Hi all,
We are using Windows Mobile 2003 with SAP Mi 2.5 Sp18...
Now my team by mistake is using Creme version :CrEme327a_AX_CE50_PPC_minimal.CAB.
I downloaded CrEme327b_AX_CE42_PPC_minimal.CAB which is the latest version for Mobile 2003..
Can anyone guide me whether using the higher version creates problem..Should we shift to CrEme327b_AX_CE42_PPC_minimal.CAB

Hi Neha,
You should definitely shift to 327b_AX_CE42_PPC_minimal.CAB because it is meant for windows mobile 2003, 327a_AX_CE50_PPC_minimal is for windows mobile 2005. Upgrading to the latest version always have benefits with some defects being fixed!
You will have no problems with 327b

PPC 2003 and Creme

Hi All
I have downloaded Pocket PC 2003 as an emulator for my test purposes.
And I have tried using all the three follwing creme versions as a JVM for the emulator.
CrEme327d_AX_CE42_PPC_minimal.CAB
CrEme327a_AX_CE42_PPC_minimal.CAB
CrE-ME412_AX_CE42_PPC_minimal.CAB
But each time it results an error saying - Creme is not a valid PPC Application.
What can be the possible reasons for it and What is the way out.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

It's good that I helped u partially.
If u installed everything mentioned in my last thread, I think right now u have three things installed in ur desktop.
1)PC Pocket coldboot
2) Device emulator manger
3) Ms Active Sync
Right?
First of all start ur PC Pocket coldboot(let it start fully),
go to ur Device emulator manger. There under "others"
there is an id select that one, right click on that and select cradle.
It'll start to synchronize this device with ur desktop and also the CrEme327a_AX_CE50_PPC_minimal.cab file.
After this synchronization, again put MI25Tom_en.cab file in the shared folder (if these files are not there)and everytime when u are putting this emulator on cradle,it'll automatically get synchronized.
Now go to ur emulator>file explorer
u can see these cab files ...right?
Click on the CrEme327a_AX_CE50_PPC_minimal.cab to install the JVM
then
click on the other and install it in the same way.
One more thing>>> to run ur mobile application u need to keep the Tomcat server of ur desktop's MI client in running mode and u must be logged into the MI client from the desktop.
I think now ur problem will be solved.

Problem registering CremePie.dll file

Hi All,
I am working with signature capture in standard MAM. I am trying to run the standard signature capture functionality in PDA. I have deployed mamsignapplet.cab and
signaturecapture.cab files in side WEB-INF\signature folder.
In SAP Note 897289, I read that we need to register the some dll files in PDA, so that the browser will supports the applets in it.
Also in the same document it was mentioned like
For CrEme versions 3.25, 3.26 and 3.27a there is an acknowledged by NSICOM
bug as plug-in registration link contains wrong dll path for those
versions. Copy/Paste both "Register/Unregister Plug-In" files from
\Windows\CrEme\Demos to your desktop with the help of ActiveSync, open both
dlls and change the existing line with the following
\windows\regsvrce.exe \windows\creme\bin\CremePie.dll.
I have copied Register Plugin/Unregister Plugin files to my desktop and tried to edit them. But they saved as shorcut and I could not edit them. I have checked the properties of that file. There file type is Shortcut and target is \windows\regsvrce.exe CremePie.dll.
Can any body please tell me how to edit this file or can we create this file.

Hi,
for that I use the software "total commander" from http://www.ghisler.com/ running directly on the PDA. This gives me the ability to edit the file on the PDA.
Please see if REGSVRCE.EXE is available in your windows directory. Some verndors do not deliver that file, cause it is not supported as standard CE file. If this is the case, download the .NET SDK for CE. This installs the file on the PC in the WINCE500 directory - you can download it from there to the device then.

IS THERE ANY POSSIBLE WAY TO GETA SCRATCHED SCREEN FIXED?

