Creative Zen V "Unable to Continue Ripping and Transfering. Application will Stop&qu

I have added 6 CDS to my Zen V 4GB using the Creative Audio CD Ripper, however everytime I try to add more I get the "Unable to Continue Ripping and Transfering. Application will Stop"? error message. I have now tried using the Audible Manager Rip CD option and now just get an error message when it tries to transfer the track. I have restarted the software and also the player with no luck. Any ideas?

The plot thickens! I tried formatting the device using the software that came with it - now it keeps freezing up and dosent appear to have been formatted. I unfroze the device by doing a reset, now when ever I go to Albums it freezes up again. I read a thread somewhere about uninstalling and reinstalling which I have tried but now the deviec isn't recognised by the PC - I just get MTP Device found messages popping up every 5 seconds. The Software wont even recognise that the device is connected to the PC. Starting to get frustrated now!

You need to download a driver (install this first), the full MediaSource Player/Organizer application and then the MediaSource plug-in.

Unable to upgrade Facebook and BBM applications

I have a BB Torch 9810. I have been trying to upgade my Facebook and BBM applications but I receive an error message telling me to log in every time I try to upgrade them. I have tried everything including restoring my phone and I still get the same message. Help please!

You didn't say, but if you're trying to download from appworld, a username and password is required. That's not an error, it's normal..

Clean install and transferring applications

I just bought a brand new MacBook Pro a year and a half ago with the top performing quadcore i7 with 8GB of RAM. Ever since I upgraded to Mountain Lion from Lion. I have had some serious performance issues. I have already done a time reinstall and still have the same performance problems, which is pretty poor and a very hot core. I have read that doing a clean install and transfering file from the TM results in noticably better performance. I have never done this before so I like to know the risks and can I transfer my applications (pages, keynotes, word, powerpoint, ect.)

Yes, that is an option although you will need to take care you do not restore from backup something that is the direct cause of your problems.
All your applications may be reinstalled from the App Store or installation DVDs depending upon where and how they were purchased.
Install or Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion from Scratch
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Erase the hard drive:
1. Select Disk Utility from the main menu and click on the Continue button.
2. After DU loads select your startup volume (usually Macintosh HD) from the
      left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
3. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Optionally, click on
        the Security button and set the Zero Data option to one-pass. Click on
      the Erase button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion and click on the Install button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible
            because it is three times faster than wireless.

Office 2004 and other applications suddenly stopped working

All of a sudden I've been getting the following with any Office application, and other applications have been exhibiting strang behavior as well. Specifically the error with any Office is:

I can't even uninstall Office because the uninstall program generates the same error.
Also, iChat no longer works (opens for a split second then closes without an error msg) and iMovie give the following bizarro error message:

I'm running an intel iMac (OSX 10.4.8)
I have tried verifying & repairing permissions to no avail.

After software update macbook pro works very slow and no applications will open

Updated software today, since software updated macbook is running really really slow (approx. 4 mins from pushing the power button to home screen) and no applications including itunes will work. Anyone any ideas???

Did you restart your computer after repairing permissions?
Disconnect all peripherals from your computer. Boot from your install disc & run Repair Disk from the utility menu. To use the Install Mac OS X disc, insert the disc, and restart your computer while holding down the C key as it starts up.

Creative Zen Touch - Sounds from inside case and firmwear not reload

the story:
I was sitting in my room when suddenly in the middle of a song, the music stoped, i go over to check. Nothing works, so i get a paperclip and reset it. After reset, it stays on Creative logo for 5 mins. While inside the case a sound like a motor going on, off and then a static kind of noise. I restart a third time and i get recovery screen. I do cleanup. then reboot. Then format, reboot, then firmwear deletion, reboot.
I head on over to the website and read FAQ's and such. I attempt to put the newly downloaded firmwear onto my Zen Touch. I click the file, it starts the instalation process and then says "An application is interfering with the flash program (e.g Creative file Manager)....." I would like to add, i've tried rebooting my computer, and i've turned off every single thing except for the instalation browser.
What should i do?

I think your hard dri've has crashed. If the player itself is making a loud noise like that it's most likely the hard dri've. I'm not sure if reloading the firmware would solve this problem.

CS6 Creative Suite keeps asking to 'continue trial' and 'serial number' even though I own it.

Hello-
My office owns CS6 Creative Suite.
I needed to get After Effects CC for work so we downloaded Creative Cloud and then bought/downloaded After Effects CC onto my computer.
However- once we did this, my CS6 started asking to "continue trial" or for a "serial number"- but these are already owned applications. I cannot even get into them any more because of this.
This is a PC.
Does anyone know the solution to this?

Creative Zen Micro Recieves a 8.3 and a editors choice award - C

I've never been a big fan of Cnet but its nice to see them give high rating to something other than an ipod, good job Creative. The ipod nano recieves a 8.3 but its quite evident which one offers more for your money

Creative Zen micro (no driver installation?) and cost of 5gb mod

Just wondering is it ppossible to copy music without having to install drivers? cause i want to use it at uni after i record lectures i want to access the lectures on my uni pc.
but currently it goes to install a driver and my uni pc's dont allow that
also is it true that with a recen firmware you can increase the size of the removable hard disk partition?
Finally if anyone is from australia would you know where the cheapest place to buy the zen micro is?
i see somepeople posting that they can get it for EUR$39 = AUD$25 which is a lot cheaper than AUD$329-$369 for the 5gb model that i have seen at dicksmith.

The Zen Micro v2 firmware supports MTP. If the PCs have Win XP and WMP0 then they use a generic driver built-in to Windows.
Alternati'vely if you just want to transfer data use the USB mass storage mode.

Is there any other programs that rip songs or allow you to use the usb port to acess your library cause i lost creative media source and cant get it back on my computer?

What player do you have? Just select it under?Nomadworld.com downloads. Depending on the player MediaSource should be listed there, but if you select the Zen Xtra it definitely will be.
Creative will send you the install CD, but you will most likely have to pay. For all players other than the newest you can get all the software from Nomadworld.com downloads.

Migration Assistant and Transfering Applications

I'm super busy this week so I'm being incredibly lazy and posting a discussion since I do not have time to search the discussion page so i'm sorry if i'm being redundant or posting an easily answered question.
I am considering upgrading from a 2 year old MacBook to a MacBookPro and plan on using the Migration Assistant to transfer files, applications, etc. My question is after going through the Migration Assistant process do you have to re-enter serial numbers for your applications such as an Adobe Creative Suite or a Final Cut suite. My situation is I have to move every six months and I cannot recall where the serial number is and it would save me loads of stress if I did not have to go find the CD/Serial.
Thanks for any advice.

No, Migration Assistant should transfer that information so you don't have to reenter it. However, you should find those serial numbers anyway. you'll need them in case of problems with the transfer or if you have to reinstall the apps for whatever reason.

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore. Has any of this been tried?
Unless and until is has been, Apple will not do anything, beyond the basic troubleshooting listed above.
