sesidharHiiiii
It is very much possible in SAP
first you have to create credit control area
then assign your company code to your credit control area
then create your customer and assign credit control area in billing tab (for that u have to activate credit control area for your transaction by OB20)
Then go to t-code VOA8
assing credit check to your sales document type
create credit control area automatic with your credit control area.

Does Simple Credit Limit Check Include Checking for Open Orders
Hi all,
I have this issue here where I have configured the system to use simple credit limit check with error message. I did not use the standard/common automatic credit limit check since user insist on a pop-up warning and that the order could not be saved. But, I realized that it does not take open orders into account too although I have set the risk categories. Is it true and what solution is there for this issue then.
Thank you for all your help in inputs.

YvonneHi,
Please follow the below configuration settings for Simple credit check process.
Simple credit check: In simple credit check the system compares the credit exposure with payers credit limit. The
credit exposure results from the total of the net document value and the value of the open items.
We can set the following system responses at when the credit limit has been reached.
A u2013Warning message
B u2013 Error message
C u2013 Delivery block

Credit control area is an organizational unit that specifies and checks the credit limit for customers. A credit control
area can include one or more company codes. It means we can assign one credit control area to number of company

Fiscal year variant [K4]: It indicates specific fiscal year variant for particular credit control area. The fiscal year
variant is essential when a credit control area covers multiple company codes whose fiscal years are different. Then
the values of the open orders are updated by posting period.
Specify risk category [001]: 001 = High risk
002 = Medium risk
003 = Low risk
This risk category entered in the related control area of the customeru2019s credit master record, which is automatically
created when a customer is created in a company code.
The credit master record is automatically maintained when at least one of the below fields is maintained for the
corresponding control area.
(A) Risk category
(B) Credit representative group
(C) Credit limit
Credit limit: The credit limit that we enter here in the specific credit control area of the customeru2019s credit master
record. This is automatically created when a customer is created in a company code (in XD01).
NOTE: This credit limit is not a total credit limit for the control area.
Representative group [001]: Define credit representative group in IMG.
All company codes: If we want to tell to the system that, this credit control area is permitted for
postings in every company code we have defined.
Save and Exit
NOTE: After this create Risk categories and Credit representative groups and come back to this step and assign
these values to our credit control area.

Go to FD32 and check whether system created customeru2019s credit master data automatically or not.
System creates customers credit master data automatically when we (FI/CO) people) configure credit control area in

So as to perform simple credit check we have to specify customer master payers limit in the credit control area, and
create customer master in XD01 transaction code.
Specify reconciliation account number (GL account number)
Payment history record: Check payment history record control in payment transaction tab. It is the
control parameter to update the payment details that are made by customers and system will show the
payment details in the FD32.
Specify the credit control area in credit control area field in billing document tab.
Save and Exit
Go to VA01 and raise the sales order
Check the system responses in each and every level of sales document processing and check whether the system
blocked the delivery document (due to the setting in VOV8 of OR in check credit limit field [C] = Blocked for
delivery).
To release the delivery go to VKM4 and release the delivery document. -
Dynamic Credit Limit check not giving error message
Hi!
I have configured the credit management like below:
1. high risk, medium risk, low risk category.
2. credit control area with update : 00000012
3. In pricin procedure for net value, routine "A" is given.
4. In Item Category, Credit Active tick mark is checked.
3. Assigned D, credit group 01(Credit Group for Sales Order) in sales document types.
4. assigned credit group in Delivery document types.
5. configured automatic credit control;
for high risk, with credit group 01 , dynamic check with reaction D , and status/block tick by considering open order and open deliveries .
My main aim is when sale order is creating, system should give error message , when credit limit is exceeded.
But system is giving following information message only:
Dynamic credit check: credit limit exceeded (data
cannot be saved)
250.00 USD
that is only information message and allowing to save the sael order and delivery also.
can any one give idea where config is missed.
we have activated FSCM also, but no link to credit control area.