Me again, sorry. Does anyone know what the story is if your freind's kid got a hold of your video iPod and did a number on the screen (i.e. scratched the **** out of it). Bummer, since it was <1wk old. I have the extended care plan. Do I have any recourse to resolve this issue bseides the undesirable option of springing for a new iPod? Hi TMS, I have read quite a few questions just like yours and many have recommended a product called Ice Cream. The first two links below are reviews of the product and the last is a link to the site to buy it.
I have not tried it myself, but you never know. It's worth trying before you spend more money on a new iPod.
I do agree with the other poster though, your friend owes you a new iPod if their kid ruined it. Just another reason to stay away from children

Is there any way to get scratches off led screen?

I swear the plastic covering the LCD screen is as soft as butter. It gets scratched as easily as the underside of a cd. In hindsight I know i should have always kept it in a protective case, but now that what's done is done is there a way to buff out the scratches?

Some UI controls not displayed properly on Windows Mobile 5.0

Hi All,
I had developed an application which works fine at Window 2003 edition but when we try to run it on windows 5.0 then some of the controls do not appear.
Can some one help me out to figure where the basic problem is.

Hi Akhil,
Windows 5.0 is expected to have a performance degradation over Window 2003, but that is due to change in Windows I/O architecture.
Windows 5.0 requires MI Client of SP 17 level or higher, please make sure you have that on your client device. And the Creme version should be 3.27a and higher.
In case the check is good, would it possible for you to provide me few details of what type of controls are not getting displayed?

I cant start SAP NetWeaver Mobile 7.1

Hello!
I explain my situation.
I downloaded SAP NWM 7.1 from here

CrE-ME412_ARM_CE42_PPC
I just follow the instruction from the next post:
Basicly,
1.Install Crème cab file
2.Install MINDB cab file
3.Install pda_runtime_wince.cab
4.Install pda_eswt_container.cab
When i start the NWM its appear a message "Creme is Running..." but next nothinh happens.
I see my log file and it says:

Prblem is on your windows mobile 6.0 / 6.1. WM 6.0 /6.1 is not officially supported by SAP MI client yet. But eventhough we were able to bring up the MI client on WM 6.0 . You need to install the correct CrEme version using the below download link:

You have to use the CrEme 4.1.2 for Netweaver Mobile 7.1 .
Alos you need to use the correct MI client CAB file for the MI client installation.
We used MI Client SP 13 version for Windows Mobile 6.0 or try SP 20 . Either one of them will work.

Mobile devices which support SAP Netweaver Mobile 7.1

Hi all,
I would like to know what are all the mobile devices which would support application made of Netweaver Mobile.
According to my knowledge the following devices support, sorry PDA's support:
PPC 2003
PPC 2005
Mobile 6.0
My question is will normal mobile phones like Nokia or Sony ericsson will or will not support applications based on Netweaver Mobile.
If not why? any specific reasons.
My client is asking me these all Questions.

well, I understand the reason for your question, but I think it is not that easy.
Sure, there are other JVM available for Mobile devices. Take J9 from IBM for example. But the problem is: every vendort has his own implementation, toolset, supports Swing or not,.... Well, sometimes it is just a small thing that is not working in one JVM that works fine on the other one and MI fails. With MI7.1 it gets a little more problematic. Up to version 7.0 MI supported Creme 3.xx based on JRE1.1.8. Starting with MI7.1 SAP supports the latest creme version that is compatible to JRE1.4. There are only a few JVM outside for the PDA supporting JRE1.4 and all this comes to the single sentence at the end:
SAP supports only Creme - because it is only tested with creme.
The min requirement is in the first place to be able to run Creme on the device. If this is ok, you should have 128MB RAM - I have not done any tests with MI7.1 on devices with less memory, but I got some issues with 7.0 MI and 64MB RAM.
Well, at the end this is it to run MI occasionally connected.
But if you need to run an App on the PDA and you do not need data storeage on the device cause you will be always online when you use the app - try WebDynproMobile. This runs in the browser, runs on the Mobile phone by my knowledge and could help you perhaps. If you are not always online and so you need data on the device, I think you need to go with PDAs.

MDC Mapping

One of my customer was asking me this regarding to their implementation of MDM landscape...
Based on what we have seen in the XI repository depending on the target MDC-system a specific CREMAS version is used.
The MDM configuration guide talks about mappings like "CremdmCremdm03ToMDMBusinesspartner" for 4.6 MDCs and "CremdmCremdm04ToMDMBusinesspartner" for 4.7 MDCs
So the questions are:
1.
What in case the MDCs are using
a) earlier CREMAS versions (which is definitly the case for SRS-systems => sending CREMAS01 to Fusion). Do the MDCs need to change their custominzing - need to switch the format or do we need to adjust XI-content?
b) IDOC extensions are used (that is probably a more theoretical case) - same question.

