Credit card area when trying to purchase licence?
i am trying to purchase the traffic and safety add on. I presume cameras will not be on my maps otherwise?
I get the following error each time.
credit card payment failed. try again (error 3)
Plus I dont get the option to purchase city explorer? do i need this for the walk function?

correct, you need to pay for it otherwise that information will not be displayed on the maps. don't know why it would refuse payment via your credit card though. can't really help you out there, because i am assuming its an issue with the Nokia servers in not recognising/accepting your payment. all you can do is try and try again until it works i suppose. failing that, contact Nokia directly in your country.
to answer the second question, i'll answer that in the other thread you posted.

Error ID 30252 when trying to purchase apps (both paypal and credit card)
On PlayBook AppWorld, when trying to purchase an app, I get the following error:
"There is a problem with your credit card authorization. Please try again or visit BlackBerry World Support for more information. (Error Id: 30252)"
I'm 200% sure my credit card details are correct - I have used it several times today and know there is plenty of credit available on it. Have tried entering the card 3 times now.
I have also tried PayPal, and I got through to authorizing with my paypal password and have recieved the "You have signed up for preapproved payments" email from PayPal. I guess getting that email means I definitely did enter my password correctly. But it gives me a "Problem encountered with PayPal authorization. (Error: 30252)"
So, same error code with both credit card and paypal. Serching the knowledgebase for 30252 yields zero results. Help??I've got the same issue using three different credit cards. Help!

This alert is often the result of an issue with verifying your billing.
Quit iTunes.
Open iTunes.
Test the issue.
If it persists, sign in to store.apple.com using your iTunes account
Click on Change account information
Modify or remove your credit card information.
Click Continue.

When trying to purchase songs on my itunes with a gift card, its telling me i have to have the correct billing information on my debit card which I know is correct already. How do I go about fixing this?
Part of the validation for credit cards is that they need to be registered to exactly the same name and address that you have on your iTunes account, which prepaid cards tend not to be. Do you have a proper credit card that you could use ? Or are iTunes gift cards available in your country so that you could try using them as your payment method ?
Until you have a valid payment method on your account and what you owe iTunes has been paid off then you won't be able to download any item from the store, including free apps (and updates to apps). -

Why do you need my credit card information when I purchase songs from an already purchased Itunes gift card? If I cannot purchase goods with the prepuchased gift cards, then the card is useless and I want my money back.
We are fellow users here on these user-to-user forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple.
Just because you are being asked to enter your credit card details doesn't mean that it will be charged for your purchases.

Were the iTunes cards issued in the same country as your account is based (they are only valid in their country of issue) ? i got my i phone4s few days back and i created an apple id with a credit card and when i go to the appstore to purchase apps,all have and message stating that "this app is no longer available"..how do i fix this issue?im from singapore by the way
If it is longer available then you can't get the app on your phone.

It always ask me to fill my credit card number when I want to purchase just with my apple store gift card. I chose 'none' for my billing address, and it always ask for my credit card Number, and ive actually redeemed $110 itunes gift card.
Apple verifies your payment method with nearly every purchase now for your security.
On an iOS device make sure to tap Done after selecting None.
Same thing on a computer. Make sure to click Done if you select None for Payment Method. -
I keep getting an invalid address when trying to purchase songs on itune. All the information entered is correct. I have tried on my iPhone, iPad, iTouch and on itunes.
THE FIX: your credit card address AND spelling of your name must match iTunes.
Please don't google or read other blog entries on the Internet telling you to use a restaurant address or those that are telling you apple is doing address validation. They are all written by 17 year olds who pick up the first thing and re-post. Why do people try to "help" by authoritatively posting an answer? The mass of them are ruining my google searches. :-)
Apple is now validating whatever ASCII that you told your credit card company. It's not just address validation.
Name AND address must match.
Then it worked for me.
