Creative Zen X-fi Wireless Lan problem

I own a 6gb Zen X-Fi. I have problems accessing wi-fi.
I have registered a chat account and everything but everytime I try to use Wi-Fi, I am always met with a message "Log-in information incorrect". Can anyone help? In the "configure my account" menu, I use the email i registered with, as well as the password I use to log in to my chat account. What am I doing wrong?

After you input your User ID (which you have used to register for the ZEN X-Fi chat account) and password, the player will attempt to connect to an available network. If your network is secured, it will require a log-in and password to access the network. I was just thinking maybe you entered the chat ID and password instead of the router's log-in and password to connect to your network? This article may help you.

Creative Zen X-Fi (Wireless Lan) won't stay connected

Running Windows Vista 32-bit (problem happened before and after SP2 install), 4GB Ram, 2.6GHz Intel Core 2 Duo.
When connected via USB, the device regularely disconnects itself from my laptop, usually reconnecting itself (but not always). In both cases, any transfers are cancelled and I have to start again (sometimes resulting in duplicate tracks in albums). It even disconnects itself while idle!
Has anyone had this problem before and know how to solve it's

I have the same problem and have been having it for MONTHS. It's driving me crazy, and has gotten to the point where I haven't been able to update a playlist or add new songs in ages because of the sheer frustration of having to start things over and over and over again. My player will connect and disconnect and connect again every ten to fifteen seconds sometimes. I've installed the latest updates and firmware on both my new Vista 64-bit laptop AND my old XP one -- had the same problem on both.
I'm so close to giving up on my Creative Player (that's $300 down the drain), and I am a loyal Creative customer going way back. But this is just unbearable. To boot, Creative Central is the worst media interface I've ever used. Half the time, it doesn't pull up half of my music files and there are all sorts of bugs in creative playlists. I really hate the X-Fi product, and wish my Zen Vision: M hadn't died
If anyone has any insight or a solution for this problem, please help. I almost threw my player against a wall last night, and may have to downgrade to my Zen Vision: V which is dinky but WORKS and doesn't have the world's suckiest software.

the morning after, my mp3 is not charged and only showing me a little red stripe in de battery (right top) i can listen music but only for a few minutes...

The battery will only last about 3yrs regardless of use.You will need to change it. Did you scroll down to see the album,picture,track counts? Did you partition part of the dri've for removable storage. Creative ZEN X-Fi Wireless problems

#C? I've recently bought a ZEN X-Fi 6GB media player and since it has wireless features, i decided, why not check them out? So I registered a chat account on Creatives website and then tried to connect to our wireless network. It asks me to enter the password for the network and I enter it, then it loads for a while, around 20 seconds and then just goes back to "Enter your password". If I reenter it gives the same result and the third time I enter it it just keeps connecting without me being able to abort or shut the player down, I have to wait for it to auto shutdown. This is very disappointing since it would be nice to have features such as IM convos on it. My wireless network is protected by WPA-PSK with TKIP. Any help on this? I have the latest firmware and software.

What is the model of your router? These are the list of tested routers that worked with the ZEN X-Fi. You can find this on the product page.
The Creative ZEN X-Fi 6GB/32GB player connects to wireless networks and the Internet through routers. Refer to the list below for routers verified to be compatible with the ZEN X-Fi 6GB/32GB player.

You can find the instructions on how to access the recovery mode on this thread. If it doesn't work, you may need to format the player but before formatting it, make sure to backup your files to your computer. To format your ZEN X-Fi, boot the player from the recovery mode (same instructions found on the link) and choose Format- Clean-Up- Reboot this time.

N82 V30.0.013 Bluetooth and Wireless LAN problems

I am using an N82, but it looks like there are similar problems with everything using similar firmware. I didn't have any of these problems with the V20 firmware that came with the phone or after the first V20 upgrade I used.
I find that my wireless LAN connections sometimes only let me browse a few pages before I get the "web connection timed out" message. If I change wireless LAN connection (I have two, mostly for testing purposes) I can continue browsing. Of course the same error may happen causing me to switch again. Sometimes it just works. Both have WPA set up and the passwords are clearly correct. If I use Real Player I can typically listen for as long as I like. Sometimes the connection to the server will drop for Real Player but reconnecting will work (don't have to change wireless LAN network). With the web browser it seems like the data connection is dead, not a server timing out - the message appears instantly. I think have seen the same problem once with my 3G connection, but I haven't recreated it. Could be my imagination!
I have never had any problems with IMAP email using either the Nokia client or Profimail on either the wireless LAN connection or 3G. It leads me to believe that there is nothing wrong with the wireless LAN side of things and it may be more to do with the web browser, or perhaps just that the email clients are only talking to one server helps (DNS problems?). Has anyone experienced similar problems with an alternative browser?
I have also found that when I get to work my bluetooth dongle doesn't connect to my phone. If I disable/enable bluetooth on my phone it will connect. I had this problem with my N80 with the first firmware I had on it and the problem went away after an upgrade.
So, it seems that both connections are fixed by turning them off and on again.

