Creatteing an R/3 -xi -Jdbc Reaciver
Hello Everyone,
Do i need to create two software Componets when i am developing a R/3->xi--> Oracle.
Regd's
Raj
Hi Raj,
It depends on the design approach of which you are going to take.
This design is based on the how many interfaces yoy have, and what is the classification ? is it depend on the business process of your implementation.
So the answer is not neccessary to have 2 SWCVs.

Hi Guys,
I have a problem when i am passing a message from Idoc to Oracle useig JDBC Reaciver i had problem in Runtime..
Below message is my Error message..

2006-09-07 11:56:33 Error Exception caught by adapter framework: Error processing request in sax parser: No 'action' attribute found in XML document (attribute "action" missing or wrong XML structure)
Page 1 / 2
Thanks in advance
Thanks
HariHi Hari,
I was the same <u>stupid</u> error, because I read the doc too quickly...
Go to your Data Type and look at the line "action":
> DO NOT use "insert Element" but "<b>Insert Attribute</b>", because <u>action is an attribute</u> of TableName.
Example: If action has category "Element", then you have
<TableName>
<action>INSERT</action>
</TableName>
and it's wrong... That's why you have "<i>Error No "action" attribute</i> "
But if you use category "Attribute", then you will have:
<TableName <b>action</b>="INSERT">
</TableName>.
And this is exactly what the JDBC adapter want!

Thanks for helping me all these days

RajRaj,
hmm.. now this is tricky.
One option ~~ Select all Customer ID's from your DB table using select, check the list of values with your vallue and only if it is not available then INSERT using the JDBC adapter.
This will need a BPM with a Synchronous Select as well as a Separrate INSERT.
Another optionn~~
Pass the cusomer ID to a Stored Procedure using a JDBC adapter and then the Stored Procedure will decide if it need to update / insert or ignore this customer id.
Option 2 is a better way to do it as it avoid a BPM>

Simple File to Database Scenario
Dear Experts
I am working on a File to Database scenario. My requirement is to update the database with latest information. For example
1. First day i got a file of 100 records...Insert all the 100 records.
2. Second day i will get 110 records (here 100 records is old data and 10 records is the delta). Now PI needs to lookup with DB and insert the updates of 100 records and insert the delta 10 records...
3. Third day i got 125 records file (here 110 is previous days data and 15 is todays delta). I need to update the changes of all the 110 and insert 15 delta records
ThanksHi,
Since you want to update the existing records and insert the delta, the 'update_insert' option of JDBC receiver should fulfill your requirements.
Refer the following links for more help on this

Hello Everyone.
while i am Mapping R/3 STRU AND AND ORACLE STRUC
here what field do i need to map to oracle statement
from idoc
Idoc Oracle
Idoc Oracle_struc
Begin Statement
Edi_dc40 Emp
2segment action
Feild1 access
Field2 field1
Field2
Here what field do i need to Map for statement of target and emp for table name.. can some one help me here please..Hi Raj,
If you are getting multiple idocs , then map your Idoc node into the Statement node in the target structure. Provided your statement has multiple occurence i.e you required to post multiple occurences of the data into Oracle database.
If not also, you can map with Idoc with Statement node in the target structure, No need of mapping control record structure etc.. just leave it. In the mapping , map the fields based on the target structure ie requirements. if you created any mandatory segments or fields map with appropriate values from the source.
Your all field1,.. from source structure is the exact value or data. this you need pass as a input values into your stored procedures.
For others you can leave it and test the mapping

Sending Idoc to oracle table Emp usering JDBC Adapter
Hi Guys,
Can you help me in these when we are pass a message through idoc to Oracle through jdbc adacpter reaciver
what sort of syntax Parameter need to write in
SQLSyntaxParameters Box in ID.
Regd's
RajHi Raj,
You need to insert data from the IDoc to the Oracle Database. In this case the XML that is being sent to the Receiver JDBC Adapter should be correct.
The format for this can be obtained from the following link:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/22/b4d13b633f7748b4d34f3191529946/frameset.htm
Once this is correctly done nothing needs to be mentioned in the SQLSyntaxParameters Box in ID. U can leave the default values as it is.

JDBC Lookup - Import table data from a different schema in same DB
Hi XI Experts,
We are facing an issue while importing a Database table into the external definition in PI 7.1.
The details are as below:
I have configured user 'A' in PI communication channel to access the database. But the table that I want to access is present in schema "B". Due to this, I am unable to view the table that I have to import in the list available.
In other words, I am trying to access a table present in a different schema in the same database. Please note that my user has been given all the required permissions to access different schema. Even then, I am unable to access the table in different schema.
Kindly provide your valuable suggestions as to how I can import table which is present in another schema but in the same Database.
Regards,
SubbuIf you are using PI 7.1, then you can do JDBC Lookup to import JDBC meta data (table structures from DB). Configure a jdbc receiver communication channel where you specify username and password which has permission to access schema A and Schema B of database. Specify database name in the connection string. Then you might have access to import both schema.

