Credit inactive?

Credit INACTIVE!?!?!
I've got this message below. This is incredible!
To have some credit when it might need it, I purchase some credit and now you say it will become inactive? Why is that? Is it to heavy for you to hold 10 EURO? Ok then send it back but DO NOT CREATE A PROBLEM TO A USER
Your credit will become inactive in 7 days
You don't seem to have used any of your Skype Credit in a while. It becomes inactive if you haven't used it in 180 days. But don't worry - once it becomes inactive, you can reactivate it whenever you're ready to use it. Simply sign into your account online and follow the option to Reactivate credit.

  • How to get around credit inactivity?

I purchased Skype Credit to be used in the event that I lose or break, or need to call it to find it. Today I get an email saying that I need to make a call or send an SMS to keep my credit active.
So I need to SPEND the credit I BOUGHT to be able to use it?
It feels like some sick twisted version of "use it or lose it," and it feels unethical.
Is there a way to keep my credit without throwing it away for some petty phone call?
    Thanks in advance,
    C

In the history of money. money does expire.  If a country is changing over theor currency (for example to Euro) and you don't go the bank to swap out your money for that currency in the allotted timeframe, the money becomes worthless.  If you don't use your Skype credit via a transaction once at least every 6 months the credit become inactive.  It's similar to banks that deactivate your bank account if there is no activity in 2 years.  Major credit card gift cards also deactivate after non-use and impose fees monthly until the remaining balance is gone.  Luckily in almost all countries you can reactivate your Skype credit rather easily:
    https://secure.skype.com/account/credit-reactivate
This will reset that 6-month timer.

  • Why does Skype make your credit inactive?

I was just curious on if anyone knew why Skype would de-activate your credit after 180 days.  That irks me quite a bit seeing how I paid for those credits.  If I just wanted to throw money money away I could do it faster if I walked over to at trashcan.
I have periods of time when I am active on skype for various reasons (interviews, traveling in a different country, poor cell phone reception, etc.) and other times when I am inactive.  For this reason I decided to buy Skype Credit so I can have a form of communication incase my cell phone doesn't work.  I almost lost that credit if I didn't sign in today.  Shouldn't the policy be once paid for that you always have?  What if I am in a situation where my phone craps out (Reception, breaks, battery runs out) and I have to make a very important call and I login to Skype to do so only to find out I'm screwed on that end as well?
I am just curious on your thoughts and was wondering if anyone can provide an explanation on this poor business practice (I'm a little jaded at this point).

I agree.  This policy is extremely annoying for consumers.  I think that it would help people if Skype were to give a reason why they insist on inactivating credit after 180 days and sending you endless emails about it and generally wasting their consumers' time.

  • Credit inactive before 180 days

I just received an e-mail stating that my Skype credit will become inactive in 7 days. This is the first notice I receive. For my surprise I just logged into my account and foud out that my credit is already inactive. My last call was on 26th January 2015 so my credit should be active until the 25th of July, in 7 days just as the e-mail said. I would appreciate Skype following their own policy and keeping my credit active until the date it's supposed to be. Thanks.

Hello Norman,Thanks for your reply. My account shows that my credit is inactive as you can see in the following screenshot.

  • Duplicate autocharge

My account was set to auto recharge of a $10 when the balance goes under $2. The balance was 4.09 yet it  has been charged twice for $10 the same day. The only recourse I had was a chat, and after about a half hour of frustrating chat with a person who did not understand and worse yet stated eronious information I finally got the excess charges refunded. What should have taken one line and two minutes eneded up as a lengthy back and forth with a non-english speaker I had to instruct again and again about Skype own rules.
Way to go Skype! Here is the chat for anyone else  with this issue - so you know what to expect ... (bold tyope added by me to show extreme lack of understading and misinformation)

Hi, I have an auto charge set for a $10 recharge with a threshold of $2. I was rechatged $10 twice today
Hi! This is Levinia A. Welcome to Skype! What seems to be the issue?
Oh, sorry to hear about your issue.
well?