Hi Dawei,
In general, both scenarios require enhancements on the MDC, the XI and the MDS.
If you look at the master guide it states that MDM 3.0 supports R/3 releases 4.6C and higher, which means CREMDM03 and higher. Earlier versions, 4.0B to 4.6B, can be supported on a project basis but SAP Development must be involved.
As for your second question. If IDOCs are extended and this data is relevant for MDM, then there are a series of enhancements that must be made in the MDC, the XI and the MDS. The document "Extending The Business Partner in MDM 3.0" is available at http://service.sap.com/instguides -> SAPNetWeaver -> Release 04 -> Installation -> SAP MDM and provides step by step instructions to do this.

yo guys here´s tha theng, this ipod video scream it´s way too fragile man!...does anybody knows any product that can help me cleaning my ipod scream?!...my scream its all scratchad up dude!...it haves many scratchs on it, sometimes its hard to see the videos because of the scrtaches on the scream. Signature Capture Software Installation on PDA

Hi,
In note: 897289 (Signature Capture Software Installation/Deployment), Using functionality on PDA point (6), the creme version is 3.27a.
How to edit the 'Register Plugin/Unregister Plugin' file after copy to desktop?
And in /windows/creme/bin, there isn't the 'cremePie.dll' file, where to get it?
Because when click on 'Regiter Plugin', the message "Loadlibrary("CremePie.dll") failed. GetLastError returns 7e.

Copy the files to desktop, right click ,select "send to" option and send it to either notepad or textpad. You should be able to edit this using notepad or textpad.
And in /windows/creme/bin, there isn't the 'cremePie.dll' file, where to get it?
Cremepie.dll will be in /windows/creme/bin. If it is not there,then creme installation is not successful. Try reinstalling the the creme again and after installing the creme, perform a soft reset of the device so that all the Dll's are loaded .

How to remove scratches from macbook pro aluminum body

I got a small scratch (without any indentation) on the narrow strip of aluminum left of the keyboard and just above the USB sign.
It's a scratch of 2mm length extending from top to bottom (in the picture it's the part where the aluminum body is faintly grey).
And I was wondering whether there is any proven way to get rid of it, or at least conceal it because that little imperfection is driving me crazy!!!
And I would appreciate it if nobody said "Get a sticker", "It's a small scratch get over it", or any other positive crap like that.
Cosmetics are just that important to some people...

When it comes to Car or Laptop scratch, there is hardly any solution that works. Applying toothpaste or some other weird solution may only clean the surface or make it more glossier but I am doubtful if it can remove any scratches. Device locks up

We are using MI 2.5 SP18 on Intermec 751 devices. The devices have 128MB of memory. When our users are running the application, the device will sit idle for several minutes and will go to sleep. Then when the users wake up the device, the application is locked and they can't do anything and they have to reboot the device.
Also, when the user synchronizes information the night before they leave, they come in the morning and the device is locked and they have to reboot. Sometimes the synchronization gets locked up as well.
Does anyone have any idea on what causes this locking? Some devices it happens 2-3 times a day.

Replacing the iPod Screen

The plasic screen that covers the LCD screen, as well as the back reflecty thinggie on the back of the iPod are both scratched to ****. I'm looking to get these replaced. I went to Best Buy and they said that those kind of things aren't covered under warrenty, but Apple might be able to do that for a fee. I googled some websites that offer screen replacement, but I'm wondering if these are legit. I'd prefer to have Apple do it (i'm willing to pay for it). So does anybody know if Apple will replace the front and the back of the iPod? If not are any of these sites legit? Thanks in advanced.

EVERYTHING is scratching my iPOD

I have a DLO leather case, so the screen is always covered, but it still has scratches. Today I tried using one of the micro cloths that came with the iceCream stuff with water. Guess what? It scratched the screen more! Is there ANY way I can clean my iPOD without continuing to add scratches to it?
This is so frustrating.
