Credit card - None option

Hi
Again it appears that apple has turned on the Credit card required for all new accounts
Rolling these devices out in a business ( 100+ ) makes it impossible to have the setup ready for staff
And new staff end up having to provide credit card details for free apps ! ?

No they haven't, if you follow the instructions on this page when creating a new account then you will get the 'none' option on the payment details screen : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534
If you don't use those instructions then you will need to entercard details before the account can be used to download any item from the store.

  • Apple id without credit card none option not available

    Hi,
I was trying to figure out a way to create a apple id without a credit card. So Google and all of them suggest that if you select an free app to install and login with your new id you will see "None" payment option but that didn't work.
But i want to share with all what work for me.
    1. Open your itunes make sure you logout
    2. Select the App Store and in Quick Links select "Redeem" as below image. Now login with your new Apple ID and you will see "None" Payment option.
    Thanks
    Nitin B.

If you follow, exactly, the instructions on to this page when creating a new account then you will get the 'none' option : Creating an iTunes Store, App Store, iBooks Store, and Mac App Store account without a credit card

  • Creat an account without a credit card, None option. Help

Ok so here was my problem.... Id go into theapp store and try to dl a free app. It would ask me to log in and i would. Then it would say "this account has not been used in the app store be4 and you need to review. So from ther on you end up at a page asking for credit card or gift card info. On my iPad it only has credit cards and gift cards. On my computer iTunes it has credit cards, gift cards and paypal as options. So I was told to go here
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534
In that forum it asks you to sing out of your account and creat a new one and then you will be able to see a option for NONE as payment. BUT WHO WANTS TO DO THAT! you loose all your information if yo make a new account. So here is the answer below.
    1. go to - -             http://support.apple.com/kb/HE40?viewlocale=en_US             and look back here for step 4
    2. follow the steps there BUT AT STEP 4 just change your email slightly ex.([email protected] - change it to [email protected])
    3. Then click save changes. Now signout of appleID.
    4. NOW you can go here   ----- http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534      and follow the directions for ither computer or mobile device. (I did iTunes on computer so                                                                                                                                                                                                        I'd say do it that way.)
This way you wont have to worry about loosing all your data and having to creat a new account.
Hope this helps you guys out. It sure did for me.
tell me if this needs any fixes ppl and i'll change it for you.
    Thanks

Thanks, but that's not a valid piece of advice, at least in my case and as much as have tried to I understand it.
An email (submitted while registering) = Apple ID
You can actually submit the same email twice (still it changes nothing even if one confirms an account from a number of Alternate Email Addresses):
    1) as Apple ID and Primary Email Address
    2) as Alternate Email Addresses
... but you CANNOT separate Apple ID from Primary Email Address in my version of user panel.
I suppose we have different versions of user panel. Any other ideas?

  • Adding a Credit Card Payment option

Is it possible to add a credit card payment option to a iWeb 08 page?
If yes, how do you do it?
    Please

I saw something of your discussion from May regarding the establishment of credit card sales for a web site. Perhaps you can point me in a right direction. I now have Pay Pal access to my site, but am concerned that everyone who purchases product will have to go through the Pay Pal sign up process. Did you find anything more efficient?
    Thanks

  • Credit card expired - option to renew subscription...

I had a long standing subscription for unlimited calls to Colombia. My credit card expired and therefore skype could not take the payment for October. I received an e-mail from skype stating that once I updated my credit card details I would have 90 days to renew my subscription; however the option to renew does not appear in my account. Anyone knows how to carry out the renewal?

Thanks, this helped. In the end it was my Credit Card Issuer who had put  a Flag on ITunes Purchases. They cleared the flags and I was immediately able to update my new Security Code and Expiry Date.
Many thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

  • Credit Card Non-Use/Bank Termination - FICO Impact?