Having both routers the same IP address is a little bit confusing, but possible since each router creates it's own subnet and provides full PNAT support. Actiontec DSL modem has to have DHCP enabled since Linksys WAN (not LAN) port should be connected to one of 4 Actiontec LAN ports. Linksys should not have any configuration setup in regards of your WAN account. Just set it to dynamic address. In ohter words:
1. RJ-11 connect to Actiontec mode/router.
2. Actiontec modem should be configured to acquire an IP address from Verizon and to provide all authentication info to Verizon.
3. Actiontec modem should be configured to allow clients to acquire dynamic IP addresses -- DHCP enabled.
4. Linsys WAN (not LAN!) port should be connected to Actiontec LAN port.
5. Linksys should be configured to acquire dynamic IP address and no authentifacations.
6. Configure Linksys to be DHCP enabled or you can use static IP addresss if you want.
7. Wireless devices would be connected to Linksys and on the way to the Internet addresses would go through double NAT conversions. Any wired device connected to Linksys would have similar features. Any device connected to Linksys should be able to connect 192.168.1.1 assigned to Linksys, but not to Actiontec.
8. To be able to connect Linksys and Actiontec would no be able to communicate unless you split 192.168.1.0/24 into smaller subnets and set specific routes in the table. But even you do so you will not be able to access 192.168.1.1 accross subnets boundary.

Creative Zen Vision M:30Gb freeze problem skipping between tracks

Hi guys,
I bought my Zen Vision M:30GB 2 years ago. It was a regenerated model by Creative.
I'm fully satisfied of this product, i think the best of his category, but It has this problem since two years...Sometimes when i skip between mp3s (especially in random mode) it freezes and remains on the screen of current mp3, blocked...even I try to touch all buttons it doesn't unblock and i have to reset with a clip in the reset hole.
I've noticed that this problem comes especially when i use random mode of entire library (about 4000 songs) or however with a long playlist...it doesn't happen when i listen a single album (about 20 mp3s in playlist)
Sincerely i'm a little bored ...
I tried to do some clean and format up by the system menu, but the problem persists...
I've also thinked the problem could be because there are in library mp3 with variant bitrate...or a physical problem (I hope not)
What do you think of?

Creative Zen 32GB "There is a problem playing this audio" AAC

GCreative Zen 32GB "There is a problem playing this audio" AACZ All right, this is driving me nuts. I have a Zen 32GB and a Vista 32-bit machine. I have been encountering a lot of problems playing AAC files on my Zen--many of the tracks stop short, and the error message "There is a problem playing this audio" appears.
These are AAC files that I ripped off my own CDs using iTunes, so there are no DRM issues. ? I'm not sure if the problem lies in the actual ripping process (although the problem tracks play on my iPod without problem), the importing into my Zen using Zen Media Explorer, or my Zen trying to play the tracks. I've tried turning off my antivirus program, as well as checking the box in iTunes that double-checks for audio errors after ripping. I thought at first that it could be related to scratched CDs, but it also happens with pristine CDs.
I have latest firmware (.2.03) installed, and also the latest version of Zen Media Explorer.
I've searched this forum as well as Google for this exact error message, and don't get any related hits. Can anyone out there help me? Please?

Thanks for that response--I was beginning to feel a little neglected. It's disappointing, though--one of the reasons I bought the Zen was because it advertised AAC compatibility, so that I could have just one library of AAC files for my iPod and Zen, instead of entirely duplicate libraries of AAC and WMA files. Most of the AAC files I've imported into the Zen play fine--I just have to check all of the tracks to see which ones have that audio error. Usually, if I re-import the track, it comes out fine (eventually).