Dear experts
I am facing a problem in credit control check , for a customer I have done configuration settings in SPRO sales credit management , Define automatic credit control ,in that i defined dynamic credit check .
it is working fine but the problem is when new customer is created and maintained credit limit in code FD32 , it is not checking any credit limit which have defined in FD32 ,it is allowing me to create any amount of sale invoice to customer,
Thanks in advance
Regards
SrinivasRangiHave you assigned a risk category to your customer in FD32, which you might have defined in OVA8. Also, did you ticked against open orders and open deliveries in while defining dynamic credit check for your risk category in OVA8.
See, in OVA8 against the combination of your credit control area and risk category, define dynamic credit check, put a check against open orders and open deliveries, so that it takes them into account while calculating credit exposure for that customer. Also assign this risk category in FD32 for that customer.
Hope this is of some help for you.....
Reward, if helpful....

User exit for merging the credit limit in different credit control area.
Dear All,
Please provide user exit for the merging the credit limit in different credit control area as well as logic for the same.
I have to merge the overall credit limit of the customer for some divisions. At this time in one company code we have created 9 credit control area as per product line. While creating customer master data and Credit management (FD32) user has assigned the different limit with respective to credit control area e. g Customeru2019s total limit assigned is 10 laks. For credit control 1100 Limit is Rs. 3 laks and for credit control area 2200 limit is 7 laks. Now the user wants to merge the credit limit for only above two credit control area. The sales orders should get created in any credit control area up to 10 laks.

SureshDear Damodhar/All,
Would you please explain me prerequisite setting from functional side for these user exit?
I want complete functional setting prior to ABAP application so that it work properly post configuration.

Credit limit Block for Sales Order.
Hi.
when customer will create Sales order, it should get blocked for Credit check.
& customer will realese it with VKM3 transaction for particular document type .
Where will i do the setting?
is it Delivery Block 01-Creit Limit check?
Reg,
AmolHi Amol,
You can gonfigure it from SD > Basic functions > credit management/risk management settings > credit management > define credit group and assign sales doc and delivery doc. addtionally, you need to maintain automatic credit control configuration and maintain it to customer specific from FD32 regarding of its credit control area.

Block cash sales with credit limit blocking from creation of outbound
Hello everyone,
Can you please teach me how to block cash sales with credit limit blocking from creation of outbound delivery? Currently, outbound delivery can not be created only for charge sales with credit limit block. Problem is, we can not confirm the cash sales. We have to delete first the outbound then unblock the S.O. before creating a new Outbound.
Thanks in advance.
RidgyCash sale transaction will not have credit limit block, as the transaction is based on receipt of immediate payment. But if you still want to try the same, configure a 'Z' transaction Type for cash sale (Copy of Cash Sale - Sales Order Type) and maintain Credit check field as 'D' and try the scenario.
Ideally there should not be a Credir Check foe a Cash Sale Scenario.

Credit Limit Check - Exclude Specific Documents / Credits from Exposure
Hi,
I would like to know if it's possible to exclude specific document types (credits) from the credit exposure calculation used during credit limit checks.
The ideia is to exclude "DG" credits in customer GL that are related to Trade Deal/Agreements to avoid over-exposure.
Let me explain:
Currently, our credit management is configured to "Static" + "Open Items" for all credit groups in the CCA. Therefore, SAP calculates the credit exposure as:
CE = OPEN ORDERS (S066) + OPEN DELIVERIES (S067) + OPEN BILLING (S067) + OPEN ITEMS (BSID)
Regarding "Open Items", I understand that SAP calculates the net value between all debits (receivables) and credits (returns, overpayments, etc...) already posted and not cleared in the Customer GL account. This rationale is correct since the credits are due to the customers and should be deducted from their exposure (i.e. "you may not pay them if you don't receive").
However, in our case, we also pay trade deals contracts (i.e. trade incentives and trade marketing investments) directly to costumers and apart from sales orders or credit memos. The flow is the following: (1) contracts are managed on a satelite system and interfaced to SAP; (2) contracts are created in the costumer GL as a credit (doc. type "DG"); (3) credits are sent to accounts payable for payment via F110.
Problem is that, contract credits volume is significant and are impacting customers credit exposure and limit check, resulting in greater exposure than allowed. That is, orders are being released while contract credits are open in the customer GL up to the max exposure, but when contracts are paid the exposure goes above the limit. For example:
Day 1:
Costumer Credit Limit: 100
Sales Balance: 30
Open Itens: 50 (receivables: 70 / contracts: -20)
Credit Exposure: 80/100
Day 2:
Costumer Credit Limit: 100
Sales Balance: 50
Open Itens: 50 (receivables: 70 / contracts: -20)
Credit Exposure: 100/100 (no additional orders are released)
Day 3:
Costumer Credit Limit: 100
Sales Balance: 50
Open Itens: 70 (receivables: 70 / contracts: 0 - contracts are paid on day 3)
Credit Exposure: 120/100 (exposure is above customer limit since contracts that were being deducted were paid)
Any ideas or thoughts? Is something wrong in the explanation above? Should contracts credits be treated through special GL?
Many thanks!Hello Julie,
the 2nd, System behavior (how do you interact the credit limit check (yes/no question) via DI?)
Workaround:
Before you issue the Document, you may do a manual check: BP balance againt Credit Limit, and make deceision.

