Credential window popping up in SharePoint site - Mobile
Hi
Why is the credential window always popping up when we try to access Sharepoint site from mobile devices?
The user has already logged into the site, however when approving a task, the credential window keeps appearing. Any reason why?

No "Document Library" in a Project's SharePoint Site Mobile View
The mobile view for certain sites -- all from the same SharePoint site template -- do not have the Documents library in mobile view, nor is it an option to add when editing the mobile view. Oddly, the document library is available in the mobile view of the

Has anyone seen this happen before?I managed to sort this on my own and here's what I learned in case someone else comes across this issue in the future.
The library was not corrupted, but it was buggy. The lack of any available views caused the paths to go weird as described above. The allitems view was not deleted, however, but it was marked as hidden and had the name removed from it. I was able to recover
this by modifying the properties on the allitems view in the SPList.views collection. Not sure how it happened, but it was an easy fix.
The other issue was me being a newbie with SP. The user had uploaded new files for the list using explorer which appears to initially set them to be checked out. Since they never had a checked in version, they don't appear in any view, in search, etc. but
they are included in the SPList.ItemCount property. This resulted in a seemingly "empty" document library with files in it.
I hope this helps the next person to come along with a similar problem. Serious pain to figure this out, but I got a lot of good experience with the SP PowerShell environment, so it had a bit of a silver lining. -
I thought that if I cleared my history, that this pop up would stop. So I clear history after every online experience. Yet, the next time I go to my start page and try to enter a web address, a window displays what is apparently a list of my most visited websites for me to choose from (blue line w/yellow star). This would also show anyone using my computer (friends and family) my websites, or possibly websites random family visited. I want to know how to delete one or all of the sites listed or prevent this pop up. I have Windows 7.
It could be the work of one of your add-ons, or even add / mal-ware.
Look thru your add-ons list and make sure you know what each one is
there for. Also, check the programs that are on your computer

Not a secure site window pops up, have accessed sites before
when i try to access sites that i have had, verizon, capitol one, att , amer. express, i get a page that says, this connection is untrusted, you have asked firefox to connect to to but we can't confirm connection secure. have not had a problem with any of these before the last month

This happens when your connection has been hacked. DO NOT access any secure website while this isn't fixed and don't put your passwords or personal information ANYWHERE online until then.
That said, simply factory resetting your router should fix the problem. If you can't do that, contact your network administrator and inform him of the problem. I repeat, DO NOT put your personal info on the internet while this is not solved!

i m working in an organization where web-sense is installed to block all irrelevant sites, i have installed itunes but it does not run a window pops up with message 'itunes is not connected to the network' can anyone help me out?

I am new to SP 2010. I have installed Share point 2010 server (trial version) on my Windows 7 Home Premium Laptop by following the below link.

Everything went fine and was able to see the new sharepoint site after completing configuration wizard. SP2010 Central Admin also worked fine.
However, after windows update, sharepoint site is not working. I was able to see the site working for more than a day before windows update. SP2010 Central Admin is still working. Executed "PSCONFIG" after
update but still no good.
I saw a warning "The Security Token Service is not available" in Central Admin and did some research to fix the issue but nothing worked.

I even tried to uninstall Sharepoint and re-install the same. It worked even second time until it went thro' windows update. App pools are running and Websites are up and running in IIS.

I tried to drag the program i wanted to uninstal to the trash but each time i try a window pops up and tells me i cant as the application is open and i know it,s not??? the program i want to uninstal is a pre paid mobile broad band, thank you Marie
I have tried going to the program it self but no where can i find how to uninstal it . I,m getting very frustrated with this C.P as at least with windows you went straight to the control panel and went to ADD/Remove, and clicked onto the program you wanted gone and clicked on it and it uninstaled . GRRRI assume that the app didn't come with an uninstaller application/script?
If you definitely want to trash it have a look in Activity Monitor and your Login items, as there may be something running in the background that is preventing it being trashed.
System Preferences>Users & Groups (or Accounts depending on OS), Login items tab and delete anything that pertains to the app you want gone.
Next, Utilities Folder>Activity Monitor, have a look to see if there is anything running with the name of the awkward app. Select it and click on the the big red 'quit process' button. Now try and trash it.
If you are still having trouble you could try downloading the free AppCleaner:

SharePoint site continues prompting window for Id and Password?
Hi, recently all users facing issue while opening SharePoint 2010 Sites, sites continues prompting window for Id and Password, even after entering information it’s asking.
When I login on server and try to open the site, there was also asking prompt.
And when I added user id’s in Server local administration group then sites are opening and when if I remove user id’s from Server local administration then again starting to ask prompt.
Domain Controller is running fine.

The "Frequent" section each time I see it, has added previous sites that I have visited. This list then has lots of duplicates in it. I do not need that, and would like to keep this listing a a favored few.
Is there a way to stop having superfluous web-sites added to the "Frequent" list ??

Windows security always check failure when open new deployed app on Sharepoint site
Each time when I click new app which is deployed by VS2013, it will popup an windows security check form.When I using administrator account to login , it can't take affect.The check form will always be here because the account is not avaliable to this
app I think. I can use the account to do any operation in this sharepoint site, but just can't open this new developed app. Anybody know the root cause?Hi,
Did you use the same account with the App creator(the account which deployed the app)? You can use the app creator to check whether it works.
Could the other accounts access the apps? You can use the other accounts to check whether it works.
To quickly and accurately find the issue, you can check the event log and ULS log to see if anything unexpected occurred.
For SharePoint 2013, by default, ULS log is at
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\15\LOGS

Firefox will not connect to internet after upgrade. The window pops up but shows "connecting " in tab. And then it sit there. Close it down and then try to reopen it and get message " Firefox already running, Exit program or shut down computer" ?????????????????

Just updated Acrobat on my Mac.
NOW tiny windows pop up telling me various sites/groups/people want to store info on my computer. They offer choices of "Allow" or "Deny". Naturally I just close the window w/out clicking on anything. Anyone know how to eliminate this problem? It's annoying.
