Creative X-Fi Titanium PCI-E (Digital Output)

Hi,
at the moment I'm using an onboard chip from Realtek. And the only way to get 5. Sound trough my Digital Output (DVI-Slot of my Zotac 8800GT) is when playing a?DVD-Movie or somthing similar. I only get stereo sound, when playing games.
Now I'm interested in the "Creative X-Fi Titanium PCI-E Retail". Can this Soundcard pass the sound through my Digital Output (DVI-Slot of my Zotac 8800GT) in 5.. Or is it a general problem, that 5. Sound of Games can't be pass trough Digital Output?

The Creative X-Fi Titanium PCI-E supports Dolby Digital Li've and DTS Connect which will allow you to have 5. audio from your games via S/PDIF out.

@SB X-FI Titanium.. Digital output works but Analog Signal M. I.A. Hi Guys,
I recently installed a new hard dri've on my machine after my power supply failed and fried it. After reinstaling Vista 64 and my drivers I noticed that my sound card was not working properly.
In.. control pannel > Sound > Playback I see my soundblaster listed but only the digital out is showing. There are two other icons listed.. one is for "Digital Output Device 2-High Definition Audio Device.. and one for a 3-High Definition Audio Device. I don't remember these being listed when my sound card was working properly before the HD crash.
No icon representing my analog output (Left/Right, Center, and Rear?Speakers)?is displayed. I reinstalled the drivers, updated the drivers, reformatted my HD and started all over again but nothing works.
I made sure that my motherboard sound card is disabled.. I am really stumped.. The sound card used to work quite well.. Has anyone else had this problem and been able to fix it's
    Here is my system info:
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-MA790FXT-UD5P (Realtek Audio Disabled)
Sound Card: Internal Sound Blaster X-FI Titanium
    Any advice is much appreciated.

DRe: SB X-FI Titanium.. Digital output works but Analog Signal M. I.A. High definition audio device is what your card is detected as until you install the original CD driver or the Daniel K 2.0 support pack. Then you can update to the newest Creative drivers. I tried to format just like you and thought that I would just download Creative's newest driver and start from there. No Go!!? The newest Creative driver seems to install, but then after reboot like you, I have multimedia audio device.
So take out your CD if you have it, and run the driver setup only. Then using just this driver you can install all of the newer Creative updates. The Creative auto updater is installed along with your original driver and you will see it detect all available updates.
    Easiest solution of all,
Try this pack and save yourself a load of hassle........

This will install a very proper Creative driver, and applications that will work very very well on your system compared to the CD orignals

  • PCI-6023E & digital output

    Hello,
I have a PCI-6023E and I want to generate a continous pulse train with a digital output line, and I need to know the maximum frequency for this pulse train that I can generate.
Thanks a lot for your answer.
    Regards, Anacelia

    Hi Anacelia,
You should not realy on this answer without verifying with NI first. So here goes.
Page 347 of the catalog indicates the supported data transfer mode is "programed I/O". This indicates that each line state change must be initiated by an operation of the controlling software. Therefore, the upper frequency limit is determined by how often the code that sets or resets the line runs.
So, the upper limit is determined by the software and the environment it is running in. If you are woring in Windows environment, and your machine is faster than about 400 Mhz then there are two factors to concider when answering your question. How fast does the code run, and how deterministic is it.
If determinism is not an issue, you could resonably expect to get
about one update every 10ms if the code is clean. This would give you 100 update per second or about 50Hz.
If determinism is required, and you are not running in a Real Time environment, the above estimates should be backed off. Anything above 5-10Hz is going to be questionable.
Like I said, verify what I have said with NI.
    I hope this helps,

  • PCI 7342 digital output

I am using PCI 7342 motion controller and UMI7772. There are 6 relays in my system, which are 24Vdc coil voltage and 37mA coil current for each. Can I use digital output on PCI 7342 through UMI7772 to drive these relays?
PCI7342's digital output is 0-5V, 24mA, but through UMI7772, I can get 5-30Vdc, 100mA output. Am I right? I am not sure 100mA is total or for each output.
    Thanks for reply.

Don't forget that a relay is basically an inductor and therefore the inrush current can be somewhat higher than the rated current. But I don't think that this might cause problems in this application.
In any case you should connect a breakdown diode in parallel with the relay coil to keep off inducted voltage from the 734x outputs, or some other snubber circuitry.