For the last couple of years, I've used my Creative Zen Touch without any issues. I managed to upgrade to the MTP firmware with no troubles whatsoever. When I tried to plug it in a few days ago and add a number of songs, the computer no longer recognised the player. The USB ports seem fine, and when I plug it in the player boots. It doesn't come up with the "docked" screen on the player, however, and in Windows a "trying to add new hardware wizard" window pops up that never used to pop up before. Whatever I try to do, it never works. I'm using Windows XP SP2 and like I said, I never used to have any issues before until this popped out completely unexpected. It just won't realise that the Zen Touch is a MTP player for some reason!

The people on the forum who would respond are customers, like you, being rude to them probably won't encourage them to help.

Creative Zen Micro Photo 8GB Driver Problem XP USB

Xp couldnt find driver to install for Creative Zen micro photo 8gb. I have P4 Xp sp2 USB .. It works fine with other.
But when i connect zen Micro Photo 8GB it says "Unknow device creative zen micro photo" the player doesnt come with any driver.
can you Please help me?
Is it something to do with firmware?

MTP is a protocol. For our purposes it means that the driver should be included with WMP0. (...and that is the connection, you get the driver by installing WMP0.)

Creative Zen X-fi (with lan) white screen issues

The thing is that other than the screen being a quaking mess, it seems to otherwise be in working condition, because when I turn it on and push the play button music will still play as before. it's just the screen that is the problem. G530 (4446) wireless lan problem on Windows Vista 32bit without AC

I have new G530 lenovo laptop with the following problem
After I have enabled the wireless driver (pressing Fn+F5) and moving the switch in front of the laptop, the wireless led is blinking BUT, I can't find any wireless networks. When diagnosing the problem with windows vista,it tells me that the wireless should be turned on.
Of course, it is ON. After I have reinstalled the wireless driver again from your the support site, the problem disappeared, but reappeared after a couple of days.
I do not use Access Connections. I have Uninstalled it since I don't need it
I have seen this problem on several sites when I googled for a solution.
I need a deterministic solution:
a. What drivers should I update?
b. In which order should I update them?
c. What configuration should I change from their default?
d. What causes this problem and can I prevent it from happening (like- don't go to standby but just to hibernate state)?

I just discovered that the computer had no issue at all.
The problem was with me.
Somehow I managed to disable the wireless network.
I just typed Fn+ F5 and reactivated it.

Creative Zen Vision M 30gb firmware problem

My mp3 player took a spill onto the floor and it worked fine after. after i was done using for the day i shut it off and then the next day i turned it back on and it went to safe mode and said there was a hard disk problem. i was able to successfully format it. now when i start it up it says there is a firmware problem. i tried reloading it but the firmware i got off Creative.com doesn't recognize it, but my computer does.
Any suggestions?

A Firmware Problem is like when Windows gets corrupted and won't boot.
You probably need to Reload the Firmware through the Recovery Menu, but I'd try a Disk Clean-up first, on the off-chance that it's a less serious problem.
Be sure to back up all your files first, as there is a chance that they'll get wiped when you reload the firmware.

HELP: Lenovo K450 Desktop Wireless LAN Problems?

I recently bought a lenovo k450 desktop, first desktop i have bought, and ever had, ever since i've bought this desktop the Speed.net speeds are 1/2 of the speeds my laptop gives off. I did all the mentioned steps and first it seems that the WLan was working.
It wasn´t as fast as expected, but I could surf in the internet.
After another restart OSX asked me for the password of my router and then I got the old problems: Very very very very slow connection, broken connections and finnaly no connection via WLan.
Do you - or anyone else - have another idea what I can do to fix this f.... problem?

I think that Creative would do somthing if they see how many people don't buy the Player because that problem with the SD-Card. I think everyone who want to have a firmware to fix it, could send a post here as a "sign". Than maybe Creative do something.
It's e very nice player with one issue. I would buy it without this.

Let's see, an 8 gig sd card costs around $70 -$00. So that brings the price to around $320-$350 for this player. Why can't Creative put 2 of the 6 gig flash drives in this player for around $300-$350. That way it's cheaper than the touch and has more space. You know apple will keep improving the touch so improve yours before them. This would give 6 for music and 6 for video. That way if the drives are separate, at least that would give you plenty of room for music and still be able to have 3 or 4 movies at a time in the other drive for viewing. Until they can make a player with some more space, 6 gigs is a joke compared to the 60 gig player that it is replacing. Without more space, I won't purchase one. Creative replacing the higher storage hard drive players before the flash drive could compete space/money wise was just ridonculous!!
