Credit Control Area - SAP ISU FICA or SAP Finance (ERP) ???
Hello Experts,
I was reading about credit control area which is basically - organizational unit that represents an area responsible for granting and monitoring credit. One control area can corresponds to many company code (though vice versa is not true).
So my question is, in term of work order planning should I consider Credit Control Area as a part of SAP Finance (ERP) or SAP - ISU?
Please let me know best reason to put it into any side. I want this information for planning purpose. Kind of vague question, my apologies for that.
Thanks.
Yes, you will be dealing with new transactions and with a different customizing, for example:
Functional:
Financial Supply Chain Management ->Credit Management->Rule for Scoring and Credit Limit Calculation and Check Rule
Customizing:
Financial Supply Chain Management->Credit Management->Credit Risk Monitoring
FSCM Credit management is far more complete functionality than AR Credit management.
Best regards,
Cristobal.

Hi All,
I had a requirement which says.
When a payment is received in third party system, then we have to trigger a RFC to post payment in SAP ISU FICA.
This RFC will post the payment and return the payment document number.
what all done in the payment third party system should be posted in SAP synchronously.
Does any one have an Idea of a BAPI / RFC which i can use for this purpose.
Regards,
Himanshu SharmaIf you have PI available, you should look into the External cash desk functionality
http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/ESpackages/ExternalCashDesk
If you dont have PI available, then you could look into the following BAPIs:
BAPI_CTRACPAYMINC_CREATE
BAPI_CTRACPAYMINC_APPEND
BAPI_CTRACPAYMINC_RELEASE
BAPI_CTRACPAYMINC_CLOSE

Credit Control Area Management
Dear All
As part of Enhancement, we are configuring the "Customer Credit management" with Credit Control area organizational object.
Client has identified to use "Decentralized" Credit control management, but however, all comapny codes are assigned with one controlling area since implementation (since 2.5 years).
Though Credit Control area was assigned during implementation, it was actually not used. Now they wanted to use the same. However, they wanted different Credit controlling area for different company codes.
However, If I am assigning new Credit controlling area now to respective company codes, then system is considering the AR transaction data posted from the date it is assigned. but, we want new credit control areas to consider all the data from past 2.5 years. Is this possible?
If possible, please help, how to fix this.
Your help highly appreciated
best regards
S Habib Pasha.Hi Habib
There is a standard SAP program that lets you revamp all the entered data to their correct credit control area and the steps involved are:
u2022 Table dumps of KNKK, S066, S067 on the old Credit Control Area
u2022 Check and export the values from Report VKM4 to ascertain the number of blocked orders
u2022 In SM30, Update the Tables T014n and T001cm
u2022 Go to Transaction OB38 and assign your new CCA as default for the company codes
u2022 Run the transaction F.28/RFDKLI20 execute without any parameters {check the test run output}
u2022 Execute Program RVKRED09 {might not be required u2013 since RFDKLI20 does redo the credit check}
u2022 Validate VKM4 for all blocked orders
u2022 If there were any discrepancy between AR receivables and the Credit Master, it can be viewed by executing the Program RFCORR40
Also make sure that if you are using the different CCA for the same Co Code, in OB38 - you have checked the 'Overwrite CCA'' check box.
Hope this helps you; let me warn you - its a very tedious process and it might take a whole weekend to run this in a Production Client
Good luck

Can we assign 2 credit control area for one company codes
hi,
sap gurus,
can we assign 2 credit control areas to one company codes ?
yes we can.
but
what is the impact of that
can any one analyse.
regards,
balaji.t
09990019711Hi,
we can have multiple credit control areas based on req-
eg: client wants to restrict customer based on divisoin wise.
then we will maintain credit control area based on sales area
there 3 division in a comp: AA -BB - CC
thens sales areas will be:
1000-10 -AA
1000-10-BB
1000-10-CC ( assuming therez one sales org-1000 & dc 10)
now create 3 cr control areas- OB45
Assign sales area to cr Control area - OVFL
Assign permitted credit control areas to comp code - IMG- FA- AR&AP- Credit Management- Credit control account - Assign permitted credit control areas to comp code.
Now you can assign this Cr CA- by sales area wise in CMR & maintain the credit limits for each Cr CA.
So when ever your needs wants to do it by division or sales area wise you can do this.
Thanks,

Combine all payers from two Credit Control Areas (CCA) under one CCA
Short Description:
My goal is to combine all payers, currently in two separate Credit Control Areas under the same Credit Control Area to leverage to combined credit control maintenance where the customer exists in both entities and minimize duplicate credit control area maintenance as the credit control logic should be the same in the current 2 distinct CCAs.
Scenario Description.
Current SAP configuration setup:
Company codes: CN01 (Shanghai) and HK01 (China)
Control Areas: CN01 and HK01
Sales Organizations: CN01 and HK01
Customers: the same Customer Numbers in CN01 and HK01.
There are many currently OPEN A/R.
The goal: Combine all CN01 and HK01 payers under the same credit control area to leverage the combined credit control maintenance where the customer exists in both entities and minimize duplicate credit control area maintenance as the credit control logic should be the same in the current 2 distinct CN01 and HK01 Credit Control Area.
I would appreciate a solution path along with suggesting the re-indexing jobs that should be run to fix the open AR.
Thanks,