  • Titanium PCIe SB0880, analog 7.1 and upmix films 5.1- 7.1

    I have:
    - Creative X-Fi Titanium PCIe sb0880 (purchase march 2009),
    - Drivers and software from Daniel_K last 3.0a version (08.25.2014),
    - Acoustic system 7.1 with ampliefer (without audio processor, there no hardware mixing of MultiCH stereo and so on as reciever),
    - Analog connection between the amplifier and soundcard (3.5" miniJack).
In theory, which works in Windows XP (or worked before, I used it until 2010) for my soundcard, upmix from 5.1 ac3-track to 7.1 (5.1 -> 7.1 with adding 2 sides virtual channels from mixing by X-Fi built-in decoder) must be as follows:
In my Windows 8.1 driver's Decoder tab is missing. I tried to install a different versions of the driver (Official and Daniel Kawakami) with complete cleaning system (with registry entries and ultimate uninstall) but in vain — desired options don't appear. I have found these support posts:
    - No Decoder Option on Sound Card
    - Suggested Setup to Perform Decoding with your Playstation 3
Then similar posts on this forum:
    - Decoder tab missing with latest X-Fi driver
    - X-Fi: Decoder tab missing?
There staits that now decoder option is not available in Titanium driver — use the Cyberlink PowerDVD soft. It really works (with software Cyberlink audio decoder in PowerDVD):
But how to use the Cyberlink decoder for other players? Or maybe there are other ways to get the same result with Dolby Pro Logic IIx software decoder or with enabling built-in Decoder tab in my driver?

Thank you for your clever response. I've been using this set.
In Media Player Classic (K-Lite Codecs Pack) when playing a movie from a multichannel track there is activated ffdshow audio decoder (mixer 3/2/2 - 7 channels + LFE):
When playing a 5.1-tracks don't work 2 side speakers (Side ch.), the decoder shows the following information:
When playing a 7.1-track works all speakers, and the decoder shows, all working good:
Perhaps the only required setting Media Player Classic and ffdshow audio decoder, to achieve this. While I solved the problem by copying the sound signal from rear channels (Surround/Back) to the side speakers (Side ch.) by mixer in ffdshow. But this is only a temporary solution (russian language interface):
PS: Creative's CMSS3D and DTS Neo:PC just makes upmix 2.0->5.1/7.1 (very impressive!) but never 5.1->7.1...

  • X-Fi Titanium PCI-E x1 and known UT3 OpenAL issue still not fixed!!!!!!!

Dear creative support... wtf is this?! This issue is known since so looooooong time, as i've read at other forums fixed with all other x-fi sound cards but with not my one. Installed yesterday latest beta driver, day before yesterday i've been using stable 2.7.0008 driver and with both versions i got this **bleep** annoying crash.
I want to remember to you issue details: random crashes of game during play it with ingame OpenAL enabled.
I have 5. speakers set and i want to play the game with surround audio, i can get it only by enable OpenAL in game menu so do not even try to suggest to me to disable OpenAL!!! I tried many known "fixes" and workarounds, using latest versions of driver but issue still happens to me.
IF this issue will not be fixed i will buy asus xonar asap, temporary i just have no money to buy new sound card. Gi've me driver fixing this issue, ffs!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Here is full PC configuration:
    AMD Phenom II x4 B35 2,9GHz
    Palit Radeon HD3850 52MB GDDR3 PCI-Ex
    Creative X-Fi Titanium pci-e x
    3xGB Kingmax DDR2 066MHz
    Gigabyte GA-MA785GM-US2H

This is the only game with which i have a problem.
I contacted with support via email form, they suggested to me to contact with game's customer support i did so and waiting for answer from them.
Creative support in answer said that this issue happens not only with creative x-fi products but unfortunately it's not true. In many forums problem were analysed by users and result is one: x-fi users only are facing this issue. Also before i bought card i've been playing long time ut3 with integrated realtek sound card and there was no problem with enabled openal, it shown up when i bought and installed x-fi titanium sound card.

  • Connecting X-Fi Titanium PCIe to Inspire 5700 speakers - digital connection

I am considering purchasing an X-Fi Titanium PCIe card (or possibly, the X-Fi Titanium Fatalty Pro), and want to connect this to my existing speakers: Creative Inspire 5700 (5.).
The speakers currently connect to my Audigy 2 card via a single 3.5mm connector into the Digital Out socket on the sound card. Looking at the specifications of the X-Fi cards, I don't think they have such 3.5mm digital sockets. Can anyone confirm this, and tell me if/how I can connect my speakers?
    Thanks,
    Gary

    OThanks, Juzam.
If I do this, will I still get true 5. surround sound? Will there be any difference between the way the speakers perform between using the optical connection and the 3.5mm digital one (via DIN)?
    Thanks,
    Gary

