Creative X-fi not working in Vi

I installed Vista upgrade and no matter what I do I cant get any sound. Ive installed, uninstalled, reinstalled a dozen times and I still cant get sound. I get the speaker in the bottom right that says "No Audio Output Device is installed". I even booted in safe mode and ran driver cleaner to make sure there was a fresh install of the drivers and same thing. I looked on the creative forums but I couldn't get any info there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I have used so many Asus boards over the years that myhouse is still occupied by three. This problem is everywherethe only the X-FI Extreme is rumoured to be free of it. Theavailable betas simply do not work. I have tried normalinstallation, Safe Mode installation, registry hacks to enableinstallation, manual installation but still the?OS will notrecognise the driver?file. It also gets better Creative are sayingthat no final build drivers will be available for either 32 Bit or 64 BitVista until March. I know you have onboard codec chips on theseboards so I would?disable the Creative and fire up the codec soundthere are drivers?available for both 32 Bit and 64 Bit Vista and thesework. Its a waiting game I am afraid but to be honest Creativesattitude regarding this issue is arrogant and it stinks. N. T.W.

    Try perform below steps.
    Open task manager by pressing Ctrl + Shift + Esc  keys. Click on more details if the option available.
    Then end all Adobe related processes, including Creative Cloud and Coresync ( if running )
    Then hold windows key on your keyboard and Press R key.
    It will open Run window
    In Run window, type Appdata and click on Ok
    Open Local > Adobe folders
    Delete AAMUpdater and OOBE folders
    Then navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe
    Delete Adobe Application Manager and OOBE folders
    Go back to Program Files (x86) and Open Adobe folder
    Try deleting Adobe Creative Cloud folder, if it is not allowing rename it to Adobe Creative Cloudold
    Download and install Creative Cloud App from below link

  • Creative Inspire 6600 Not Working Properly!

    Hi
    I bought my Inspire 6600 6.1 about 1 year and 3 months ago. Since recently my speakers have stopped working from time to time, for example the speakers will not work at all one day the next day it will work perfectly. The problem is that the speakers wont give any sound out, will be very low sound, high amount of static and it will jump from speaker to speaker (I Cant Explain The Problem Properly). I am really disappointed with how long these speakers lasted (How long the speakers didn?t last). It seems to be a complete waist of money because as soon as the warranty expires the speakers stop working. Now I may have to purchase a new set of speakers, one thing I will garniture you that I won't buy Creative Speakers Again. If anyone knows how to fix this problem please help!

    it seams to me that creative had had a lot of trouble with their 6.1 range, both the 6600 and the 6700 have major problems with them and this kind of thing happens. i just gave up fixing mine and bought me a set of p5800 which are fantastic, downgrading from the 6.1 to 5.1 wasnt nice but im happy with it now. honestly mate i dont think its all creative speakers that have this problem just the 6600 and the 6700.but if you are going to buy another set of creative speakers have a search for them on the forum first, see if people and if so how many people have a problem with them. that way you have a better idea.

  • Lightroom via Creative Cloud is not working.

    I have a problem. I have One Year, Paid Monthly plan. I'm paying every month automatically, the next payment is in a week but when I'm trying to open Lightroom now it shows me that "0 days remaining" and is not allowing me to use it. I upadated it and it's still not working even on my profile it shows me that it's actual/updated.
    I really need it badly now and don't know what to do?

  • Creative Suite 3 not working properly

    I have CS3 and most of the components quit working so I tried reinstalling. This did not work and the website told me to unistall then reinstall...This did not work either. Does anyone out there have any idea what to do?? I have the disc but it will not load. When I look up solutions I can't find anything that is working. Please help as I need this software yesterday!! I am desperatley behind on projects.

    Sorry...my operating system is Windows XP Media Center SvPack 3 running both mozilla and internet explorer...I have been on the adobe website most of night and even called. However, the techs are not in on the weekends and the guy I talked to could not help me.

