Credit Card Swipe device compatibility

I currently have Torch 9800 and it does not appear to be compatible with any (Square, Payd, PayPal Here, etc) credit card swipe devices. Will BB10 have any compatible models?

a 2-minute search on Google showed me that there are numerous Credid Card Swipe apps available for BlackBerry devices... have you looked at :

Problem with Credit Card Swiper

I am using an IDTECH credit card swiper with a web-based POS system. When I swipe a card, the ^ symbol is replaced with the & symbol on mountain lion but the swiper works fine on 10.5.8. I have checked my keyboard and text and language settings in the control panel but could not find anything that would cause that. In fact I tried adding "replace & with ^ but it only worked for replacing one of the two symbols that come up when you swipe a card. HELP!!!

Plug the swiper into the USB port of your computer and make sure you have a credit card handy to run a test.
From your desktop open the System Preferences.
Select the "Keyboards" option.
Select the "Change keyboard type" option.
Click continue.
When you are notified to press a key, swipe your credit card.
Select the language.
Click okay.

I'm selling my books at a meeting and will have my MacBook with me. What's the best hardware and software for swiping and processing credit cards? There are so many out there, I'd love to get the informed opinion of the Apple community.

I just got a Q10 and I can't seem to find a credit card reader for the device.
I've run searches on google and almost all of the readers that I've found listed either no longer support BB or they don't support OS10.
Any help would be appreciated or I have to move to an iPhone.

My present merchant service company no longer supports BB and google search only turned up one company that supports BB and that company has very bad reviews.

IPhone Wireless Credit Card Machine Swiper

Does anyone know of a mobile credit card machine/swiper that is compatible with and iphone. I am trying to connect a small credit card machine to my iphone so I can except credit cards at this summers Art Festivals.

No, but I would consider using a connection other than cellular to process credit cards, for a number of reasons.
Using a non-encrypted cellular link to process credit cards is just a really dumb idea. I certainly would not be handing you my credit card to do so on a show floor. Think about it: what is transmitted?
• the full 15 or 16 digit card number
• the 4 character card expiration date
• the 3 or 4 character CVV2 code
• a street address numeric value
• the ZIP code associated with that address
That's all anyone needs to process legitimate looking but clearly fraudulent transactions. In addition, you cannot use your iPhone, smartphone or mobile handset for voice calls while doing so.
Using an IP link, preferably a hard-wired one, may entail modifying your current processing relationship with your clearing operation and with your bank. If you are clearing presently using an IP interconnection, you are likely doing so while running an application on your computer, not using a standard terminal.
The simplest way to process credit cards is with a plain old telephone line and a simple swipe terminal, such as a TRANZ 330 or similar dial-up device, either a spare you have on hand and already programmed, or an additional one you can obtain from your merchant bank. If you have a dial tone, you can process cards rapidly in this manner. While it can be a shared line, you will need to maintain control over its use to insure that the line is free when you want to process cards.

Trying change my credit card info from previously lost credit card but can't since it says I'm accessing from new device and asks for security code for a card i no longer have. What can I do?

I've recently gotten a new laptop and replaced my damaged iphone. Apparently these 2 scenarios qualify as "new devices". This is fine but I also had lost my credit card previously that was connected to my iTunes account, and got a new one with all different numbers. When I try to change my billing information to this new card it won't let me because it says
"Your account has been accessed from a new device, and you must verify your payment information before you can make purchases."
and it asks for the security code of the card I had lost and replaced! I am not able to change my billing info to my new card thus because I can't get past this.

Alternatively you can always manage your iPads (does not matter how many) with a single apple id and all reporting to your account under "find my device" service. Keeping an eye on all your units. You may be able to select None as a payment method, rather than having a credit card on their accounts with this article:

If ios 5.1.1 on iPad 1 is no longer supported, is the device safe to use for credit card payments?
I know the reasons why Apple no longer update IOS for Ipad 1.
Due to end of life support, no bug fixes for older apps and constant vulnerabilities being exploited, does this now make the device insecure and vulnerable? either information stored on the device or (especially) when making credit card payments through Safari, etc.

I would say your biggest issue isn't as much your operating system as it is the network you use your device on. For example the most secure device in the world can be used at McDonalds open wifi and have its info intercepted....and it's not your device's fault rather the connection. Any security program is only as good as its weakest component.
THe iOS operating systems are still very secure because they are highly resistent to viruses and malware....but a user can still click on that 'you won a million dollars' link in an e-mail and hand their personal info over to a hacker.
If you feel you can no longer trust it, then stop using it. But I would say a user's internet connection and behavior are larger security vulnerabilities than any device.

It sounds like a phishing email. You can't "cancel" purchases. You've now given them your AppleID and password, so you should immediately change your password to something new and very secure.
Also watch out for suspicicious activity on your account.