  • X-Fi titanium digital output

    ? Hello,
I'm planning to buy the X-Fi titanium sound card to use it with my digital home theatre. As I read the specifications, the card can only output digital signal through optical signal. My home theatre only have coaxial digital input. My question is if I can use jack to rca adaptor plugged in the card and enable digital output signal in control panel. I used this function succesfully with older SB Li've 5. and Audigy 2 NX but I'm not sure with XFI titanium card. I know about the digital I/O module but I couldn't find at any store in my country.
Can anyone help or maybe can test this?
    Thanks

    Dear sir:
I have called Creative Labs for 3 months looking to buy the Digital I/O Module. They continued to tell me they were out and did not know when they would be in. April st I called again, and what do you know? They had them. I ordered it and it arri'ved in about fi've days. So you may have luck ordering these in your country. I have looked online for the last few months as well and many of the places that I looked were waiting for Creative Labs to restock the part. So be sure to check back with anyone you may have tried to order from.

  • Trouble specifying TTL for digital outputs from PCI-6221

    Hi!
I'm trying to generate TTL output signals using a PCI-6221 daq board - within Labview, I'm using DaqMx to create two digital waveforms and then write these. When I plug in an oscilloscope, the shapes/frequencies of the signals are correct, but the lower value is 0V, and the higher value is 1V, rather than the TTL values. Is there a way to specify these voltage levels to TTL within the software? I see from NI help that "do.logicfamily" exists to specify TLL, but when I add a property node and connect it to the channels, I do not see Logic Family as an option under "digital output." Let me know if you have any ideas!
    Thank you,
    Emily

Set your oscilloscope to use 1MOhm impedence.  Your problem is that the maximum current for those DIO is 24mA.  1V/50 Ohms = 20mA.  So you are current limiting the digital outputs.  If you need more current, then you need to add in some digital buffer chips that can output more current.

  • 5.1 on Digital-in Creative X-FI TITANIUM

Does the X-Fi Titanium PCI-E support 5. thru its SPDIF-in port?
Thinking of using it to hook a Xbox 360 and connect it via my PC to my 5. speakers.

So, I couldn't figure this out on my Marshal, but as my watercooling had to drop around in my PC today, I reinstalled my Maximus 4 Extreme and still have the same problem. I uninstalled all drivers, reinstalled the newest one and the audio control panel can't detect any supported devices.
The funny thing is, not even the recognition patch recognizes anything and I get a similiar error. :D
Well, guess I better reinstall Windows, don't I^^ Again, generally the sound works, I just can't adjust anything, so I think the soundcard itself works properly.
Thanks, for further questions I'll ask the Creative support as this really hasn't anything to do with MSI boards anymore.

  • PCI 6014 and BNC 2110 digital output

    Hi,
I try to use PCI-6014 through BNC-2110 to giving on a digital output 5V.
    Please give advice or examples.
    Thanks

First, there's the Getting Started with DAQmx. Then on the Measurement I/O>DAQmx palette is the DAQ Assistant. Also, open the example finder and from the main tab, go to Hardware Input & Output>DAQmx>Digital Generation. The simplest examples are Write to Digital Port and Write to Digital Line.

  • Can PCI 6519 IO card support waveform(digital) output ??

It is quite hard to find out in the spec.
NI group all the series of DAQ board in the spec.
Can anyone tell me if it can support waveform output .
    The waveform is about 1Khz
    thx very much.

The PCI-6519 does not support hardware-timed digital I/O. You can update the digital output one sample at a time in software, so you are limited by the speed of the computer you are using as to how fast the updates can be.

    OK Status update:
I posted this question on the Dutch forum as well. I am happy to tell you all that in the Dutch forum Dragonfly is one of the moderators. He knows his MSI stuff
He gave me the solution to my problem. So just in case anyone else has a similar problem and can't read Dutch, here it is
He advised me to start the Media Live up with no monitor or TV attached to it at all. Then start up with either a monitor or a TV attached to it. Lo and behold.... the problem is solved.

  • X-Fi Titanium digital output h

    Hi,?
I'm using the digital output of my card to output to a Pioneer 5: AV receiver.
I've used this receiver with many things, and have yet to have a problem with it, but for some reason, I can only get audio when I select 'Play Stereo Mix using Digital Output' in the settings - and in this case, it's obviously only stereo, not multi channel. If I don't have this selected, I have no multi-channel audio what-so-ever not even from the front 2 speakers.
    Can anyone help?

Is this for games or music? Anyway make sure you have downloaded the latest drivers, there is a brand new set out today. Secondly make sure you have set your sound settings to "speakers" in the vista ( not creative ) sound panel. Finally under the encoder settings make sure you choose dolby digital li've or DTS. I prefer DTS with DTS connect for music as it sounds better than using DDL and CMSS3D which distorts sound.