Error while creating a JDBC connection to Oracle 11g using WLS 6.1
Hi
I am trying to connect to Oracle 11g database on Weblogic 6.1 server.
First of all i would like to know if this is compatible?
The environement that i have is this
1. JDK 1.3
2. Database 11g is on remote system
3. Oracle client on my local system ( Connecting to the 11g DB through the client works fine)
4. Weblogic server 6.1
5. Currently the application is connected to Oracle 10g DB and working fine(We are attempting to move it to 11g)
Below are the steps that i followed to create the connection:
1. Made an entry for the datasource in config.xml under <WLS_DOMAIN>/config folder as below
<JDBCConnectionPool DriverName="oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver"
MaxCapacity="4" Name="CADConnectionPool"
Properties="user=abc_proxy;password=proxy_abc;dll=ocijdbc8;protocol=thin"
RefreshMinutes="5" ShrinkPeriodMinutes="10" Targets="CAsvr"
TestConnectionsOnRelease="true" TestConnectionsOnReserve="true"
TestTableName="dual" URL="jdbc:oracle:thin:@gen11t-ora.db.lab.xyz.com:1530:GEN11T"/>
2. Restarted the server.
3. Ran the application and get the following error on the server console:
<Aug 22, 2011 12:39:42 AM CDT> <Error> <JDBC> <Cannot startup connection pool "C

Calling Glassfish jdbc Datasorce in EJB 3.0 with @Resource annotation.
I tried EJB 3.0 with netbeans and glassfish and "{color:#ff0000}+_ORACLE_+{color}". I wanted to link the oracle database to GLASSFISH server and I followed the instructions.After I clicked 'ping' button, it displayed as *{color:#339966}'PING SUCCEED".{color}*
But I couldn't call my datasource from the eje stateless session bean with @Resource annotation.It resulted a dependency injection exception. Can some one tell me how to do this properly.
{color:#ff0000}Thanks in Advance!!!!{color}Frank, yes, I can modify if it is necessary the datasource but, how can I say in the xxxx-jdbc.xml not to use JTA transactions when this data source is called inside a ejb 3.0 method?
I'm using Jdev11g and the integrated Web Logic Server.

Error while executing a JDBC to Idoc scenario : No standard agreement found
Hello SAP PI Gurus,
I am having a JDBC to idoc Scenario .And the interface is running at 10 min of duration.
<SAP:AdditionalText>No standard agreement found for ,
BS_EXT_CTBSREPDB, , BS_ERPQAS_QE1_320, http://XYZ.com/FI/FI_FI_01/Charges, FIDCC2</SAP:AdditionalText>.
While i test the configuration...i get an error in reciever agreement as mentioned above.
Can you pls help me in resolving this issue.
Regards,
RaviHi,
I think the problem is with namespace....for IDOC the namespace will be "urn:sap-com:document:sap:idoc:messages"...but in your case it is different.....i.e http:....etc.....please check whether you 've used the same IDOC withe above mentioned namespace in all the configuration objects like interface determination, receiveragreement etc.....

Error while creating a report that uses Oracle OCI JDBC connectivity
Please let me know why my CR and LF characters are removed from my forum posting *****
Hi,
I was trying to create a report that uses Oracle OCI JDBC connectivity. I am using Eclipse3.4 download from "cr4e-all-in-one-win_2.0.2.zip". I have successfully created a JDBC OCI connection.
The connection parameters are given below:
URL: jdbc:oracle:oci8:@xe
Database: xe
username: <userName>
password: <password>
I have tested the above connection in Data source Explorer and it works fine!!!
But I am getting the following error when I drag-and-drop a table from the list of tables. Not sure what I am missing here? Any help is highly appreciated.

Edited by: KARTHIK1 on Oct 14, 2009 9:38 PMHi Ted,
Thanks for the feedback. I was able to create a report in Creystal Reports Designer 2008 using OCI. It is not allowing only in the Eclipse plugin. In our environment we are not allowed to user Oracle thin connections and ONLY OCI is allowed.
1) Can you please let me know if there is a way to do this?
2) Will it allow data sources using native database driver?
3) If so, can I use JRC to create these reports from a desktop java program?
Thanks & Regards
Karthik

Error got while creating a jdbc in Weblogic server 9.2
Hi All,
I am getting the following error
+"Warning! Connectivity to backend database not verified. This is either because required connection pool attributes "TestConnectionsOnReserve" or "TestConnectionsOnRelease" have not been enabled, or an invalid value has been specified for attribute "TestTableName". Please check the server log for more details".+
While creating a jdbc datasource in Weblogic 9.2. When I add the target and activate the setting and while testing only I am getting this error. While before adding target "Test connection" works good.
Please help me in fixing this bug.
Thank you in Advance.
With regards
John