  • Creative CLOUD does not work

    I just got a new computer with windows 8 operating system...joined this adobe creative cloud mess.   Photoshop, which i joined for, is not even downloaded... Lightroom has downloaded and works, nothing else works.  I spent thelast two days reading all of the information about everything, and nothing works... all of these discussion forums, offer no answers, i want  the program to work, and i would not like to pay for days of troubleshooting, and your quick fixes that you have used in the past, i want it to work on my computer without having to take another college class and reading all of the previouis problems, because i had faith enough to join without looking into reviews on google, about how bad this service is.
    This has been an awful experience, it is not even simple enough to just report issues and get a response, as i am spending my money on your product and it isnt working, i call for help, and you are closed for the holidays, but your system to take my money is not closed...That is very special.   Thanks for your blacker, than black friday.

    sometimes some of them behave like bulls in a china shop. Despite this negative news, you might be consoled a little bit, because I also had to do this experience.
    Sometimes - for whatever reasons - CC doesn't "want" to work. In this case you should CC completely delete and reinstall by help of Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool. (A try to uninstall by own resources is not enough!)

  • Creative Cloud Does Not Work - Need to Cancel

    Several months ago I decided to try Creative Cloud rather than purchase software update when I switched from my MAC to a new Windows 8 PC.
    Initially I was able to sign up and download but the products locked up and I could not use.
    I uninstalled and reinstalled but same issues.
    I updated OS to Windows 8.1 and tried to download again.  Still won't work.
    So I refreshed my PC which removes all software and puts it back to state it came from factory then updated all Microsoft software and drivers etc.
    Reinstalled everything with few issues except for Adobe Creative Cloud.
    I can log in, but when I go to the page for Documents or Download all I get is a  blank white page whether using IE or Chrome (latest versions of each).
    I can't see any download links so I can't install products so I can't use.
    After months of paying for something I can't use I am giving up.  I want a refund.  I have spent untold hours trying to get this to work.  It simply isn't worth the hassle.
    I have good bandwidth, a relatively new and powerful computer, all of the latest updates for OS etc.  No issues with Microsoft products or other products - just Adobe Creative Cloud problems.
    Please have someone contact me about how I can cancel and get a refund.  I am certain you can tell from your servers that I have not used the products in months after initial download and issues resulting from that.
    I don't have time to spend hours trying to get something to work and I can't tell you how many hours I spent on the refresh which was simply to try and get Adobe Creative Cloud working since everyting else on my computer worked but Adobe would cause lockup and even blue screen in one instance when I tried to utilize.

  • Creative Zen V not work

    Hello,?I've purchased a Creative Zen V 2 GB, the first time I used it it freezed at "rebuilding library". I could not do anyting, I could not reset it either, so I sent it back. A few weeks later I received the player again, I put some music on and it worked fine. But right now, it is again freezed at "rebuilding library" for?2 days. I had to recharge the battery, but it still isn't working. I tried to reset the player but that doesn't work so I also can't get to the trouble menu. My computer also does not recognize the player anymore. Does anyone else have these kinds of problems? What should I do?

    Re-formatting worked for me. Also only transferring wma lossless files has kept my player from freezing. For some reason it would not accept numerous wav or mp3 files using both the Creative software and Windows media player . Two weeks and counting with just loading wma's and no continued freezes. Good luck.

  • Creative suite 4 not working

    Hi, my name is Yehudis Kleiman. I am having trouble with my Adobe Creative Suite 4 Design Premium. I've been having trouble with it ever since I got the programs. I was on the phone many times with adobe and nothing was ever fully solved. I though in the beginning that the problem was coming from my graphics card so I went out and bought a new one (which Adobe told me which ones were supported by) The graphics card is a GeForce GTX260 Core 216 896MB. Once I got this card things got a little better for a short while. Now my photoshop just tells me all the time NOT RESPONDING....... It takes a really long time for it to do anything and it shuts off on me a lot. Illustrator doesn't always open up for me, and when if does open it gives me problems. I also  should mention I tried my programs on another computer to see if It was my computer that was causing trouble and no It didn't work either on the other computer. I really need my programs I am a trying to be a graphic artist and I am loosing out on money from all the problems here.
    My customer id# is 196302032. and my case No. from last call is 204622736.
    I think that this is crazy and if it is not resolved soon I think Adobe should send me a free upgrade of CS5.

