Credit card payment terms in the sales order

Hi All
In the sales order, if you enter a credit card and in the payments terms field, if you forget to enter the payment term as credit card, system still allows to create the order without any error message.
The requirement is to through an error message if you dont select the payment term as credit card, when payment card is entered in the order. This validation can be done by writting the logic in userexit_save_prepare.
Without using this userexit, is there any alternative to satisfy this requirement.
Regards
Sree

dear Sree
i understand your req.
probably user exit is the best way...
as you know there are 2 payment terms fields for customer:
KNB1-ZTERM (com. code level)
KNVV-ZTERM (sales area level)
you can keep 2 different terms there using XD02  - for example your specific payment term for craedit card in KNVV, but standard terms in KNB1.
i suppose in most cases while creating order with this customer user gets payment terms exactly for credit card (which will come from KNVV-ZTERM)

  • Payment term in the sales order & credit limit exceed.

    Dear Guru,
    Problem 1:
    1. In the sales order, there are 3 lines items. As per there requirement each line item they want enter diffrent payment term.
    for example
            Material code                                              Payment terms
    1.      Fixed                                                               z045
    2.     Variable                                                           z030
    3.    Pipes                                                                 z015
how you can archive this goal. In customer master payment term is maintained only one. Please suggest me.
    Problem 2:
    1. Credit managment, If the credit  block is there in the sales order(Due to credit limit exceed) order confirmation is no goes to customer.
how we can archive this goal  by using the standard functionality.

    Hi,
    1. You can achieve it through manual entries
If you have 3 line item then at item level >> Billing document maintain payment terms
    2. If credit limit exceed then confirmation should not go to customer
Can you tell me currently how you sending confirmation to customers
If it is through simple mail then go to
IMG >> SD >> Basic functions >> Output control >> Output determination using condition techniques >> maintain out put determination for sales document >> maintain out put determination procedure
Select procedure V10000 >> go to control data
for condition type MAIL maintain requirement 9/11
(If this is not work then create new routine and add your logic that if credit limit exceeds then do not(trigger) send confirmation)

  • Do not change the payment term created a Sales Order with reference

    Hi Gurus,
Do not change the payment term created a Sales Order with reference to a contract where the payer of the change in Sales Order.

    Hello ,
As per my understanding , you do not want the payment terms to be changed even if the payer partner function is changed ,
as standard sap redetermines the payment terms with change in partner function, you may use the exit
    USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBAK- header level
    USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBAP- Item level
in this you could write a small code which will not change the payment terms when payer is redetermined
    hope this helps
    Thanks

    Hi,
You have to define the PAYMENT TERMS as per days and Percentage.
Define the Payment terms in the transaction OBB8 and assign this payment terms in the CUSTOMER MASTER and will be copied to the SALES ORDER from the customer master
In the MATERIAL MASTER in the SALES ORG 1 view you have to check the field CAHS DISCOUNT In the Pricing procedure you can defin the CASH DISCOUNT condition type ( in standard there are two SKTV & SKTO)
Now process the sales order and check

  • Payment methods in the sales order

    Hi Gurus,
How can we indicate the payment methods in the sales order.
    Thanks for your quick answer.

    Hi,
    Payment method can be found in CMR>Company Code Data>Payment Transations tab: Here you can specify the payment method {incoming/outgoing}
    > List of the Payment Methods to be Considered
List of payment methods which may be used in automatic payment transactions with this    customer/vendor if you do not specify a payment method in the item to be paid.
If you do specify a particular payment method in the item to be paid, this specification has priority over the specifications in the master record. You may also specify payment methods in the item which are not listed in the master record.
Hope this will help you in some extent.

  • Enforce payment as per payment term given on sales order

    Hi Everybody
I have created a sales order and given the payment term thereon. I want to build a check that system should not let the user ship confirm if amount has not been received as per payment term. Is there any standard solution or any workaround or personalization that can cover the above scenario.

