Credit card purchasing unavailable.

For several days every time I try to buy a song or movie I get a window that says credit card purchasing is temprorarily unavailable. Try to make your purchase later. iTunes store is unable to process purchases at this time.
What is happening? Is anyone else experiencing this problem? It has been about four days now.

I suspect that I know what's going on here. Here's what I suspect happened and how it finally worked today.
1. A few weeks ago I purchased some songs.
2. My card which worked in the past, rejected all of the sudden. Don't know why, since I had $$ on it. It was a debit card too. The card's been getting more finicky security-wise. I've had other online purchases fail when the card was perfectly OK.
3. Anyway, I realized that I actually downloaded the song that it hiccupped on. I couldn't tell this until today. A cursory look at my account didn't reveal the issue. Itunes still wanted payment for a song I already downloaded.
4. Apple kept giving me that uninformative dialog box since it was in this funky state. No more purchases would work. Simply changing the credit card # wasn't sufficient to resolve the outstanding issue.
5. I logged in today, attempting to make a purchase. This time iTunes was more informative and told me to resolve the issue from 2 weeks ago on my acct.
6. Purchases now work.

Credit card purchasing/ error 502

for the past week when i try to buy a video in the itunes music store it either comes up with the message credit card purchasing is temporarilly unavailable or error 502 your request cannot be processed can anyone tell me how to fix this

As of today I'm still getting the "temporarily unavailable" response, even though tech support said the credit payment problem was resolved. I find it particularly perplexing when merchants refuse to take my money. Oh well, good thing I live in a capitalist society, plenty of alternatives to choose from

I was having this exact issue when I was set up to use PayPal as my payment method. I fixed it by -
1. going to my iTunes account and selecting None as my method of payment, then clicking Done
2. confirming this on my account page - which then said Add (or Set up, I can't remember) a Credit Card
3. on the Add a credit card page, I again set up the exact same PayPal account I had before.
4. I was then taken to the PayPal website to confirm that I wanted to use my PayPal account for iTunes purchases, and finally
5. I was taken back to my account page in iTunes, which looked exactly the same as before BUT...
The next time I tried it, my purchase went straight through! (And this was less than 5 minutes after I'd had the "Credit Card processing is temporarily unavailable" message.)
YMMV, but I guess a similar revalidation process would work for credit cards too.

I cant believe that the itunes music store's credit card processing is unavailable, anyone know whats up with this? since 7.3 I havent been able to get it going and it asked me to change my info so I did putting in a new card and no errors on the forms just credit card processing unavailable.

People have been asking about this here since 2007 but they all have not received ny clear answer.
That is my problem too. I hope someone comes with a solution.

I have been trying, unsuccessfully, to purchase some music since Friday, but have been unable to do so. I keep getting a message about the iTunes store not being able to process credit card purchases at this time. What is going on? Is anyone else having this problem or am I the only one? I know my credit card works, so it can't be that. SOME ONE HELP!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!

Well, I guess I have a similar problem. I downloaded about 21 tunes today, and only two of them got paid for with my Pay Pal account. The others are just sitting there, saying they're being paid for by a credit card. WHICH credit card? I don't remember authorizing iTunes to use any of my credit cards. I have $15 credit from a redeemed gift card, so why can't I use that to pay?
I do have a "backup" credit card on my Pay Pal account, but it's been deactivated because an ATM ate the card two weeks ago.
Any help?

Reconciling Credit Card Purchases in iProcurement

How does an individual reconcile credit card purchases made in iProcurement with the Bank's Credit Card statement (is there some product function in iProcurement or another module in oracle that captures the purchases made by an individual with his/her credit card in iProcurement that can be compared to what the Bank states you purchased via the monthly credit card statement)?
Any help on answering this question would be most appreciated.

You need to contact that bank and ask them to update their extension for current Firefox 5 and possibly Firefox 6, due to be released later this month.
What is the latest version that the extension supports?
If it works with Firefox 4 then you can try if it works if you override the compatibility check.<br />
Don't do that if the extension only supports Firefox 3.x versions.

Credit card processing unavailable???

Hi,
I am trying to purchase Logic X on the app store using my Paypal account (which is set up properly). But I keep getting an error which is then followed by an alert saying that 'credit card processing is unavailable at this time...please try again later'.
How do I resolve this issue? I live in the U.S. and it's 3 am. I can't call anyone can I?

I'm having the same problems. It started a couple of days ago when I was unable to download songs from my shopping cart. When I pressed the 'Buy Now' button, I received a 502 error. iTunes did not download my music so I tried again...then again...and again. Still nothing! I was concerned but figured there was a temporary problem. Later, I checked my email and I was astonished to find several PayPal receipts for my purchases at the iTunes store!! What a mess! Apparently when I pressed the 'Buy Now' button I was actually purchasing the songs even though I was never able to download them! I contacted support and they kindly refunded everything (which totalled over $50) without an explanation as to what happened or what an error 502 was! Tonight I tried again (thinking it was just a fluke) and received the 'credit card orders cannot be processed now...' error. Not sure what's going on. I never had this problem before. I hope they correct this soon.

Credit Card Processing Unavailable....for three days

For three days now I've been unable to purchase anything from the iTunes store. The store asks me to update my cc information but each I do, I receive the message that "credit card processing is unavailable now." Anyone else experiencing this? Any suggestions?

I keep getting an error message from the App Store, "Credit Card Processing temporarily unavailable right now" or something close. I know I have money on my MC and am simply trying to make in app purchase.
Anyone else getting this message??

Credit Card Purchases

We are trying to record purchases by credit card but we want to post the purchase with a debit to the expense account and credit a "Credit Card Clearing Account". We would like to do it this way to keep track of purchases with multiple vendors. Our issue is trying to match the credit card invoice to the transactions in the clearing account.
Can anyone help?
For example: I've purchased a computer from vendor PC Mall.
I created a A/P invoice for $600 but it does not allow me to change the control account from A/P to Credit Card Clearing. So it goes to the A/P Control Account.
Then I receive my credit card invoice and I created a Outgoing Payment payable to the credit card company. I can't link it to the A/P Invoice so I charge it to the credit card clearing out.
How can I offset one to the other?

ID required for credit card purchase in store

I visited Best Buy store number 1421 on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at approximately 3:30 PM. I selected my desired item and went to the checkout area. I gave him my phone number to look up my rewards information and verified the info. I then presented a signed MasterCard credit card for payment (which had the same name as the info now showing on his screen), whereupon the clerk asked for my ID. I declined. He then stated that he could not process the transaction without seeing my ID. I again declined, and stated that I would not be completing the transaction. At this point, he went to check with someone else (presumably a manager) and returned with the same story. I left without purchasing my item.
Please inform your managers and employees of proper practices when dealing with credit card transactions.
I have notified MasterCard of this non-compliance concerning the merchant agreement and will be unable to shop with Best Buy if this practice continues.

When our employees ask for an ID it should normally be when the card is not endorsed with a signature, says “See ID”, or our system prompts us to call for a referral for approval.