So, I can see that you got charged double for today at $10 each.
    right

Ok, let me see what we can do about it.
I'm gonna check on your account, and to get to it, can I have your first name and Skype username please?
    My name, Skype name
    Thanks for that.
Give me a moment to look that up for you. And surely, I'll get back to you in a minute.
    OK
    Thanks for waiting.
    OK
I've checked on your account, and I figured out based on our records that your Skype Credit account got charged automatically as it was set up for auto top up.
However, reason is because of the recurring payment for your Skype Premium subscription, as the payment method that was used for this when you initially signed up for that, is Skype Credit.
If you will check your subscription page, you have this subscription for Skype Premium signed up on May 30, 2012 for 12 months plan.
And please be guided that subscription is recurring the payment 3 days before its expiration date.
What does the auto recharge have to do with the premium account that I canceled just now?
But the payment did not went through, as your Skype Credit account has no sufficient balance to support the recurring payment for your Premium account.
That payment has been charged for 59 and was refused
    You are absolutely right.
Because, you stopped auto recharge for your Skype Credit account, that is the reason why your recurring payment for the Premium account was refused.
    Ok?
Anything else further?
You have it all confused. The two issues have nothing to do with one another. Renewal did not go through, I canceled, No money changed hand. Renewal was set before and after, charged twice instead of once. I want the second charge back.
Also it shows I had 4.09 credit refunded to my account never registered on my credit card. Where is the 4.09?
    Sorry for the confusions.
Those messages are just to explain to you further the reason why you got charged for 2 $10 in your account, as it needed to top up your Skype Credit to support the recurring payment of your Skype Premium account that is needed to recurr today, May 27, 2013.
However, as the payment agreement for your Skype Premium account as well was already cancelled, seemed you've done it from your end based on our records, reason why further the recurring payment for this subscription was refused.
However, further since those two $10 are still unused, we can still process your request for cancellation of the order and still refund to you the payment.
Ok? Just only please confirm before we proceed.
This is not accurate the two are not linked you can not use the autocharge for premium membership and you did not!
Can I speak to someone else?
You do not seem to understand the issues and I feel I'm wasting my time!
Auto recharge refers to Skype Credit auto top up while generally for subscription, it is automatically recurring the payment 3 days prior to its expiration date.
Sorry to confused you for that.

Stop wasting my time with BS you do not understand anything and keep writing nonesense
And further to explain that 4.09 credit refunded to your account, it is due to your Skype Credit inactive balance that was reactivated because of the Premium account with payment method of Skype Credit.
    NOTHING WAS REFUNDED

I am sorry, completely understand your concern. And I apologize for making it confused. Refunded inactive Skype Credit is returned to your Skype Credit balance on May 21, 2013. Based on our records.

you need to refund me 10 and 4.09. Can you do that or not
do you have a superviser?
Under our refund policy, we can only refund payment for unused services of Skype Credit, since based on our records that those two $10 orders are not yet used, we can still process refund of payment anytime.
But the 4.09 inactive balance on May 21, 2013, has been credited back already to your Skype Credit balance.
very good. Just refund 20 that haven't been used
Please continue to hold while I process your request. Thanks for waiting.
We have successfully reversed payment to your order for your last subscription, as you requested. When you
requested the refund for this order, we had not received the payment yet. Therefore, instead of refunding you, we have reversed the
    payment.
    OK
You should receive the reverse of the payment within 57 working days from your funding source to your bank.

Hi, i'm in UAE for travel, my account says that my skype number is inactive, but i have enough credit. How can i active it??

What type of license is the key for: individual, student/teacher, government, team, enterprise, promotional, bundled, what?
Where did you get the software installer from, a link in your purchases area or a download elsewhere on Adobe's site or from ProDesignTools?
Is there anything that was done out of the ordinary, originally, to get your software to work?
In other words might the key be for a different type of license than the installer you're trying to use.

  • How to inactive "Credit Limit" field under "Payment Term" tab of BP Master

    Hi,
Can anyone tell how to inactive "Credit Limit" field under "Payment Term" tab of BP Master Data in BP module?   I'd prefer to revise SAP SP (store procedure)...
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Michelle,
You could use the sample codes available while installing the SDK setup.
like in this path C:\Program Files\SAP\SAP Business One SDK\Samples\COM UI\VB.NET
Add this code under SBO_Application_ItemEvent which will disable the field.
            If (pVal.FormType = 134 And pVal.EventType = SAPbouiCOM.BoEventTypes.et_FORM_LOAD And pVal.Before_Action = False) Then
                Dim oforms As SAPbouiCOM.Form
                Dim oitems As SAPbouiCOM.Item
                oforms = SBO_Application.Forms.GetFormByTypeAndCount(pVal.FormType, pVal.FormTypeCount)
                oitems = oforms.Items.Item("85")
                oitems.Enabled = False
            End If
Note that the above is only a sample code and you have to track other events as well to disable this field like in add mode, browsing records
If you need help with SDK, post it in SDK forum.