    Hi Masood,
This can be achieved by linking the credit check rule. Payment term is one of the components for credit check.Order lines with a given payment term. Credit check can be set at different levels like booking, picking and shipping.
    For example,
With Order Management and Oracle Receivables, the payment terms also have a Credit Check flag. Disabling this flag will automatically exclude order lines with that payment term from the credit evaluation. Only those lines that have payment terms with credit checking turned on are compared against the credit limits.
    For refernce:
    Oracle® Order Management
    Implementation Manual
    Part No. E13406-04
17-4 Oracle Order Management Implementation Manual

  • Payment Term description on Sales Order Printout

    Hello,
My customer would like to have the payment term description on the sales order printout.  When selecting ORDR.GroupNum on the output in the PLD it only pulls in the the payment term code.  Does anyone have a solution that they have used to provide the description of the payment term on the printout?
I am thinking a that a formatted search is needed to pull in the information from OCTG.PymntGroup in a user defined field on the sales order that can be added to the sales order printout.  Does anyone have a query that they have used in the past to populate this user defined field on the sales order with the payment term description?  Any help you can provide on this would be much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Jordan

Instead of pulling ORDR.GroupNum in the PLD, pull the OCTG.PymntGroup in the PLD.
    This will solve the problem

  • Payment term Mandatory in Sales Order

    Dear All
I want to make Payment Term as a mandatory field in the Purchase order & Sales Order. Where can I set that as "required" in Logistic module ?

    Hi Nikkitha,
Please do the following settings and try to save the sales order system won't allow to save the sales order
    1. go toT-Code  VOV8 and tick the field "In completion message" under "Transaction flow" Tab
    2. go to T-Code VUA2 and Tick the" IC- Dialog" for corresponding Sales document type and assign the procedure
Otherwise you can do one more  thinking
Maintain the payment term is mandatory in customer master based on account group so at the time creating the customer master by using T-Code XD01, under sales View,  Billing Tab is there in that you can find out the "Terms of payment " it will show the mandatory field
if you maintained the in the customer master system automatically picks at the sale order no need to enter

  • Changing Payment terms for customer Sales Order

    Hi,
I have a requirement like scenario below :
    1. Customer sales orders are billed with X payment terms (Not installment).
    2. Subsequently, Customers agree for installment terms.
    3. A need arises to change ONLY the payment terms on the  existing billing document (without cancelling existing billing document)
    4. Is this achievable ? Via VF02 or FB02 ? Or any other means ?
    Thanks in advance.
    Bala

You cannot change the terms through the VF02; however, you can change under FB02.  Go into the accounting document you would like to change, double click on the customer account posting and you should see the payment terms highlighted for you to change.
If you do not see it changeable, it is due to security.
    Hope that helped.

  • Credit exposure updating even when the sales order is blocked

    Hi,
We are using FSCM credit management. We observed that the credit exposure is updated even when the sales order is blocked. When we investigated it is found out that SD has removed the requirement 101 in the subsequent functions. The reason is they want the confirmed quantity to be updated even though the order is blocked. This will allow the Material Planning to go ahead and purchase the goods. Is there a way around it where we can have MM see the confirmed quantity in the order and it will not updated the credit exposure?
    Thanks and Regards
    Madhu Vutukuri

    Hi Sravan,
Please let us know, whether the document is really getting reflected in the blocked documents list for a particular kind of block and you are releasing that particular block in the specified area as we have different areas for releasing blocks. Chances are that in the mean time, the concerned block might have been removed in the system and not updated as it might have been. It will be of great help, if you can provide us with the screenshots of the process followed.

  • How to get payment term of a sale order ?

    hi,
in transaction VA02, How can we know the payment term a document ? it is stored in which table ?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
In VA02 after entering the sales document number, you can find the payment terms in overview screen in Sales tab.
Goto Header, under billing Document tab you can find the payment terms also.
Similarly in item details also under billing tab you can find the payment terms for each line item.
All the payment terms that are created through "OBB8" T.Code will be stored in "T052" Table.
For your Sales order, the payment terms will be stored in "VBKD" table.Goto SE11/SE16,Enter your sales order number in VBELN field.
    Execute.
You will find the header details and item details. In each case you can find the payment terms.

  • Payment terms linkage with Sales order

    Hi experts,
Validation required on SO/DO of customer in case of overdue payment exist.
ex - Overdue days limit in customer master is defined as 60 days and if any sales invoice is pending for payment more than 61 days , in that  case , system should not allow to create SO
There should be proper releasing strategies against overdue payment.
Pl. guide us how to configure it.
    Regards,
    ( Rajneesh Gulati )

have you checked in "Overdue open items" in Customer Credit master record- FD32??
by usnig this Option, you can restrict the open items which is due for pending & further sales order for this customer will not be created depending on your Credit Management Configuration.
