Credit Card Number Encryption Feature in SAP

Hi,
I am interfacing between legacy system and SAP(probably through BAPI). The Credit card master table is VCNUM.
The requirement is to have the Credit card number in the encrypted form. Does SAP has any feature that supports encryption feature?

I would like to make the credit card number stored in encrypted form. Can any settings be done at table level which will ensure that credit card number is stored in encrypted form ?

T&E Credit card number appearing in PR05 (simulation)

Hi,
When i click on trip simulation in transaction PR05 after it is created (but not approved yet), i can see (under additional information for additional receipt section) the credit card number of the employee for whom the trip was created which should not be the case normally. This credit card number is appearing in front of the field 'Document number'. The client has successfully implemented credit card masking (PCI) project as per which the credit card number gets masked in SAP database, HR mini-master etc. Still the credit card number appears during simulation. Application is SAP ECC 6.0. As of now, this is the only case reported. Any pointers would help us greatly.
P.S: The employee is using corporate credit card provided by his employer for business purpose

Please refere to the below path and try to supress/block the required characteristics.
SPRO --> Financial Accounting --> Travel Management --> Travel Expenses --> Dailog and Travel Expenses Control --> Forms --> Form structure for ABAP list --> Modules of Form Variant --> Form block Characteristics --> suppress information/columns
The entire block will be hidden from the layout. But, does the users have access to PR05 transaction..?
If you want to mask only the card number, then the changes can be easily done in the FORM, by the ABAP team.

Credit card number field in sales order

Hi Friends,
Can we configure this field so that it only retains the card number as xxxx1234 (last 4 digits. Currently we have full visibility to customer card data to anyone who has SD display access in sales order.

I'd suggest you have a look at OSS note 766703. SAP has functionality for encrypting credit card number and note 766703 is an FAQ that references notes related to that functionality. You'll find reference to notes that discuss how to activate the "masking" of the card number - which is what you describe. Once you've implemented those notes you'll be able to have all execpt the last several digits of the card number masked with '*'.

How to see masked Credit Card number in Sales Order !!

In our SAP system credit card enceryption is activated. Certain users want to see the credit card number in the sales order change/display screen.We are in SAP ECC 6.0.
Please let me know how we can achieve this.

Dear Ambuj,
There is no possibility to view the credit card number unmasked in the sales order. You will always get the masked number even if you have C4 authorisation ('C4' action for the V_VBAK_AAT authorisation object). You can view the unmasked credit card number in transaction XD02/XD03.
If you use BAPISDORDER_GETDETAILEDLIST to view the order then the C4 authorisation will be checked and the unmasked number will be displayed (if the user has this authorisation).
If you have access to OSS notes then please check 836079 (FAQ: Credit card encryption and master data) and 766703 (FAQ: Credit card encryption in R/3 systems).

Masking Payment (Credit) Card number in CRM 4.0

Hi Experts,
I was wondering how can I mask the credit card number in CRM at BP as well as transaction level. SAP Help says that it happens automatically at transaction level, but it is not happening in our CRM 4.0 system.
We need the masking to be done as 5123**********45 at BP as well as transaction level.
Any help would be highly appreciated and rewarded.

Hi Yash,
I am a bit late in answering your question. A bit occupied with my project.
To mask credit card numbers you need have the encryption is in place. In standard the card numbers are not encrypted in the database tables. If your credit card vendor (e.g. paymetric) doen't provide you the third party encryption tool then you have to implement SAP Cryptographic Library for encrypting data in the SAP system (using SSF). Please refer to the note 662340 for encryption. Encryption is a complex process and you need to take the help from BASIS team.
After successful encryption apply the note 837231 for masking.

[POSDM] Credit card number masking

Hi Experts
We have a requirement to mask the credit card number on display (i.e. POS workbench) BUT show full card number on data level for BW data processing.
I am able to mask the card number on display through the config below:
Cross Application Component --> Payment Cards --> Make Security Settings for Payment Cards. (Masked Display and Encrypted When Saved)
Appreciate if you can kindly guide me to the setting for allowing to show the full card number on data level.
Moreover, I have searched in the note here that Installation of the encryption library "SAPCRYPTOLIB" is needed. Is it true?

Most websites when asking for your credit card do encrypt your password, but it is not based on a plugin. The website is responsible for securely receiving and storing your data. If you do not trust the website is secure, be careful with your data.

Credit Card number entered CRM sales order is not appearing in R3 Sales ord

We are entering our Sales orders in CRM which are gtting replicated to SAP R3,In the credit card scenario ,In some sales orders entered in CRM,where the Credit card numer has been entered,In some cases,the card numer is not appearing in R3 Sales order either in the overview screen or Payment card tab,due to ehich most of the times these cards fail authorization .
Kindly let me know as to what could be the reasons as to why the card numer seen in CRM is not appearing in SAP R3,sales order?

How to find out the columns which has 16 digit credit card number

Hi All,
I have a requirement where in i need to find out the columns which has 16 digit credit number in it and create a report with owner, table name and column name.
The issue is that the credit card number can be entered in any columns of any table of any schema. For example the credit card number can be entered in any description field(eg: The number is 4001412134642881), in that case i need to filter only the numbers and do the LUHN check to validate the credit card number.
Please provide me a suggestion on how to scanl the values of all the columns to know the column which has credit card number.

Tell me this - how the hell do you have a database with credit card number data and NOT know which columns of which tables contain credit card numbers? (and how on earth is this data NOT encrypted!?)
How is what you want to do, NOT a fishing expedition to hack a database that may or may not be storing credit card details?
And do you honestly think that we should simply trust that once you have extracted these numbers, performed a Luhn algorithm to verify these as credit card numbers, you are not going to fraudulently use these credit card numbers!?

Credit Card number disappears

We have an odd situation for one of our customer
The sales user1 enter the sales order and enter the credit card number under the customer Payment terms. When the user2 copies to an Invoice and drill down to the BP Payment terms the card number disappears and show history shows card number is changed to a lengthy funny characters with user2 as the user name even though user2 has not done anything. Any idea? Any known issues in SAP 8.8 PL14 hot fix 1?
For one BP, the card number itself is changed and history shows the user is user2..the payment might taken from a wrong card number..
In show history -- Difference, what does the green rows stands for?
Has anyone had this problem?

Payments BC has field called Account Number (CC_NUM), it stores encrypted value in database.
Is there any program to get it from database and decrypt it to send external system?

This may not be a proper answer to your question but it works for your requirement.
Store Credit card number to some other column before encrypting then send that to external system.

IT0105 - Credit Card Number

Hi,
We have a requirement to extract the data for credit card numbers from IT0105 , Subtype 0011.
The problem is the credit card number is encrypted. Hence not able to extract from SE16 , PA0105. (In PA20/PA30 we need to press 'credit card button', to see the actual credit card number as dialogue box)
Please suggest how to extract such encrypted credit card number directly from table as we have several thousand employees and hence can't check individual record.

What's the specific requirement for reading the CC number?
If you need it for a customer program, you can use the FM: FITP_READ_PERSONAL_CREDIT_CARD
SE37 --> FITP_READ_PERSONAL_CREDIT_CARD
The only parameter that you need is the Personnel Number (PERS_NR). It will read the CC Number sored on IT0105 - ST 0011
