  • Credit memo against a vendor invoice

    Hi All,
    I am trying to post a credit memo against a vendor invoice. After posting the credit memo I want the outstanding balance against the vendor to be reduced by amount of credit memo when I do F-44: vendor clearing.
    So for eg: if the invoice amount is $100 & credit memo amount is $10, I want to see only $90 in F-44. How can I achieve this?
    Right now I see Invoice amount $100 & credit memo amount $10 separately.

    you have 3 ways to clear the Open line items(OLTs)
    example:
    1. follwoing document posted in FB01:
        invoice        : 40 expense 1000 USD/ 31 vend13  1000 USD
        credit memo:21 vend13     100 USD/  40 expense 100 USD
    2. A :you could clear above 2 OLTs using "charge off differece" in F-44, enter posting key 31, vendor and
            amount 900 USD. the result should be:
             001 31  0001 VEND13    900-
             002 27  0001 VEND13    900
       B:residual clearing in F-44, you will receive the below result:
          001 34  0001 VEND13  900-
          002 27  0001 VEND13  900
       But the re-requisition ifor above 2 solutions are the values in all fields which are includeded in structutre
       KONTAB_1ST are the same.
       C:partial payment in F-44, Below result:
           001 27  0001 VEND13   100
           002 37  0001 VEND13   100-
        Then clearing the the left amount 900 in invoice, you should select the inovice and the partial clearing
        document together.

    The only way to trace the Invoice to wich a credit memo was done is if the credit memo was created with reference to your invoice. Check the fieds REFERENCE or ASSIGMENT in the header of your invoice, because by customizing one of them should have your original invoice number.

    Can anyone please help me
    Scenario:
    I have created a credit memo from retro-billing due to price drop, and released the credit memo to accounting.
    Problem:
    When we look at the accounting document of the credit memo it doesn't have a controlling document and profitability analysis.
    I have simulated the document at KE4ST, and here is the error message I got
    Document is not profit-related and thus could not be transferred
    Message no. KF755
    Diagnosis
    Sales document was not transferred to Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) because it is not relevant for the analyses in CO-PA. This can be due to one of the following reasons (among others):
    The document type is not profit-related, such as an inquiry
    The sales document shows zero for the quantity
    The sales document has been denied
    The sales document is locked due to credit reasons
    Please anyone give me an idea on how can I resolve this..

    In line item display of the vendor (FBL1N) you can get the information in the field "Invoice reference" in the output layout.

  • Creating a credit memo by referring Billing document

    Hi All,
          I am creating a Credit memo Say <b>CM</b> by reffering a Billing document say <b>B</b>.The Billing document has been created from a Contract say <b>C</b>.
          Now while creating the CM the contract dates need to be copied from C to the contract data screen of CM.
          I have used <b>Copying control Billing Document to Sales Document</b> for achieving this.
         I have edited the VEDA(Contract data) in the routines 302,303,402 etc. but its not reflecting in Contract data of CM screen.
         Please help me in resolving this.

    We are using SD module to create Billing invoices and Credit Memo's.
    1. Dispute case created for Accounting invoice (Generated from Billing invoice).
    2 Credit memo raised in reference to billing invoice and FI document generated for Credit memo.
    We are in need to add Credit memo to the existing Dispute case in the Billing invoice.
    I have tested this scenario and this is not an standard. Any inputs in this regard is highly appreciated.

    Object type BUS2094 is the object type for a sales order - so you could use this - but this will bespoke

    What the system does now is, it copies all the Condition Types from the Billing Document to the newly created Credit Memo.

  • Credit Memo Generating even Billing Block

    Dear Friends
    We have created one Credit Memo Request as Like "CR".  Sales document Type. and Credit Memo As Like "G2".
    after that we created all copy control as like standard.
    we are facing problem that when we create Credit Memo with reference to Credit Memo Request it  generating even there is Billing Block still not released.
    but when we are using standard CR and G2. We have to release Billing Block then only we are able to generate Credit Memo.
    Please give solutions where is our mistake.

    this is the standard business process
    the credit memo should not created until the higher authority approve the credit request,because the money goes out of the company, so some higher authority has to approve.
    the settings is maintained in VOV8 (CR)-billing - billing block- 08 (check credit memo)

  • Update Profit centre for Credit Memo request whose Billing is compeleted

    Dear All,
    I have an issue for a creditmemo request whose billing is already been completed and consequently the invoice has been cancelled but unfortunately the Credit memo request (CMR) is pending in the incompleteion log for the profit center which need to be entered. The document flow shows blank in the status field for the CMR.
    Need your advice how we can update in the sales order (CMR) thou the field is greyed out and not able to change the profit Center field in the change mode by changing any other fields as well.
    Is there any transaction where in can we change the field values directly related to Profit Centre (In account assignement tab at Item level of the sales order)

  • Can I apply credit memo against a Deposit through Autoinvoice

    We have a requirement to credit back the amount from deposit which has balance > 0. I'm planning to use the Autoinvoice Program. I'm populating the REFERENCE_LINE_ID as the CUSTOMER_TRX_LINE_ID of the Deposit Line from CUSTOMER_TRX_LINES_ALL. I'm getting the below error.
    Errors:   1) Your credit memo transaction can only credit an invoice or a debit memo line (1018863)
    My Question is - Can we apply the Credit Memo towards a deposit through Autoinvoice Program ? If yes, please let me know the columns that we need to populate in interface table.

