with the cam didnt work but after reading peoples comments on here i checked my windows - all programs - accessories - entertainment on my windows and the sound tester works.... and i went back on Yahoo and tryed the sound checker they have to test it and it worked but im wondering why people are questioning mic at first....i havent tryed it on webcam yet but im guessing if it works with the windows tester and yahoo tester then its fine? On the microphone it has a little button thing that i thought would light up when i plugged it into my mic hole on my modem but it didnt light up so i questioned it only because they didnt put directions on the microphone...but it made kind of a noise to know i plugged it in...maybe thats only a design and doesnt matter since it worked on the tester and ya i was confused when the directions didnt mention the microphone but i guess everything is ok then? its not supposed to have any real microphone echo or anything kinda like real singer type microphones right? because it seems dead unless i use the tester and see the lines go up and down and thats it.....and when i chose to use it when i go on cam how do i do it's are you supposed to click anything or no? i have Windows XP if that matters at all.

After plugging the same camera into another computer, I got the same "pink" problem. I just went down and exhcanged it at a local store here, and the problem went away. So it seems that my camera just went BAD.

Creative webcam Live! [video issues]

i thought this camera was meant to have superb quality, and when i try it out, its very blurry when it ake pictures and webcam. Any help here would be appreciated.

Creative WebCam Live.....do you have to download the mic drivers?

I am running Windows 98 SE. I just got the cam and have not installed it yet. I don't want to connect the mic, I have a nice cushy headset I like better. Also I am not real keen on downloaded all the unwanted programs that come with the CD. What to do?

I had the same problem and this is how I remedied it:
START/CONTROL PANEL/SOUND, SPEECH/SOUND&AUDIO DEVICES
AUDIO/SOUND RECORDING
Check the DEFAULT DEVICE to be sure it is your sound card.
VOLUME .. click on it and this will bring up a list of the sound devices.
CLICK ON MICROPHONE
APPLY
This SHOULD do it.

HELP WITH The Creative WebCam Live!

I installed it and all of a sudden it stopped working. It goes "Intiallizing Camera" then it goes "Failed". It wont detect the camera. I have two computers and it works on the other one fine, but why wont it work on this computer? They're both windows XP. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!

check the device manager see if there are any problems with the usb ports then uninstall any problem, then go to action and scan for hardware changes, or just plug cam in and it should recognize it and install drivers

I have just bought creative webcam live pro, and i put in the instalation CD but it does contain the Creative webcam center...
anyone know what to do?

Webcam Live! Capture Video Not Working

I have Creative Webcam Live! Previously, I was able to use the capture function to take small video clips.
I am no longer able to do so. When I attempt to Capture a video, the screen freezes but the time does start to count up as if a video is taking. When I stop the capture, a video clip box appears on the right hand side, but it's blank. When I attempt to play the blank box, the little indicator that scrolls across the bottom of a video when it plays moves about an inch and keeps looping. Please help. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software. Still doesn't work. Thank you.

I'd suggest the following. First thing to do is to see if there is a live video being displayed in the webcam app. Assuming that there is then it would look like the camera is installed correctly.
There may be another capture device interfering with caputre so what would be a good idea would be to clear out the C windows twain and windows twain 32 folder. Backup the contents first then delete. You'll have to reload the camera software afterwards

I found a fix that worked for me and I hope it works for anyone else experiencing the same issue. I had to Manually delete the UpperFilters and LowerFilters registry values.
To Manually delete the UpperFilters and LowerFilters registry values, follow these steps:
1. Start Registry Editor (Regedit.exe).
START > RUN > (Type) REGEDIT (and hit ENTER)
2. Locate the UpperFilters and LowerFilters value under the following key in the registry
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\{6BDDFC6-80F-D0-BEC7-08002BE2092F}
3. On the Edit menu, click Delete, and then click OK.
NEXT: I went to my Device Manager in Windows XP > IMAGING DEVICES > CREATIVE WEBCAM LIVE! ULTRA then right mouseclicked and chose DISABLE. I Then Right mouse clicked again and chose ENABLE. Then Wallah! My webcam led cam on and the darn thing started working again.
HOW I DISCOVERED WHAT TO DOI came across a link to a similar problem regarding a CD-Rom Driver install issue returning Error Code 9. This was the same error code that I recieved when trying to re-install my webcam drivers. So I poked around the registry near a similar path (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contr ol\Class\) as mentioned in the article found at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/34060/EN-US/ until I ran across an entry that said Imaging Devices in it.

