Credit Life Insurance Fee on BB credit card charges since 2004

Wow, I am in awe that this has been charged to my account since 2004 even though I never authorized it.
I even called and had it cancelled in 2004 but I believe it gets added everytime you make a purchase at Best Buy.
It is currently at $600 a year.
I called today to get it cancelled again and requested I be reimbursed for all charges.  I was told it has been cancelled and would get a letter in 30 days as to the status of my request.  At this time, I will not be using the credit card ever again nor shop at Best Buy until this is resolved completely to my satisfaction.
I plan to complain to BBC, FTC and any other source I can to get reimbursed.
No other credit card I have does this to me.  Granted, I do not look at my monthly statements for all my accounts, something caled TRUST that I grew up with.

Having the Credit Life Insurance program on your credit card can be truly helpful should you ever find yourself in an unexpected situation. I certainly would be furious to find I was paying for it for 11 years without my knowledge though, especially if I was under the impression it was cancelled long ago.  I’m sorry to hear of the struggles you’ve encountered while trying to resolve this on your own.

    You shouldn't have to put in a credit card, no, but from time to time the iTunes Store seems for some reason to try to insist on one. If just confirming your mailing address doesn't stop it from complaining, go here:

    and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store.

    My younger brother had the same problem. You have to go into settings, app store, details and then change your credit card details to none. If there is no none option, you will have to use a different apple id.

    1$ charge is a test to ensure the authorization of credit card. This amount is returned to customer's account.
    Credit card information is not stored anywhere with us. We just have the last four digits of the credit card with us. Rest of the information is deleted from the system after use and instead a token is used which is secure and is not customer's credit card number.

    You can create an iTune and App Store account without credit card details
    1. Sign out of current Apple ID if you are sign-in to one (important)
    2. Go to App Store and select a free app
    3. Tap INSTALL APP
    4. Create New Apple ID
    5. Confirm Your Country
    6. Agree with Terms and Conditions
    7. Fill in your Apple ID and Password (you must create a new Apple ID; don't use your old Apple ID)
    8. Create and answer your secret question
    9. Select NONE for Payment Method
    10. Fill in Billing Address
    11. Submit application for new Apple ID
    12. Wait for verification email
    13. When email arrive, verify your account
    14. Start downloading your free apps

    It's not a temporary store holding charge as per the page that you posted from (you' haven't changed the card details on your account ?) and you've checked the purchase history on your account : if you log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option, you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it, click on that and you should then see a list of the purchases.
    If you didn't make the purchase, and nobody else has access to your account or devices and may have done so, then you can contact iTunes Support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

    No, gifting (either an amount or a song, app etc) can only be done via a credit card - you can't use your balance for gifting.

    Hi Aviation, I'm a little curious about the guilty pleasures now. :P
    Upon registration you'll get a confirmation email to whichever email you tied to your Spotify account. As far as the card charges go, for me they look like "RECURRING PAYMENT AUTHORIZED ON 05/28 Spotify USA [personal credit details not going on the internet]," so you can expect something similar.