    I try to find SAP notes regardsing the credit memo request for intercompany related issue but I can
    not find any nates. The customer return the goods with 2 different
    scenario :-
    -Return with credit
    -Return with replacement.
    Can anybody explain how this 2 scenario perform in the SAP

    Enter IG (internal credit memo) as the billing type for intercompany
    billing for order type RE.
    Cust-Sales/distrib-Transactions-Billing-Intercompany billing-Order types
    Intercompany billing always refers to a delivery
    Processing flow will be:
    1. Create returns request invoice receipt (with or w/out reference)
    2. Create returns delivery and goods receipt
    3. Create credit memo invoice receipt for customer for 1.
    4. Create internal credit memo for 2.
    Therefore you must make the following entries in the document flow
    for billing documents:
      Target BillType        DlvType              ItemCat
    a)    IG                  LR
    b)    IG                  LR                    REN
    Parameters for entries:
    For a) Copying requirement:  14  Dlv.-rel.header IV
          Copy item no.: x  (Check and decide yourself)
    For b)Copying requirement: 15 Dlv.rel. item IV
          Data VBRK/VBRP      : 1  Inv.split (sample)
          Billing quantity    : B
          Qty/itm val.pos/neg : +
          Pricing type        : G
    Also, refer following SAP Notes
    13160 - Returns with intercompany billing
    24756 - Credit memo requests with inter-company billing
    652007 - Reporting internal credit memos on arrival side
    11980 - Intercompany billing with order-related billing document
    164074 - Problems for internal invoices on returns

  • Header Billing Plan - credit memo and debit memo

    Folks,
    I have the following scenario here.
    I have a billing plan order (BP) - with header billing plan.
    I have three lines in the billing plan
    1) $5000 ...FAZ (Billing Request)
    2) $10000...L2 (Debit Memo)
    3) $3000...G2 (Credit Memo).
    Once i go to VF04,
    I have all three billing due. However, only billing type FAZ has the header conditions (PR00, AZWR, TAXES) populated and net value $5000. (Populated against AZWR)
    Both L2 and G2 have no header conditions populated and the net value is 0.
    The copy control is set up the same for all and all have same document pricing procedure (A).
    Is it something basic I'm missing or is there anything else I have to do?
    Or pls let me know the process for debit memo / credit memo with a billing plan.
    Pls respond ASAP as we have the Proof of Concept scheduled sooner.

    Hello,
      I think that basys of this process is not correct: the purpose of billing plan is to define different invoicing schedules, typically for businesses working with projects, and on top of that, billing plan is the only standard way to manage advance payment and automatically determine the settlement of the advance payments on final invoices.
    For this, in my opinion it's not correct entering in the billing plan items with Credit Memo or Debit Memo request. You should have only andvance payment items and invoice items (document category = M).
    In a common invoicing process, you can have the following steps:
    - Down payment request (FAZ);
    - Invoice (F1) reduced by the downpayment amount (if that is the case);
    Then you can create a Credit Memo request, against the Invoice, if for some-reason you have to revert back something to the customer; or you can create a Debit Memo request if you have recharge the customer with reference to a document already invoiced. I think that invoice type G2 and D2 should not be "planned" steps in an invoicing process. On top of that, it's not advisable creating Credit Memo requests with reference to an invoice containing downpayment clearing item, as it would lead to incorrect postings into accounting.

So, if i want to create credit & Debite memo for supplying party to Ordering party how to create. Because here we are creating invoice wioth out sales order and creating with reference of delivery note. In this process sales order creation belongs to ordering party to customer. So where we can maintain Credit & Debit note for Supplying party to ordering party. I think when we create invoice can we maintain billing type as credit note? please suggest me to maintain Cr. & Dr Memo In Intercompany billing between Supplying company to Ordering company.

    For intercompany stock transfer if you want to implement credit & debit memo in intercompany you need to reference credit & debit memo requests CR & DR or the returns order with delivery NL. You will define them in the sales area of the supplying plant. Then you maintain the copy controls from RE to G2 / D2 or CR / DR to G2 / D2.
    For intercompany sales, the customer returns the goods to the ordering plant. Not the supplying plant. Coz customer doesnot know from where the ordering plant brought the goods from. So in that case customer to ordering plant is standard returns process. Returns between the ordering & supplying plant is again like mentioned above.