Webcam live! mic

I just got a creative WebCam Live. It installed perfectly except when i plugged my mic in, it didn't work. I have tried to adjust the volume on the mic and i have even went into the cam center and clicked on the audio. I don't know what people are talking about when they are talking about the audio compressor, I can see you can turn it on and off and there are different settings except i don't know which one to set it to. Can anybody help me?

Webcam Live Pro! Computer crashing driver problem

I have had the Webcam Live Pro! for a few months running on a Windows XP Home Emachines with a .8 ghz AMD processor. The driver that comes with the CD out of the box has a conflict that causes the entire computer to shut down and reboot (or sometimes to freeze) when using third-party software, such as an instant messenger. I originally called the Creative Techs about this, and they told me that there was no problem with the driver. But a month later, a new driver was posted on their web site that claimed to fix this exact problem. I uninstalled the old driver and installed the new driver. But the problem came back even with the new driver. The only handle I can get on it is that the problem tends to re-appear after using the camera for a number of days. That is, the shutdown/freeze problem goes away when I uninstall the driver and then re-install the driver. But then a few days of use (one hour a day, typically) causes the problem to reappear. Then the problem re-occurs every few minutes until I uninstall the driver and re-install the driver. After that I can use the camera for a few hours before the crash problem returns.
I am using this camera on a machine that I use for nothing more than video conferencing. No games or junk. I do not even do word processing on this computer. The computer crashes only when using the Creative Webcam Live Pro! I wish they would really fix this driver. I would pay double for this camera if it worked well. As it is now, I am researching other cameras.

If your windows XP machine reboots?while using Capture or when you are using Skype video calling of Yahoo video calling, try using a USB port that plugs directly into you mother board. Also make sure it is a USB2 port and not a USB port. I had the camera plugged into a USB card that I added to my computer and it caused it to reboot after using the camera for a short time. If the problem persists, remove the program and reinstall making sure the camera is not connected to your computer until the software tells you to hook it up.

Installing Webcam Live! on Windows Vista x64

This will inform all of the poor consumers who bought a camera shortly before vista was released, only to realize that the camera would not work with thier operating system that they would soon update too. I was very frustrated trying to get my "Webcam Live!" to work with windows vista ultimate 64 bit edition so i did some trial and error, trying basically every driver on the site.
step 1: be sure that your camera is unplugged, and you dont have any remnants of other drivers on your system, and download the driver for Windows XP Professional 64 bit located here?http://us.creative.com/support/downl...type=0&x=9&y=7
Step 2: right click the setup?icon and click properties
Step 3: click the "compatibility" tab click "run this program in compatibility mode for:" and select Windows XP (Service pack 2)
Step 4: right click the setup icon and choose "run this program as administrator" proceed with setup. The setup may get hung up, but as long as it gets to 100% before freezing you should still be okay.
Step 5: Plug your camera in?Step6: Open your device driver. In my case the driver installed correctly and that was the last step. you may have to manually install the driver by clicking on the device, clicking update driver, and then point the computer to where it was installed to. this was very frustrating for me to figure out and took me about 2 hours. i hope i saved you some time, good luck.

Im unable to install itunes 7.0.2 because each time I try to i get an error message saying I have insufficient access to that key...the key being HKEYlocalmachine\software\microsoft windows\...etc, etc. etc...