Credit Limit based on customer and material?
Hello Gurus,
I've 2 diff types of goods..
1) fast moving/ selling goods
2) slow moving goods.
For a particular customer, I've assigned certain credit limit of say 10,000 EUR via FD32.
My question is, for the slow moving goods or one particular material/certain goods, I want to have higher limit--is it possible to configure to assign credit limit per customer/ material?
Rgds,
Raghu.Hi,
As preceding answer, it's not possible in standard SAP.
The credit check is on the totallity of sales order, not by item.
If you are in the same sales order different materials, what is the reaction of system ?
But, you have different options to check this :
- Exclude material in credit check (according to material group for example) by using requirement in OVA8.
- Create a new condition type to check the credit limit in Ztable for customer/material. When you create sales order, a message is displaying according to your configuration (or blocking status for item).
You can compare Ztable (credit limit for customer/material) and another table for open orders.
Just an idea.

Advance payment can not be used against credit limit and another sales ord
Hi,
I have advance payment scenario where customer want advance payment cannot be used against another sales order and against any credit limit.
Let me put one example.
Customer X is having credit limit of 1000 USD, if my client is received customized product order then he will take advance for this special order but customer X is already enjoying credit limit of 1000 USD. In this scenario my client wants advance payment received cannot use against any sales order and against any credit limit.
If I will post advance payment in F-29 then customer credit exposure will decrease against credit limit in FD32 which will affect normal sales order credit limit. Here customer does not want to utilize advance payment against credit limit of customer which is use for normal sales order.
Please suggestHi,
You can use the SAP standard documentary payment management functionality together with credit management for this purpose. You need to configure Documentary payments in SAP first. For that see below link;
[Documentary payments|http://www.learnsaptips.com/2011/09/how-to-handle-letter-of-credit-in-sap.html]
Then the advance payment has to be created as a financial document in SAP. This is just a SD only document and no impact to FI. During sales order creation you can assign this document number in to your sales document. It is possible to add it to sales order header as well as to individual line items.
If the attached financial document is sufficient to cover the value of the total sales order (If you attached to header) or value of the line item (If you attach it to a line item), system will NOT take that value for credit exposure calculation.
As far as I understood from your question, this is exactly what you're looking for.
Best regards,
Anupa -
Credit Limit on basis of product .
Dear Guys,
Kindly let me know how to configure credit limit on the basis of product wise to the customer, eralier we are running credit limit on the over all basis.
Please let me know the complete process with t codes.
Thanks and regards,
AtulIf you want credit check to be executed only for specific materials, you can classify these materials using soem fields like material group.
Then you can enable your custom credit check in OVA8 in the last 3 checkboxes given for custom made credit check.
Other way can be through user exits meant for credit check. Some of the user exits pertaining to credit mngt are
LVKMPTZZ
LVKMPFZ1: USER_CREDIT_CHECK1
LVKMPFZ2: USER_CREDIT_CHECK2
LVKMPFZ3: USER_CREDIT_CHECK3