Have recently received notification from issuing bank that as a result of non-use my MasterCard account is to be terminated.  No prior notification was received that this account was jeopardized.  Current FICO is in range of 780+.  How does this affect (if any) current FICO scores?  If so, what is recommended to re-establish current score?  If a reinstatement of the account was requested and accommodated by the issuing bank, how would THAT impact FICO score?...Thanks

Always curious to learn more about what's possible in Credit Land.  I just googled it and found this article at Experian: http://www.experian.com/blogs/ask-experian/2013/11/20/a-creditor-can-request-that-an-account-be-removed-from-your-credit-report/ EX points out that the creditor has two rights: To choose whether it initially wants to report an account or notTo request that the CRA change a record it has previously reported (but only if the creditor believes there is false information that was inadvertently reported)From the way EX describes it,  the record doesn't belong to the creditor (to delete or not as it likes).  It sounds like, once reported, it is the CRA's.  The creditor has a right to request that the CRA change or delete it, which is different from the right to make the change. My guess is that, if the CCC were to unilaterally delete a positive account, the consumer could dispute that action since it was the removal of true information. It's impossible to dispute something that's not on your credit report, system just isn't setup that way nor are the current legal regulations to my understanding; the lender is under no obligation to report period except in perhaps the T&C they signed up for with the individual bureaus in question.

  • Change Credit Card Issues

My wife recently lost her credit card and seeing as how our accounts are linked mine was cancelled as well. I went into iTunes and tried to purchase some new songs and was told my CC was declined. I realized what happened and attempted to change to a new credit card. I've tried 3 other credit cards (each card at least twice) and keep getting "Your credit card was declined. Please enter valid credit card information.".
I was so fed up with getting the error that I went to the store and purchased an iTunes card (with one of the credit cards iTunes was not accepting) and added it to my account. But turns out iTunes won't let me purchase anything until I update my billing information. I tried to select "None" as my credit card option and it keeps giving me the credit card declined message... why?!?!?!
What gives? Is it possible my account was locked from purchasing cause I originally attempted to purchase with a cancelled/stolen credit card (not sure if my wife just cancelled it or reported it stolen).
I've emailed Apple about the issue but haven't heard anything back.
    Any thoughts?

I have been having the same issues. It started when I tried changing from my AmEx credit card to my Visa credit card while using my iPad. For some reason it declined my Visa and when I tried to re-enter the information from my AmEx it started declining that as well. Since I was currently on a trip and had left my laptop @ home I simply resorted to setting my credit card info to the "none" option and using iTunes gift cards in the meantime. Once I got back home I tried re-entering my credit card info from my laptop with no luck, only this time it got worst. Now the "credit card: none" option ceased to work as well, telling me that "my payment method had been declined" yet again. Now I can't buy paid apps (even with a gift card), download free apps, or even update previously purchased apps since every time I attempt to do so, it asks me to verify my information which iTunes has already rendered practically "unverifiable".
This is getting very frustrating as I spent hours on the phone with Apple's technical support representatives who failed to come up with a solution to my problem and basically told me to "just wait it out". Honestly, they asked me to wait a week and call back if the problem hadn't "magically" resolved itself by then.

  • In which country exists option None for credit card

In which country exists option None for credit card

"None" is an option in most countries' iTunes Store if not all. I doubt anyone here can provide a definitive list since we're all just fellow users and don't have access to nor time to try every iTunes Store available.
Are you encountering a problem? Can you ask a specific question? That will be a better approach toward finding a solution then asking blanket questions.
    Regards.

  • HT2534 How do I remove a credit card from iTunes account?

I used a c card to download an app onto my teenage daughter's iPad.
Now I would like to remove the card from the account records.
    How does one do that?

I have the same question! This is what I have found out that might help you (however, it doesn't help me, so I'm still asking!)
Sign into your itunes account, under payment options, select none.
Enter the new credit card info.
In my case I have an expired credit card, the option "none" is not listed, and I have no new credit card to enter.
    Any help out there?

  • As I try to download apps (Skype) for my new iPhone 5s, a message comes that says that my id is not valid for US and I need to switch to Bangladesh store, there is no Bangladesh store. How to download apps to my iPhone? I created ID without credit card

As I try to download apps (e.g. Skype) for my new iPhone 5s, using my existing apple ID, it gives a message that my id is not valid for US store and I need to switch to Bangladesh store. There is no bangladesh Store. I created my id without credit card (payment option-none). How can I now downlod from itunes/apps store?

If you're in Bangladesh, then there is no iTunes Store that you can use. Each country's iTunes Store is limited to those actually in that country. E.G from the terms of use for the iTunes Store:
The iTunes Service is available to you only in the United States, its territories, and possessions. You agree not to use or attempt to use the iTunes Service from outside these locations. Apple may use technologies to verify your compliance.
When or indeed if Apple will ever be able to open an iTunes Store in Bangladesh no one here will know.
If you are physically in the US using a US-based account, post back and we'll go from there.
    Regards.