  • Re: My inactive skype credit cannot be reactivated

As per other posters, I have received the email prompting me to reactivate my credit.  But yet again the email is misleading (I've seen this before, some time ago & still not rectified).  It states:
"But don't worry - once it becomes inactive, you can reactivate it whenever you're ready to use it. Simply sign into your account online and follow the option to Reactivate credit.".
Firstly, if I log in to my Skype account direct from Skype.com, I do not see any option to 'Reactivate'!  I then searched forums and found this link: https://secure.skype.com/portal/settings/credit/reactivate.  If I login via this I do get 'Reactivate Skype Credit' at top of screen with a back (left facing) arrow next to it which appears to be the clickable option.  However, if I click on this all it does is takes me back to a page saying "Your Skype Credit becomes inactive in nn day(s)."  I first assumed there was a time delay on this, but no.  I've logged in a few days later and still does not appear to be reactivated.
If Skype send an email, it would help if the instructions bore some relation to the reality!  Despite numerous attempts, I still do not appear to have reactivated my credit.  PLEASE advise how one can actually do this.
(I am mindful of one of designer Dieter Rams's famous 'ten commandments': "Good design is self-explanatory".  In this respect, Skype's website/process certainly isn't good design).

This is really interesting. It seems as if Microsoft/Skype deleted my old posts, or made them difficult to find, and forgot to take me off my own thread. I created this thread sometime ago to find a solution to my inactive skype credit.
I was able to get my credits reactivated, but to the people that asked me how to do it, I couldn't give them an answer. I received an "update internet explorer" post. But at that time, I didn't do any such thing since I do not understand how IE and Skype are related. Nevertheless my credits seemed to reappear. I have since let the credits go back into inactive mode out curiosity. I've logged my post and saved to my records this time, so hopefully, it will stay up, and this problem can keep receiving exposure.
As I typed this I remember now that I posted Skype's terms of conditions. Here is section 9.2 from their February 25, 2015 version of Skype's terms and conditions. It reads:
"9.2 Inactive Skype Credit. If you do not use your Skype Credit for a period of 180 days, (including Skype Credit that has been allocated to you by a Skype Manager administrator or another Skype user) Skype will place your Skype Credit on inactive status. You can reactivate the Skype Credit by following the reactivation link in My Account at https://secure.skype.com/account/credit-reactivate. Reactivated Skype Credit is not refundable."
So, if you haven't tried to go to that link, I would do that first. Hope this helps.

  • Inactive customers and credit limits

    Hi
Is there a way to have a list of inactive customers since a particular date and review their credit limits. would like to change all credit limits for inactive customers to 0 and have them on ship block
    Cheers

    Hi Eric,
1.) Go to transaction MC+E (Customer Analysis).
2.) Enter criteria to selection screen. If sales is zero, that particular customer is inactive for the given period.
3.) To review their credit limit, go to transaction SE16N, enter table name KNKK (Customer master credit management)
    Best regards,

  • Your credit will become inactive in 7 days

This is the second time in the last couple of years that I've received an email from Skype saying "Your credit will become inactive in 7 days. You don't seem to have used any of your Skype Credit in a while. It becomes inactive if you haven't used it in 180 days. But don't worry - once it becomes inactive, you can reactivate it whenever you're ready to use it. Simply sign into your account online and follow the option to Reactivate credit.  I am an active Skype user and cannot understand the inability of this company to recognize the frequency of my skype calls. Is there an actual phone number that I can call to discuss this with? The last time this happened, they confiscated my credit, but restored it after I did  successfully talk with a human. Unfortunately, I didn't save that precious number! What's the deal with this???

    Hello

  • How we can inactive the credit account for our customer

    Hi Gurus,
Can you please let me know, Where we can deactivate the credit account for our customer?
    Thanks in advance
    Mayank Tyagi

    Hi Mayank,
            As per my Understanding.
here you are trying to enter the payer code different as sold to party.
    if its so,
both ur customer-sold to & Payer has credit master records ( check in FD32).
both might have maintained different credit limits.
so when you enter the payer different as customer, based on credit management configuration - systems check for the Payer as well as Sold to's credit records, if both r different then system prompts this error message.
As i know, it wont allow you to proceed further.
this is the reason in many cases your sold to & payer will be same.there could be chance, that your ship to will be different.
my query is: - why you are trying to enter 2 different ( sold to & payer) partners?
any doubts plz let me know.
    hope it clears,