    If CS4 don't work then CS5 won't work either.
    This is a user to user forum and nobody from Adobe will read this.
    You put nothing in here for anybody to help you with anyways.
    What operating system? 32 bit or 64 bit?
    How much RAM?
    How much hard drive space remaining?
    Go to the Nvidia website and update the video card drivers from there?
    What does Windows event viewer say about errors? You need to post the errors here for people to look at.

  • Photoshop on creative suite 2 not working

    I have creative suite 2 and everything is working fine except photoshop. When i click on photoshop icon, a questionmark appeared on the icon and would not open. Is there any plug in missing, can that be fixed? i still have the software do i have install the whole package (4 installer discs) or a particular one?

    I think i found the problem. i went to every single folder on creative suite. each folder has own app file which meant that indesign folder has indesign.app while photoshop has indesign.app instead of photoshop cs2 app. i think those files are mixed up and can that be fixed?  i add screen shot.

  • Creative Console Launcher not working after Vista Ultimate upgr

    I have a Dell XPS700 with the Creative SB X-Fi soundcard and fi've speakers. Surround Sound for MP3, WAV, TV etc Was working great under Win XP Pro SP2. Now, I can't seem to configure the rear speakers. When I go to Start - All Programs - Sound Blaster X-Fi - Creative Console Launcher, I get a "The console for the current mode of your audio device cannot be launched." message and I cannot select the Entertainment Mode.

    Actually, you need to/should update your drivers (Creative *has* Vista-ready drivers for the X-Fi, including a new Audio Console). The only cards that Creative does *not* have Vista drivers for are cards *older* than the base Audigy (the only relati'vely new card affected is the Audigy SE). The base Audigy (in fact, *all* Audigy-series except the SE) has Vista beta drivers available (and a new Audio Console is part of the package).

  • Creative Fatal1ty Mic Not Working

    Hey guys, Ive just recently bought a new headset (the creative fatal1ty gaming headset) and the speakers work fine, but the microphone just isnt working. It being detected, it just not picking up sound. My sound card is the Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi running on Windows 64-bit. I have all the obvious things done correctly, the mic is plugged into the correct jack, the mic is not muted, the mics sound is at 100, and I have the latest drivers for my sound card. Any one have any suggestions, Ive really run out of ideas after fooling with this for a few hours.

    I'm having the same problem , my pc detects the mic but no sound is being emited from it.
    I'm using an realtek high definition audio onboard sound card.(other mics have worked fine on this card)
    I have the none USB version , and i double checked to make sure the mic is properly
    inserted in the headset and PC, (the line on the removeable mic lines up with the groove in the headset)
    Can someone from creative please help??\

  • Creative Centrale Does not work

    Hi everyone!!
    I've tried installing the Creative Centrale several times but everytime i try to start the application it says that the program needs to shut down and asks if i want to send an error report. I have quite a few videos that i'd really like to get on my new player but without Creative Centrale is there any way to do that. I also have Format Factory downloaded is there any way to use that to get the videos to work on this player?

    I am having the same problems as the person who previously posted this but I do not want to transfer videos. I want my Zen mozaic to work because I cannot transfer any of the new songs I've downloaded until my Library opens up with the Creative Centrale program. I have had this Zen mosiac for several months and havent had a problem until the last 2 weeks. I tried the recovery tool but the same message board pops up saying the program cannot open and sorry for the inconvenience. Is there anything I can do?

    All it does when I download and go to install/open is take me to the Adobe Application manager--I do not have the option to sync files or fonts. Please help.