Credit Control area not filled in table KNVV
Hi everyone,
I am new to the forum and first and foremost want to thank the particpants here for their contributions, which have helped me a lot in the past.
I am facing a problem today and hope some of you could assist me with some hints on how to solve it. In the existing forum entries I could not find a solution.
I am working in a Rapid Deyployment Solution IS Retail ERP and am trying to have table field knvv-kkber filled (credit control area). Right now it remains empty, although customizing exists in a way that credit control area exists, it is assigned to company code and sales area. Customer also has a record in table knkk for the respective credit control area. Obviously field credit control area in tcode xd02 is not available and would also not be available for editing, even when screen tab customizing were changed. It is only shown in xd03. Also former key users working with a different IS Retail installation told me that they never keyed in credit control area in customer master tcodes xd*. So I am wondering right now, how system fills that field.
Thank you a lot for your help.
Regards
Christian"""Just adding in Lakshmipathi's comment that if we maintain credit control area in KNVV-KKBER field and we have also assigned it in IMG with sales area system will give preference to KNVV-KKBER. If you have not assigned it customer master then system will determine it from customization.""""
Dear Moazzam, sorry--I need to differ with these statements.
Always System will gives the priority to sales area then only to customer.(in determining credit control area)
let me explain: If we take Credit control area determinations will follow the below procedure:
1.Through the exit(EXIT_SAPLMV45K_001)
2.Sales area(distribution channel)
3.Customer master
4.Company code
Note: For the first 3 situations,mandatorily- you need to assign your credit control area to your company code.(Deriving the Credit Control Area - Credit and Risk Management (SD-BF-CM) - SAP Library)
Dear Christain:
As you are aware, we can maintain credit control areas can differ for each sales area.
For example, same customer has been maintained with two different sales areas.
Customer X in sales Area 1000/10/00-can have credit control area A
Same customer in sales area 1000/20/00-can have credit control area B.
If business wants to maintain at customer master level--they can maintain( it is optional)
Otherwise simply they can assign for the sales area which will be defaulted into transaction level.
This is what is happening in your case.
Note: if you maintain assignments for your sales area--then this will be defaulted into KNVV-KKBER,even though you doesn't maintain manually in XD**/VD** Tcodes.
Hope this helps.

Functional area and Credit Control area
HI
Dear Guru's
Kindly explain me the ,the differenec between Functional area and credit control
area, with examples.
with regards
Arun KumarHi Arun Kumar,
Functional Area :
It organize your business for cost of sales accounting. It allow you to segregate and classify different types of costs within one expense account. For e.g. a single labour account to determine what amount of labour is spent directly on production as compare to sales or hr.
OKBD - Maintain Functional Area
Credit control area:
An organisational unit that represents an area responsible for granting and monitoring credit.
outstanding recievables can spoil the business process. to
control credit limits in sap system we can configure credit
control area.
one company code can hav one credit control area only
but one credit control area can hav many company codes
i.e. u can assign one credit control area to many company
codes.
the relationship is one to many.

Two credit control are at the same sales order.
Hello Gurus,
I would like to know how if you can help with the following subject:
I have two sales area:
XXXX YY A1
XXXX YY A2
And for each sales area it´s assigned two credit control areas, like:
XXXX YY A1 to credit control area A
XXXX YY A2 to credit control area B
Is it possible to create a sales order with these two sales area?
We need to have credit control limit differents for sales area (customers), but also we like two have only one sales order to manage. Is it possible?
Many thanks in advanced.
Luiz GeraldiHi Luiz,
In sales booking screen VA01 t-code we have the following fields as necessary input.
Order Type
Sales organization
Distribution channe
Division
Sales office
Sales group
All these fields need to be unique in order to save this document.
So we can input any number of materials provided the above details are unique.
We can have more than 1000 line items, but all these materials need to be in a single sales organization, distribution channel and division.
As this is a standard SAP functionality, i am afraid there is no customization by which we can change this (as far i my knowledge goes)
Hope i am right in my approach,
correct me if i am wrong;
Let me know if you have further concerns;

Making Credit control area filed mandatory in F-29
Hi
Our customers give advances. We have three credit area depending on 3 separte business lines.
When any users post advances to customers, user forgets to enter credit control area in F-29. So i want to make credit control area field mandatory in F-29.
I do not find this field in field status variant. So that option is gone.
I also tried with SHD0. But SAP tells that SHD0 cannot be used for parameters transactions.
I tried with Validations. Its working fine. But i am keen to explore above two options.
Please help.
Edited by: Deepak Agrawal on Dec 22, 2011 1:56 AMHi:
In GGB0 it is possible to make
KKBER mandatory for data
entry in more data button for
customer recon a/c line item
F-29. I have myself done it. Please proceed as
follows
Go to GGB0 Financial
Accounting..Line item
Create validation name
Go to step----Prerequisite
write
( BKPF-TCODE = 'FBA1' ) AND
( BSEG-KOART = 'D' )
Go to check now and write
BSEG-KKBER = '123' (you can mention as many as credit control area here)
Go to message
Create an error message and assign
to the validation you
created.
For BSEG-KKBER = '123' i
wrote 123 as dummy you
can mention as many credit
control area as have defined
in SD area over
here.Validation check is
created now go to OB28 and
assign it there. I bet it will work. Revert back if
you feel any difficulty.

can we have 2 credit control area for one sales organisation.
plz explain the impact from taking fi and sd into consideration.

balaji.t
09990019711Dear Balaji,
We can't assign credit control area to the sales organisation
Sales area will be assigned to the Credit control area
Only one credit control area will be assigned to each sales area.
More then one credit control area will not be assigned to single sales area.
But one Credit control area we can assign to more than one sales areas.
I hope it will help you,
